Self Destructive [Hollow point] Haha. Wow have you ever been in/seen how any SOTW runs? Are you making fun of me? Alright, care to explain to me how it SHOULD be run then? No! Dont take it the wrong way, I'm not making fun. It's not the way youre running it, it's the way you set it up. You cant just tell people "ok make a sig and we'll see who's is best." that never works because the styles are all very widely different but also there should be a render, that makes the common ground on which the sigs are made. Good example of how a SOTW should be set about. or go to Planet Render.net to get more examples.

oo planet render is a nice, pretty place <3 acutally, it doesn't have to be a render, you can have a theme too, I think we once had a theme of fragility in my home forum... had some really cool results. HEREso yeah ^_^

Yeah, themes, renders, you cant just start it and have the contestants run wild. You'll end up with one guy having a fire theme, one dude having an ice theme, then some other guy will have a darkness theme. The ideas will be so far apart that no one could judge fairly.

Ok well in this case, wouldn't this fall into a very similar category of the other contests I was planning on running in the future? They are all themed, plus I'll be doing the render thing, showing you all a render and we will see who can make the best of it.

Not really the SOTW is specifically for making signatures.

I think what you're getting at is you just want signatures with no theme, you think of themed contests as seperate...
But yes, signature conests are basically the same as others (other themed ones or render ones) but they must follow the constraints of a signature style. =/
They're all the same contest really, just with different constraints, style constraint, render constraint... different rules if you will, but it's all basically the same contest of comparing artist talent and interpretation under certain rules...
... did that make any sense?
