Snowlight Silent Night ArGetLaM - Silver Palm Urgals! i think at least during the part where eragon searched Nar Garsvlog's (sorry cant spell) mind for treachary (god damn, i suck) he remembers something about his village being in the spine.....maybe the urgals killed galbatorix's army? if urgals did kill galbatorix then some one would have seen them brom said half hes army went in there and disappeared. But eragon went in there many times and so did brom. Even the village went in there and they got out, mostly alive. so i say what ever's most be agaist galbatorix unless it was just luck that galbatorix army was found and killed and eragon, brom and the village just manage to avode them True. Not to mention the Urgals were allied with Galbatorix at the time too. So obviously it's not Urgals. Sone of a gun... What if they're, other Razac?

True, which means if there were Razac in there, they would've eaten all of Culhaven anyway... Could it be.... Nay I dare say it?

THe Urgals theory makes some sense. After all, the Urgals were held in thrall by Durza, I believe? And then a group of them joined the Varden to fight against Galbatorix at the end of Eldest.
Maybe it's a wild dragon living in the Spine (Did someone already say that?)? I don't think it's likely two dragons and their riders escaped Glaby's notice.
As to th theory of Galbatorix's troops just getting lost ... possible. I wouldn't say likely. Obviously, most of the Empire's troops are less than willing, and some were surely woodsmen or hunters, perhaps they deserted?

Okay guys, I just had another brainwave. I think Sloans wife was pushed. It says she fell from the Igualda Falls, In the spine: Garrow Sloan's wife, Ismira, went over the Igualda Falls a year before you were brought here. So mabey whatever is hiding in the spine isn't of good spirit but infact despises all but itself!

That is either on Helgrind or in Uru'baen.

Reader OV Eragon Baulder Du Freohr Skulblaka Okay guys, I just had another brainwave. I think Sloans wife was pushed. That is either on Helgrind or in Uru'baen. But why those two places? Just because of their names? Think about it. Galbatorix lead an entire army into the Spine, and they never returned. What if Galbaorix wasn't leading the army into the Spine for war, but to be sacrificed into the Vault of Souls? It seems rather perfect to me.

I never thought of it that way, Baulder ... It's possible the Vault of Souls is in the Spine...
But then why would Galbatorix be afraid of it, if he's harnessing its power? Also, it was out to us as if the disappearance of his soldiers contributed to, if not caused, that fear.

Also, it was out to us as if the disappearance of his soldiers contributed to, if not caused, that fear. Well, there are a number of possiblities. For one thing, I could be wrong about Galbatorix intentionally sending his army there to be sacrificed, and he isn't actually harnessing it's power. It's just there. Or, what I feel is much more likely, Galbatorix does not fear the Spine. After all, the rumor that Galbatorix fears the spine is, just that, only a rumor.

Baulder, I dont think it's just a rumour. I like to think of Galbatorix as a big p***y. It'll make it easier for eragon to beat him!
eek BRAINWAVE! In the final battle eragon will fly over the spine to make it easier for him to kill Galbatorix!

Heh, a biased view. Yet, it's amazing how such a Biased view inspired such a very valid point. Yes, I believe that may be the key to Eragon's victory....
