Yiska had become so engrossed in the race that he didn't notice a small rock in the middle of his path. One sharp hoof hit the smooth surface and shot right out from underneath him, sending him into a tumble that would eventually drag down Raum as well if the other colt didn't get out of the way.

Raum never saw it coming when Yiska tripped and went crashign right into him. squealing and flailing, Raum was not happy at all to be crashed into duing the race. grunting and wiggling about once they stopped in a heap, he had a angry look on his face. " next time don't fall and take me with you!" huffing, he nipped at Yiska to get him off him.

Spindly legs everywhere, Yiska scrambled to get out of the mess. Quickly hopping to his feet, he shook his whole body which was now dirty from rolling. "I didn't mean to!" His voice was high pitched but he cleared his throat after a second. "Stupid rock!"

Raum snickered at how high pitched Yiska got with his voice. he snorted and shook his mane then got to his feet. " yeah, yeah, yeah." looking about it seemed they tumbled right as they got to the edge of the forest. " soooooooooooooo are you chicken or are you brave enough to go in there?" smirking at Yiska, he waited.

Yiska turned his gaze towards the tall, tall trees infront of them. It did seem kind of scary and quite a bit spooky from his stand point. He shook it off and gave the forest a determind look while puffing out his chest and lifting his tail high. "I'm not a chicken!" Mustering up all his courage, he trotted into the trees with an air of confidence. Turning his head slightly, he looked back at Raum. "Are you chicken or are you gonna come to?"

Raum snorted then puffs his chest up, and boldly starts walking up to Yiska. " i'm not about to be a chicken, so lets go!." shoulder bumping Yiska, Raum trotted ahead. of course he had no plan of eating his own words of calling Yiska a chickenand being mocked and didn't care how scarey the forest seemed as he went in.

"Right!" Giving a small grunt, he started after Raum. Though he kept close as to not get lost. If that happened he might never find his way out of this place. The forest was dark and foreboding, a bit scary for the young colt. But he made no notion of letting Raum see that it did make him a little weary.

Raum snickered and tossed his short mane. he being his hot headed self would never show he was scared as it was a sign of being weak atlest he felt that way. looking ahead, he figured he wouldn't get lost here since well he was a storng colt so he could't get lost. troting with his head held high, he had a smirk on his face, masking his true wearyyness. " so think we will find anythign in here?"

Yiska lowered his tail slightly as they got deeper into the forest. His ears perked up instantly as Raum spoke. "I dunno. What kind of things are usually in forests?" His eyes wandered carefully at their surroundings, taking in everything. Shadows seemed to move and he often heard strange noises.

" i heard from my mom and dad that there are things that will chase us and eat us if we alone." Raum had his ears flicked back and he carefuly made his ay with Yiska. the noises and shadows about them creeped him out and now he was wishing he hadn't done this but it was too late now. snorting, he was deturmend to not show he was scared.

"Chase us and...eat us?" Yiska swallowed a hard lump that had formed in his throat. But he still put on a facade of courage. He wondered what kind of creatures would want to chase them and eat them. Lions? Bears? Who knew.

" yeah but i think we could take them" Rau still had his ears laid back as he heard more strange nosies about him. if he had be smart he wouldn't had let his hot headedness get them in this creepy forest. glancing about, he thought he saw something move about in the bushes which caused him to freeze in place. ".... Yiska did you see that?"

Freezing instantly in his tracks, his ears perked up in an alert position. Setting down his lifted front leg, he swivled his ears to listen. "See what?" Panick was starting to set in. What was it that Raum had seen? Right now he wished his mama was here.

Raum lowered his head with his ears pinned still. " in that bush i saw something move." he took a bold step towards whatever was in the bush. the only thing coming from it was russling about and then silence. stopping again there was now a odd silence that made Raum wish his big, strong father was there.

Yiska didn't move from his spot. His legs were ready to spring into a quick run out of this place the instant something happened. Watching Raum, he lowered his head. "Careful Raum. Who knows what's in there..." His voice was nearly a whisper as he watched.
