Brayden had taken a seat by the bank of the stream, sitting cross-legged as he watched Tin clean himself up a bit. Aella wasn't too keen on getting in the water herself, but she was poking a taloned foot, scraping the pebbles worn smooth by the flow of the water. Finding a couple of ones she deemed pretty, she fiddled with the idea of picking them up. One head seemed all for it, another against, and the third was just watching the clouds up above.
At Kaya's cry, Aella jumped, startled, as she let out a squawk. She whirled, expecting an attack of some sort, but was confused when she saw nothing. So instead she discussed amongst herselves what the cause of Kaya's collapse was.
Brayden, fortunately, was a bit more proactive than his Dodrio (although hardly any more graceful). He dove, slipping to splash in the shallows of the stream as he rushed to Kaya's side, worried beyond all reason. While his pants got a good soaking, he paid it no heed, resting a hand tentatively on Kaya's back, unsure if there was anything he could do to help.
There was that horrid feeling again. Knowing something was wrong, that Kaya was hurt. And yet there was nothing within his knowledge that could be done to help. Chewing slightly on his lower lip, Brayden could only watch from the sidelines as Kaya had a swift conversation with his Jirachi. Brayden couldn't make heads or tails of what the two meant.
"Gift of Shaymin?" Brayden parroted back, wondering what it was. Gifts shouldn't hurt, right? Unless they came from Team Rocket, and anyone stupid enough to accept one from them probably needed a little lesson taught anyway...
Kaya's next words caught him a bit off guard, however.
"Lance is on the move?" he asked, "How can you tell? Does it have anything to do with whatever just happened to you? Is he somehow behind it?" Brayden choked back several other questions that where currently barraging his mind, realizing that Kaya probably wouldn't appreciate a sudden one-sided game of 20 Questions.

Kaya recovered from the pain quickly enough. Rem, on the other hand, attempted to quell Brayden's worries. "The Gift of Shaymin is an infallible connection with the world itself. The one blessed with the Gift has such a deep knowledge of the earth's life that, when it's been damaged or altered in some tremendous way, they feel a sort of ethereal pain. No real damage is done, but they can feel the Earth's pain." the Jirachi explained, yawning widely after he'd finished.
"It feels like things are out of place, or just plain missing." Kaya voiced, pulling out his Pokegear. The map wasn't as convenient as his Poketch, but it was much more detailed. Thankfully, he had Map Cards installed for all of the major regions. "It's obviously not going to show anything that's changed recently but it might do us some good to help figure out where Lance might've started screwing with the world order." he offered a dry laugh, knowing the situation was anything but funny.
The map showed all four major regions in their entirety. "I figure it'll be in remote places, where people aren't likely to catch it right away." he opined, looking the maps over. It took less that thirty seconds to notice something horribly, horribly wrong. His face immediately showed horror. "...........where's Iron Island?" he asked, pointing at the area where it should be. His Pokegear had a satellite uplink to keep his maps current with recent topographical changes.

Brayden listened as Rem explained, still frowning slightly, worried.
"So, does this mean every time Lance decides to crap things up, it'll hurt?" he questioned, not too pleased at the notion. To him it didn't matter that there was no physical damage to Kaya (although it certainly would have been worse if there had), the very idea of Kaya in pain was sickening to him.
He looked over as Kaya opened up the map application on his 'gear. It took him until Kaya pointed to the blank space in the ocean that Bray realized that indeed, Iron Island was nowhere on the map.
"Would Linux know if anything else on the map has changed since the satellite feed was last updated?" Bray questioned Kaya. At the very worst, there may be other areas that were affected as well. He figured the Porygon may have noticed other changes and make them easier to notice for them as well.
An uneasy feeling was starting to gather inside Bray. Things were bad. There was also the unsettling notion that Lance was behind this. If he had the power to make whole islands disappear, what chance did Bray have going against that kind of ability? He hardly considered his own skills on par with the planet-changing powers of the blade Lance now possessed.
In reality, what chance did they have?
Shaking off the darker thoughts that clouded his mind, Brayden turned his attention back to the map Kaya had.
"This sucks..." Brayden offered eloquently.

"Perhaps, but only if does something extreme." Rem replied to Bray's question. He hung in the air for a moment, almost as if doing nothing. "Hmmm....The All Mother doesn't answer my call....This must be meant to be an affair of mortals." the Godling replied before returning himself to his Pokeball.
Kaya shrugged to Bray's next question, though he quickly called upon the Pokemon's assisstance. "Linux, would you have any information on the latest global changes?" he asked of the off-color Porygon.
"Linux will check the global weather report. Give Linux a moment." the Pokemon responded in his robotic voice. The sound of static, a dialing phone number and then a busy dial tone erupted from the Porygon's form. "Satellite uplink engaged." a female voice, much smoother than Linux's own, announced.
Kaya waited with bated breath to hear what news the Virtual Pokemon would uncover. His own thoughts seemed to be following closely behind Brayden's. He'd seen what that Sword could do when he'd been carrying the blade piece back in Lilygrove but he'd never expected the completed weapon to hold this kind of power. "I agree."
Linux opened his eyes and looked at his masters, a deep male voice issuing forth to reveal what he'd found.

