DispatchNA The trailer was out about a week before it should've been. ^_^ Illegal? Mebbe... The movie have all of the original cast except for Mimi, played by Rosario Dawson, and Joanne, played by Tracie Thoms. And not only is Kristin in Bewitched, but Carole Shelley is too! ^_^ I <3 her. Hoboy. Really resisting the urge to see Bewitched now. I know I'll hate it, nothing in my mental iron curtain of hatred for Will Farrel and dissapointment at Nickole Kidman for acting with him right after her amazing work in The Interpreter. But....Kristin Chenoweth! And Carole Shelley! Aye, this will be an exercise of my will.

DispatchNA Arawath I just thought of something...everyone wants to know what Rosario Dawson''s voice is like; a couple of years ago I remember she was in that Josie and the Pussie Cats movie...was that her singing or a voiceover? o.O I''ve heard rumors that that was a voiceover, but I''m really not sure. However, there''s a link on the Rent website to a bunch of clips from the soundtrack of the Rent movie, and you hear her in Out Tonight and LMC. She sounds great - very slinky. ^_^ eek *clicky clicky* I guess I missed that...

Yeah, I saw the trailer at the movie theater and I totally went wild. It wasn't in a movie, they were just kinda playing it in the lobby. I downloaded the trailer song from ITunes. I'm listening to it right now, I love it!

Will's character was a jackass, so I had no problem with him, but Nicole kept whispering, and I couldn't tell if she just wasn't trying, or if she was trying to act like a dumb blonde/bad actress the entire time. Kristin and Carole made it worthwhile for me ^_^

Kristin plays Nicole bubbly next-door neighbor ^_^ She was surprisingly good. I mean, I had expected her to be good, but she definately exceeded my expectations. Carole plays Aunt Clara, Nicole's aunt who appears and tries to help her.

I bought the new soundtrack today (with Mark cover). It's actually pretty good. It's a bit more modernized (many a many a guitar).

Polan I bought the new soundtrack today (with Mark cover). It's actually pretty good. It's a bit more modernized (many a many a guitar). I have the Maureen cover! I liked it. I'm glad that the two non-original Broadway cast members (Traci and Rosario) are talented. At first I was mad about Over the Moon (it wasn't as good as how it was sung in the original), but I was relieved that Idina sings it live for the movie (so hopefully she'll put all the Maureen-ness into the song for the movie ^^) The cast has a more mature sound now, instead of the raw sound (that's not a bad thing. Their new sound is just as good as the OBC raw sound). Love Heals was nice ^^

(pardon the rant)
I'm listening to the soundtrack right now! I love it soooooooo much! I don't like it any more or less than the OBC. I know there are a lot of people saying that it sucks and that's sad. I mean...Adam Pascal squeaks!!!!!!!!!!!!! come on what more you you ask for? xd yah, and I really like Rosario and Tracy as mimi and joanne. And Adam sounds wonderful in One Song Glory. And Over the Moon...yeah it was different, it'll just take some getting used to.

I was all, "OMG! I HATE JOO ROSAR--Oooh. You've got a wonderful voice." XD
