User ImageEntry 11 :: Surprise Party for Dr. Kyou & Chloe
Title :: "We're Gonna Love You in Every Way"
Song :: "Happy Birthday" by New Kids On The Block

RP Type:: Open RP (Complete)
Location:: Julian's Apartment Complex, Isle de Gambino

Status :: COMPLETE

Introduction Excerpt
Natsuki loved parties, especially when she got to help plan it. When she figured out that We'rika and Ravi, two of the guys she met at the Lab's Partie D'Amour. Being as OCD as she is, she wasn't going to rely on a team of men to plan a party, though she had more confidence in the exacting nature of Tsu, and Julian's calculation abilities. She arrived early to set up, and then dashed back hack to her place to dress accordingly.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, gentleman," Natsuki said, as she walked in dressed to kill, and toting her laptop. She was well prepared for a night of killer tunes, and possibly a little mixing things up. "Hope you aren't too disappointed. And keep those fingers away from the cake until its time to eat it. I have a knife, and I will use it."

Natsuki threw her head back and laughed, throwing a wink to Ravi and We'rika. She hoped everyone received their invitations, as they took forever to get finished. "Mix me up something light and fruity, We`rika? I need to finish setting up."

User ImageEntry 12 :: Un Petit Café
Title :: "Embroider Me With Gold"
Song :: "Dance With the Angels" by Lisa Loeb

RP Type:: Private
Location:: Café Jubilee, Isle de Gambino
Featuring:: Natsuki, Kalindara & Tariel

Status :: COMPLETE

Introduction Excerpt
Beautiful beach front property in Isle de Gambino without a sold sign hanging on it was quite the rarity. However, thanks to a realtor friend of Natsuki’s parents, she managed to get a gorgeous slab of land for both her new home and the resurrection of her beloved Café Jubilee. With a more laid back clientele making the rounds, Natsuki didn’t need a large wait staff like the Durem incarnation of the café required. While she continued interviewing applicants for the available service positions, she took the time to run the café in a less harried manner, which helped her become acclimated to her new surroundings.

In her many ventures back to her hometown, she met many interesting and exciting people, especially those at the Lab events, both before and after the Lab exploded. One of which was a beautiful woman with red hair named, Kalindara. They met for a very brief moment at Kyou and Chloe’s birthday bash, and Natsuki got a glimpse of Kali’s gorgeous, young charge, named Tariel. She knew of their names from the party guest list that she obtained from Dr. Tsu. With the hustle and bustle of the party, Natsuki barely had time to breathe, let along maintain a long conversation with anyone except for Chloe, and that was only when she was dressing her friend, the birthday girl, up for the occasion.

She penned a formal letter of introduction to Kali and Tariel, inviting them to the café for tea and cake as her guests. In bubbly, yet legible penmanship, Natsuki thanked them again for attending the party, and explained how she was a guardian in waiting. Simply thinking about her own Raevan made her quite excited. Natsuki stood behind the bar, slicing up fresh lemon-raspberry squares while waiting for her VIPs to arrive.

User ImageEntry #13 A:: A Decent Proposal
Title :: "She's So Rock Steady"
Song :: "Black Betty" by Ram Jam

RP Type:: Private (Complete)
Location:: Café Jubilee, Durem
Featuring:: Natsuki & Shuura

Status :: COMPLETE*

Introduction Excerpt
Natsuki found herself sitting in a booth on the second floor of Cafe Jubilee. The rain poured down outside, and with school back in session, the cafe was dead quiet during the day time, with the occassional group of regulars coming duing their class breaks. The owner decided to travel to Singapore, leaving Natsuki in charge of the entire shop. This included the hiring of additional cafe and shop workers. After an incident with a couple of girls and some customers, Natsuki was three staff members short and up to her ears in paperwork.

Natsuki penned a quick letter to Shuura and sent it off to Gambino. She remembered that Dr. Tsuki told her abou their being neighbors, and it had been ages since she saw the university student.
Sipping on her hot chocolate and nibbling on her cheesecake, Natsuki waited to see if her friend would drop by.

