"Have a good day, Richard," she said, her paw still on Comet's shoulder.
The pair of them cut across the sands toward the cooling shade of the edge of the jungle. Nita padded along the well-travelled path to the village. The heat made her sleepy- with Comet worn out from her morning of playing, both would rest well.
