Macu buried his head in his arms. His legs moving up to be held close to his chest. He felt awful, like when he realised his mother and father were going away without him. He had cried for hours after that.
"all of it, is my fault, they could have been together if it wasn't for me..." he whispered, it was his hearts greatest fear, that he would be blamed for everything. So he had drilled it into himself, telling himself it was his fault.
"he could have told me! I have more right to see her then anyone" Macy said, riasing his head to gift Jareth with a hurt glare.

"How could it have been your fault? You didn't have any control over whether you were born or not." said Jareth angrily, they were both feeling a bit sorry for themselves "these things just happen, it's unfortunate, but they just do whether you deserve it or not." He got up to leave "I'll have a word with him, you shouldn't give up so soon, but at the same time I want to remember that there are people who love you here as well, like Caspian and I"

Macy stayed silent, his head resting in his arms once again. He really wanted someone to comfort him, but Caspian wasn't around and he didn't want anyone to see him in such a state. His eyes stung with a feeling not felt for twenty years and he furiously rubbed at them to stop the escaping tears.
"I know...and I love you both aswell..." Macy answered timidly, he wasn't in the mood to hold his airs and graces. As Hyde had so eloquently named his emotionless state.

Leoven had returned to his room, to get away from the Goblin King's accusing eyes. Or maybe they were his own, as he didn't feel any better. The guilt of what he had said and of what he had done many years before resurfaced until it became unbearable.

"oh Macy, my dear child, how I wish you were here" Shiayla murmured softly, her silver gaze trained on the crystal orb infront of her. Jareth had given it to her and so far she had passed it off as a decoration, but it was a object in which she could see Macy through.
She was in the topmost room of one of the towers in the Unseelie Castle, the room was lavishly decorated in pale blues and silvers, with a bed,wardrobe, beanbag type seats and charts and scrolls tacked to the walls. All to help in her job as a preiestess.
"Jareth, care for him, he's in turmoil and I can do nothing to ease it..." she added, the orb settling on an image of Jareth sat in his library. Her pale hands lay over the orb, as if it would bring her closer to them.

Macy--as he usually did when upset-- was wandering around the castle in hopes of avoiding his own personal problems. If he saw Leoven he realised he'd either try to wring his neck or turn himself away in self-pity. Macy couldn't handle emotions well, he just didn't know how to do it.
He froze when he noticed he had stopped outside Leoven's room, and he had no idea why, he had just drifted there while in thought.

Jareth got the distinct feeling that he was being watched. And for once it didn't feel like Eidolon's doing either. It was familiar, and he could taste the metallic tang of his own magic. Which he found rather confusing. The only person he had ever given some of his own power to was....oh.
"She must have felt him calling to her." he said to himself quietly, marvelling at his old friend's timing.

Leoven also had the distinct feeling that he was not alone. Which was backed up by the quiet footsteps that could be heard slowly approaching his room. If this was another Goblin coming to pester him, then he had made a grave mistake. He swung the door open, looking extremely annoyed, but his face quickly contorted into a look of surprise as he noticed the young Unigon standing in the hallway.

Macy was looking blankly out the window, his hair was down and he looked decidedly ruffled. He felt watched, but he was comforted by it. WHen he heard the bang of the door swinging open he looked at Leoven with a neutral gaze, though his eyes were flooded with held back sadness and tears. He didn;t say anything, he couldn't, his throat felt restricted.

Shiayla smiled as she watched Jareth, she knew he could sense her and by the movement of his lips she knew what he said. She just wished she could leave the Unseelie Kingdom and go back to Jareth, her dearest friend. With a sigh she shut her eyes, hearing the approaching footsteps of one of the nobles coming to make sure she was okay and then ask her something.
She was not okay, she pined for her child, her only child, the child who she feared would hate her for staying away. She tapped the Orb and it went blank, she tapped it again and it rolled into the small cushion that she kept it on.
"i'm sorry little love" she murmured sadly, as she heard the footsteps draw closer, she turned away from her low table that overlooked the window and faced the door, patiently waiting with her stance straight as she sat on her legs, arms in her lap and silver gaze downcast.

Leoven blinked slightly at the the younger coursier's presence. His anger quickly reverting back to guilt.
"I...er..I'm sorry, I didn't realise someone was out here." he said awkwardly, he knew full well that the Unigon was probably furious with him.

" I was just...thinking and I wound up here..." Macy answered flatly, his gaze training out the window as the first few droplets of an on-coming thunder storming started to fall. His body shook with repressed emotion and he tried his hardest to hold everything in, but his floodgate was failing.
He looked down quickly, biting his lip to keep the build-up of sobs from escaping, he was with someone who might know of his mother and yet he was still drifting further from the truth.
"please tell me! just tell me...she's alright..." he said abruptly, tears shaking his voice.

Leoven sighed, feeling completely wretched for what he'd said. But if the younger man knew the truth he would probably hate her Holiness for leaving him, or worse, he would try to find her and end up in a lot more trouble than he cared to think of.
"She's all right, Macy." he said after a long pause. "You'd better come inside and have some tea." he suggested meekly. "It's a long story.

Macy froze and looked up when he heard Leoven speak, she was alright...but she was alive. Didn't she care for him anymore? He pushed that thought to the back of his mind as he nodded at Leoven, turning and walking towards the others room.
"okay..." he murmured quietly, his head bowed still as he entered the room slowly, standing still as he looked around, not knowing what to do.

Leoven busied himself with making the tea, there was a small kettle over the fireplace that he had borrowed from the castle kitchens, as he prefered the herbal tea of his homland which, if not prepared correctly could make you very ill, and he didn't trust goblin servants with such a delicate task. He handed Macy a cup and a plate of schtollen cake, another reminder of his home filled with dried fruit and almonds.
"Well before I tell you anything, I think it would be sensible if you let me know how much Jareth has told you about your mother." he began, sitting by the fireplace.

Macy had seated himslef on a sofa Leoven had in his room and had pulled his knees up to his chest, resting his chin on them. He was bare foot, somethign Macy had always thought of as dangerous in the Goblin Castle. He placed the tea and cake slice on the coffee table before him.
"he told me that she's a Unicorn Preistess...and a powerful one at that, he also told me she sought sanctuary in your kingdom.." Macy answered quietly, his gaze on the fire.

Leoven nodded, his superiors were going to kill once they found out about this.
"Well, he would be correct." he replied "Twenty years ago, she arrived in our kingdom, seeking asylum. The king was unsure about allowing it as she was wanted by both the Unicorn clans and the Dragon Kingdom and housing her could have lead to war. On the other hand, the presence of a Unicorn would be seen as a blessing by the people, she would be able to heal the sick and bring harmony to our warring clans and races." he paused. "In the end, Shiayla gained popularity among the council and the people, and was granted Sanctuary with us. She was appointed High Priestess of the Darklands just over three years ago."
