Fear is known to most of us, is it not? Pip questioned him but fell silent as they landed and she walked calmly into the cave, moving in to where she could be sheltered from rain but still see outside she pressed herself against one of the cool cave walls and lying down, wondering what they would do next.

Cerast grinned, “They where a gift from my country to the dwarves. Unfortunately most of the ones back home where killed or badly injured recently.” As she spoke on her smile faded and she shrugged, letting go of Elijah’s hand and walking calmly down a long flight of stairs into a large banquet hall that was buzzing with the deep voices of male dwarves and the slightly high pitched ones of the females.

Cerast ignored the stares she received as she marched across the hall and spoke swiftly to a slim female dwarf that nodded and then she turned to Elijah, “What would you like?”

His name was Adrian, “Ano, ano es jo?” she looked at Radian wondering what his name was. Then paused, thinking, she had been taught the language they where speaking. She shook her head, she didn’t know enough to speak it. Sighing and still shaking with nervousness she stood and nodded toward Adrian and Radian, she didn’t really care for her early question anymore although se had asked Radian his name she didn’t care. If he understood, which he seemed to, then he could answer later.

“Fallento…” she said and turned on her heel, hoping that the two would understand her and follow. She hurried with a surprising grace for one who looked so human, and her feet made hardly a noise as she faced forward, pushing back fears and tears that wanted to pour out of her. Mithras would do that only if it was to late, only if…No they couldn’t be, she shrugged off the idea and glanced back hoping to see Adrian and Radian following.

Aedreath looked to Pip and nodded again, in understanding. He landed down on the soft damp dirt of the cave and slowly took his wings inward. He stood near the entrance, but to the left of it, trying to calm himself down. He looked to Pip with his emerald eyes and then looked back outside. Where do you hail from, he asked softly.

Elijah smiled at the knowledge of her information, but also saddened about the news of this race. She followed her down the long flight of stairs, she had taken out her staff as it clicked on the floor along with her footsteps. She still needed it to walk sometimes as pain still shot up her right leg from time to time. She wished not to remember what had truly happened to it long ago. She looked back to Cerast and smiled as she asked her what she would like, "Anything would be fine..." She said politely.

She stood up, thankfully, she did not run away quite so quickly as most people had if they had seen them in their true form.
Lee translated again, "She wants to know his name," He said, signaling to Radian. Radian looked to her politely and smiled again as Lee continued, "She wants us...to follow her..somewhere..." He said with confusion as Adrian looked back to her, she had already begun to depart.
"Let's follow her then, I want to know why she is here, and how she became here." Adrian replied as he looked to Radian to say that he wanted him to follow him, then he looked to Lee and said, "Tell the others to wait behind, allow only one brother to stay with us, but tell him to stay ten yards behind us." Lee nodded as Adrian and Radian began to follow Mithras.
"Radian...my name is Radian..." Radian said quietly, hoping she could here him. Adrian looked to his brother and smiled as he looked back to Mithras to let her know that they would follow. By the meaning of "others" he had meant his other brethren in the camp, there had been at least ten other wolves that were scouting out the area around them, all knowing of what had happened with this Mithras. But Adrian had ordered them to stay behind, except one. He knew who Lee would choose to follow them, only the most responsible brother, Silen. He was greater favored of Adrian and Radian, he was one of their friends and also one of their closest brethren.

Pip laughed very slightly, That is unknown. I meet Cerast when I was but a hatchling and neither of us remembers there being other dragons around. She was but a peasant at the time and so never had dreamed of becoming a dragon rider or even more then that. Both of us come from odd beginnings if you think about it. She paused and closed her large green eyes and then sighed, You?

Cerast nodded and the dwarf handed her two plates of what looked like some kind of fowl along with a small tomato on each plate a some sort of fruit. Cerast smiled and took the plates, handing one to Elijah and then moving toward a small table that the dwarves seemed to be staying away from, sitting down Cerast forked at her food lightly as she thought.

Mithras nodded very slightly when she her Radian spoke his name and continued to moved silently through the trees till finally they began to thin then she slowed. Her hazel eyes scanning the brush in front of them she crouched down and then army crawled into the brush.

