Once again, just as before, the little sprite dodged the jet of water. Genevieve was extremely confused, and took a second to think, allowing Sann's periodical blast of air to throw her into the air. Is she too fast...am I too slow...wait! My attacks! Theres a problem. Theyre all linear!! OF COURSE!" Genevieve pulled out two mana stones from her pouch and fused them together into her hand.

"Spire!" she called out. A sharp mount of earth rose from the ground under Sann. Should the attack hit, it would impale Sann in the hoo-ha, but Genevieve couldnt let her guard down. She already began reaching into her pouch again, fiddling for something better than the basics.

The attack indeed, did hit Sann in the hoo-ha. As she cried out in pain, Genevieve laughed maliciously. It had been a while since she had done that to anyone. Good times... She trotted over to the crying Sann and lifted her off the ground. She brushed off her shoulders and dried her tears. "There there..." She shook the little twerp violently. "Wheres mah prize!!" The little sprite looked up, sadly, and spoke.

"You baffoon, Im supposed to give a corny yet much needed speech! Its inevitabl-"
"I dont care!" Gene interrupted, "I want a prize." She pouted her lower lip as her eyes were consumed in flames. Fine fine Thought Sann to herself. The little fairy handed the symbol of wind to Genevieve, gasping for her to let her down. Genevieve did, and Sann hit the ground with a thump.

Genevieve started to exit the cave, looking at the Symbol of Wind, a little puzzled by how she could use it. Enchant it...enchant something with it...eat it? There were so many possibilities, that the only thing Gene could do was smiled. And as she beamed, whilst exiting the cave, she swore she could hear a monologue in the distance.

Erin’s search for answers to his problem, that he did not think himself to be natural, lead him to the temple of Priyal. He had heard a great spirit lay here, and he knew it would be a great start for answers. He slowly entered into the temple, his body become as black as the darkness around him. As he had become nervous the opacity of his body lowered him, making him paler and harder to see him.

He finally felt the presence of a great spirit within the sanctum he was looking in. His anxiousness made him tremble as he entered the room. He didn’t see Sann, she rather found him. “Who goes there?” She asked him.

“I…. Erin…. I…”
“Erin is it! You are here for a reason are you not.”
“Yes… I…”
“I know your reason… you want information. I can tell you what I know, but you must show how worthy you are for it. I Sann of the Air and Wind will not let anything go with out testing you abilities.”

She floated into the air and blasted him with a small breeze.

Erin was frightened and he stepped back, the runes on his body glowing. Sann then shot a blast of air at him, sending him towards the wall, slamming him upon it. He shook his head and he looked up. His eyes tearing. He didn’t want to fight.

Sann shot a slash of sharp air, that cut his arm. He immediately gripped it. Even though he was spirit he was still capable of bleeding, and the blood was trickling between his fingers, until a soft glow started to become present from underneath it. His arm healed. “Please stop this! Cant you just tell me?”

“No, you leave this room I will not follow you stay here, I will view it as your still fighting.” She answered, sending another blast at him, pinning him against the wall.

This time Erin’s didn’t open. Instead a hard cold stare awaken. The sharp blue eyes eyeing at the spirit. He let loose a low growl. He stepped forward. “You really shouldn’t do that.” Rage’s voice came with an echo. It was a low beastly voice, echoed by Erin’s softer kind voice underneath.

Rage’s hand, that was still stricken with blood began to glow, and he sliced the air. The glow of his hand shot from his hand and through the air after this Wind Spirit that had attacked his former self.

Sann was amused to see the sudden change in personality. She greeted his attack with a similar one that sent his back at himself attacking him. The slash of light hurdled back towards Rage, it wobbled and lost its gripping and started to spin about, hitting Rage completely long wise.

Rage held his arm, that was further damaged. He got up again and saw another attack coming back upon him. He immediately changed in color as he allowed his body to become intangible. The attack phased through him hitting the wall behind him. He knew he couldn’t attack while in the form so he reverted back to a physical form and barely managed to leap into the air over another blast of air.