RP Type:: Private

Featuring:: Natsuki & Shuura

Introduction Excerpt
Natsuki looked at her watch, and took a deep breath. For the first time, she was not only training a new employee, but a friend who was interested in learning how she practiced business. She would be mentoring someone whom she'd befriended over the past year, but unfortunately, for the young Durem University student, Shuura was about to see the infamous other side of Natsuki's demeanor. Unlike her fun and laid-back side or her perky shop persona, Natsuki the Business Woman, was meticulous, demanding, and a stickler for rules.

Just breathe...

Natsuki waited outside by the Cafe's service entrance. Despite the piled crates and dumpster, there was no scent of garbage and it was surprisingly clean. Dressed in her complete uniform, from chunky, heeled Mary Janes to her lace cap pinned in her perfectly styled hair. If she smoked, Natsuki certainly would have finished off a pack or two by now, and it was only six-thirty in the morning. For all her confidence on the stage and on the sales floor, Natsuki felt stage fright settling in.

"I wonder if Shuura will even talk to me after this is all over," Natsuki mused, feeling the rising sun warm her cheeks. Closing her eyes, she took a moment to pull herself together.

User ImageEntry #14 :: Scimitar Moon
Title :: "Of Love Beyond Desire"
Song :: "Arabian Nights: Scimitar Moon" by Sarah Brightman

Since the night on the beach where Natsuki liberated Noor Jawahir from her cursed imprisonment, a change consumed the cafe owner. Countless hours passed, preening in front of mirrors, and the faintest hint of music, moved her body to dance. Her eye makeup grew darker, and accessories, especially those of gold or precious stones, quickly accumulated in her jewelry box. At times, her eyes looked silver, a drastic change from her familiar stormy grays. More and more people looked at her, and called out to her, as if she oozed charisma. She found herself having more and more dirty thoughts, especially around guys she knew, and yet she couldn't explain why. So many things didn't sense.

Curling up on the couch, Natsuki set about sipping a spicy chai tea and enjoying her homemade samosas. Looking at Noor's leather bound parchments on her book shelf, she figured it was as good a time as any to start back at the beginning, and start searching for answers to all her unanswered questions. She was particularly interested in why the djinneyeh was so desperate to be free. Crossing the room, she slowly pulled the large tome from the shelf. After leaving it there for so long, she had forgotten how much energy it took to lift the damned thing.

Toddling back over to the couch, she dropped down beside her, and it bounced several times before settling in place. Tracing the ornately crafted leather and the jeweled adornments, Natsuki slowly untied the binding, feeling a sorely missed connection to the djinneyeh. She wondered how Noor was faring in the soul bottle, and if Dr. Kyou and company were keeping her company. Drawing the cover open, her eyes fell upon the first page, and she remembered how relieved Noor was to pass her chronicles onto the young cafe owner.

The ink magically swirled on the page from Noor's beautiful cursive writing into legible, decipherable common text. Removing the first scroll, the color ink danced on the page, and as she read aloud, it painted the scenes in the margins.

Noor Jawahir's First Scroll
Her eyes sparkled brighter than pure moonlight. With tanned skin like the desert sand, and a body that rippled like the blinding mirages in a heat haze, ‘Samiya Dalal’, truly was an illuminated jewel glistening in the desert sand. Known secretly, as 'the sublime seductress', it was said that she was more a passionate lover than the hypnotic dancer of legend. Many believed her to be demonically possessed or a succubus in a human cage, for she oozed sensuality, desire, and greed. She knew of the weaknesses of men, and used her talents to take everything she wanted because she knew no one would or could stop her. However, she was also the Sultan’s daughter, Noor Jawahir, and her desire for things taboo, disturbed and upset her father. Yet, like any other man, the Sultan was powerless against her violet eyes.

