Some douche-bag of a hobo.
Here's my story.
I was driving home this evening when I noticed my tank was nearly on empty. I pulled into the nearest gas-station and parked at one of the pumps. As I walked towards the mini-mart thing to pay for my gas, this douche of a hobo comes up and starts asking me for money. Now, gas is expensive.... I had ten dollars on hand- count 'em, ten- and I was going to put it all in the tank so I could get home and to work in the morning. So, I, of course, said I had no money to give. The hobo just shook his head and held out his greasy hand and kept begging me. I kept telling him I didn't have anything. Then the hobo grabbed my arm and started yelling at me to give him money. I screamed bloody murder, and was rescued by the cashier of the mini-mart, whom kindly shook the hobo off of me and pulled out a can of mace. (Damn I love that stuff.) The hobo left me alone after a while, and the cashier took me inside until the hobo had completely disappeared. I didn't call the police and press charges because I didn't feel like a legal dispute was needed- the guy needed money to eat, or get high, or whatever, so I figured I'd just let him be.
I got my gas, drove home, locked all the doors and laid awake by the telephone for quite some time. I used to give money to hobo's all the time- I lived on the streets with my mother for a few years, so I know what it's like. But after this, you won't catch me giving money to any hobo ever again.
He's gotta be on the hit-list.
