Sasori nodded to show his understanding. As curious as he was about this young man, it was getting quite late and practicality demanded that they get a good night's sleep.
"I think we should go to bed soon," the puppet-master quietly said. "We've got a lot of ground to cover tomorrow."

Deidara yawned and nodded, realizing just then how late it really was. " Good point, un." He stood, streching his arms skyward. The moon was full in the midnight sky as a cloud went past.
" We hed for Suna tomorrow, correct?" he asked, raising his blond eyebrow over his right eye.

"Yes, but it's probably going to be a couple of days before we get there. There's a small village about halfway, which we should be able to reach by tomorrow evening." Sasori had already started putting out the fire, which was taking a while.
Sorry about the short post, but I have to leave for now.

No problem, I understand ^^
Deidara nodded " Right." he said this simpily, and then noticed his partner trying to put out the fire, which was consuming time. He would have felt horrible sleeping while Sasori did all the work, so he bent over to help.
" Here, let me help you with that, un." he said, being generous towards the other male. As he aided his partner, one of his hands accidently rested itself on top of Sasori's. He blinked back a surprise as he realized this and quickly withdrew it. " Sorry, un." he apologized quietly, fighting a blush.

Sasori wondered why Deidara was making such a big deal about the accident. It had been unintentional, as he realised, but now Deidara was overreacting. The puppet-master didn't understand why.
"It's fine," was all that he could think of to say. Soon the fire was reduced to dying embers that would go cold within the hour. Sasori stood back up and brushed off his hands.
"I guess I'll see you tomorrow. Good night, Deidara-san." With that, Sasori turned to disappear into his tent.

The blond nodded at Sasori's wish for a good night at him, and he mentally said the same as he tred to his own tent in the shadows of the tree. He was glad that Sasori hadn't questioned him further about the acidental hand-brushing, but he couldn't help but wonder Did I do that on purpose?
As He entered the flap of his tent he laid dow, many thoughts swirling in his head about the day. What had made him react the ways he did? Normally, he;d still be going on about his mastery of artwork, yet it was...diffrent with Sasori-donna. Whom he once thought was arrogent was now intelligent, witty, cute...
Wait, what? Deidara shhok his head as he undid the ponytail that held his hair up, letting it fall to it's real length, just past the shoulders. Turning to he side, he promtly fell aspleep, his last thought for the night being Did I just call him cute?!

Sasori awoke early enough to watch the sun rise. He had always been able to get by on little sleep, even before he had left his village. Now, he both needed and wanted even less.
The man sat suspended in a nest of high tree branches. It was a clear day that would allow him to see for miles when the sun grew bright enough. Right now it was dawn, and Sasori watched the colours in the sky constast with the darkness of the landscape with special interest. Fleeting beauty, that's what he saw. His new partner's perception of art.

" It's nice, isn't it?"
The comment came from Deidara of course, who sat infront of his tent indian-styled, looking upward. Although already dressed, his hair had yet to be tied into place, so it still hung past his shoulders, the light of the rising sun slightly catching it. Although the man wasn't that much of a morning person, he loved to watch the sun rise, and then later fall. It showed that, in a world of painters and sculptors, fleeting beauty still existed. And everybody knew about it.

It didn't surprise Sasori that he wasn't alone. After seeing how intently Deidara had been watching the sunset the previous night, him being awake to see the sunrise was only to be expected. The two artists had that at least in common.
"Yes," Sasori quietly replied. It was loud enough for Deidara to hear, however. The redhead stared at the rising sun through the tree's foliage for a few more moments before he turned over on his stomach and stared down at his partner. The branches he was residing in were strong enough to support him.

From the way the redhead was watching the sunrise, he felt that Sasori understood. Sure, maybe their outlook on artwork was diffrent, yet he understood how beautiful a fleeting moment...life could be.
He looked upwards to see Sasori staring at him, belly down on the tree branches. What was he staring at- something on his face? Yet, he didn't look away. There was something about his partner- was it that shock of red hair or his narrow green eyes that caught his attention? Whatever it was,it struck Deidara as... God, he's so beautiful...un...
He didn't stop himself from thinking that, this time. Ever since he met the man, he felt...diffrent. He couldn't explain it, but he knew what it was now...
" Is there something wrong, Sasori-donna?"

Sasori too was transfixed with the image of his partner's visage. The early sunlight was showing off Deidara's natural beauty though the different coloured lights. The pinks and reds added to the look Sasori believed to be exotic and unique. Truly, he had never seen anyone who looked quite like Deidara before. He was one of a kind.
It was difficult for him to snap out of his trance. He forced himself to do so and climb down the tree in a matter of moments.
"Not at all," He said once he was safely on the ground. "Why did you decide to call me that, Deidara-san?"

Okay, that was good. Deidara was happy that he hadn't upset the redhead in any way. But why was he staring at him like that? He would have asked, but he was afraid that that actually would make him mad. So he sat up and removed a hair-tie from his right wrist and began to tie up his golden hair and he explained the answer to Sasori's question.
" Well, I've got to admit, you're stronger than me, and I feel I could learn a lot from you, un. Plus, would you rather me call you Sasori-kun?" he paused, a quizzical look on his face. " Unless you'd prefer that, of course, un."

A short laugh was Sasori's immediate reply. "Sasori-dana is fine."
Sasori was reminded to look after his hair while watching Deidara, so he settled for quickly finger-combing it. Usually he was concerned very little about his apperance, but somehow seemed to think it important when in this particular young man's company.
A random though entered Sasori's mind, which he decided to give voice to. "Is Deidara-san alright with you? I'm not sure of how else I should address you."

Deidara smiled. " Yeah, Sasori-san is great, un. Trust me, Leader-Sama calls me Deidara-chan, and I don't say anything about it."
However, the day just got a bit better as he watched Akasuna no Sasori trying to fix his hair. He chuckled and stood, reaching up to help. " Your hair is fine, un. Here, that helps." he said, running his fingers through it once.
(( I'll fix this, depending on how high the branch is.))

When Deidara had assisted with fixing his hair, Sasori would have blushed if that were a possibility for him. As it was, he still managed an uncomfortable little twitch in his fingers and looked away.
"Thank you," he murmured so quietly that he doubted Deidara had heard him. Clearing his throat, he hopped off of the low branch.
"We should get going," Sasori added, his tone of voice suddenly a lot more businesslike.