Even with the exacting eyes of the court viziers, and the entourage of servants, Joor always found a way to get away to engage in the activities she wanted. Dancing. Seduction. Weapons. Love making. If her father forced her to sit through boring dinner, she found ways of entertaining his guests: to pay his regal guests a visit as ‘Samiya Dalal’ (the sublime seductress), the King’s most favored of dancers. Usually, she’d take a lucky party guest or three with her back to her quarters for a private dance, but not a single one of them knew her true identity. Many thought the young princess too fragile, as she always took her leave early from her father’s parties. However, the continual pattern of Noor’s disappearance and the arrival of Samiya, seemed all too convenient to the envious courtesans and wives of the Sultan. He was less than thrilled about the cyclone of rumors rapidly swirling around his one and only child. Her mother refused to believe the gossips, but her father learned long ago that a certain amount of truth can be sifted from lies.

Exploiting her own father’s weaknesses, she continued this charade for several years, until a wickedly heartless prince, Malik, arrived and demanded both Noor’s hand in marriage and control of all the lands of her family. Her father willingly exchanged her freedom to save his own and that of his wife. It was also at this time that Noor took a lover, Mas’ud, one of her personal man servants. Their affair was one of story book legend, the mighty princess and her lowly slave, but their late night dalliances put entire brothels to shame. Like the burning midday sun, their passion was constant and unyielding. Until one night, her husband made and unexpected appearance in her boudoir, and interrupted the lovers’ tryst… permanently.

In desperation to alleviate Noor’s possession by the consuming spirit of the succubus, her husband summoned a dark mage, as he knew no holistic healer would be able to pin point the weakness of the monster within her. Unbeknownst to King Malik, the dark mage, Qadir Naseer, was powerful and more capable than any other, however, he helped none save for himself. The tempestuous, young queen proved to be the lynch pin to arrogant king’s undoing. As directed, the servants of the king restrained and bound Noor to a large stone pillar in an empty chamber, and barred all the entrances, forbidding anyone to enter, including the king. Naseer’s justification was merely that performing exorcism was anything but a pleasant experience. Foolishly, the king honored every last demand made by the mage, believing that he wouldn’t be betrayed. Such was not the case.

Qadir chanted in guttural tones in a language none in the palace understood. The halls rang with Noor’s blood curdling screams, begging and pleading for someone, anyone to save her. Heavy clouds of incense swirled and churned as the dark mage ripped her soul from her body, transforming her into a being of fireless smoke, a marid; a djinneyeh. The incense burned outside the hall to help contain the soul, was poison, killing all whom inhaled it’s enchant and lethal perfumes. The king sold his soul in exchange for the liberation of Noor. However, the dark mage wasn’t mere mortal, but a bitter, malicious djinn in human shrouds. The spells he wove, released his tortured spirit and consumed the king’s body, making him human once more. In exchange, he transferred the curse of the djinn to Noor, binding her to a small tea decanter, so as to keep her for his own for eternity.

Noor violently lashed against the bonds, carving and slashing her body, but it was to no avail. No one would rescue her. Her screams fell upon deaf ears, as Qadir’s handiwork slain half the palace, while others fled for their lives, abandoning the Queen in the process. Violet eyes watched in horror as a smoky, crimson being formed before her eyes. Malevolent eyes, white at diamonds, stared back at her in equal horror. Queen Noor Jawahir never imagined in her wildest nightmare, that she would be able to see herself die and be reborn in the same instant. Ebony hair, black at the darkest night, mirrored her own, but across her new body black tattoos in Arabic, the cursed, Mephistophelean words of Qadir Naseer, swirled, burning themselves into her skin. Like a mirror image, the same words carved themselves into her corporal form, signing her soul away with her own blood.

In her last human breaths, Noor swore revenge upon Qadir, but it was her marid form which finished the sentence lingered on her corpse’s lips. Violet eyes rolled back into her head and her body hung limply from the ornately carved column. New life surged within her, as Noor’s rage erupted within her, like tumultuous volanco, as did new power. Licking her lips, she cast a venomous glare upon her captor, smugly stroking the lamp that imprisoned her. The tables were now turned: Qadir was mortal, and she was quite the opposite. With a breath, the incense dispelled with the speed of a lethal sandstorm. A flick of her slender finger, and the earth beneath them rumbled and quaked. The fire balls exploded from every oil lamp in sight. Qadir underestimated the wrath of the Queen, and in his human condition, was poorly matched against Noor Jawahir. His grave miscalculation and blinded by greed, gave her the upper hand.

