Erae walked over to where Willow was, and then unzipped Willow's bag, dragging out the board game. "Oooh, what's this?" He smiled at Willow, actually a bit fond of her ever since they had been together in Gambino's huge mansion that blew up.

*Willow smiled, it was the game of life. [yeah okay you can shoot me later, or change the name I just came up with something random] She could play that game. Her tail twitched and she looked at erae in sorta a cute-begging sorta way, flashing a tigerish grin. She was wanting to play with the bigger velvets as well. And that was one of the few ways she could. With out hands everything else would be slightly harder. She knew atleast with cards 'cause LP tried to teach her go fish but she couldn't hold the cards and pick any up either.

Crossing his arms as he continued gazing out the window, Adrian said quietly, "It's a long story, and I don't even know or remember most of it." He glanced across the room, noticing how the velvets were grouped together. There was one thing he felt he knew: his only true companion had been Kanth. Even now, it seemed to be that way, though Kanth seemed to be... aloof in his dealings with him. He sighed and rested his head against the pane of glass, returning his gaze to the snowy streets outside. After this was all over, he realized he'd have to walk back to the shack on his own and try to get the ragged blankets warmed up again.
Curse him for making me come out on a night like this, he thought to himself bitterly.
((Eh-yup, I'm in EST. ^^; It really sucks.))

Moo was content just to watch from the sidelines. She was already a bit paranoid as to how eventful this party would turn out. After all, it wasn't often one was proposed to as soon as one arrived. ...Oh well! Leaving the others to their conversation, Moo glanced around the room, vaguely wondering if anyone had brought some champagne. This was a New Years/holidays party, after all...
"Ahh, no," Acia murmured, shaking her head. She really only knew one card game, and that was because she had played with Erae a long, long time ago. The glider was about to ask him to explain when both the skunk and tiger wandered off. Her eyes followed for a short while before curiosity got the better of her and she jumped to her feet, running after them. "What's that?"

Shard bowed to Moo slightly as she greeted him, before turning back to Kanth. "You could have at least managed to let me get Arden before you dragged me here..."
Shard's put-upon tone carried no anger, however. It had been too long since he had shown his face in the velvet shop. Quietly, he peered around the room, taking stock of it occupants. So many velvets... Arden needs to be here.
A quick glance told him all he needed to know about Adrian, for the moment. Outgoing and impulsive, he was almost Shard's polar opposite. Shard had spent most of the trip quietly, and it seemed that Adrian was dying to get some attention. Some female attention.
He turned to Moofuls, and greeted warmly. "Happy New Year, Moo. Has you and Acia been well?"

*Looking to moo she chuckled* What's wrong? 'fraid no one bought the booze? *she nodded to her bag.* I thought just incase, I might should keep some on me. There's some plastic cups wrapped up in there to. Couldn't afford glass. *she gave a soft shurg. Watching Adrian she tapped the glass.* Be better if it was raining out. *she said idly* Wouldn't you think? I mean really if one is gunna be gloomy all night you might as well have rain.
*Apon seeing this shard move she gave a soft nod hello. Finally he actully could do somthing she thought to herself. Though I still wonder what he and kanth were up to that night at the party as I snuck off. Turning back to Adrian.* So if you're suppose to be a prince, why then. Lemme as this, are you dressed as a pesant? Blew your richs in hong kong or somethin? To bold of me to ask this? Then just shurg it off not like you need to say much 'bout yourself. Your actions speak of themselfs.

"Life! Or so it says on the box. I don't know how to play, I've only played cards, Willow. We can try, though!" Erae sat down and opened the box, smiling as he spread out the pieces on the ground. "Marriage? Whazzat?" He looked at the cards, and then at the pink and blue people. Picking up the rules, he scanned through them. "Male and female, when you get married? Why can't it be male and male? Or female and female?" He went off into his own little world, muttering a small bit.
Kanth, having heard the conversation, coughed slightly as he blushed and looking down.

When she mentioned it would be better if it were raining out, Adrian said, "Yes, in a way, it would be better." He chose not to comment on the gloomy part of her statement.
The next thing she said left him hot under the collar, his gaze turning into a glare directed at nothing in particular. "It's none of your business," he finally ground out, pushing away from his spot on the wall. He had half a mind just to leave now, not that anyone would really care. Instead, he walked along the side of the store, perusing the shelves there. They were lined with stuffed animals of various kinds and colors. He glanced quickly at one of the price tags and turned away. "Blow your riches in Hong Kong or something?" I wish I even knew.
Good humor and bright grin gone, Adrian paced around the store with a sour expression, wondering why he'd even bothered to let himself be dragged here in the first place.

*willow watched erae and shurged. She didn't know either, she poked him softly with a claw and then took a paw and acted as if to scratch out male and female. If she could write she'd put do as you wish. Atleast that was how her and LP played.*
Well geezz I've found a weak spot.... *she paused and looked towards the velvets hearing erae* doesn't matter really, I do that part my way. jus don't pay attion to that minnor detail in the rule. Stuipd anyhow. Which the game was made back I dunno long time ago before they knew of such. *she figured that might would settle that matter.*
Sooooo anyone got a deck of cards? Willow's great at games, jus can't play cards and i've been wanting a good game of something.

Anastasia's guardian listened to LP's summary of her life, and replied, "Well... I'm glad you're doing better, nowadays. Seemed like you needed a friend, for a bit there."
Anastasia, meanwhile, was lost in the shuffle as the games were passed back and forth. She was glad they weren't playing cards, because she didn't know any card games... But she'd never played that game before, either.
Her companion grinned as he heard Erae's comment, and he leaned down to tell the young skunk, "The reason they go with male/female pairings for marriage is because the game includes potential for children. And the simplest means of acquiring children is through reproduction. So they just went with the most common theme. If you want more details... go ask your parent."
Anastasia didn't really track what was going on in that discussion, but she knew that tone of voice. "Erae," she warned, "you prob'ly don't want to ask that question..."
Pretending to ignore his mistrustful charge, Anastasia's companion turned back to LP and apologised, "I'm afraid I've got no cards on me... but there may be some around the shop, or in the back... If Iris or Naraka turns up, we can probably get some from them. What do you play? I'm passably good at euchre..."

*She gave a soft chuckle* Sorry.... *scratching the back of her neck and watching the velvets she pondered.* I dunno really just want a game of cards I dun care what we play. I've haven't really played cards in forever thou so as long as the rules are fairly easy I'll get the game quickly. Always do.
So how've you been ar? It's been ages it would seem, since I last saw you and ana.