Slowly she peaked her head out of the bushes and then with new speed shot out of the brush. Before them was a large plot of land, small huts dotted it as well as a few farms. Most of the buildings where on fire or wrecked, Mithras’ eyes brimmed with small tears as she called out, desperately, “Mum! Brthi!”

Then out of the shadow of one of the huts a gruff voice spoke, “Another one?” another voice, higher pitched spoke, “Must be the one that ran off. Foolish girl.” Then the two voices joined in laughter.

Two large figures stepped out of the shadows and toward Mithras. Mithras’ mouth fell open and she shook her head back and forth, stepping backward. “She must be the daughter of the leader. Look at that hair…Only one of the prisoners had the color of hair and it was their leader. Duke will give us good money if we capture her…And look she’s got friends.” The large of the two men spoke, his gruff voice sounded amused as he took another step toward Mithras, Adrian, and Radian.

Aedreath looked to Pip again as he too leaned back and closed his eyes as he answered her, I come from the western lands, where the Sin line originated. Elijah met me only about two years later, when I was still young. Her family had abandoned her, they were gone, and she had to embrace her destiny, they were all dragon riders, and Elijah was next in line to assume the position.

Elijah took the plate as she looked at the food with interest, she had never seen dwarven food like this, she smiled again to herself as she followed Cerast to the table and picked up a part of the tomato with her fingers and popped it into her mouth. It tasted different from most she had ever tasted, a little bit more of flavor was added to these foods, she smiled as she chewed on it. She swallowed it as she turned to Cerast and asked, "I don't mean to pry, but how did you become of Pip? I remember my own meeting with Aedreath was very strange, I've always wanted to hear the story of another."

Adrian and Radian looked ahead in horror, it was a village, some of the huts completely destroyed. The village looked invaded, and plundered, Adrian hated to think of what had happened to it. They heard voices, suddenly two men were standing in front of Mithras and looking at all of them. Their voices sounded enlightened and pleasured at the thought of capturing them. Adrian's mind boiled with anger, the thought of such an idea to these men, they were so rash...so harsh.
Suddenly a howl was heard in the background, Adrian and Radian understood as both of them looked back towards the forest. It was Silen, he was signaling the others to come quickly. Adrian signaled Radian to fall back into the shadows of the forest for only a moment, hoping not to fear Mithras with the thought of abandoning her.
About five minutes later, two wolves jumped out of the brush in front of the Mithras and in between her and the two men. Radian's black fur bristled as he growled, his huge body figure of about as big as a male lion, as well as Adrian, gave him the power to intimidate many. Adrian snarled at them as well as suddenly, Lee, in wolf form jumped out from the brush to the right of them and took to the side of these two men. Two more wolves, including Silen jumped out of the brush to the left of them, the rest of their pack was still in the forest, waiting if any action took place just in case.
Adrian's piercing green eyes waited for their reaction as he heard the others growl threateningly. He hoped that the pack wouldn't scare of Mithras, he hoped she would see they were trying to protect her.

Pip moved into a more comfortable possession, Fate? Fate is what we decide it to be in my ideals…But I suppose everyone knows things differently.

“I don’t really remember…I was extremely young and so was she. Both of us came from low beginnings, or at least I did…She could be of a great line but we don’t know because she was the only dragon in the area…But when I first touched her…I could hear her thoughts! It was so strange, having someone else in my mind; because she could hear my thoughts as well. It was all so new…I hid her from the people around me till I was ten…She by that time was about a third of her current size but still pretty big and not easy to hide in a big, crowded city…At that point was the first time I rode her…I was frightened and so was Pip. We both fled in fear of our lives…I haven’t been back there sense.” Cerast paused and shrugged. “That is when our journey began, what got us here as well.”

Mithra wanted to flee, to use her ability to get away but instead she caught the eyes of a wolf with green eyes, she raised and eyebrow then in one movement she had pulled her body into the air and kicked the smaller of the two men straight in the stomach, he keeled over groaning in pain as Mithras moved onto him; tears of rage streaming down her cheeks.

