Lester shrugged, "They mean words, like what they look like, they have two names, long latin ones and short English ones, I don't completely know all the plants though, I'm still learning. . ." he said and looked at his silent fishing line, "what kinds of words do you want to learn?" he asked, "Russian or latin?" he said and shuttered at Hajari's question, "Fly? I'd rather stay on the ground. . . I'm scared of hights, its a long fall. . ." he said and gazed at the ground.

Hajari blinked a few times in thought. Russian, or Latin? "Hmm..." he hummed indecisively before shrugging, "Both? Start with plant names, though. I want to learn other names of plants!" His feet kicked lightly at the drooping fishing line in his eagerness, getting it caught around one of his talons. He tried to kick it off, but only managed to yank the rod out of his hands. He burst out with giggles, sliding the string from his toe and snatching up his rod again, sliding his feet carefully under himself to keep that from happening again.
"You're afraid of heights?" he repeated as a question, turning his head away slowly. He knew what it was like to be afraid of something, to be terrified, and a long fall was understandable. "I'll start off close to the ground, though, so I won't get hurt very much if I fall. But..." What would happen if he fell from high up? He shuddered lightly, reeling in his line to throw it out again. "Maybe I can wait..." he added with a mumble.

Lester nodded at his flishing line which stayed the same and didn't get touched by a single fish, "Plant names are hard, your to younge to learn them, since you'll forget them anyway. . . but if you want to learn them we'll start off with a few simple flowers, okey?" he asked and then suddenly saw his line wooble, making him start reeling and pulling slightly, not waiting to catch this fish, but this fish was tough and didn't want to be pulled out, as much as Lester reeled and pulled.

Hajari nodded slowly, understanding. Long names would confuse him and he knew he would forget them anyway, but he didn't like being treated as if he were 'just a kid,' even though he was. He scooted around a bit uncomfortably, nodding again when Lester offered to teach him some simple names. He smiled again, glad Lester was still going to teach him some. "Okay!" he exclaimed, bouncing a little in anticipation.
As he finished reeling in his line, getting ready to throw it out again, he noticed Lester was reeling in his own line. He looked out into the lake, watching the area where Lester's line disappeared under the surface and looked for a fish. "Did you catch one? Do you need any help?" Hajari asked, ready to grab onto Lester's pole again if he needed him to.

Lester was about to say 'okey' but he didn't even manage to open is mouth because he got thrown into the cold, dark water, only having time to squeak. Luckly Lester could swim but Marfa, his sister always loved to scare him with stories of 'evil creatures that lurk the deep waters' which made him more frightened as he kicked his arms and his hoofs in the icy water, hoping to scare these creatures off.

Hajari blinked a few times in surprise, taken unaware by the circumstance that befell his friend. He was knocked speechless for a few seconds as his mind tried to comprehend what had just happened. As soon as he got his bearings, he jumped up, throwing his pole to the ground, and ran to the bank of the lake. He was on the bridge of terror as he looked out at Lester's flailing body, afraid of the water. He would've jumped in after Lester if it wasn't for the fact that he had no knowledge on how to swim, and that he was terrified of the water. "Lester!" he called out, trying to get his attention back to getting to land. His heart raced as he paced back and forth, trying to find a way he could help.
Mikadzuki lifted his head slowly as he continued to watch the two children, slight amusement on his face before turning his concerns back to if the two could swim at all. "Can Hajari swim?" he asked, turning his head to MoogerMint as he asked, rising to his feet to come to Lester's aid.
MoogerMint turned her head from her line, confused at Mika's question until she realized that Lester was in the water. "Oh my God..." she breathed, quickly jumping to her feet and running over to the two. Gingitsune followed, surprised from her nap and bewildered in the sudden sunlight as she followed their leader.
Mikadzuki led the way, however, and once arriving to Hajari's side he lept into the fresh water, dog-paddling over to Lester's side. "Grab on," Mikadzuki directed, turning around to face land again as he waited for Lester to comply, completely unaware that the young demon could swim.
Meanwhile, on the shore, Hajari stood quivering with fright. As he was deathly afraid of large bodies of water, he was afraid Lester may be swallowed up in the currents. His hands balled up into fists at his eyes, he tried to fight back the oncoming tears that threatened to flow as he continued to call out for Lester.

