Rylenn smirked and in one fluid movement, picked Rui up and tossed him over his shoulder. He shifted the boy's weight before padding towards the school. He whistled happily as if he had found a sack full of wonders. He patted the boy's butt gently as if to say he was all right.
"How are you doing back there?" He smirked as he stepped into the dorm building. He shivered as the air conditioning blew at him. "Jeeze...." He moved a little faster, running for the warmth of his room. He slipped in and closed the door. He set the boy downa among his bedding and smiled. "Be right back, Rui.." He grabbed some clothes and slipped into the bathroom.
Inside his room wasn't much, but then again Rylenn never had much. His cooking area was pristine while the rest of his room, including his bed was disheveled. Nothing stank and it wasn't horrible.. just.. disheveled. Almost like Rylenn himself. He had quite a few 'fantasy' novels and quite a few notebooks filled with what looked like extremely messy handwriting. From under the bed poked his camo bag as well as what looked like an older guitar. On the nightstand was his jewelry box which held a variety of things including a few other collars.

RuiZhi didn't even have the breath to utter a squeak as he was hefted over Rylenn's shoulder like a jacket. He gripped the taller boy around his sides, unable to say anything as he fully saw the other's back. The butt pat was rewarded with a short laugh and a startled, "Rylenn!" before he simply held onto the other, allowing his small humiliation to be shadowed by his friend's enthusiasm.
Before he knew it, he saw the familiar tile of the school, leading into what he could only assume was Rylenn's room before he was carefully placed on a bed. RuiZhi blinked at Rylenn in frank amazement before he took off to get dressed, leaving the small boy to fully take in his surroundings.
The first thing RuiZhi noticed was how relatively well kept the room was. His living space was comfortable, and his eating space was sanitary. The boy's inquisitive brown gaze swept over everything, taking it in, and remembering it. His eyes rested on the closest fantasy book, mindful of the journals that were strewn about. Sure, he was curious, but he preferred to learn from a person rather than their posessions. He carefully picked up the fantasy novel, casting a glance towards the bathroom. The image of Rylenn's back swam in his eyes, making his throat constrict with the tears that the other boy hadn't been able to shed.
Uttering a quiet huff and giving himself a firm shake, RuiZhi turned his attention to the book. His written English was better than his spoken, so he understood what he was looking at well enough.

Rylenn appeared and laughed. He laid on the bed and snuggled against RuiZhi. "Hallo there.. what did you find? Ah... Tolkien.. one of the greatest fantasy writers ever, but sadly.. he bores me out of my skull sometimes..." He snuggled against RuiZhi and lidded his eyes. He had changed into a tight shirt and silken pants both of black.
"What's on your mind, RuiZhi? "

The boy stared at Rylenn as he walked out in his new garb, snapping out if it once Ry laid down. RuiZhi coughed a little, looking at the book in his hands as the other talked about it. The first few pages had, in fact, been quite unremarkable, but that was only because the man who wrote it - Tolkien - seemed to be a tad bit too verbose for his own good. He stared at it anyway, trying not to think of how close Rylenn was, feeling his warmth through the robes the boy wore, on top of the fact they were on his--
"I-I'm wondering h-how someone can spend s-so much time describing a b-blade of grass," he stammered out, kicking himself mentally. "Lost in the d-details." Oh, good recovery, RuiZhi.

He smiled. "Well.. as I said.. he bored me quite a lot.. but the story is remarkable.. if you have the attention span.. there are four of those in all... you've picked up the third one..." He blinked and grinned. "Am I making you uncomfortable, Rui?"

RuiZhi blinked and put the book down, looking at the man snuggled against him. "N-no," he said, and there was truth to it. "At the fountain, maybe, but not now. I'm k-kinda used to it." He smiled, feeling some of the tension leave his shoulders. "Are you comfortable?"

Rylenn smiled and nodded. "You'll find.. I'm a bit of an attention whore. I love it.. adore it.." His smile lost some luster. "My father didn't pay all that much attention to me.. and when he did.. it wasn't good.." He leaned down and snuggled into RuiZhi's body. "That is what the scars on my back are from."

RuiZhi pulled up one of his sleeves, lowering his hand to Rylenn's hair. His fingers curled through the reddish brown strands delicately, brushing through it softly. "I'm sorry," he said, not knowing what to say for the third or fourth time that day. "That's awful. But...at least you're here now." He could do this. He knew why Rylenn was so close, now, and it was easier to respond to him. Maybe he could be of some help to his friend after all.

Rylenn growled his pleasure as he snuggled ever closer. "Yes... I keep telling myself that.... would.. you like to hear my past, RuiZhi? Maybe you'd understand my mannerisms far better..."
He pulled up some and slid off his shirt. He turned to show the other the full extent of his back. Most of them looked old and sunken in as if they were years old, others looked almost pink. As if they were new. He pushed his pants down just slightly to show that they extended downwards even further.
He then laid down over Rui's stomach to look up at him.

RuiZhi had to keep reminding himself that Rylenn wanted attention, although it was hard to think of anything with a half naked man snuggled against him. He carefully dropped his hand behind Rylenn's head, trailing his fingers over the other's back once again, this time pointedly touching a newer looking scar. RuiZhi turned his eyes to Rylenn's face, quirking a brow in askance.
"I would like to know, yes. I would like to...understand." He didn't think he could understand why any family would do this to their child, but he thought it might help Rylenn to get it out..

Rylenn began talking.. talking about his past and talking of his father and his mother. He looked towards RuiZhi and smiled. He slid up and flopped more over the other so he could look at him. "My father.. loved to leave welts.. cut my skin open. I was my mother's son to him. Always had been."

RuiZhi reached out and touched Rylenn's face, amazed that he could still smile after recalling such a horrific past. He, himself, was very unremarkable in how he grew up. That the young man in front of him had suffered that and still found a reason to smile... "You are very strong, Rylenn," he said honestly, if not in awe. "I can't even start to imagine what you went through, but I am very glad you are here now."

Rylenn smiled and snuggled against RuiZhi and lidded his eyes. "When I have people like you and Dante and Lorioth... how can I not?"
And there he laid for a good bit, just listening to the other's heartbeat for no other reason than to hear it.

RuiZhi was content to let his friend lay, alternating between stroking his back and playing with his hair. The boy was finding it quite enjoyable, actually, and could see why Rylenn craved the attention.
While Rylenn rested, RuiZhi turned his mind over Dante and Lorioth. So, Rylenn had met them, too? He didn't have an opinion of Lorioth yet, as Javelin had made sure to keep the poor Doctor on his toes. But Dante...he wasn't sure about him, yet. There wasn't something hidden, something quiet inside the brilliant Professor that left RuiZhi bewildered. He definitely wanted to talk to him more. Thinking about the teachers and the introduction period made him drowsy; he was starting to doze off and didn't even realize it.
Not long after they'd been resting peacefully, RuiZhi's stomach let out a low pitched grumble, causing the boy to turn almost as red as Rylenn's hair.

Rylenn laughed softly. He peered at Rui's stomach and poked it. "Are you hungry, stomach?" He slid up and smiled gently at Rui. "Sleep until dinner's done, all right?" He tucked the other into his bed after taking off his hat and glasses. He winked and slipped away to the kitchen to start cooking. He turned on some soft opera and got to work cooking.