"Global weather reports that the Seafoam Islands in South Kanto, once an icy paradise for Water and Ice Type Pokemon, has erupted into a dense jungle. The Lake of Rage in Johto seems to have suddenly gone completely dry, causing the local Magikarp and Gyarados populate to go berserk. The Hoenn Desert seems to have grown an enormous oasis at it's heart at nearly the same instant, both as if overnight. In SInnoh News, Canalave fisherman have reported the disappearance of Iron Island from local waters. It seems as if all of these strange occurrences have coincided with a strange attack on Pewter City. Local law enforcement has evacuated the city until the incident can be brought under control. The only information available is that the fossils once found in the highly reputed museum seem to have come back to life. As undead!"

So Brayden assumed that they had to finish things as swiftly as possible. He hoped that Lance wasn't feeling too experimental with the completed blade. That would mean more messed up areas, and more pain for Kaya. Both of which weren't a pleasing prospect for the water trainer.
Bray watched as Linux retrieved the data, listening solemnly as the Porygon rattled off the different areas that were different than they should be. What worried him the most were the changes in Pewter.
"While the other areas that were targeted seem to be on the outskirts, Pewter seems like it would be the most trouble. After all, that's a common place for new trainers to visit. Its the location for the first gym in Kanto. Its crazy to think of the fossil's coming to life," Brayden murmured, his voice lowering, "I hope there aren't too many injuries because of this..." The last thing he wanted was for innocent people to get caught up in all this. And from the looks of it, that's exactly what Lance knew, and cared little about.
"It looks like this is going to put a damper on our vacation plans," Bray sighed. Although the sigh was more directed at the situation, than any loss of relaxation time. A small part of him was strangely enough, relieved. To hear that Lance was up to something meant that there was no more of that uncomfortable waiting period, worrying about when he was going to finally show his hand. But on the other hand, the dragon master certainly had thrown a wrench into the workings of the world. That wasn't something to be taken lightly.

Kaya sighed in annoyance. "Why couldn't Lance have waited a few more days to start this up?" the man asked of no-one in particular. He'd been hoping to finish out the short vacation they'd been blessed with.
His inner voice seemed to be in complete agreement with Brayden, though. That awkward, tense feeling inside was finally gone. There was no more suspense filled waiting for the next strike.
"Ya. I agree, there." the man agreed aloud. "Think we should head over there and help out?" he asked after a moment. He was pretty sure Chloe had been headed that way when the group had split up back on Enkotsu so she might close enough to help if she got the news report in time. But what of Nona and the others? Chloe wouldn't be able to stop all of it on her own.
"I hate having to end our honeymoon so early, but it looks like the world needs help again." the man sighed once more, looking to the skies.

Brayden couldn't help a laugh, shaking his head, "Seems the gods are against our honeymoon. But I know I couldn't enjoy myself knowing that Lance is causing so much pain for everyone."
"Do you think we could help out the people in Pewter?" Bray asked. He had no clue how they could battle undead fossils. Perhaps they should stock up on holy water? No wait, that was vampires... Brayden absently wondered if any disreputable salesman would sell bottled Fresh Water with the promise it would banish any undead fossils that happen to invade your home. While it did wonders on a Pokemon's health, Brayden truly doubted it would do any good against walking fossilized ancient Pokemon. Other than get them soggy (and maybe a little irritated).
"Think Chloe knows of the situation?" Brayden asked worriedly. He didn't want their friend walking into the situation by mistake, "Maybe we could send her a message? If she's in the area, it'd be a good idea to give her a heads up."
((lol, although Astral is probably more than well-aware of the situation. xD Bray likes to worry, though. Gives him something to do.))

"Neither could I, love." Kaya agreed easily. While he really had hoped to see the entirety of the island, it seems that their plans were not fated to reach their completion.
"I'm sure we could.....somehow." Looking to the skies once more(Seems he'd been doing that an awful lot lately), he realized that he hadn't the slightest idea how they could be helpful. Maybe they could help evacuate? Or build up some kind of blockade to prevent those....creatures from reaching the rest of the region?
"I'm not sure but I left my PokeNav back home so I can't contact her. Mind sending her a message from yours to see if she knows?" he asked, calling Tin to his side a moment later.
"I think we're going to be leaving soon, my friend. Best return to your ball for the long run." he advised, receiving an agreement fairly easily. He recalled the Pokemon to his ball and turned back to Bray at that point, hoping that they'd receive a quick response from their friend.

