"Your..."
Kalis blinked.
That... nope, didn't fix it, he still didn't quite get it.
"Your... beloved?"
He blinked again.
That... no, it didn't make sense that time either.
Well... I fought a couple women in the HoH, but I hardly hurt them enough to be upset about much less 'crimes'... I destroy a lot of property, but most of it is my own...
I really don't recognize this guy, so... either he's off his rocker for sure or...
His beloved could be... no.... EEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWW-!
"I think you might have hit your head pretty hard... I... don't think I know you..."
His hands itched. There was one thing he could do, it was blatantly obvious, but... let it sit a little... see if maybe...
"You must have mistaken me for someone..."
His hands itched, sweating, but he left them unmoving yet, grip firm on them. His eyes were intent... well, unfocused seeming really. The were looking at opaj's eyes, since looking away was a sign of lying, but they were following back over the extended arm to it.
He could stop being violent this time, right?

"Don't mock me!"
opaj's eye twitched. "You start this fight, and now you babble at me with this nonsense?"
He tightened the grip on his blade with his left hand, letting his right come to about stomach-level, hand poised to take action if necessary.

Kalis stared down the blade letting out one long, slow breath.
Well, he's got a sword to your throat, best not to argue with him, but... in a moment he's probably going to get persistant, so...
He frowned sympathetically. The guy was nuts, and one or both of them was probably about to get hurt. And having a nice look over of him while they got to know each other better- at blade point- he'd noticed the line of blood. One more thing to remember.
"I'm sorry, but I told you."
His eyes travelled slowly from where they were, back to this man's eyes again.
Ready... steady... and....
"-but they're aliens!"
He threw his upper torso back and to the side, one foot sliding around as he not so much sharp turned but stumbled to his left, throwing his weight forward to put his shoulder next to the flat of the blade, slamming his sheath down along the katana and twisting to keep him pulling it loose. Twisted sideways first to lock the blade in place, then upward to force the man to stand on tippy toes to try and get high enough to pull it out. Which wasn't going to happen, but Kalis had one other thing handy.
The heavy buckled strap from his sheath came down fast, heavy metal clip striking the hand holding the sword like a small flail, or really heavy whip. As soon as he got it out of the smaller man's grip, he pulled that arm away to keep it from him, stumbling backward as he guessed that the other blade was about to come out.
He had just one more trick up his sleeve before he went back to making it up as he went.

"Hey--!" opaj's blade was torn from his hand.
Instead of going back for his blade, though, he closed the distance between him and Kalis, grabbing for the man's whipping hand with his right. He wouldn't give Kalis enough room to draw opaj's katana.

Kalis, stopped stumbling backward- and instead, he dropped the sheath and katana, and slumped forward, leaning his weight all of a sudden over opaj.
Just flopped right over top of him, almost draping himself over. The other free hand, whether it had to twist across or just go was going for opaj's belt- but not do draw his other katana.
In a swift motion, he unbuckled opaj's belt, and wipped it out, letting the sheathed katana fall right to the ground.
Which... really meant there was almost nothing he could do... except...
He leaned all the more forward, and lifted his legs off the ground- using his full body weight to drag opaj onto the ground. All he need to do was get him down for a moment so he could have enough space, and...
The free hand would start tickling opaj's stomach quite fervently as Kalis tried to just stay slumped over him enough until the man was helpless in a giggling fit. If his other hand got free, he'd go all out, trying other spots like the armpits with that too.

Gritting his teeth, opaj succeeded in grabbing Kalis' left hand. As the man fell forward, opaj looped his other arm around the bigger man's underarm and stepped in, turning so that his back was partially turned to Kalis. Using his hip as a pivot, he attempted to flip Kalis over his back.

And in his state, there was nothing he could do about it.
Kalis felt his arm pulled on and he went up, legs kicking wildly as he went up, over, and down again. He wasn't really aiming to do much- he had no time to think to do so.
I'm-!
Rather, it all came out in a single lucky hit, a four pound boot to the back of the head, steel-reinforced heel slamming onto the back of the man's head as Kalis went over him and slammed onto the ground hard.
"-ugh!"
I'm done if I can't-
But there wasn't anymore. Adrenaline rush had allowed him to go from utterly pathetic state to a somewhat less pathetically weak state, but he was still shaking and vulnerable. He already knew that only a miracle could get him out of this without that man grabbing a sword and running him through while he struggled up.
He was out of options.

"Ugh!" opaj replied, the boot smacking into the back of his head. He ended up coming down on all fours above Kalis, stunned into silence.
Ba-bump, ba-bump.
Face to face with the larger man, the sound of his own heartbeat filled his ears. Frozen looking into the other man's eyes, opaj couldn't move from the shock.
Of the boot.
What?

Kalis stared. It was absurd. He'd gone all his life knowing miracles weren't real. He'd been proved it again and again in his earlier life, when he failed in his later, and bitterly told himself that all he could do might not be enough with that line in the Vale, but...
Tch... heheheheh... heheheheh...
His arms were pinned under, unable to reach around and get a good enough grip. Desperately digging his elbows in, Kalis bared his teeth, eyes going wild as he forced himself up.
This was his one chance!
Hahahahaha-!
The teeth clamped hard on the marble, and he dropped his elbows out, pulling his neck back and letting wieght pull him down. Feeling the marble stick, stick, stick-
Hahah- one shot at life, take it or leave it-!
And it came loose.
Kalis jarred his head, slamming it on the ground again, almost dropping the marble out of his teeth and swallowing it.
I'm alive! Ha! Hahahahaha!
Kalis Acineres had been given a miracle.
Kalis Acineres was alive.
And he was pretty damn happy about it too.

The touch of Kalis' lips on opaj's skin! It could only mean one thing! opaj's eyes fluttered. With the marble no longer fueling him, he found he had no energy of his own left, and passed out--right on top of the other swordsman. And in came the exhausted, dead on hsi feet soldier. Leading the pack from the gate to the facility...
From here, he turned foward, glancing at a map in his hands. Each step he took was painful. And if this didn't bear fruit, he was going to go HOLY SMITE on that "Guide"...

Eileen winced in sympathy for Ikari while following behind him. Lyendi Knightstar was with them too, keeping quiet for the most part as well. If only the Circle of Justice Headquarters weren't so out of the way by this time. Eileen opened her mouth to ask if they shouldn't go back after all, but retracted her outstretched hand and turned it to grasp the doll riding on her shoulder instead.

He soldiered on. Spirit drove exhausted, tired muscles, and gave him the energy to keep on going as he turned north.
Heading towards the Reclamation Hub...
