"Very good," the woman said, writing another note. She smiled at the boy, waiting for him to finish both piles.

Halcyon continued to bond the sugar molecules, and only the sugar ones until he had a giant, misshapen ball of sugar. With that finished he repeated with the salt, first getting a feel for the feel of the salt, and figuring out how to get them to bond before he repeated it on the salt. Once he had finished with the salt ball. He smiled at his teacher, and promptly fell over unconcious.
He was exhausted from exerting so much power and still being untrained in managing it properly, overstraining himself.

Biting back a sigh the woman pulled Halycon over to a cot in the far corner of the room. Setting him down, she pulled out a book and waited for the boy to wake up. Class wasn't over yet. Part of learning his power was learning the limits and if he was going to push until he passed out... He'd have to learn how to tell when he was at the end of his energy and speak up about it. Besides, Gwyn still had to assign homework.

Cordain made his way into the class as he looked at Gwyn, "He passed out?" he gave a shrug as it was more an observation than anything else. His steps carried him over to a chair where he promptly seated himself and smiled at Gwyn.

The woman pointed sharply at the door. "Class is not yet over. We'll get you when it is." Interruptions were not taken kindly and the older woman glared at Cordain.

Cordain looked at the woman coldly, "I'm sorry, am I supposed to be a bad parent and not tend to my child, adopted or otherwise when they pass out?" He stated acidically to the woman. Arms folded across his chest.

"I'm sorry," the woman retorted back mimicking the man, "Am I supposed to be the teacher? If so, I should certainly think I am capable of running a class in my discipline." And, she implied with a look, tending to the students. She kept her finger pointed at the door, waiting for him to leave. Parents. She did not take meddling kindly and the sort he had to have done to moniter Halycon that closely could very well be dangerous. The room was shielded for a reason after all.

He watched her and said in a cold tone, "If anything happens to my son I will hunt you down and you will not be found for a century...I'll make sure of it." he made his way out and leaned against the wall.
Halcyon was out cold, barely breathing as he laid there, unmoving, unwaking.

A roll of the eyes. Honestly. At least the kid didn't seem as overly dramatic as the parent. Gwyn monitered the child, keeping him warm and making sure his vitals didn't slip.
Other than that she just waited for him to wake up.

It took hours, eight or so actually before he woke up groggy, "Ixy tki afo nicoa katash?" He muttered out, his voice stopped as he looked around and mumbled, "Oh...Father's not here...wait..." he was suddenly sitting up straight in shock.

"You're still at class." The woman nearly shoved a plate of food (stolen hot and fresh from a certain doctor's desk). "Passed out from using too much energy. Eat and we'll finish discussing the class."

Halcyon nodded his head slowly as he began to eat his food, he didn't seem to mind that it was hot and didn't ask where it came from, "Has my father eaten? He can sometimes get too caught up to remember to eat if he's not reminded."

Halcyon nodded his head slowly, "Then I better be going, I have a study session on the history of his people in an hour. It does not do well to be late for a first class and we've gone well past the time we alloted for my first class. When should I come back to continue?"

Gwyn glared at the student. It was the youngster's own fault they ran so late and it was presumptuous of the boy to decide when class was over. If he decided to walk out, well, she would just fail him.
"An hour is plenty of time to wrap up the class," the woman replied tartly. "There are still things we need to discuss. First is exhausting yourself."