Aedreath looked to her as she answered and replied, in some ways, I agree, but in others I do not. Some things But do not only happen by coincidence, he looked at her again and continued. But you are correct, there are others who believe differently, he rested his head on the cold stone and closed his eyes. Such as Elijah, who believes fate is too harsh on her to be destiny, but she can neither see what destiny has done for her. She is a good person, sometimes she fails to see that herself... He sighed again, now, enough of my talk, it is not proper for a dragon such as myself to talk so inadequately about his rider.
Not to pry, but what brings you to this land? Very little you see dragons and riders anymore, and never two at a time.

Elijah smiled at Cerast's story, it was sad, but also exciting to her, had she been much different? She looked at her food as she remembered what had happened to her as well, so long ago. She blinked as she looked up and shook her head to pay attention, she had always hated her instinct of getting distracted some times.

Adrian stepped back at the girl's strength as she charged at the men, he wanted to stop her, stop her from getting hurt or something. But he couldn't, he just watched her, this isn't normal he said to himself a matter-of-factly. He looked to Radian and their other brethren as suddenly a scent caught his nostril. He turned away only for a moment to look around and study the area. There was blood near. He looked to the men, to see if they were bleeding, but he couldn't see any red. He looked back to Mithras again, and remembered the way she had looked at him, as if she didn't want his help, she sure didn't need it, he figured, but who was she?
Adrian looked around again, was she going to kill them? He guessed they deserved it-but killing in the sight of revenge? He and the wolves should've known best about that, but they knew also that it was not right. He lunged forward and jumped in between the men and girl rushing at him. He suddenly changed back to human, (psh-don't worry, he has clothes on...^^) and, as nearly a foot taller than her, he held out his arms and stopped her harshly by the shoulders. He stared at her hard, thinking that she would try to struggle at any moment. He looked into her eyes and didn't blink, he knew she would understand something that his eyes gave to hers. He stood firm as he heard the men groaning behind him. He saw Radian looking at him strangely out of the corner of his eye.
He only spoke once to her from then, in a hard but understanding voice, "Those that seek revenge, shall never survive, they thrust their burdens upon themselves and others."
He looked around from the corner of his eyes again as he saw his brothers surrounding the men once more, growling, one man whimpered as the other one groaned. She must've hit him pretty hard.

Pip stretched out across the stone, Everyone has their own ideas, a I said. This land? We live in this land, or this general area. But wether or not I am to tell you why we are where we are in this land is up to my rider... She trailed off, not saying more. I shall sleep, feel free to do as you please, but do your best to keep out of the skies.

Cerast smiled slightly; she had barely touched her food but she moved as if to leave. "Feel free to stay, if you do, the dwarf women who served us will bring you to where I shall be.." she moved away without another word.

Mithras' eyes narrowed as Adrian came between her and the men, "Ish nien pian dem! Revenish benl nien. Turen..." she trailed off, her countance falling, her eyes shifting from Adrian to the men. She didn't mean to take revenge, she knew what these men where though, and they where not human. Nor, of corse, were the wolves before her; that was beyond evidant.
She turned away from Adrian, "He'ast! Ver, ver..." if they cose to block her way then she would set out to find her people.

Aedreath watched Pip as she began to drift off. He lowered his eyes as he turned around and looked out of the cave...the other dragon was right, it was unsafe for the skies...Elijah...he thought....

Elijah smiled and nodded a she watched Cerast leave the table. She looked back down at her food as she picked at it slowly. She wanted to eat...she had to eat...she hadn't eaten for four days. She sighed as she looked around. She saw some of the dwarves staring at her caustiously. She removed her gaze from them as she looked ahead distantly for a moment. We can't stay here...for long...no matter the cause...Aedreath and I both are in danger...everyone's in danger...she sighed again as she looked down at her food. Not here...she thought again, I don't want anymore people to get hurt...these people...we have to leave...she thought again, I don't want these people to get hurt....Cerast...and....Pip....not here....we have to go soon....not here...

