Running? That was a game that she had known since moments after she emerged from her basket. She had been chased by her brothers but that was far different than this... Then she had fled hoping that they would never catch up. Now?
Now she found herself hoping that the one chasing after her would catch up... If only because it would make things more interesting if he did. She was taking her new adult life and running with it, determined to make the best of every moment.

He was almost glad he was bigger than her for the moment. While she had to dodge around things he could easily crunch thicker branches under his hooves or push past low hanging branches.
Grinning as he neared her he reached his head out and nudged her hindquarters softly. He didn't want her to trip but he wanted her to know that he was still there and she hadn't lost him.

She turned her head, catching a quick glimpse of the stallion behind her before facing forward once more. She threw everything that she had into a burst of speed as she pulled out of the trees, breaking free onto the plains. The grass beneath her hooves was soft and the breeze rustling her mane as she ran made it even better. This was freedom.

He slowed slightly as she took off. He could watch her easier that way and since they were out on the open plains it wasn't like she was getting away.
Even if she was younger she was a rather pretty Mare. The image on her hind end and slight glow aside.

She skidded to a hault at the top of a hill, rearing up to 'battle' the sky as she had seen both her father and mother do on various occassions. It felt good. Really good... Like another amazing part of the freedom she had just now fully started to acknowledge as she began to understand.
She tilted her head as she landed, looking back towards Nuka once more to see how close he was... And whether or not he was planning on joining her.

He was trotting up the hill at a leisurely pace as she turned to look at him. "Reveling in some new found freedom?" He stopped once he'd reached her and shook a few twigs out of his mane. The run had been fun and made him feel younger than he was.
He didn't do things like that often. Maybe being with her for a while would do him some good. He could forget being older and try to regain some of his youth.

"Enjoyin' life..." She smiled brightly, giving her head a light toss. "Everythin' you said earlier t'day made me think... Ah was raised t'be free yet Ah'd never experienced it." She moved closer to the stallion, giving his neck a nuzzle that was meant to be nothing more than friendly. "Don't it feel good t'just... Run?"

At least she'd spent time thinking about what he said instead of brushing it off. He'd figured that would be what she did and it was good to know she hadn't.
"That it does." He ignored her nuzzle for the moment. She couldn't have meant it as anything so he shouldn't take it as such.

"So, Nuka... Y'feelin' any better now?" She nickered softly, tail giving a little swish behind her. "Seems like you needed t'loosen up a bit... If anythin', a run's good for that." She was warm and the air seemed a bit colder now that they were out in the open. It sent a shiver down her spine causing her to shift closer to the stallion for warmth.

"Feeling a little less old." He laughed softly as he shook himself to get some of the dust off. He'd need to go roll around in the river for a while after this. At least the dust didn't show up all that well on him in the first place.

"Maybe you should take a bit o' your own advice." She nodded slowly, tail flickering against his flank as she touched her nose to his neck. She shifted her head, letting that light touch become a lingering caress that brought a smile to her face as she closed her eyes.

He turned his head so he could look down at her. "And what advice would that be, hum?" He'd probably said enough advice in the course of the day that he could have told her anything.
It was nice to have her head against him. The air was slightly chilly without the heat of the sun and she was warm. It didn't hurt that it made him feel slightly less lonely either.

"Mm... Ah don't know. It's your advice, ain't it?" She nickered softly. "Ah'd think you'd know your own advice well enough by now..." She opened her eyes so that she could peer up at him. "Feel up t'one more race, Nuka?"

"I get asked for a lot of it so could be any number of things." He chuckled and kicked at the dirt under their hooves. "Think you're up to it? Wouldn't want to wear you out or anything." He trotted away from her and off toward the river once more.

"Ah think you give it more than you're asked for it." She nickered as she trotted after him, giving his side a gentle nudge before taking off ahead of him. "Ah could run all night, Nuka."
