On the contrary, even that is with God's help. When you see something you like and you are tempted to steal, you desire that item. You desire that you have it and you desire to steal it. However, if you refuse it, it is not because of you simply because you do want it, and if there were no opposing force known as our conscience, you would steal it. However, you do have conscience and that itself is a gift from God. While in sin or spiritual death, you can still get from God what is called an actual grace. It is God's hints and nudges on what is wrong and what is right: a natural law implanted in us but not coming from us.

That does not deserve to go to me, but to C.S. Lewis. That point was brought up in his book Mere Christianity.

LRD_nick British_Crumpet LRD_nick With out the devils and satan, were would beliefe in god be? Satan puts paths that dont belong to try and stir us away from God,but the truth is,it makes us stronger people! So today think about it,and say,Satan whats next? Show me,so I can shut you down and show my lord that I love him,and my faith is there here for him and only my lord and savior jesus christ!! AMEN! Hun, that's Satan trying to make you believe he is good. a little thing like this, he can make it grow and spawn into something totally different to turn you away from God! DON'T GIVE INTO HIS LIES!!! RESIST!!!!!! Think about it! I am stronger than that,I know how he works! I used to be his! Till I turned and became christian! LRD_nick, that right there makes me think that youre in danger. wahmbulance You think you know how the Devil works, when you dont, to be frank. All of us know that he decieves, and he's decieving you right now because you think you know how he works. The Devil is not good in any way, but the Lord uses his evil for good.

Satan is evil. He is the enemy. There is nothing good about him. It is true that without Satan in the picture, there would have been no reason for Jesus to die for us because there would be no sin in the world. Satan plays an important part in the script of the world that God has written. But that does not mean that he has any good in him. He deserves no thanks even for existing.
If anyone should be thanked, it should be God, who is pulling the strings all along. God has written the script of this world. Though prideful Satan thinks he has control, it is God who created him in the first place, knowing in advance what would happen. Satan is merely an actor in a play written by God, who transcends time and works out His perfect plan from beginning to end.

Here's a little insight: - God allows trials. It makes us grow. (For we cannot be tempted God, nor is tempted.) - Satan makes temtation to destroy us.
Trials, for example, are... lets say exams. Its something to overcome to test your knowlage, in similarities, your faith.
Temptation is, to cheat.
Point is, Satan has no good in him. AT ALL.

Any good story needs a villian as well as a hero...not that the existentce of the universe is a story, but there has to be evil in the world in order for there to be good, otherwise we wouldn't be able to tell the difference between what's good and whats bad...I think everything would be boring.

Berezi so YOU can shut him down? I'm afraid there's something fallacious in your logic. We have no power to fight Satan on our own. yes, but with God's help, we can overcome anything

x_Hikari_x But without Satan, we would be living in Paradise. We would be in perfect communion with our Father and Creator. We would feel no pain, no suffering. There would be no need to test faith, because we would live in it ever day. Our lives would be perfect in every sense of the word, and beyond our limited human comprehension.
Of course, that is all coming, with due time ^^ It's just, if Satan hadn't decided he wanted to be like God, it would have saved us a lot of trouble. Yup, same thing I'd say. If it wasn't for Satan we wouldn't be living in sin, we wouldn't be born into sin.

Without Satan, we would be able to be in the presence of The Lord. It was because of Satan that we cannot see or be with him until after death.

God made Satan for a good reason, but that does not make Satan good. It merely makes him necessary for God's plan.

i see what your trying to say, and kinda, but then not really.
everything satan does is evil, trying to pull us away from god is certainly an evil thing to do.
its god who then turns that around, no stan, its god who caringly brings us back to him.
satan will try many things, but if your a true christian god will always draw you back home, to his safty and comfort.