"I wish…" Qadir screamed, feeling the wind rushing from his lungs as air grew thin.

"...that you'd thought faster," Noor Jawahir howled, raising her hands up high to the full moon and every last star in the sky. Thrusting her hands downward, the ceiling collapsed. The fierceness of the enraged djinneyeh leveled the palace, and the gorgeous gardens and oasis surrounding it. Her battered lamp laid among the ruins, and inside she cried herself to sleep. There she rested peacefully, until a new master came to claim her.

The scroll slipped itself free and returned to its place in the book. Natsuki's head swam from the images that transpired on the page right before her eyes, as they ingrained themselves in her memory as well. Like a spell, it pierced her heart and soul and everything Noor felt, Natsuki did as well. As the binding snapped itself shut, Natsuki jolted away, as if snapped out of a trance. Shaking her pounding head, she hoisted the book up and placed it back on the book shelf. She lumbered down the hallway punk drunk from the images swimming in her head. Natsuki needed a glass of wine and a long soak in the bath, for she had a feeling tshe should have been more careful what she wished for.

Nearby, an unattended beach blanket in a rainbow of colors waited beneath the shade of a palm tree. A messenger bag, sandals, and a towel awaited the return of their owner. However, Natsuki would make them wait a bit longer. The summer sunshine charged her battery, as she ran along the coastline, salt water breaking at her feet. Day in and day out, she worked her feet to the bone, but unlike the long days at Cafe Jubilee, the shop owner could enjoy the sensation of sand and water massaging and refreshing her feet.

Short terry cloth shorts and a matching zip up jacket in pale gray complimented her petite figure. Her morning runs contributed to her new bikini body, sunkissed highlights, and beach glow. Her long red ponytail bobbed in sync with her pace, in time with the music fueling her gait. Dark sunglasses shielded her stormy gray eyes from the sun glinting off the crests. Finally returning to her starting point, her beach blanket, Natsuki rubbed the back of her neck, and clicked her music player off.

A soft smile crossed her lips when she noticed that Aphismet found his way to her favorite beach, and he wasn't alone. Rivener, one of the raevans she liked least was in tow, as well as two other individuals, whom she didn't know; from the looks of it, another raevan and possibly another guardian. Taking her time, she wrapped her headphones around the music player and tucked it into her bag. She stripped off her jacket, revealing a colorful halter style bikini top in a flurry of vivid colors. Stretching again, she unceremoniously dropped the jacket atop her bag, and proceeded to draw her long hair up into a bun, fastening it in place with a couple of hairpins.

"Hey Aphismet, finally got a chance to take a vacation?" Natsuki called out, as she walked over to the group slowly. Recalling their last, albeit brief conversation, she really didn't get much of a chance to talk to the fellow raevan owner. However, she did avert disaster by intervening in his heated discussion with Julian, a situation she still couldn't make head or tails of. "What brings you up to my hometown of Isle de Gambino today? Family outing?" she asked, politely nodding to the motley crew of four.

She knew family was an odd choice of word, but after seeing the interaction with other raevans and their guardians, there simply was no better words to describe it.

Quote:
Natsuki hung up the phone completely bewildered. Her heart jumped up and down like a fifteen year old school girl when she saw Dr. Tsu's phone number on the cafe's caller ID. However, the voice on the other end had been his brother, Dr. Kyou. With the Lab still in shambles, and Kyou forced to shack up with his brother and work out their apartment, he called upon her to help assist in storage and transport of fel essences and soul bottles. Compounded with the fact that the Lab Assistant, Chloe & her raevan, Roux were staying at the manager's house, this made Natsuki the ideal go-between. She agreed without a second thought, promising 'The Boys' desserts whenever she'd stop by to make her deliveries.

Naturally, it's all about location. Money. Timing.

As the servers milled around the main floor area, Natsuki was hard at work filling orders at the bar and making sure everything was running smoothly. With the assistance of her intern, Shuura, busy weekends were surprisingly less stressful. Seeing an unfamiliar face at the door, she washed her hands, pulled on her white gloves and advanced quickly, but elegantly to the door.