Adrian looked at Mithras, and sighed as he shook his head. He reached out for her and said, "Then let us help you....please...it's not safe here." He looked to the side as he remembered what she had done to the men. He glanced back at the men, who had fearfully looked at them in horror. He sighed as he looked back to her. There was more to her than meets the eye, he was sure of that. (tehe...transformers...^^) Light bounced off of his green eyes, Radian, who had also transformed to human, stepped forward. In his mind, he knew that his brother agreed with him.

Cerast moved silently through the tunnels of the dwarven area; she knew where the healing area was, and all to well. After several minutes of walking she pushed a great metal door open. Inside a few dwarven women busled around while a dwarven man jumped at the sight of Cerast.
"Cerast! You aren't hurt, are y-you?" he asked, stuting slightly.
"No...My friend...Rish?" she asked as she moved in and closed the door behind her.
The dwarven man stood and moved to her swiftly, "Come 'ere dear. He's in the back area, resting...Poor thing, with all the noise of my people he was barely getting any shut eye..." the dwarve continued on but Cerast didn't hear him, for he had opened another large metal door which lead door a small passage to a back room. "Be quick, he needs rest to gain strength." was the last thing she listened to before swiftly walking through the door and then running the last few steps into the room at the end of the hall.
A bronzen haired boy, Rish, lay in the bed before her. His chest moved up and down slowly and randomly. "He's weak." she moaned as she threw herself down onto his head. Without much thought she moved his head onto her lap and looked at his bandaged sholder. "Why...Why did you have to follow me...If you hadn't have followed me none of this would have happened in the first place." she whimpered, tears rolling down her cheeks and splashing onto his smooth and pale face. "Why...."
She didn't notice as his crimson eyes flickered open, so when a smooth and cool hand touched her face she didnt react, allowing him to move her face to his for a momentary kiss.
As he let her go she stared silently into his eyes, which narrowed after a few moments, "I told you to leave me. Our love is forbindden on so many levels...It would have been better had you left me. I will have to tell Pip to be faster then you next time."
"There won't be a next time. You are not going into battle for me any longer." she said, her own clear eyes narrowing as she held him down firmly to his bed.
He laughed slightly, but winced after only a moment, "Argh!" his breathing increased slightly but he let his cry of pain turn into a grin. "Right, and you and Pip aren't going to do the worm."
"Werido."
"Dragon rider."
"Half-demon."
"Future queen."
"Shut up..." Cerast said, she didn't like that title, not at all.
Rishs' face softened as Cerast began to drag her fingers through his hair. "You enjoy tempting me, don't you."
"All to much." she said, leaning down to kiss him again. "But please...Sleep, I shan't have the will to leave you till your asleep."
"Fine..." he said with a half hearted sigh as he closed his eyes.

Mithras gave a slight cry, she had been walking away from them but as Adrian spoke she'd paused and turned around. Her dark eyes where wide, she moved to Adrian, wrapping her arms around his neck and looking into his green eyes, willing him to understand that this was not what he thought, she tiptoed and pressed her lips against his.
As she moved away she broke off swiftly and cried at Radian, "Turn around!" her vocie was different in their tounge, more commanding and witha heavy accent, but she didn't really care.
As Radian turned around he would discovery that the two men had vanished. Mithras growled, "If they do not feel threatened they can escape! You and your brother must have been the reason they stayed...Now I shall never find my people!" her dark eyes flashed angryly, matching her hair for a moment, before angry and hot tears began to slide silently down her face as she fell to her knees, unsure what to do.

(OOC: I promise, she didn't just kiss him because I'm in the mood for kissing...I'll tell you the reason, if you'd like, later...And wow...Sorry if my lovey-dovey post makes you sick...)

(Tehe...oks ^^)

Aedreath looked out of the cave through the sky, he looked back to Pip and than back at the sky. Though they were at a long distance, he could still sense Elijah, that she was safe. He spoke to her telepathically, his voice was weak, but he knew that she would still hear it.
What is it that is sensed? There comes smoke from the sky in the distance...could this be the source?

