Chris, on the other hand, opted to stand outside the room. Half of him was slightly frightened at this prospect, lest he get lossed within this confusing hulk of...dimensional craziness. But another part of him could sense the apprehension inside, and so he chose to avoid it at the moment, mostly out of respect for the fact that it did seem awkward inside, and the fact that the whole bag-dropping-off-business had nothing to do with him.
And so, he leaned against a semi-normal looking wall outside, whistling some tune nonchalantly. Chris constantly had one tune or another in his head, it seemed. Right now it was the Star Trek Theme.

Vivian nodded and slowly stepped over, setting her bag down just inside the doorway. Part of her slightly regretted asking to see the ship... but for the most part she was glad she had. She just felt a little uneasy, and undoubtedly curious as she observed the Doctor's reactions, his smile less powerful than normal, his awkward manic laugh and his propping against a wall. Those bags had definitely sparked some sort of memory... and she wasn't about to ask about it.
She nodded and propped her umbrella lightly against her shoulder, and back-stepped from the room. "Well, thank you very much for allowing me to leave my things here..." she murmured, smiling lightly at him. "I am ready to move on to the beach. Perhaps a little show of magic?" She blinked, head tilting as she glanced toward Chris, fully out of the doorway now so the Doctor could follow. "Though, I'm unsure if you mentioned knowing any yourself..."

"Yes! Yes, the beach. Good idea." The Doctor nodded a bit too quickly, eager to leave. He followed Vivian out as quickly as he could without barreling into her, and spied Chris on the way out. He could already breathe easier the instant he crossed that threshold, every step that took him away from those cases added a slight spring back to his step. Out of sight, out of mind...or as close as he usually managed.
As he reentered the console room, the Doctor quickly checked the readouts on the monitor. Seemingly incomprehensible squiggles blinked across the screen. "Everything's A-OK here," He said, after a minute of scanning them. As much as he'd want to get out, he'd needed to check that his ship was coping enough with repairs on her own that he could rest easy leaving her behind again. The alien dashed round the console, flicking a nob here and there, before going towards the entrance, grabbing his coat from the railing. "Shall we be off? To the beach!" He pushed the doors open and wandered outside.

The darkly dressed girl breathed out a silent sigh of relief as the doctor seemed to recover as he exited the room, something she'd hoped would happen but wasn't sure if it'd be that easy. It seemed like it had worked out, at least for the most part. Though she was sure that the thoughts were still lingering somewhere inside. Just like hers. And probably the blond's. And most everyone who had lived a normal life with something they didn't wish to think about. Her reminders were in the bag she always carried with her, and she felt odd, her hand flexing without it in her grasp.
She adjusted her grip on her umbrella, eyes following his rapid movement throughout the area, toggling this and that as he made adjustments that she didn't understand. But that was to be expected. She'd be alarmed if she really understand anything that was laid out before her. "To the beach..." she repeated, with a considerable lack of enthusiasm, despite that she'd been the one to remind him of their destination. She really didn't care for such places in the slightest. Sighing quietly, she glanced back at Chris once more and then eased herself out the door, umbrella popping up to hover over her again, casing her already hidden face back into shadow.