While in mid air he sent another of his Ghastly Slashes at Sann.

To his mixed delight the attack did in fact hit its mark, but Sann was not amused at the minor scratch it left on her. She roared as the wind swirl around about her. She lifted higher into the Sanctum, ready to strike down with a vengeance. “You will pay for this.” She said as the room started to blow towards her creating a vortex. From the vortex many blades of air shot forward.

Rage leaped over everyone of them, and was taken by surprised by a swift punch to the jaw by her. He was again, sent flying and collided with the wall.

He grew tired of this reoccurring collision, and roared in anger. He growled and he snarled as he charged forward. His speed taking Sann on by surprise. He leaped into the air and then vanished, leaving a small cloud of smoke, and he appeared behind her, giving her a sift round house kick to her back. Sending her towards the wall he had been hitting many a times.

Rages attack was dead on. Sann hit the wall, but she was not damaged to badly. She floated into the air and turned around. He eyes glazed in anger. She then slashed the air sending yet another slash at him. She was to frustrated to the point of silence. Her focus entirely upon attacks. She sent them speeding at her target. Each one finding its mark.

Rage was able to defend himself with her crossed arms for the most part, but it finally proved to be a bit much. He was sent to the ground, in agonizing pain.

Rage looked up weakly and closed his eyes, regaining strength as he focused. He stood up and seemed to disappear again. This time appearing above the female spirit, and giving her a swift kick to the face sending her to the ground.

Rages attack missed, as Sann exploded into a major wave of air slamming him into the ceiling, and then the long fall to the ground. He laid motionless. T

hen his body stirred. The cold stare was now soft and glow of Erin. His voice was no longer matched with an echo. “Please stop!” He cried as Sann started to dive after him. Erin leaped up and jumped out of the way. He didn’t want his actions to harm the spirit, but her speed, she would not be able to stop.

He gripped his shoulder with a glowing hand as he tried to heal himself. His power was to exhausted. “Why are you attacking me. Why are you so furious!” he screamed at her not remembering any of the bought he had been having.

Sann did not stop at his pleads, in fact she used her momentum to her advantage. She enveloped herself in the air, that exploded as she hit the ground, sliding Erin against the ground to the wall, again. He hit with a hard thud, saliva knocked loose from his mouth.

Erin started to shiver as his shy timid side switched, then back, then switched again. Rage standing up, extremely angry and sore, but he ignored his pain. He walked up to the Wind spirit, and held his hand to his side, letting it start to glow and then he finally slashed at her, just close enough to not hit her, but the slash that radiated from it hit hard.

His attack did just as he wanted. It was not an over kill but it did its work. Sann was sent through the air and she crashed into the wall. The two of them had been playing ping pong with each other and Rage just dealt the final blow. She got up slowly, and fell back to her knees. “You…win…” She whispered through the wind.

The wind reached Rages ears, the two words immediately caused Erin to re-immerge. He looked at his body then her. “What happened…” He was truly and completely confused. He didn’t remember anything at all.

“I was defeated. I promised you information. I don’t hold any… but I have something that will help you on your conquest of knowledge.” She floated towards him and presented him with an item. “This item will help you in the future. Keep it close. Do not loose it if you wish for the truth.” With that she seemed to fade away, leaving Erin sitting on the cold stone ground, an item in his hand, and his other glowing on his shoulder.

Anar stood in front of the temple entrance that loomed over him. Darkness infiltrated the hall that presumably led to the inner sanctum where Sann resided. He shifted his weight to his right foot. A gust of wind emerged from the darkness, swirling around Anar. His long white robes and chains dangled in the wind, and settled again in their places as soon as the gale had died down.

Sann has acknowledge my arrival.

Modi was securely fastened to a belt at his hip, picking up the sun light with its metallic blade and reflected it back ten fold. Anar flexed his shoulders, shifting the large object on his back into a more comfortable position between the blades of his shoulders. The quiver of silver arrows hung loosely over one shoulder, also picking up sunlight as the quiver swung back and forth in the breeze.

