Lets see, my first experience with Shonen-Ai was way back in ninth grade. I had been an anime fan since seventh and had recently convinced Dad to get a new computer with an internet connection. I was doing a Google search for Yu-Gi-Oh! when I found the Yu-Gi-Oh! section of FF.net. The first story I read there was a Seto/Anzu, and I was completely hooked on that for a while.
Then one day, I stumbled across a fanfiction that sounded interesting, but didn't list the pairing in the summary. It turned out to be a Bakura/Ryou. I was absoulutely hooked. I knew I probably shouldn't tell my friends about my obssesion, so I didn't.
A few weeks later, I was over at a friends house, reading her Anime Insider. I came across an article on a manga called Fake, and found out that my obsession was called shonen-ai. That summer, while on a church trip, I saw the first two volumes of Fake and bought them.
Another one of my friends found my hidden Fake stash and they all were gradually converted to loving shonen-ai as long as it was canon. They still don't know about my fanpairings, but I think their starting to suspect.
And that is my entirely too long story of how I became a shonen-ai fan. (Fake was also my first Yaoi manga, which started another loooooong descent, but that's another story)

Squall X Seifer in FF8 was the first thing I seen.

My first exposure to slash was when I was reading a lot of Rurouni Kenshin fic (oh, 5 years or so ago). I was kinda squicked at the time, because it doesn't work so well with those characters. My enjoyment of it started after discovering X, Tokyo Babylon and Yami no Matsuei...actually, sakura-crisis (which I discovered while looking for info on Yami) has a lot to do with my current Yaoi addiction.

Much more interesting than mine. I found it with a friend while online at her house and neither would confess to liking it. She has since converted three girls to yaoi fandom, I two girls and together five girls and a guy. Yay for fandom!!

I still find the majority of HP slash creepy (actually, I find a lot of non-slash HP creepy too), with the sole exception of Remus/ Sirius. I don't really like shota or non-con, and the whole "they hate each other and therefore must want to screw passionately" thing (Draco/Harry for this fandom) has never worked well for me. I guess I'm boring...I tend to like my slash canon friendly.

There was a Harry Potter story on fanfiction.net that I wanted to read that I didn't realize was slash and I read it and then I just couldn't stop reading that stuff. I'm addicted to it now.

To tell you the truth i cant remember...I think it was a gradual transition into the world of yaoi and such...
But i think the first was some dbz slash.
The i went out and got hold of fake by accident and fell in love with it.
the i fell into gravitaion and its remixs...(which i havent got all of yet sweatdrop )
Then legal drug...nice but sweet.
