Comrade Clara I'd like the sound effects translated, but that can sometimes mess up the page. So untouched with a little caption next to them probably works the best.

I don't really read the sound effects. If anything, I like the glossary in the back so if I have to I can look it up, but I usually don't care as long as the art hasn't been disturbed.

left alone with little translations near by. having a glosery in the back would be alittle anoying because you have to go back and forth.

I am going to have to say Japanese. Not really because I don't care to see how the sound effect reads... Just that editing the artwork to fit the lettering in in English can badly damage the experience. I've seen some bad, bad edits.
I choose not to see those again.
Of course is somebody is volenteering to do a good job...

Soundeffect are mandatory of course. They put the story together and make it more realistic. That is what I enjoy in the mangas that I read.

I don't mind it if the sound effects are in English or in Japanese. I like them in English because that is my native language, but I don't like it if it is in Japanese and it has captions because I can actually read the katakana, so it is irritating. I would rather have a glossary at the back, if anything. If forced to make one choice I think that it should be in English, because that is what more people will understand and sound effects are an important part of comics. Most non-Japanese speakers won't understand the meaning of "don", but if you say, "ta-da" it makes more sense. I like it better that way too, it's a personal preference.
