hm... im not fluent in anything other than english, so i would be a horrible teacher for those
however, i could be a tutor for people who dont know much english (but can speak semi-understandable english; ie: broken english, such as "I no want soda") im very good with grammar (even if i type without capital letters and apostrophes)

I can teach German, French, Spanish and Italian. German is my native lanuguage and I've been learning French, Spanish and Italian for 7 years. I know enough of each lanuage to be able to write, read and talk it them. Probably at adult who has been living there for 20 years level.

Umm... I could help teach Arabic. I've taken two years of Modern Standard with one year giving some study to Egyptian dialect.
French is my specialty (5 years study and counting), but it's already been done.
Annnnnd... I could teach English! I know it doesn't sound like a great idea, but I know Old English pretty well, and I've taken courses in language history... especially how we got here from where we were back then, and why our language is just so weird today. smile
BUT... my biggest suggestion is this: I think that even more than language teaching, I would love the opportunity to spend a month teaching a quick and dirty course in Linguistics. I've been studying linguistics for 3 years, and as a foreign language student I realized that it was a lot easier for me to learn foreign languages (like Arabic) once I knew the nuts and bolts of how languages worked and learned some metalinguistic principles. And since teaching linguistics is what I want to do for a career someday, I think it would be fabulous to get a chance to try my hand at teaching it now, in a more casual setting...
Linguistics lessons would take me absolutely no time to set up. I could have it ready for February, if nothing else is set up!
So... pretty please?

I can teach some Vietnamese. ^_^ I'm full Vietnamese, and I live in a super Asian community in California; so they actually offer a coarse for it here. I can add the markings and everything, but I'm not sure if I could teach it for a full month. sweatdrop

I hate that the whole "language of the month" thing has been dropped, but even if the Mods never officially approve the idea, I think it'd be a big help to many of us.