Elijah fingered her necklace as she sighed. She stood up from the table. As she began to walk, having no idea where she was going, one of the dwarven women walked up to her. She wasn't trying to be mean, she was just distracted as she unintentially ignored her.
Aedreath, we have to leave soon. I hate to leave so soon, but...I have that...feeling. She sighed again as she looked around at the busy dwarven people. I know Cerast and Pip and even both of us sense the danger, but if we do not leave now, I fear that much worse could happen if we stay.

Aedreath narrowed his eyes as he nodded to himself, he could barely sense her voice, but he could also sense some of her feeling, it was if she was feeling despair and embarressment mixed into one. He looked to the side and thought, where do we go? We will attract the danger-will we not?

Elijah let go of her necklace as she stopped in her tracks.
Aedreath, I don't want to leave Cerast and Pip, for I know that they are good people, and fellow dragon riders, but we must if want to protect them. What is the use of a guardian who does not protect? A guardian protects the weak and the strong, the defiant and the trustworthy...I shall meet you in one hour. That is all the time we have left....

Aedreath nodded reluctantly and replied to Elijah.
Did you ever think we'd be in this situation that day?

Elijah looked ahead as she took hold of her necklace again.
No, I dreamed times would be so much better...and not this worse. Was I too ambitious to take on this role, Aedreath? You should've known what was best for me...tell me, did I make the right choice? Memories flashed in front of Elijah's eyes. A golden crown....but small...with the design of leaves in a hoop resting atop her head that day. She never wore it again. She was given her sword that day...a boy's face flashed in front of her eyes...that same boy gave her the sword...
He's now as old as I, Aedreath...not a boy anymore...and yet, I still cannot protect what is most beloved to me...

I will tell you the same thing the day that you were crowned and given a sword to protect as a Dragon Guardian. I cannot make the decisions for you, we must learn from our own mistakes, even if they are our own downfall...Aedreath sighed again as he rested his eyes...
Yes...that boy you once were so involved with is now a man...
...Elijah...
....focus...

~

Adrian flinched as Mithras walked up to him, afterwards, her commanding voice slightly startled him.
After she had spoken, Radian slightly growled as he heard the same snarl from the forest nearby from his brethren. He looked back at Radian and held out his hand for him to keep calm. He looked behind him to find the men gone. He turned back to her, her behavior was very strange to them.
He stepped forward and sighed as he closed his eyes and opened them again as he knelt down beside her.
"Mithras." He said quietly as he continued, "Your people wouldn't have stayed here if they were here. Did those two men destroy the whole village? Surely not. If they have escaped, my brothers are tracking them at this moment...." He sighed as he raised his hand and wiped a tear off of her face as he said, "I promise that we will help to find your people...but you must first tell us what has happened to them...and who is doing this..."

Cerast sat for several minuets in the peacful silence, dragging her hand through Rish's hair till his breathing became even and it was obvious he was asleep. She dared not to move to speedily so with grace and carefulness she slipped out from under Rish, placing his head lightly upon the pillows.

She stared at him as long as her thoughts would allow, she could feel the presence of her winged friend nagging at her thoughts, and tosseled his hair before turning and quietly exiting the room. She walked calmly down the hall and told the doctor that Rish was fine, resting, and then she hurried out of the medical area. With a surprising swiftness, despite her tiredness she ran through the mostly vacant halls of the dwarvin caverns, night was come so many of them where gone to bed or atleast in their homes.

Her feet moved almost as if they belonged to someone else, egged on by the thoughts pooring into her head, she wasn't even sure where from, they where not her dragons thoughts, nor where they the thoughts of Aedreath. She stumbled, shakin her head and attempting to clear her mind, she was unsuccesful, for after a moment she stood up and began to run again. Suddenly, as she broke free of the caverns Pips' thoughts burst into her mind, melting the others into the background.

Cerast! Ca you hear me!?

Pip! Yes, I can hear you. What's the matter?

You had me worried, I've been trying to get to you for the past several minutes, and you have never built up walls that strong to me. What's going on? Aedreath seems restless...

Cerast shuddered, her thoughts lurking on the voice she'd heard. Something fowel has entered the caverns, something that is not dwarven nor dragon...The signature thoughts know I'm there...They knew my name Pip...