To any onlookers, it would seem that this would-be archer before them is missing his bow. An archer with arrows, but no bow? Has he gone mad?

Anarel tightened his lip as he walked deftly into the shrouded hall of Heaven's Eye.

Another gust of wind blew through the darkness. He gripped the hilt of Modi. Anarel could sense the free-spirited mana of Sann. It grew stronger as he neared the inner sanctum. A dim light could be seen at the end of the hall. It was a source of light produced by torches, as well as an opening at the top of the sanctum, Anarel could perceive that much.

His foot finally stepped into the dusty, inner sanctum, brightly illuminated by torches, and as he predicted, a large circular opening in the temple's roof.

"An elf has come to Heaven's Eye?"

A playful voice seemed to materialize as a sudden gust of wind began to pick up. Anarel did not move.

He cleared his throat. A brief pause, and a torrent of winds began to collect from different directions. It was unnatural. This was Sann's doing. A small tornado formed dead center in the room, carrying with it dead leaves, dust and debris from the temple floor. The torches flickered, making eerie shadows dance wildly along the rune-etched walls of the sanctum.

"No, not full elf..." The voice emanated from the winds, then abruptly dissipated, releasing the leaves and debris to the floor. Sann hovered before him, a slight breeze dancing around her, playing with her clothes and hair.

"An elf, tainted with Huma-"

He didn't have time for the verbal jests of this wind deity. Before she could finish her statement, Anarel used his elvish grace and swiftness to quickly reach behind him and grip Magni's riser to position the bow in front of him, while retrieving with his other hand, an ordinary single, silver arrow from its quiver.

He slung the arrow back into his bow, and released with unnatural speed. The silver arrow glistened and sparkled as it traversed the winds straight into the direction of Sann's forehead.

The wind deity stood motionless. A barricade of air currents materialized before her. The silver arrow did not immediately disperse from its original path. Instead, it fought hard against the wind, trembling and and wobbling in mid-air for a short while, before being rerouted into the upper regions of the sanctum. Anarel's ears picked up a slight clinking noise in the back of the sanctum as the arrow crashed to the floor. His initial attack had been thwarted.

"Oh, now that's something rather unique. Reveal your mysterious bow, half-elf." Sann smiled.

Anar bit his lip.

No matter. The attack was merely thrown out there to test Sann's strength. He expected no less from a great wind deity.

Anarel stepped back and drove off of that leg to catapult himself high into the air above Sann. He did not like to waste arrows, and pure silver arrows were hard to come by. He intended to retrieve his thwarted arrow.

While in mid-air, Anarel once more gripped the phantom-like Magni, produced another arrow from the quiver, and slung it back into the bow.

"Sann! I send you a taste of Ifreet's legacy!"

His voice echoed ethereally throughout the walls of the sanctum. As soon as the words left his lips, fire materialized around him, took life, and began revolving violently around the shaft of the arrow. Anarel released the fletching of the arrow from his fingertips, and a torrent of liquid-flame trailed down onto Sann, bringing with it a bright light and scorching heat.

Sann dematerialized into wind currents as the liquid-flamed rained down onto its target. The ground beneath Anarel was scorched black and left sizzling and rising with wispy tendrils of grey smoke. The silver arrow was stuck firmly into the ground, unaffected by the great fire.

"Tch..." Anarel expressed his dismay.

Sann was no where to be seen, but he could still feel her presence below him. A current of wind picked up, and brought Sann spinning gracefully into view once more, unharmed. Using her spinning motion, she released a limp, outstretched arm in Anarel's direction, and a violent barrage of wind currents bolted toward him.

Having no time to invoke protection magic, he twirled Magni with both hands into a horizontal position, fixating the large shield that was fashioned into Magni's riser in the direct path of the oncoming winds.

It was of no use. The winds made their way around his poor defense, traveling across his skin. He felt mana in those currents. As soon as the winds touched him, cuts began to form where the wind swept. Sparks exploded from Magni's limbs as the deity's mana tried to cut into it.

