"Oh yea, he is real cool. But him and Papa fight a lot cause sometimes Bae does stupid stuff" he said, laughing. "Ferrets are cool too!" he said, not wanting to hurt the filly's feelings. Of course...he had no idea what a Ferret was.
Kindle's name was called.
Guess the fun was over for now.
"Aww....bye Kindle. See you soon!" he said, genuinly hoping that he could indeed see her again, hopefully soon. But anytime would be fine.

Days had turned into weeks, and Kindle, once again, found herself bored. She had grown so much physically, over the weeks, but at heart she was still the fun-loving foal in search of adventure. Every time she looked towards an open field, she had hoped to see a familiar brown and yellow colt, and secretly perhaps a glimpse at a fabled lion companion. But no luck. It was always just another boring 'ol field with nothing but boring 'ol creatures in it.
Letting out a soft snort, she paused in her walk to stare down at her hooves. They had grown as she had, and their fire had never burned any brighter or larger than it did now. She still enjoyed playing with it, but took her responsibilities closer to heart... especially after a few mishaps and many motherly lectures.
Leaning one hoof to the side, she allowed her blaze to devour a few blades of grass, before stomping it out and inhaling the smoke that came from the burning. It was exhilirating, the smell of smoke, for some reason to her. Her sisters called her weird, and she supposed that on some level she was, but it didn't matter to her. She was who she was, and that was never going to change.

Kiefer was bigger now, and more mature. He no longer felt confused, or embarassed about his actions. No, he was over that. Everything he did now...he refused to regret. He would agknowlage his mess-ups, but when things were over, they were over.
He found himself wandering back to the large feild where he had met the filly with the fire hooves. He always wondered if he would really see her again, meeting up with childhood friends was never easy, and often it just didn't happen. But he knew this feild was near her home, maybe she still lived there.
The stallion was no longer a colt...and he just didn't know what to do with himself. For so long he had felt like he wanted to be bigger and strong, so he would be free from parental control and being looked down upon...but now that he had acheive this, what was he supost to do? Really, there were no immediate affects. He felt the same, but he also felt different, on the inside, and outside.
But SHOULD he really be different? He was the same old Kiefer, right? Just not the clumbsy little foal that couldn't break into a run without falling on his face...but the strong stallion who, despite how much he deined it, was just as confused as ever.

Glancing up and away from the mini-smoke cloud she had created from the grass, Kindle noticed a brownish yellow figure standing out in the field up ahead. The colors greatly clashed against the spring's beautiful greenery, so it was obvious that someone was out there.
Taking a few steps forward, she peered closer, trying to get a better look. She wasn't afraid of anything, anymore, especially not when she had her own personal weapon to protect herself with. But it was always good to be cautious, no matter what, as she was constantly reminded by her mother. Having a tendancy to run into situations head-on, it wasn't long before Kindle gave up on the cautious approach, and began walking towards the figure, wondering if she knew them, since the colors looked so vaguely familiar.

Something caught Kiefer's bright green eyes off to his left. Something flickering. Like fire. He turned, to see another soquili moving torwards him. Her hooves were ablaze, and her body was black with redish orange markings. Could it be? Was there anyone else? She had hooves ablaze...it must be...
"Kindle?" he said, not loud but certainly audable to her, in a questionative tone. If it wasn't Kindle, it had to be one related to her, at least. But what were the odds of him meeting another soquili with hooves on fire with similar markings in the same spot as they had met before and have it NOT be Kindle?
Very, Very low.

She heard her name called, and her ears perked up. The brownish-yellow figure had called her name. Did she know it?
Peering closer, to her delight she discovered a very familiar looking colt---no, stallion. He was no longer the small bundle of energy she had once scampered around with. No, now he was a massive bundle of what she hoped remained to be energy she would have the opportunity to scamper and roughhouse with.
"Keifer!" She nearly screeched, estatic to see him once again. Her hooves took over, and she found herself barrelling down in the direction of her friend, ready for a good, friendly pounce.
Just wait until he saw how far she could jump now!

Kiefer smiled, happy to see the other recognized him. Better yet, she was thrilled to see him. It seemed that this meeting wouldn't be as akward as others had been.
"Kindle!" he said happily as she ran up to him. Faster...faster...shouldn't she start to slow down? "How are y- ouuuuwwwh!" he said, being cut off just as she pounced him. He wasn't the little clumbsy colt, he could stand his ground.
"Well, you are a much better jumper now!" he said, laughing and tryign to reorganize himself from the pounce. His eyes lingered down to her hooves, they burnt stronger then ever, and he was still facinated to see them again. His eyes darted back up to meet hers.
"Anyway. How have you been...it has been far too long" he said, glad to have met up again with his childhood friend.

((omfg, I didn't realize it'd been this long @____@;; I'm so sorry Pandy ;_; ))
She gave him a friendly nuzzle before pulling back and raising her head proudly, her burn-colored hair falling down across her eyes from her run.
"It has been forever, Keifer!" she agreed, stomping one foot on the ground to send sparks flying, secretly hoping he'd see how her flames had grown as well. She was very proud of her flames... the fire made Kindle.. well, Kindle! "I'm doing fine... had to practice my jumping for a while though, to make sure I'd be up for it the next time we met!"
Smiling, she tossed her head back, sending the strands of hair behind her ear. "You definitely don't seem to be as scrawny as you were as a foal," she teased, beginning to trot around him for an inspection. "Why... I almost didn't recognize you at first! What have you been up to?!"

He nuzzled her back, happy to be reunited with such a good childhood friend. It wasn't often something like this happened, and when it did, it was always tons of fun.
"Yes, it has been far, far too long" he said, eyes trailing down to her hooves. He knew she would probubly like a compliment on them, because if she was anything like her filly slef, she was very proud of them. "I see your hoof fire has developed very well! Look at that, no random fireballs anymore, eh?" he asked with a smile.
He laughed. "Really? Well I havn't jumped in quite some time, but I am sure I can still beat you" he said jokingly, and looked her over "I wish I could say the same about you, but you are every bit as scrawny as you used to be!" he said with another laugh.
"So Kindle" he said, his voice a bit more serious now "How have you been? In such a long time, I barely even remeber it all" he said, looking around the area that he had once felt so at home at. Now it just seemed foreign, and unfarmiliar.