This is bad...Unexpectedly bad. Stay where you are, I shall come for you.
But...Rish, Elijah, we cannot leave them or the dwarfs...They have helped us.

We leave them for their safety and your own my dear, worry not, we shall return for them when time allows.

Pip had put up a wall, Cerasts' pleads did not hit her dragon. Her eyes widdened, the emptiness that had been filled by Pip was now letting the other thoughts seep in. Fear corsed through Cerasts' very being as she waited for her dragon.

Pip, who had stirred slightly for the past little bit, opened her eyes and stood swiftly, "Pardon me my friend...I must break my own warning...But I must go." she said, not bothering to reopen her link to her thoughts of speach, meerly saying the words alloud. She moved with as much grace a creature built for the sky can as she reached the entrance and then opened her wings, taking off into the rapidly darkening sky.

Mithras' shoulders fell, her eyes still full of tears, she turned toward Adrian, "I'm sorry...I just can't think strait..." she took in a deep breath and then pushed herself to her feet, ignoring the angry tears still rolling silently down her cheeks she took a deep breath and as calmly as she could she spoke. "My people cannot defend themselves...There is only one or two protectors among my peoples...We where the color of red upon our head." she yanked slightly at her own hair. "But I am a coward...And not fully trained to protect I left my people and the old protector because my mother commanded me run...Now I feel a coward...Even if I find my people I shall only stay with them till a new protector is born..."

(michey-face! ^.^)

Elijah! It seems as if the other dragon senses it as well,we must not falter Elijah, it has already begun. Aedreath thought to Elijah as he watched Pip soar off gracefully into the sky, she truly was a remarkable dragon. He too took flight behind Pip, he followed his rider, Elijah, and he would protect her at all costs, for she was protecting them all...or at least she tried to...

Elijah grunted as she grabbed her staff and hit it against the floor, some dwarves around her jumped as they all looked to her as if she was insane. White lace seemed to spring up out of the ground around her staff as she began running, she could also sense the danger.
Aedreath, we will do the best we can-it seems that Cerast and Pip too, can sense the danger, they are more perceptive than I thought. Her armor clinked against each other as she was running, she was running for Cerast.
Aedreath, I need you hear as soon as possible, understand?
Elijah somehow fought her way throughout the hallways and desperately tried to grasp the situation. She finally saw Cerast in her view.
She knew this would seem very odd, and maybe even a little strange (^.^) to Cerast, but she had to do it, she was a Guardian. She stopped when she had reached Cerast's side and knocked her staff roughly against the floor again, a thin white shield shaped as a sphere circled around Cerast for a minute, but then slowly disappeared, but Elijah knew the shield would be there if Cerast entered danger. She fingered the sword she hardly used, whenever she was without her danger, which was rare of course. Then...she heard him. It was the roar of her best friend and dragon, Aedreath.
She turned to Cerast quickly and knelt on one knee while leaning on her staff, she was still doing that silly chant that she was taught to say-she rolled her eyes at herself, she must look ridiculous.
"Forgive me for not introducing myself properly, for I fear our time is short even now. My name is Elijah Rose, I am a Dragon Guardian of the Ninth Legion (J-whatever that would be... ^.^) of the Kingdom of my fathers, I serve and protect Dragons and their riders, although since my oath has been taken, the world has become a stronger place and less need for the Guardians, but I am here, if it is willing..."
She looked up to Cerast and stood back up, she would protect her at all costs, including Pip. Not that they needed protecting, she thought to herself with a smirk. But she had recalled that there had been someone else with Cerast, and not just her dragon...she could see it in her eyes...

Adrian stepped towards her and wanted to help her, to comfort her, but he didn't know what to do, they hadn't made human contact in so long. He sighed as he knew he would be harrassed later by his brothers for his soft nature, but he didn't care, this is worth it...he thought to himself.
"First things first..." He began and continued, ", we have to find your people, and if we can save them, we can settle things from there."

