He sighed and rubbed at his muzzle. Kaleb just needed to remember that Reno was like that and would do that crap. Not like that was going to happen any time soon.
"Just ...... gimmie one of those kisses." If he could occupy himself with the chocolate for a bit he could calm down.

Kaleb blushed a bit and passed Riley the little heart-shaped box, biting his lip as he glanced over at him. Maybe the chocolate would make him feel better, and he could stop being angry at him.

He pulled out one of the chocolates and after unwrapping it popped it in his mouth. "....where'd ya get these anyway?" It probably wasn't good that he was eating chocolate that someone else got his partner. "Didn't think ya had anyone ya like. Some girl ya work with got a crush on ya?" He really shouldn't feel jealous of some unnamed girl but he almost was.

Kaleb blushed and fidgeted more, although this time it was a more flustered behavior than a miserable and anxious behavior. "Th-the secretary a-at the hospital gave them to me," he stuttered, taking one from the box for himself, and toying with it instead of unwrapping it. He still felt bad for his mistake, and not even chocolate could tempt him to eat when he felt bad.

"Ahh ..." That meant she was probably Kaleb's age and cute. At least that was better than Reno. Someone being a secretary at a hospital was bound to not be that much of a whore.

Kaleb blushed a bit more at Riley's tone of voice. "Sh-she's always been really nice to me, e-even when I got lost on my first day at work," he continued quickly, smiling a bit. "She always tells me she wishes I were her grandson."

He almost choked on his chocolate. "She's old?!?" Old ladies weren't usually secretaries they usually worked somewhere else out of the public eye. Then again he was just used to Rufus front desk people and all of them were rather young and nice looking.

Kaleb looked up with a confused and somewhat alarmed expression. "A-are you okay?" he asked quickly. "D-did you need a drink or something?" He didn't know why Riley was so surprised, there were a lot of older people working or volunteering at the hospital.

"Yea ... yea .. fine." He shook his head and swallowed the chocolate. Okay so he didn't have to worry about some cute little girl at Kaleb's other job sneaking in valentines. "Don't need a drink"

"You should really be more careful," Kaleb said, finally unwrapping his own chocolate and sticking it in his mouth. It wasn't anything special or expensive, just plain chocolate, but he enjoyed it immensely.

He scrunched his nose and leaned back against the couch. He just needed to stop thinking about stuff. It was just the damn holiday that was getting to him that's all.

Kaleb glanced over at Riley out of the corner of his eye, watching his expressions and putting it together with his earlier questions and reactions. "D-don't worry, girls don't like me like that," he said, playing with another chocolate.

"How do ya know? I mean ya don't notice half of the things Reno says that are dirty." There could be tons of girls that liked Kaleb like that and the poor mage wouldn't notice.

Kaleb blushed brightly and adjusted his glasses. "I-I'm not exactly the most strong or attractive guy out there. Girls don't like bookworms so much." He was too scrawny, too close to his books, and he had never thought of himself as attractive even after being told so by Tseng.
