The first time I heard AFI, I was watching a show on Fuse and they came on. The music video was The leaving song pt ll and I was hooked. Soon as I had enough money I went out and bought STS. And became even more hooked. I have also hooked some of my friends to them too.

The first time I heard AFI was through the Silver & Cold video. The very first time I saw it, I was like...hey, this is pretty cool. The second time, I really watched it, and then realised...OMG, this guy's really, really hot. The third time I watched it, I was glued to the screen. It dawned on me then, I had to find out anything and everything about these guys.
So I went online, looked up AFI, and found everything. Pictures, lyrics...
My reaction can be best decribed as eek ... whee !!!
I immediately went out to get a burned copy of the StS album from a friend for five bucks. BAD MOVE. I'm now booklet- & cover-art-less.
But hell, I found my favorite band, right? All because of my girlish obsession with Davey.
Unfortunately, I'm always broke, and can never get any albums sad

I was watching fuse trying to soak up as many GC vidoes I could find when silver and cold came on. I thought, "Hey... this looks like an awesome band." A few days later I saw the musc vid for Girls not grey and fell in love so I got the Cd and now I'm hooked.

I first saw some dude wearing an AFI shirt in my schoo.Then I saw Silver and Cold on t.v,and liked it.I decided to download it and afterwards I heard TLSPII on the radio and downloaded it.Then I downloaded some AoD songs.I bought AoD then.Then I got all their other albums.

Silver and Cold was the first song I heard by AFI. I was watching Yahoo!Launch and ya know how it plays random songs and all *shrug* Silver and Cold came on and I was drooling all over the place. I thens tarted looking up all their other stuff ^^ That was about two years ago.

Hmm.. summer of '03... I think it was.. >>; I was listening to the radio.. and The Leaving Song Pt. 2 came on and I just.. o___o I dunno. Something came over me, I literally fell over onto my bed and complained when the song was over, and then yelled at my radio for not telling me who the band was. xD So I did a lyrics search, and boom.
Now I'm a rabid fangirl. mad

i got sing the sorrow for my birthday one year and fell in love, keep in mind i was so sick i could barely move, maybe thats why i love them so much, they hepled me regain my strength/former self. ever since ive been running sround trying to get all the stuff i can get involoving afi. im sorta sad that i never got a chance to see them back in the day, when they had straight 90's punk, but i cant wait, any afi is better then no afi.

When I first heard them I was listening to the radio and Girls not Grey came on. Then I heard The Leaving Song pt. II and Silver and Cold. Soon after that I bought Sing the Sorrow.
The first time I heard A Winter's Tale I was supposed to be doing my in my website design class. But I was looking for AFI songs and I stumbled across it. It's now my favorite song. xd

IDK y but tha first time i saw GNG i thiught, "this is freaky nope dont like 'em" then i changed my opinon of it later as i watched. i just weirded me out a bit cuz i was just getting out of a rap phase. yeah...... sweatdrop Then i saw TLSpt2 and i fell in love w/ Davey heart it was just so catchy and i jumped into my moms room going "BREAK DOWN, AND SEISE ALL FEELING!!!!!!" She was asleep and i got tha sleepy WTF look. she went out and bought me STS just to shut me up. then stole it from me. Grrrr. i stole it back and played it till it wore out. she then bout me tha special editon and her tha vynal. grrrrr i want tha vynal too!!!!

My memories not too great, but here's how I remember it... I was bored out of my mind, and I was going through various channels, looking for something to listen to. I stopped on that VH1 mega hits channel, and I saw a video for this band I have never heard of, and I autimatically fell in love with it. It was Leaving Song pt. 2.... Then, about a week or so later, I saw Girls Not Grey... Another great one. I knew, that AFI was my new all-time fave band.... And that was almost 2 years ago...

easy. this guy i like liked afi and asked me to learn how to play the beginning melody in the second song on sing the sorrow. i borrowed the album from my best friend and memorized it and learned to play it with my amazing listening skills. loved them ever since. daveys voice is so mesmerizing...
