((Cool, maybe I'll start his quest-thinger tomorrow. xp ))
"Hopefully the elders will know what to do." He couldn't see his mother in there, but the others maybe? He was just too worried and scared to go in and see. He wasn't a hero and his power wasn't good inthere to help.
Aspen took her hand and walked away with her. "I hope whatever is happening turns out ok." He felt bad leaving, but he did have his reasons.

Takeko squeezed his hand; a reassuring gesture. It was as if they shared one mind sometimes. She realized he was just as upset as she was about the matter and felt that her job was to take care of her mate for now. "I'm sure it will, dear," she nodded, matching his stride as she folded her wings over her shoulders. It wasn't that she was cold, exactly...though there did seem to be a bit of a chill on the air.
She said it would be okay, and she trusted the Guardians to watch over them; but that didn't mean that bad things couldn't happen along the way. The most she could hope was that nothing serious happened to anyone.
"I wonder where the kids are," she mused aloud. They hadn't seen any of them in a while, afterall. "I hope they're all okay and staying far away from that place."

Aspen nodded his haed, he was sure she was right. Nothing bad had really ever happened here. Weird things, but nothing really bad. So, why would they start happeneing now?
"I don't know, but I'm sure they have the since to stay away." He hoped that what he said was right, but then he didn't raise any dummies!

Takeko chuckled a bit. "I'm sure you're right." She smiled weakly, taking his arm as they walked. "We raised some good kids, didn't we?" She glanced up at Aspen's face, needing some form of reassurance. A smile, a comment...anything would do at this point.

Aspen smiled down at her, "Why yes we did, I think they take after you." He chuckled and leaned down to place a soft kiss on her forehead. He wanted to make sure she knew if would be ok.
((I think I'll have to get on the wedding thing next week, busy weekend. lol))

Laughing, Takeko poked Aspen's side playfully. "Alright, flatterer. Compliments will get you everywhere," she smirked, leaning up for a quick kiss. "Though, you had something to do with that too, ya' know." She winked, then leaned lightly on his shoulder as they walked.
Everything would work out okay. It had to. She had faith it would.

"Yeah, right." He said with a wink, "You are the sweet one in this relationship." Aspen chuckled and put his arm around Takeko as they walked. "Maybe one of the kids will be home for a visit? You never know."

Takeko didn't bother to argue with his compliments anymore; it was a hopeless case. Instead, she moved on, nodding. "Yes, that would be wonderful. It's been so long since we've seen Saffron or Mei Lien. I hope they're doing well."
Pausing in silence for a bit, she added softly, "Even longer since we've seen Kane or Cabel. They took off on their own before Saffron or Mei Lien were even born. They were only children then. I know they were growing up fast, but still...I can't help but worry that they tried to leave too early. Before they were ready, I mean."
Then it hit her. She hadn't seen Kane or Cabel since they were children. Her own birth children were both adults now, so it only made sense that her adopted sons were too. Would she even recognize her own boys if she saw them again?
Yes. Of course she would. No matter how much they had changed, they were still her sons. She would know them no matter how much they had grown.

"I'm sure they are doing wonderfully." He did hope he would see them, because Takeko seemed a bit sadder after they grew up. "Saffron is even taking care of a little one."
"I bet they are fine too. Kane and Cable learned alot from us..you." He did worry about them from time to time. They did leave awful young, but they must have been ready. Some paes only needed guidance for a short time. His Mother even lived alone as a child, so they had to be ok.

Takeko nodded, a genuine smile crossing her face. "You're right again, love. They're good boys. They really are. I hope that they're happy in whatever it is they're doing now...though I would like to see them again some day."
She chuckled softly, shaking her head. "Poor Saffron. I hope that little one isn't giving him too much trouble. I can't help of think of how much Devyn reminds me of Kane in a way. You remember how he was at that age, don't you?"

Aspen smiled, "When are you going to learn that I'm always right?" He winked and chuckled as he was joking. "Yeah, it really would be nice to see them."
Aspen was secretly hoping to see the kid's faces back at the house now. "Yeah, I remember. What a little handful!" He nodded and wonder what Kane turned out like.

"Probably never," Takeko teased back, grinning. "And who knows," she mused aloud, "Perhaps one of these days we'll meet someone who's run across them recently."
Chuckling at fond memories of chaos and disorder, Takeko smiled. "Yes, quite a handful...and Cabel didn't exactly help matters, though he was an affectionate little dear." Idlly, Takeko began wondering if there were some way she could possibly spread word that she wanted to see them again...or perhaps one of these days, she could just go look for them herself.
She had been growing more and more daring in her solo ventures around the isle, covering larger amounts of new ground with each trip.

((Sorry about not doing the weddings. I was thinking about waiting until I'm not so stressed. LOL))
"Never say never, my darling." He said with a bright smile. You could never say that on this Isle, becuase you just never knew what was going to happen.
"Yeah, kept things fun, those two. Maybe we should have more kinds one day?" Aspen winked, he was sure she was done with that, but you never knew.

"Yes, yes, I know. Though, I have trouble learning these tricky lessons sometimes, you know," she teased back, kissing his cheek.
Takeko blushed deeply at the implication, however. "More?" Not that she was entirely opposed to the idea...she did miss the pitter-patter of little Pae'il feet through the kitchen while she was cooking. But, she'd have never thought...again...
"I don't know," she answered, deciding to 'test the waters,' so to speak. Grinning back at Aspen, her cheeks still pink and a playful sparkle in her eyes, she asked, "Don't you think we're too old to be thinking about raising more kids?"

((Lol, I know. I just feel bad when I say I'm going to do something and then don't.))
Aspen smiled and hugged her closer, he loved the feel of her kisses on his cheeks.
Aspen looked down at her, "No, I don't think you're ever too old to have kids, or adopt them. I think it would be great to have more kids around...but only if you do." He sure missed the little ones running around.