"Welcome to Cafe Jubilee," Natsuki said, with a brilliant smile and a gleam on her glasses. "How may we serve you today?"

Title :: "You're frozen-- when your heart's not open..."
Song :: "Frozen" by Madonna

RP Type:: Private RP
Location:: Roux's Room at Natsuki's House (in IdG)
Featuring:: Rivener

Status :: COMPLETE

Quote:
Natsuki sat slumped against the wall; her face wet with chilled tears. It was Dr. Kyou's worried phone call that brought her home to Roux's snow globe and no trace of Chloe to be found. The summer heat beat down on the windows, yet the icicles stubbornly lingered like dredges of winter frantically clinging to spring. Work had kept her from brewing troubles at home, unbeknownst to the young cafe manager, it came to a head when she least expected it?on just another ordinary summer afternoon.

"Why… why did this happen?" Natsuki wept, gray eyes misty and distant. Her skin blistered from the deep freeze with the room, and her back ached from the shoveling of snow and mopping of water. She rejoiced when Chloe and Roux moved into her large four bedroom house because it made life that much more exciting and that large house a lot less empty. However, the tables turned again, and she was left with a incomplete puzzle. "Where did you go, Chloe?"

The ice progressively melted, leaving her with the same arduous labor, day in and day out. Along with running the cafe, passing out missing person flyers, cleaning up the house was taking its toll on her. She lumbered into Roux room again, dragging her fingertips wearily against the frosted window panes. Splaying her fingers, she laid her hands against the glass, the ice soothed her aching palms. The room's frigidness lacked the anger and frustration inherent in most of Roux's temper tantrums. The aura oozed with sadness and loneliness. The Roc's hands clasped over his heart, reaffirmed Natsuki's presumption.

Eyes burning from her tears, Natsuki stepped closer to Roux's icy cocoon. She stroked the ice affectionately, like a mother smoothing the wrinkles out of her child's shirts. Rising to her tip-toes, she pressed her lips against the ice above Roux's forehead. Looking at the window, she sat in the corner on an icy stool and waited. Someone had been breaking into her house in the middle of the night, and sleep deprivation was becoming unbearable.

Work. Work. Work. It seemed like the only thing she did was work. Work at the cafe. Work at home tending to Roux's condition. Work for Dr. Kyou in Chloe's absence. The red head decided her candle was broken in several pieces and burning from every which end. After her heart to heart with Aphismet's raevan, Rivener, she was feel marginally better than she had in the wake of Chloe's disappearance. However, the Cafe Owner simply hadn't rebound to her normal, cheerful self.

The cafe was used to a wide and unique variety of clientele, but when a young lady entered with something resembling a cat with tenticals, the cafe operations came to a grinding halt. This displeased the woman who prided herself on elite customer service and refined manners. Taking matters into her own hands, she stalked past the whispering statues that were her wait staff, and gave them a grave glare. Instanteously, they all snapped to, realizing that they would receive quite the tongue lashing after the cafe doors closed for the night.

"Welcome to Cafe Jubilee! We've been expecting you," Natsuki said, taking a deep curtsy and plucking up a couple of menus. Motioning to the staircase, she gave the woman an apologetic smile. "Unfortunately, out main floor is full, so if you don't mind, I would like to offer you and your little friend tea under the stars on our moonlit, rooftop garden? Would that be all right?"

Natsuki paced back and forth throughout her house. It felt so empty aside from the times Rivener chose to stop by and visit Roux, but even then it was the raevan's private time, so she never intruded. In all her exhaustion, she unwittingly prepared dinner for three individuals, and being one not to waste a perfectly good meal, she picked up the phone and rang up We'rika's apartment.

"Hey, We'rika, it's me... Natsuki," she said as her words oozed exhaustion and she took a set at the kitchen table full of food. "I sort of made way too much food for dinner, and I was wondering if you and Sevillin would like to come over... and keep me company."

She didn't want to mention being lonely, especially since she knew We'rika and Sevillin could possibly not know about Chloe's disappearance. There was something comforting about the Huichol's presence, especially when he went out of his way to make her smile. She bit her lip nervously, hoping his answer would be a positive one.