Lester saw the giant dog jump into the water next to him and realised that the others thought of his 'defense against the evil creatures that lurk the deep waters' as sinking and quickly grabbed on to the dog, to act as if he was actually sinking and not defending himself from imaginary creatures, since it was stupid making everyone sorry and was best to act as if he couldn't swim. "I'm okey!" he called as he saw Hajari crying, just to calm him down since had had made so many people worry because of his stupid act instead of just scrambling out of the water, which was a smarter thing to do.

Mikadzuki began to pull Lester ashore as he felt the demon grab ahold of his back, panting slightly as he reached land. It wasn't that the current was strong, for it was rather tranquil, but Mikadzuki had been doing a lot of running earlier and his muscles were a little worn out from it. As he drug Lester and his own sopping-wet self onto the shore, he wandered off a-ways off after making sure Lester was alright and shook himself semi-dry, scattering water every-which-way.
Hajari closed his eyes tightly as they swam towards him, nodding his head to Lester's voice. However, when he closed his eyes, the tears were unhindered in their path and flowed freely down his cheeks, contrary to what Hajari had wanted. Vigorously wiping them away, not wanted to be considered a 'crybaby,' he ran out to meet Lester and Mikadzuki, unaware his eyes were still tinted pink with his worry. He didn't mind that his friend was wet as he ran to his side, running into the satyr in a hug. "I'm so glad you're okay!" he said gratefully.
MoogerMint walked up slowly, giving Lester and her son time to recover. She smiled at the scene before looking down at the female wolf at her side. Gingitsune displayed a relative sense of relief as she followed her leader, watching the two banir affectionately. As the two arrived, MoogerMint leaned over and knelt before the two boys. "You sure you're okay? You didn't catch your foot on anything while you were in there? You should check yourself over, in case you didn't feel anything, just to be sure," she inquired.
Hajari backed up from Lester, a bit embarrassed over his own reaction to the situation. He rubbed at his eye absently, even though they were now dry. He smiled a bit through it anyway, putting up a false facade until he calmed down.

Lester nodded as Hajari's mum spoke, hoping that Hajari wasn't wet himself now and checked himself before answering, "I'm okey. . . I wonder what kind of fish pulled me in though" and imagined a gigantic dinasoaur with fins for paws and shook his head and stood up and looked at the lake, were his rod was now lying and sighed slightly.

(( Sorry it took so long for me to reply; you know how life can get... >.< ))
Hajari smiled as Lester checked himself over, overjoyed when he had lifted his head again and stated that he was unhurt. He was a little damp from hugging his friend, but didn't mind one bit. As a three-year-old harpy that recently lived on his own with only his sisters around, he was always used to being dirty in one way or another. His grass-stained knees displayed this carefree attitude all too well, the wet feathers were just an added bonus.
He turned his eyes out to the lake, watching and waiting for the fish to jump up out of the water so he could see it, though it never did. Like Lester, he was curious about the size and appearance of such a fish. "A really big fish," he replied, smiling as he turned back to his friend. "Wish I could've seen it!" Although Hajari was still shaken up a bit from what had just happened, he tried to get off that track of mind by changing the subject into something happier.
MoogerMint noticed this and smirked. He's growing into a strong young boy, she thought earnestly, rubbing Gingitsune's head absently. "You boys gonna try it again?" she asked as she watched Lester turn his attentions to his rod lying ashore.
Hajari gazed at Lester solemnly, wondering if he would be okay consciously to continue. Hajari himself didn't know if he could, but would try if his new friend wanted to.
"If not," Mint offered, "we can go back to my apartment and dry you off. Of course, you'd probably have to get your mother's permission before you do that. I don't want a worried mother after me for abducting her son!" She grinned in a playful manner, but was serious of the consequences.