Radian suddenly lifted his head, a bitter scent was cast into the air, nearly all of his brothers shuddered. Then, they heard it, the roar of a dragon. Adrian looked to the sky, he knew a dragon would only scream like that if it didn't care whether its position was known or not...something was happening, he turned his head back to Mithras, and it all seemed to be revolving around themselves...

(tehe-sorry I'm so straight-forwards! I felt like being forward-y ^.^)

Pips' head did not move, her eyes where set straight, and though she knew Aedreath followed she also thought she knew why. In a matter of moments, or so it seemed to Pip, she had spotted Cerast and Elijah, whom she had not expected to see, but was not entirely surprised. She did not roar, as Aedreath did, she would keep that roar for a better thing. As she landed she scowled slightly, opening the connection between Cerast and she.

All at once Cerasts' blocked thoguhts came flooding into Pips' mind. She shuddered, she should not have blocked her. Had they been alone she would have comforted her rider more then just the warming thoughts that she sent now, but they where not alone so she meerly lowered her body to the ground, waiting for Cerast to mount.

Cerast jumped at Elijahs' approach, the overwelming evil consiousness that was there had taken her own consiousness away for that short period of time. She was glad, although the slightly glow that encompassed her for a few moments startled her, she did not draw back. She was startled at the sort of bowin guester that Elijah offered, had Elijah not been talking all at once and then standing, she would have helped her up. All of her thoughts vanished for a split second as a large and encompassing roar ecohed into the night, she glaced toward the sky and as the bond between she and Pip reopened she let her past thoughts rush at her friend.

After a few moments she glanced from Pip; now kneeling for Cerast to mount, Aedreath, and Elijah. She didn't have the will to speak, not right now, so she let her thoughts out to each of them, hoping they would hear.
I will not leave without Rish. she turned suddenly, back into the caverns and ran, this time of her own will, back toward the dwarven hospital, just barely managing to escape Pips' movement to stop her. She heard her friends angry snarl as it bounced off the cavern walls.

When she reached the hospital she entered at a fast walk, happy to see only the nurses, "I've got to take Rish." They did not protest as her doctor friend would ahve, they knew slighly of the danger that loomed and they wanted Cerast, Pip, Elijah, Aedreath, and Rish gone as soon as possible.
Cerast stumbled through the last, small, hall and quickly moved to Rishs' side.

Unwillingly she shook him, "Rish." she whispered gently, and lovingly, into his ear.

His crimson eyes snapped open, his movement was swift and unnoticed by Cerast, he had swiftly scooped her up and had his arms in a protective cage around her, as he was unaware of the sheild Elijah had cast. His eyes flashed around the room, something unfriendly was there.

Mithras seemed to stiffen at the roar of the dragon, "I must find that dragon. It is near the evil that I felt when my people whre attacked..." she looked to Adrian and Radian. "Wether you come or not is up to you..." as she spoke she had made, what seemed to be, a simple hand gesture and her long red hair seemed to be covering her body.

Her face seemed to elongate, and her pupils became more slit like. After a moment a doe stood before them, and without speaking or making a noise the creature dashed away toward the roar of the dragon.

Aedreath landed nearby Pip and Elijah as he watched the woman, Cerast, run back in quickly, he surprisingly too, recieved the thought from her, her willpower is strong. He thought to himself, he landed as wind blew away from his wings. He looked to Elijah, she was looking after were Cerast had run, with an intent look on her face. As soon as she turned back around, Aedreath had realized what she had done, the oath...he thought.
Aedreath, he heard in his mind quickly, I do not wish to intrude on a dragon, Pip, but she will stay with Cerast? I will understand either way, please, we must hurry Aedreath.
He nodded as his emerald eyes gleamed off what little light there was from the rain, as he turned his head towards Pip. Elijah headed for him quickly, she jumped as she took grab of his neck and flipped herself up onto the high part of his neck and slide on her feet and his wet, slick scales down back to the saddle. She stood there, staring also at Pip and where Cerast had gone.
Pip, I know it may not seem that you trust us quite certainly yet, but what are you willing to do-we will work according to that which we are needed. Both the emerald and bluish-grey eyes of both dragon and rider waited for her answer.

