ivrefantome THRILL SEEKER scream people don't pay enough attention to Grindcore/Death Metal. Skinless's cover of "Wicked World" is amazing. What album is that on? I like Dimmu Borgir's cover of Burn in Hell also. I like Aborted's cover of Carnal Forge (Carcass) as well. YAY! someone else who gives Aborted the attention they deserve. and yes, it's an excellent cover-- the band actually started out trying to rip off of Carcass's style, with the whole gore-obsessed surgical procedures. the Skinless cover is on the album "Trample the Weak, Hurdle the Dead". it's hard to find, but seriously, one of the best Grind/Death Metal albums you can get!

I was listening to Heartwork today and I noticed that their guitar styles are really similar. I like Aborted's singing (what would you call that..?) style better though. That's the new Skinless album, right? I have all of them but that. I like Foreshadowing Our Demise best. But I haven't heard the new one so it could be better.

Aborted's style of music is similar to their style of screaming, i guess. simply Goregrind/Death Metal. 3nodding yeah, this is Skinless's most recent release. they have a new vocalist now, too. i have one friend who misses the old guy's vocals, but the vocal work on the new album's first track, "Overlord", is seriously some of the most apocalyptic s**t i've heard in a long, long time. biggrin

My personal faves right now are Arch Enemy's Aces High cover and Annihilator's cover of Hell Bent for Leather by Judas Priest. I also like Megadeth's cover of Paranoid.