Anarel fell to the ground on his legs, but staggered at bit as he tried to regain balance. Warm blood trickled down his tanned skin and left an awful mark on his white coat.

She's toying with me.

He was quite a ways from Sann. Long-ranged attacks proved to be of no use. Wasting no time, he quickly grabbed the fallen arrow from his initial attack, placed it in its quiver and returned Magni to its position on his back.

He placed a hand over Modi's hilt as he placed a foot onto the wall behind him, pushing on it as if he were about to scale the wall with just his legs alone. As soon as he was able to place two feet against the wall, Anarel reared his legs, and launched himself off of it into Sann's direction. He released Modi from the clasp of his belt and aimed it at the wind deity.

In a way, Anarel had become an arrow himself.

Anarel did not expect Modi's blade to even touch her, let alone strike her. He needed to get close to Sann in order to engage her in close combat. He wasn't sure if this wind deity had any skill in hand-to-hand, but long range fighting was not a suitable option at the moment.

He intended to roll to the ground and recover from his lengthly leap from the opposite wall, but then Sann took advantage of an opportunity. She leaped to the side to dodge his attack, but before he completely sailed past her, she quickly grabbed his foot.

Anarel's eyes widened as his speed slowed suddenly in mid-flight. He looked back to see a smiling Sann.

She spun around, and with her god-like strength, flung Anarel back into the direction he came from. He was sent careening across the sanctum's floor and crashed into the wall he initially lept from. A giant cloud of dust and debris emerged from the collision, unfurling and morphing into a completely opaque dust cloud. It covered Anarel entirely.

"That Humanish blood has greatly weakened your performance as an archer, half-elf..." Sann continued to tease.

As soon as she said that, two silver arrows emerged simultaneously from the giant dust cloud, with wispy tendrils of dusty smoke trailing behind them. They pierced through the air with an angry fervor.

Sann's eyes widened and her smile quickly faded. This half-elf did not waste any time. The arrows came at her at a blinding speed, and all she could make of them were shining sparks flying toward her.

As soon as she felt both of the arrows' tips touch her being, she released a high-pitched scream and dispersed into a torrent of strong winds before they could pierce her.

The entire sanctum shook and any object that was not fastened to a firm surface was blown into the walls. Dust poured from the cracks in the walls and roof of the sanctum. The dust cloud that shrouded Anarel blew away as well, revealing a motionless, dust-covered figure. He said nothing, and stepped forward to catch the two arrows that had been blown off course. He returned them to his quiver. He also pulled the arrow from the ground when he launched the great fire from a previous attack, and placed it back into the quiver as well.

Before he entered the hall that led to the outside, Sann's voice was heard once more, "Ha! You sneaky half-elf! Take this, a token of my appreciation, for managing to inherit the craftiness of your elven kind!"

Anarel turned his head, and a soft breeze rose from beneath him. A small object appeared in his slightly closed hand. Anarel paused, said nothing, and stuffed the object into a pocket within his coat.

He entered the darkness of the hall and left Heaven's Eye.

Her mother's warning still echoing in her head, Corsage picked her way carefully up the steps to the wind temple, claws clicking against the stone. It had been a pain traveling this far for a battle, but her mother had insisted she try her hand against the Wind spirit before she attempt to battle Efreet in her home of Emberfall. It didn't matter, Sann gave her famous Symbol of the Wind to any who could defeat her. Corsage wondered what it was made of.

The temple itself was deserted and Corsage wondered for a moment whether she had picked the right place. Suddenly from the shadows next to the shrine, the wind spirit came forward. She was smaller than Corsage had expected, but the eerie thrumming of the air inside the temple put her nerves on edge.

"I've come to challenge you." Her voice was not nearly as confident as she would have liked, but she lifted her head to look the floating spirit in the eye.

"Very well, young one." Sann nodded slowly. "If you can defeat me, I shall bless you with my strength."

A second passed in silence. Then, toes spread for better purchase on the cold stone, Corsage leaped forward, claws reaching for Sann's throat.