Elijah stared intently at Pip, what a beautiful dragon, she thought to Aedreath, who agreed with her, not many with such power as these two left out there is there? She thought to him as he also agreed again, she lifted her staff in the air as she gazed at it intently as well as purple color blast out of its tip not high, as to not give their location, although she didn't think that mattered anymore. The purple embers fell on the saddle and on her and Aedreath and disappeared, it was once again, another spell. She had been trained in the art of magic and partial healing, also in swordsmanship, every guardian had been, it had been one of the requirements to become a Dragon Guardians. She blinked as reality hit her, she fingered her sword again, as she thought, Aedreath, we must fly soon...He nodded again as he began flapping his wings, he wasn't going to leave, but only momentarily wait there as long as they needed. She would not let Cerast and Pip and this Rish become harmed, even it if kills me...she thought to herself...
She thought about Cerast's thought, only a truly skillful dragon rider and noble could have such intense aura within themselves, I will not leave without Rish...the thought played over in her mind...who is this Rish? She blinked again as she retained the main situation.

Adrian's eyes widened, she had changed into an animal, and of all things, a doe. He looked to the ground before deciding to following her, could he keep his brethren from her? More importantly, could he keep himself from her, many of them started growl hungrily. He quieted them angrily as most of them changed back into wolves, he left some of his newer brethren to scower the area for survivors, but overall he had at least eight brethren with him when they began running after the doe. They would have to be careful, their minds might change into thinking this is a hunt and....no, I won't let that happen, he thought to himself. His green eyes sparkled as he ran faster in his wolf form to catch up to her. Was she crazy to chase dragons? Anybody would be...except riders and guardians. He nearly tripped running but then continued as he pushed the thought away, but found it hard. He ran up quickly, she really was a pretty fast runner, even for a doe. He tried to run beside her, to try and get his brethren away from attacking her...this was all too strange for a wolf.

Pip was slightly overwelmed by the power behind Cerasts' thought. It had been all to long scence her friend had used such conviction in her thoughts. She swiflty let out the link, following Cerast with her mind, hoping that she would be able to keep the evil at bay. To far! she moaned inwardly, her friend was now out of her reach. She moved restlessly, and then suddenly looked over at Eliah and Aedreath. I am willing to do anything for the protection of my friend. Her houghts was clear, increased by the sudden increase of will from her rider. Her head swung back toward the cavern opening as Rishs' familar, and somewhat demonic, sent filled her nostrals.

His face was extremly pale, and you could tell that his shoulder wound had begun to bleed once more, his bronze hair was tossled nicely after his speedy run from the hospital to where he was now. His blood red eyes moved from Pip to Aedreath to Elijah. His eyes narrowed slightly, he didn't know the second two after all, but swiflty he moved forward. He held Cerast in a sort of protective cage/cradle. "Pip!" Pips' eyes where intent upon him and her rider.

"What's going on?" he said after she must have spoken to him. Cerast shook her head, he looked down at her and their eyes meet, he must have understood something that was silently spoken for he swiflty moved forward and climbed into Pips' saddle.

As he climbed up he released Cerast and she swiflty took her place aat the head of the saddle. "Elija, Rish, Rish Elijah." she said, slightly breathless. "We have to hurry, whatever is in the caverns knows we are leaving."

"Not to mention, there is something moving toward us..." Rish said, his crimson eyes focused on something in the distance that humans eyes could not see, but as he spoke Pip looked around and saw what he must have seen.

hey will cause us no harm...It is the caverns we must get away from. came her thought as she spread her wings she looked to Aedreath, Ready? As she spread her wings she let out a tremendous roar, quieter then Aedreaths', but still; the roar of a dragon.

Mithras looked at Adrian as he ran along side her, she seemed to smile but her doe-like face betrayed nothing. Another roar ecohed into the sky, her large ears flickered back and a crystal clear thought came from her, The dragons are going to take flight, we must hurry...They may be our only way... she trailed off at this point, not finishing her thought as something red gleamed under the moon, whcih peeked from the clouds.