Brayden nodded to Kaya's comment, "Well, perhaps we can take a raincheck to explore this island in its entirety later on?" he suggested. He was just as eager to explore this place as Kaya was. He enjoyed what little they had seen thus far, and would easily agree to coming back later on. The battle area had seemed interesting enough, but Brayden was curious about the resort and survival areas of the island.
Plus, you'd have a hard time convincing Bray that spending some time with Kaya in this place wouldn't be fun.
"Yeah, I have mine," Brayden mentioned, taking his pack from his shoulder to rummage in it. It took some digging. He really hardly ever used his PokeNav. But eventually Brayden located the wayward device, booting it up to type out a message to Chloe.
"Maybe we can meet up with Chloe there to see if there's anything we can do to help?"
Aella watched as Tin was recalled, deciding to join alongside Brayden. Looked like things were getting serious, one head decided, the other two agreeing easily.

Bray's Nav beeped out a return message from Chloe: Hey guys. Geez. I'm in Victory Road at the moment, so yeah, I'm near Pewter. I can head there to meet up with you guys if you want to join up. Sounds like things are crazy, glad you guys weren't caught up in any of this just yet.
Sorry to hear about your interrupted honeymoon. You guys deserved a nice break from all this. Hopefully we can get things put back together... somehow. So you guys can get back to relaxing.
I'm going to head back to Viridian, then make my way through the Forest to Pewter.

Kaya watched as Bray sent a message to their friend. "Ya, we can come back here anytime, we just have to stop Lance's evil plotting first." he agreed with his love's earlier suggestion about exploring.
"I hope she doesn't get in too much trouble before we get there." the man commented after he had seen the woman's response.
"We could probably get back to Kanto pretty quick if we fly back to Twinleaf Town and take the train from there." he added, thinking about the fastest way back to the 'original' region. "I would say take the Bullet Train but it only runs between Kanto and Johto."

Bray nodded, "That sounds like the best route to me," he agreed. He was glad he kept Aella in his party while they were on the island. It would mean an easy departure when they decided to do so.
Aella chirruped, looking to the bushes on the far side of the stream. Something was there, she realized, pecking at Brayden's sleeve in warning. Brayden followed her focus, seeing a Floatzel emerge from the bushes to get a drink. The weasel paused at the stream, noticing the humans, eyes narrowing.
"Flo!" it challenged diving into the stream to cross it swiftly, coming up on the other side.
Bray summoned Meliae, the small Oddish regarding the substantially larger opponent, casting Brayden a dry look.
"I know you can take him," Bray assured the small plant, who sighed, shaking her head. But she didn't retreat, as Brayden called for a Seed Bomb. Meliae shot out several seeds from the top of her head. The small seedlings ensnared the Floatzel in an explosion of grown, tangling the water weasel to halt its movements. Once the Floatzel was trapped, the vines erupted into an explosion. The weasel countered with a Crunch, charging at Meliae and clamping the Oddish in its jaws. The small Oddish cringed, but countered with another Seed Bomb as Bray requested of her again. Once more the Floatzel was trapped in explosive vines, and this time it was enough to ensure that the water type wouldn't pick another fight with them. The Floatzel backed off, offering a hiss, trying to intimidate Mel. The Oddish countered by sticking her tongue out. Not too intimidating, but the Floatzel eventually backed down.

"I have to say, I'm used to being on the other side of that match-up," Bray admitted, kneeling to thank Mel, offering the Oddish a potion to heal her wounds. The Oddish refused the motion, dancing away a few paces, before soaking up the sunlight in a Synthesis, which healed her just as effectively as any synthetic potion could. Brayden sighed, bagging the potion again. He had never raised a grass type before, maybe he should ask Kaya for a few pointers...
'Or maybe she just doesn't like you,' came Ari's mental quip. As impossible as it was, Brayden could feel her smirking. He rolled his eyes.
"You're no help..." he muttered.

"I think I'm going to head on out now. I don't like leaving you behind but I know you'll catch up to me before I'm gone long." Kaya voiced as he turned his gaze to the south. "Be safe on the way and don't make me wait too long." He hugged his husband tightly and gave him a warm kiss to keep him company before he reached to his belt and grabbed Trojana's Pokeball.
Calling out the Steel bird, he smiled at her. "Think you can carry me to Twinleaf?" he asked of the avian, who nodded and screeched a reply. "Thanks girl." Climbing onto the Pokemon's back, he gave her a nudge at the base of her wings and the two took off.