The wall shook violently, and Natsuki bolted straight up on her bed at the sound of a thunderous crack. Her eyes flew the window, but it was another clear and starry night, without a single rain cloud in the sky. Flinging herself out of bed, she scrambled out of her room, half dressed. Heavy footfall pounded the wood flooring as she dashed down the hall, and down the stairs, throwing doors open, left and right, in order to find the source of the disturbance.

"What in the sam hell, could that noise have been?" Natsuki said, flipping light switches on and off, scanning the house in a rather systematic fashion. No broken pipes, no busted windows or walls. The office: Clear. Dining Room: Clear. Chloe's Room: Clear: Nothing. A chill ran down her spine, what if someone else realized that she was housing Roux, and they attempted to kidnap him. Chloe would never forgive her, and with Roux's delicate condition, moving him could only lead to disaster! Without hesitating, she flung the door to Roux's room wide open, and lunged inside.

The sopping wet carpet shot icicles through her feet and up her spine. Remnants of the busted ice cocoon laid strewn everywhere, and in the center of the room, Rivener floated, with Roux's body limp in his arms. "Oh my god, R-r-oux..." she gasped, clambering barefoot across the ice in nothing save a cotton and eyelet nightie with gray ribbon accents. Though the room was considerably warmer than previously, the lingering ice still kept the room nice and cold. "Riv... how did you..." Natsuki said, breathlessly, waving her arms at the bed. "Let's lay him down, okay?" Slipping past them, she grabbed the comforter and snapped the bits of ice free and fluffed the damp pillow. It was the best she could do for the time being.

Sleepless and restless nights. How many had passed since the night her house got turned upside down? Her body ached everywhere, but on the upside, all the ice and snow that coated Roux's room was finally melting outside in the yard. At least the garden would be able to go without watering for a while. Unfortunately, the cafe owner's beautifully manicured nails and soft hands were bandaged tightly, almost to her elbows: callouses, blisters, frostbite, and cuts from all the shards of ice in varying degrees of pink and red, made the woman look more like a leper than someone who should be handling foods.

Despite all his visits to Roux's room, Rivener couldn't be bothered to help Natsuki tend to his room. Only Roux mattered to him, and she was merely his temporary keeper, and the one person who could pose as an obstacle for him. Despite all her countless nights of clearing his room and tending to his condition, the icy raevan hadn't acknowledged her with so much as a thank you. Guilt consumed her, as she resented the mounting situation before her. Chloe was still no where to be found, and now she was stuck housing two raevans, neither of which recognize her as an authority figure, despite one guardian being missing in action and the other one potentially dangerous. She didn't sign on to be a charity house for delinquent raevans, nor did she enjoy the frustration and bitterness brewing and seething within her.

None of the pieces of the puzzle fit together. Too many of the pieces were missing, and Natsuki found the whole mess exasperating. She had no one to talk to about the situation as the one person, she wanted to turn to was deemed 'broken' by his own charge. The last thing she wanted was more drama, and yet, she wanted closure and answers. She wanted Chloe and Parfait home again, so they could be a happy family again. Natsuki liked happy. It made life so much more enjoyable.

Staring at the ceiling with heavily lidded eyes, Natsuki tried counting everything she could to fall asleep: sheep, deserts, gwee, things she would do to Tsu next time she saw him, but nothing seemed to work. Her body was exhausted, but her mind still raced and reeled. Roux had awakened, at least that was something, right? Her train of thought derailed as a soft crying echoed through the empty courtyard outside the house. It was a voice that Natsuki hadn't heard in ages. "It couldn't be..." Natsuki gasped, throwing off her blankets, and jumping out of bed. Snatching her bathrobe from the back of her door, she hurried down the stairs, her pace quickening as the mewling grew louder and louder.

She'd recognized the voice. Chloe's baby gwee, Parfait. Reaching the front door, she wrenched it open to find the little dragon in tears on the porch. "PARFA--" was as far as the young woman got before, sweeping the little one into her arms and cradling her like a baby. Anxiously, she searched the courtyard for Chloe, as with little knowledge of gwee, she didn't think Parfait could make it home on her own. "Chloe? Chloe! CHLOE?!? Are you here?" Her heart raced, beating heavily against the little dragon.

