ffdarkangel Man, I think we need to get back on topic. This isn't the how Christianity needs to be changed thread, its about the Church of Satan. Knowing this, I will go back on topic. (This happens way too often with me.) So I know that there is a Satanists bible out there. Just curious, but whats in it? Does it have instructions or is something like the Christian bible or maybe something intirely different? Yeah, its been years, heck at least a decade and a half (i think) since I've seen a Satanic bible. I can only vaguely recall anything that was in it. I seem to remember that LaVey wrote a book called "The Satanic Bible," but part of me thinks that there's at least one other text with the same or a similar nomiker.

Satanism has been around for 40 years and their are four books written by Anton LaVey and a new book is coming out soon called The Satanic Scriptures by the black pope, Peter Gilmore.

The Satanic Bible was the first book written by Anton LaVey and it sets forth some of the principals and practices of his specific form of Satanism which later came to be known as LaVeyan Satanism or the Church of Satan. It includes four book, each named after a prince of hell and attributed to one of the four elements. The first book, the Book of Satan, is a short Satanic Prayer. The second book, the Book of Lucifer, describes a bit of LaVey's philosophy and ideas. The third book, the Book of Belial, gives a bit of theory and practice for Satanic ritual. The fourth book, the Book of Leviathan, contains a series of invocations, called "the Satanic keys." Sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow What I meant though was he has actually written 5 books and they are The Satanic Bible, The Satanic Witch, The Satanic Rituals, The Devil's Notebook, and Satan Speaks!And then of coarse I mentioned The Satanic Scriptures by the black pope of the church of satan, Peter H. Gilmore. So far I only have The Satanic Bible on a pdf file and I was also able to get a preview of The Satanic Scriptures on a pdf file rofl Don't worry about what you don't know

The Bible of Satan looks introsting to read. I like to view the world from other peoples viewpoints to see the world in a different way and not be so ignoreant. Ignoreance leads to subborness which leads to wars. When one side is unwilling to see the other, the situation ecalates. If the people stopped and thought from the other persons' viewpoint, we may of had less wars.
Went on a rant, yet again. From the summeries, it doesn't look like the book goes and conracks itself which is a good reason to read it. It also doesn't look like the guy ******** anyone like gays, like in the Christian bible. Personally, I think love thy neighbor commantment contracts any of the veres against gays, but that is my opinion.
So, where did you get the online copy? I'm interested.

It's almost a shame that there are so few of us who are actually open mined. I have always been the type to respect others opinions and i love learning about peoples beliefs. about the satanic bible, my friend email'd it to me so im not sure where he got it from. Sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow Updated Post Now on the first post I said that I wanted to leave a lot of open room for discussion and that I would post later about other topics after I saw some replies. Well, thanks to everyone! I enjoyed reading all the replies the thread has gotten so now I want to post about the Satanists' view on love and hate. Love is very precious. So precious that it is impossible for one to love EVERYBODY. Love is so precious that it should be saved for those who truly deserve your love. If a person says that he/she loves everyone like a brother or sister, then that only means (in my own opinion that is) that the love they are giving is unnatural. Hate is viewed in the same way, even though hate is a less liked emotion, it is viewed very similar as love. Once you know who your true enemy is, then it's ok to hate them with a whole heart. Also, when you give your hate to those who deserve it the most, then that causes you to not throw your hate to the people you truly love. I personally think that people should save their love for those who deserve it like your family and friends instead of wasting such a beautiful emotion on someone you don't even know. Like I said in the very first post, every good religion has flaws. An argument about love and hate is if your hate gets out of control then it will consume you and hate will be all you know. I personally disagree with that. Love is a powerful emotion that everyone needs and wants. People need to know that they are loved. When you have strong love towards the people you truly love, then you don't have to worry about your hate getting out of control becuase hate is a powerful emotion as well but when you have both, they balance each other out. Again, I would love to hear everyone's opinion on love and hate. This is The Satanic Bible's text of love and hate. Quote: LOVE AND HATE

everything you lose your natural powers of selection and wind up being a pretty poor

Therefore, the Satanist believes you should love strongly and completely those who
deserve your love, but never turn the other cheek to your enemy!
Love is one of the most intense emotions felt by man; another is hate. Forcing yourself to feel
indiscriminate love is very unnatural. If you try to love everyone you only lessen your
feelings for those who deserve your love. Repressed hatred can lead to many physical and
emotional ailments. By learning to release your hatred towards those who deserve it, you
cleanse yourself of these malignant emotions and need not take your pent-up hatred out on
your loved ones.
There has never been a great "love" movement in the history of the world that hasn't wound
up killing countless numbers of people, we must assume, to prove how much they loved
them! Every hypocrite who ever walked the earth has had pockets buldging with love!
Every pharisaical religionist claims to love his enemies, even though when wronged he
consoles himself by thinking "God will punish them". Instead of admitting to themselves that
they are capable of hating their foes and treating them in the manner they deserve, they say:
"There, but for the grace of God, go I," and "pray" for them. Why should we humiliate and
lower ourselves by drawing such inaccurate comparisons?
Satanism has been thought of as being synonymous with cruelty and brutality. This is so only
because people are afraid to face the truth - and the truth is that human beings are not all
benign or all loving. Just because the Satanist admits he is capable of both love and hate, he is
considered hateful. On the contrary, because he is able to give vent to his hatred through
ritualized expression, he is far more capable of love - the deepest kind of love. By honestly
recognizing and admitting to both the hate and the love he feels, there is no confusing one
emotion with the other. Without being able to experience one of these emotions, you cannot
fully experience the other. Don't worry about what you don't know

Just curious for clarification's sake. There are many, many different types of love. What particular type specifically does what you wrote apply to with respect to Satanism? Some types of love I'd agree can really only be held for a limited number of individuals, but other types can be held universally for all things that exist, be it human, nonhuman, or even mineral.

Well the love I was talking about was love towards people. But I guess you can discuss whatever kind of love you like. I am interested in your opinion. 3nodding

The book of Satan is introsting...I didn't much like the introduction, it was too wordy for my taste. However, I didn't mind the rest of it. It seems the guy got straight to the point, what a concept!
I do agree with a lot of the things in it, but some things I disagree. Overall, it wasn't half that bad. If only the Christian bible were that straightfoward, maybe people could grasp it.
