1. Elwe (エルエ)
2. Beginner-Intermediate
3. Gaia messages or MSN messenger (Elwe.Narmo@hotmail.com), but Gaia is probably best
4. Unpredictable

I'm currently in the process of learning Kanji, I recognize a good 30 or so. I've taken two classes, and will be taking another two this summer. I enjoy talking to someone who is at a higher level because it forces me to crack open my dictionary and to learn things that are not covered in my classes. I use a combination of なかま and manythings.org/japanese to study from and am working through chapter 11 and 12 on my own before my class this summer - if that means anything to anyone.

1. Momo
2. Beginner (4 months)
3. Gaia PM
4. Usually afternoons

I'm currently studying Japanese in college, and it's always nice to get some practice in. :] I would like to chat with someone either at my level or above (so they can correct my grammar or any mistakes, although I'm a pretty good student, don't worry).

Cechi

1.Cechi
2. Intermediate-Advanced (I dunno, really. I'm bad at this kind of thing.)
3. PMs only, please. I have a Gmail if you really hate PMs.
4. I'm on whenever. I don't really have specific on-off times.

I'd really like to have some interesting and fun conversations with another person in Japanese. I need practice so I won't be lazy in my studies forever. I'm a lazy person by nature and talking to someone my level or above would kick my sorry a** into gear. xD

We can correct each other's mistakes and stuff. I'm not comfortable talking with beginners, but I'd be cool chatting with someone a bit lower than me too. I'm not like a Japanese nazi or anything - we're all students, right? Except for the native speakers, that is. xD But they're cool too!

1. Cindy. (日本語の名前: Akiko、あき子)
2. Between beginner and intermediate please.
3. Either by Gaian mail, or hotmail (gaia username), I'm ok.
4. I am usually on between 2pm to 8pm (Pacific time) on
weekdays, except for Thursday and Friday, get on later.
Almost all day on week ends.

I like talking in Japanese, helps me improve. =]
Plus I get to know others.
はじめまして!

1. Stick with Stellar for now, please.
2. Between beginner-intermediate.
3. PM for starters at least.
4. I don't go on alot unless I have a reason. PMs are a reason, so.. As for when I'm up, PST-wise that'd be late afternoon/late night.

I have trouble piecing together some simple things, but some of my knowledge is more in intermediate... However, I need a bit of a kick for practice, as most of the practice do I get is reading/listening and I need speaking too. ^^ (I often realize mistakes after I've sent something though D=)

Ame-no-Insomniac

PostPosted: Tue May 06, 2008 6:38 pm

1. XD Insomniac or Ame, please. I flip between nicknames here. o___o
2. Beginner/intermediate.
3. Gaia messages are best. I've also got AIM, though, which would be nice. PM me for my screen name. sweatdrop
4. >> I'm not horribly active on Gaia, but of course I'll be on often if I've got PMs to watch out for.

I can type in kana and a growing number of kanji, if anyone wishes me to. I have the skill to read a first grade-level book in Japanese with the help of a dictionary. XD I'm really in need of communication practice, so anyone who wants to chat, please let me know.

1. Um...just call me Dani.
2. Beginner/intermediate
3. Instant messaging would be the best (AIM, MSN, and Yahoo are good), but PM is ok.
4. Um... I'm online at random times... During the week, I'd say... 1-5 PM, Pacific time...

I can type using characters, although my knowledge of kanji is kind of limited...

1. Cire
2. I'd go up to advanced. I won't know terminology for stuff like politics, though.
3. PMs, please.
4. I'm on at random times. It shouldn't matter too much because it's by PM?

The main reason I'm doing this is because the only Japanese-speaking people I can talk to are my parents, and they're not all that interesting. I definitely need practice too before I head off to Japan over the summer. I doubt I'd get much out of a beginner conversation, but I don't mind talking to intermediate/advanced people. :]

2. Beginner. Still learning Hiragana and Katakana.
3. Prefer MSN, but Gaia is okay too.
4. Somewhere between 3-7 PM PST time

3. Your preferred means of communication AIM or Gaia PMs.
4. Hours you are usually online After 1:00 pm or so CST just about every day.
PostPosted: Wed Jul 02, 2008 12:53 pm

1. Aries
2. beginner, or a high level since I want to learn too ^__^ (I'm a beginner)
3. google talk (gmail), yahoo messenger (yahoo mail), msn messenger... any of those could work though I don't like msn that much. Gaia pms work too, but I like yahoo messenger or mail best. If you want to chat with me, please message me in gaia first, or I'll get confused. xD
4. I live in the US...and I get on everyday... for about the whole day o_o

Call me Karii. heart

Intermediate/Advanced,
I'd prefer colloquial conversation.
No need for formality if we're friends, right? xD

MSN/Windows Live Messenger.
I'm not really on Gaia that much.

I'm usually online from 4pm to 4am PST.
I sometimes have days where I don't show up,
but I'll warn you ahead of time unless it's unexpected.

1. PhoenixOwl
2. I would like to have intermediate conversations, at a level where I learn from them, but they aren't too high that I have to spend half an hour deciphering each sentence.
3. I wouldn't mind having conversations over an IM (I have MSN, AIM, and Yahoo), but Gaia messages would be good as well.
4. At the moment I'm usually online throughout the day (from ~6AM - Midnight). My schedule will be changing once I get a job, however. But generally I'm online whenever I have free time. biggrin

1. Chelone or Chelolu are fine... so チェロン or チェロル I guess.
2. I'm a complete beginner... I only know the very basic grammar, the hiragana, the katakana, and a little bit of vocabulary. It'd be nice to have someone who is a little more advanced than I am, so they could correct me.
3. I'd like to use AIM, at "CheloneElf"
4. During the summer I will almost always be on, and during the school year I have school.. obviously. razz I'm not really sure how busy I'll be during school.

Thanks in advance~ heart
