Kiefer raised an eyebrow as the mare looked at him for a moment, and then went under. He blinked, a bit surprised. What was going on? Why had she done that? The stallion looked down into the water, but it wasn't clear enough to see more then the blurry deep reddish brown figure below.
She wasn't coming up. Oh god. She wasn't coming back up. The stallion's eyes widened, it had been a good 30 seconds. he looked left, and right. They were alone, he wasn't that great of a swimmer. But it didn't matter, because this was all his fault.
Kiefer took a breath, and dove under. He opened his eyes, that was a mistake. The salt water stung horridly, but he took a moment to look down. He let himself drop, until he was next to her. She seemed distressed, or at least he thought so. The stallion was a good deal bigger, and had some good muscles on him from all the traveling he did.
He took her mane in his mouth, not pausing to think about this causing any pain to her. He squatted down, and then sprang up, and kicked. His head jerked downwards as he felt her weight, but they were not very deep, and the momentum and the kicking managed to get them both above water. He hoped she was still conscious, and that he hadn't hurt her.

Man was she dumb. Just plain dumb. But, Hey! that was Autumn. She tried herbest to hold in a squel when he used her MANE to pull her up. Her BEAUTIFUL tri colored MANE!!! Ok, she was over it.
NOw out of water she coughed a bit from holding her breath and then lifted her head. "Thanks for saving me. Learned you lesson?" HE pretty much did have to save her. She was getting weak from holding her breath so. It wasn't ALL a lie...was it? Neh, no. Now her body was sandy and wet. She waded her way back to the water. God the sand off and came back over to him. Still gasping deep breathes.
She stood silently and prayed he wasn't the bipolar type. Man would that be bad...

Kiefer blinked. "What are you talking about?" he asked, tilting his head to the side. "You went under on purpose, and I was able to get back up, PLUS with you're weight" he said, hoping she didn't think he was implying that she was fat. Although, like most things on earth, she took up space, which usually meant she had SOME weight to her!
The stallion laughed, taking the ordeal in good humor. Kiefer didn't often get angry. Frustrated, sure. Annoyed, of course. Angry? Naw. "Now I think the proper question is, Autumn. Did YOU learn your lesson? That trying to get any sort of point across to me is useless, I'm too stubborn. The hard way, or no way" he said with a laugh.
He dunked under for a moment to get the sand that he had stirred up off him, and got himself up again. It probably wasn't that she was weak that she couldn't get up, it was probably because she didn't know how to deal with it, and was smaller. He had always been good at jumping, since childhood, and was a good deal bigger then her.

Did he just call her fat? Autumn, the one who runs every morning and night...fat? Pssh. "well, you were able to get me out and onto land so I must not weigh THAT much." She replied calmly. "I'll thank you for putting me in the sand too." She replied sarcastically. Snorting her way through the conversation.m "Done playing in the water or shall we continue Mr. stubborn?" She question holding back laughter.
Man was she in a sassy mood. After her plan backfired she wasn't exactly happy and fine but, more laughing and sassy. She nodded her head thoughtfully to herself and walked back to the ocean.

Kiefer laughed "I never said you weighed much! But you have to admit, everyone weighs something. In fact, if you didn't, I would be a bit worried!" he said, shaking his head. Females were just SO sensitive about that sort of thing, weren't they? He had never seen any fat female, or one that was ugly, but they all seemed so worried about it!
He laughed again, smiling "And sorry, next time I will make sure to drag you by your mane all the way to the shore, regardless of if you are conscious or not. You know, just in case" he said, nodding.
Kiefer brought himself out of the water, shaking off "Well, I don't know. I wouldn't want to have any more incidents" he said

she didn't take what he said offencive. Just more or less the way he said it was worded as if he was calling her fat. "Of course I weigh something. BUt, If I had to drag you out of the water. We might have problems." She replied once more sacastically. Continueing to walk out of the water.
"I'm about done getting wet today." She looked around and over to some rocks. "Ever explored a cave?" She turned around to question. She HATED the dark but, it was still light out which means the cavewould have some light shinning in it.

