"Ah..." She nodded slightly, glancing at him with a smile before turning back to the swamp. "Is it that much different deeper in the swamp...?" She shuddered to imagine it... Right now was bad enough. The smell... and.. over all disgustingness. "And me.. Well, my story really isn't that interesting. I suppose the same as you... Not much different than the rest of my kind..."
She stopped suddenly and looked down at the dark earth. Something smelled different here... She leaned down and sniffed at the earth. The smell of rot, and death... A smirk crossed her face as she looked up to see a small, faint blood trail. "Well, we're close."

"ahhh, boring lives" he sighed sarcastically "its a good thing those can be remedied. he fanned his ears forward as she said they were getting closer "oh are we now?" he lowered his own head to sniff at what she was sniffing at. shaking his head and snorting he frowned "huh... sure smells a bit like deaths been here" he picked back up and continued to follow her "so how did you know this Jedrek? when did he pass?"

She paused and glanced at him. When did Jedrek pass..? Hmm... She realized she wasn't sure. "He's.... a friend, I guess.... I'm not sure, actually... I think he's kinda old... so.. awhile ago, I think... But he's ok now. Well... As ok as a dead person could be." She smiled akwardly at him then continued to scamper forward, following the blood trail until she rounded a large coffee tree, and came face to face with a certain zombie Numa.

he stares at her, utterly confused about the last part. and admittedly letting his mind go a little crazy with his imagination. but no, or cource not, she was probably just speaking fondly of him, he was still a gave and she was talking about his spirit.
it was certainly odd to sudenly have another face in his, and even more so he recognize it. not stopping his chewing, he blinked slowly at the bright eyes of Calypso. "hello Calypso"
tilting an ear to the side as she stopped, wondering if there was no way around. but then he hear a voice... a very strange voice indeed, greeting Calypso. "err" he growled softly, flattening his ears back threateningly and waking heavily forward to stand behind her and glare softly down at the Numa around the tree. "WOH!" what he saw however, be it Numa or not, caused him to yell out, putting a paw on Calypso's shoulder and guiding her away from the rotting beast, baring his tusks at it.

When Jedrek turned to her she smiled softly and stepped closer to him. "Hello darling." But then... She heard the outburst of Equis behind her, followed swiftly by him pulling her back. She yelped and leaned against him, her smaller side pressed against his. Wide, glowing blue eyes reguarded him with an eyebrow raised. "What in the world are you doing...?"

Jedrek blinked as she was suddenly pulled away, eyebrow slowly raising as he turned his head up to see a very large Coffee. she didn't look in distress, meaning that she probably knew him. he looked back at Calypso, then reached out grab another handful of beans.
the fur around Equis' neck was standing on end, not that he needed that to make himself look any bigger, "in the name of the Coffee witch, what IS that thing!" he didn't understand just yet why she was acting so calm. did the best have her under some kid of spell?

She blinked for a moment more, then laughed loudly. It made sense now that she thought about it... He had probably assumed she had meant Jedrek was REALLY dead... Not... half way there. She smiled and brushed her cheek against his neck. "Relax... It's just Jedrek. I told you he was dead... He's.. well, a zombie I suppose. But quite nice, a real unique gentleman, like yourself."
Her fish, not being afraid of Jedrek either, took a second to swim over to him. They did a lap around his head, waved their fins at him, then darted back over to Calypso and Equis.

Equis continued to stare at Jedrek, looking down at Calypso, as if expecting her to say this was some kind of joke. but Equis could see with his own eyes... that... thing was actually rotting. "... so they were not just telling stories" he still didn't let go of Calypso. leaning forward slightly and staring at Jedrek,
Jedrek noticed the hard stare he was being given, lowering he handful of beans he was about to toss into his mouth he stared right back at Equis, perhaps he wanted to say something? taking a moment to look at the fish that came over to greet him, then followed them back to Calypso "you came into the swamp" he said, feeling the need to point out the obvious.
he curled a lip. what a disgusting creature, he felt slightly offended being put in the same category as him. a "unique gentleman"

She certainly didn't mind being pressed up against the larger male... So she leaned against him, grinning slightly, amused by the situation. When Jedrek spoke to her she nodded slightly. "Yes.. well... I was bored and wanted to come see you. How have you been, Jedrek?" She muttered, cheek still laying on Equis' neck.

feeling her so close to him, and even leaning on him only made him want to pull her father away from the Undead Numa. she seemed to talk to talk to him however. but why? he was so... dead!
"I needed caffeine," he said slowly "this should sustain me for a while" he started forward, towards the two, only to pause as the large glowing coffee recoiled from him, taking Calypso with him. so he just stopped, and sat down. tossing some bean in his mouth. "who is you're friend" he asked blankly

A side-ways glance was given to Equis, frowning slightly as she was pulled away from Jedrek. "Why are you in such a hurry to leave..? I'm not leaving, if I did it would mean I got my feet stinky and dirty for nothing..." She pouted up at him, batting her eyelashes slowly for a moment before tilting her head back to Jedrek. "This is Equis. Excuse his additude, he's just a bit startled."

"ah, pardon" he said, shaking his head and carefully lifting his claws off of her, holding them up as if to say "I'll back off" to Jedrek. "I just... didn't want him to drip on you"
Jedrek didn't say anything, just watch the two talk. he knew his race was often distrusting of one another. and this reaction was not at all surprising, for a Coffee especially. he rolled a shoulder, to show he didn't mind Equis' "attitude"
"soo" he started Awkwardly "Jedrek was it... you close to Miss Calypso?" he narrowed his eyes slightly,
Jedrek glanced at Calypso, this was a question about friendships... something he didn't know anything about. he didn't have feelings for her in the normal sense of the word, and for all he knew, she didn't have any for him "I notice when she is gone" was all he could really say on that.

A small giggle escaped her. Even when Equis let go of her she sat beside him, but not leaning into him like before. Jedrek's answer had amused her further... Well, she wasn't expecting much from him anyway. She understood his souless personality, and didn't expect... nor want much else. It was all different and unique to her. She loved his coldness.
"Aww, how darling. Thank you Jedrek, I notice when you're gone as well. It doesn't stink." She teased, voice bouncy and obviously joking.

Jedrek smirked, and chuckled at that comment. He could not smell anymore, but he had been told that he often had a very strange smell about him.
Equis didn't like this undead Coffee, ohh no not one bit. And it confused him even more why someone as magnificent as Calypso would. Neck hairs brisling again at the sound of his haunting chuckle. He didn’t dare say anything, anything he could think of to say was not friendly in the least.
Jedrek pushed to his feet again, having finished the Beans he had been holding. And started to walk away, but paused and glanced back at Calypso and Equis “I’m finished here… an knowing Jayce he’s probably been waiting for me ta get back for a while”

Calypso blinked slowly as Jedrek started to walk away. She pouted, head lowering a bit. "Oh. But I just got here..." Though there was probably no keeping him here, and she could tell Equis wouldn't want to go with them, if she followed. Hmm.. What to do.
She raised a paw to rub her cheek as she pondered, using the top of her paw so that she wouldnt get her face dirty. She looked between the leaving coffee, to the one beside her. Which to choose... Who's company would be more entertaining... After a few moments of silence she looked up at Equis. "Well, I suppose if he's leaving I have no point in being in this aweful place... I don't suppose... You'd walk me home, to the edge of the swamp, at least?" Perhaps, if they were lucky, She could stay behind Jedrek and talk to Equis, then catch up to Jedrek later when they got out of the swamp.