Cleaning. Any time Natsuki was stressed out, she took to cleaning her apartment. After collapsing in the kitchen and awaking to find Roux missing, the cafe manager was thoroughly prepared to throw in the proverbial towel. Until, she was given an assignment by Dr. Kyou. Luka, like Sevilin before him, had become an orphan, and the staffed needed to rehome him. Chuckling at her new station, as the halfway home for abandoned raevans, Natsuki polished ever surface in her house until it gleamed in a high class, hospital grade of sanitary.

"What on earth am I going to do with this guy, Shoopie?" Natsuki asked, wiping glass cleaner on a picture collage of her favorite cousin. Unlike their cookie-cutter, socialite clones whom they regarded as relations, Shuhei had an inexplicable edge which the redhead adored, and since they were children, she protected him as if he were her younger brother. She smiled, stroking the glass affectionately, when the sly mischievous grin of her younger cousin struck her brain like a bolt of lightning. "It would be quite an unusual match up, but knowing you, you'd take to him in no time, Shu..."

Picking up the phone, she rang up Shuhei. Lounging on the couch in her pajamas, she listened to the dial tone with one ear, and Luka's brave attempt at playing the panpipes with the other. Closing her eyes, she focused all her strength into the phone, begging him to answer his damn phone. Good thing she had Shuhei's favorite dessert in the refrigerator. Their conversation would most likely turn into a rather, bizarre one quite quickly. "Hey Shoopie, its me," she said into the receiver. "Feel like coming over for a bit. Gotta a favor to ask you."

Natsuki
Since her collapse, Natsuki lightened her workload. With the money rolling in, regardless of her being present or not at work, she decided to take a week off, to get healthy again before returning to the grindstone. Leaving her cafe in the unbelievably capable hands of her staff, Natsuki enjoyed the changing of the seasons, lounging on her sofa reading a book and listening to some soothing music. Even with music and Parfait curled up in her basket on the floor, the house still felt empty. The cafe owner could only talk to a Gwee for so long without worrying about going crazy.

Her mind was pulled from the smutty trashiness of her romance novel when the sounds of someone rapping on the door, snapped her from her daydream. Lusty thoughts and the dashing, shirtless doctor would have to wait for another time, it seemed. Placing her bookmark in between the pages, Natsuki slipped off the couch, and shuffled her fluffy slippered-feet down the hall to the front door. When she peered out from the window beside the stained-glass front door, her eyes narrowed before softening in relief. "Well, look who finally came home?" She said, releasing a deep sigh and flipping the deadbolt off the door. Drawing the large door in, she crossed her arms exactly like Roux's and leaned against the door frame. Lighter bandages covered her arms, but obscured fading cuts and healing burns.

"Nice to see that you remembered where the house is," she said in a flat tone. Her gray eyes peered down at him, as she rubbed the bandage above her brown, attempting to collect her thoughts. She didn't outright demand an explanation why the icy raevan disappeared while she was unconscious and bleeding from the head in the kitchen, but she wasn't going to make his belated return home a simple one. Without Chloe present to take care of him, Natsuki was left the responsible adult figure for him. "Care to tell me where you have been?" the vibrant redhead inquired, without moving from the door frame to let him pass.

Natsuki would return home to find her front door completely... unlocked. The power out, and the phone lines severed as well - if she would go back to investigate she'd find the lines almost delicatly cut. A window, ground level and previously thought too small for someone to squeeze through, or even try, smashed. In the basement, at the control box for her brand new security system the computer would be opened with the use of bolt cutters, the battery neatly taken out and placed beside the mechanism, the wires within cut.

If she searched the entire house she'd find -nothing- missing.

Her own bedroom door would be left open... perhaps she'd think 'Didn't I shut that?' and upon enterance she'd find a letter laid out neatly on her pillow, the same magazine letter pasted on white paper format that Aphismet had gotten in his own home. Rather than a picture accompanying them, however, were Chloe's glasses folded neatly.

The underlaying message to it all was very obvious, dark enough to cause the most controlled person's stomach to twist in anxiety.

You are not safe from me.