Kiefer grinned "Now now, muscle weighs more then fat, you know" he said with a smile. He joined her completely on the sand, quite satisfied with his first ever visit to the beach.
"Cave?" he asked, thinking. "No, I don't think I have." he said. Kiefer knew fun well what a cave was, and had been inside one once or twice for shelter, but never explored one. They always seemed to go back rather far, but he never had the urge to find out what was back there. He thought it was all just rocks, rocks, and more rocks.
"Sure, lets go then!" he said, looking around, quite curious as to where this cave was, and what it would be like.

She smirked when she arrived to the cave. Standing before it like it was the best thing ever. "OK so here is how it goes. Go in. Take a left a right another left, left, right,left, right, right, and if you hit a dead end go the other way. I'll be right behind you." She replied and began to walk into the cave. Maybe he would get lost! Oh wait, then she would have to find him and it was almost...night.

"Left...right....left..right...no wait....ermm" he said, looking at the cave. Was it really that complex? "If you know the way, why don't YOU lead it?" he asked, grinning challengingly at her "Do you really expect me to lead with those directions, or would you rather get lost?" he asked, remembering long, long ago when he had gotten very, very lost in the woods with his friend, Tierce.
Of course, now he was a bit mature about it. Before they were just playing chicken on who would go into the 'scary' forest the furthest, and both were far to stubborn to turn around. It wasn't until they both realized how hopelessly lost they were that they considered turning back, and then after another hour or so of being brats, they finally did.
He moved inside the cave. It was dank, and dimly lit. Autumn had presented it like it was truly fantastic. It just seemed...depressing to Kiefer. Then again, everyone had their own opinions.

"Fine." She replied acting a bit huffy that it didn't go her way. She made her way into the cave and crept along the sides. Her hooves pattering in some puddles. "You never know whats around each corner." She chriped behind her to him. Peaking her head around each corner before walking out. The cave began to get darker.
She slowed to a halt. "Your turn to lead..." She replied with some hesitation to go any further into the dark.

Kiefer never feared the dark much at all. Most of the time he was able to adjust, and never really understood why it upset some so much. It was just like the light, only with out it. Maybe the critters were out a bit more, but they wouldn't hurt you! And from what he knew, the big bad soquili came out as often in day as they did in night.
"Ok, but we're going to get lost!" he said, smiling. He walked past the mare, and into the blackness. At this point there was almost no light, but the pathway along the tunnel was straight. "What is so great about this place, exactly?" he said.
Kiefer was always up for an adventure, but this was rather odd. Even he had to admit it was rather creepy, in the dank cave that was steadily getting darker. On top of it all, he hadn't the faintest idea of where he was going, even. "Does it lead to anywhere?" he asked, not enjoying the thought of going all the way back.

"Yea it leads somewhere." She replied quickly and took up quickly to the rear. It lead out the otherside to a swamy medowish thing. Autumn didn't know what it was but, she knew it was cool to wonder around. Getting their was the problem.
"Lost..." She wispered quietly to herself. Tought Autumn would crumble in the dark and being lost.

Kiefer smiled "Ok" he said, and kept walking. Soon they came to a fork in the cave, but Kiefer didn't realize it, so he kept going. It was getting darker and darker. Nearly completely black. He could barely see three inches in front of him.
The stallion strained his eyes, willing them to adjust to the light, but all he saw was black. Complete darkness was an odd thing, you feel as if you eyes are closed, but they aren't. And you wait for them to adjust, or to look to the side to see something, and it doesn't happen.
"I can't see a thing....can you?" he asked, looking back at Autumn. Or, at least, staring back into the spot where he estimated she was. "I doubt going into this cave was a particularly good idea..." he added, not afraid, but a bit uneasy at the idea of total darkness