Lester noded to Hajari's mother, he was too wet to continue fishing and luckly he had left his mobile in his bag, instead of putting it in his pocket, "I wouldn't mind coming over to your appartment" he said, and quickly dried his hands and walked over to his bag, taking out his new mobile phone. It took him a while to remember his mothers mobile and then he dialed it. After a few moments he reached out to Hajari's mother with the phone and said, "mummy wants to speak to you", still dripping with water.

Aqua trotted into view, a long fishing rod resting on her shoulder as she skipped with a bounce in her step. Smiling broadly, she looked around, trying to see who was there. She wore her usual whiteish blue dress, it came to a few inches above her knees still, with the frilly spaghetti straps and faint opalescent designs on it.
Zuko was quietly walking behind his sister, smiling softly as he carried two more fishing poles, as well as a bucket of bait. "Aqua, not so fast, silly." He wore blackish gold board shorts, with varying gold patterns all along the fabric, and a plain white t-shirt along with it, with a black sleeveless vest over top.
Sere glowered, as usual, for having to be dragged along. "Zuko, let me go, I don't wanna go damn fishing." She said loudly, glaring at her older brother. She was wearing simple black jeans, with a dark red t-shirt with a black rose in the center. Her short sleeves exposed her long, more slender arms.

(( Do our kids know each other in this, Satin? Would this be the summer/spring after the Snow thread? ^_^; ))
Avery again appeared first, as usual, holding a fishing rod that seemed much too big for him. He saw others at the pond, and waved to them. He grinn broadly before turning around and putting a hand to his mouth.
"HEY, THERE'S PEOPLE THERE ALREADY! A WHOLE BUNCH!"
Alida just rolled her eyes, and motioned for him to keep it down. She, Ritsu, and Sybil were all holding their own rods, but Sybil's was one of the cute kid ones. Her particular one was a Hello Kitty fishing pole.
Alida was alos handling the bait bucket, though she seemed to be holding it as far away from her body as she could manage without looking stupid.
Ritsu was just trotting along obediently with the others, looking interested when Avery mentioned seeing others.

(After I guess xD
Hee hee, Avery makes me laugh rofl )
Aqua jumped as she heard a sudden shout, and turned to grin over her shoulder at Avery and the others. Beaming from ear to pointed ear, she back-trotted till she was next to the other greenhaired child. "Hiya Avery!"
Sere groaned as she saw the little troupe of kids from back in winter, rolling her eyes skyward as if begging for patience or death. "Shoot me now please." She told Zuko, wrinkling her nose and glaring at the new arrivals.
He chortled at his siblings obvious boredom, patting her on the shoulder before backing up a step to avoid a swift smack. "Afraid I can't help y'there, Sere."

(( A lot of people say that. xd I guess that's the point. 3nodding I enjoy playing him. Nothing ever gets him down for more than a moment in time. ))
Avery grinned, somehow getting even more cheerful than he'd already been when he saw Aqua. "Aqua! Hi! Are you going to catch fish, too? Have you seen the lake yet? Is it cold? Maybe we could go swimming... Hey! Can you talk to fish? That'd be cool!"
He was looking at Aqua eagerly, waiting for her answer. It was a large leap to suppose that because she was water, that she could talk to fish, but to Avery's mind, it made sense.
Alida nodded to the other two, her hands being otherwise occupied. She had had conversations with both Sere and Zuko before, but she wasn't sure from that reception whether or not the Angel would want the mute demon around. And Zuko was just intimidating enough after a long separation that she was hesitant to go and speak to him. So she smiled, a little shy, a little hopeful at both of them to gauge their reactions.
Sybil had no such compunctions however, and after handing off her rod to Ritsu, ran over to give Zuko's leg a hug, her little python tail and wings trailing behind her.
"Will you show me how to fish, Zuko? Lida doesn't like wormies, and Ritsu says he would make me worse." She asked, not even bothering to mention Avery, who was so spastic, he probably wouldn't even be fishing anymore in five minutes.
