Her ears flattened as she butted her head against his as she'd seen the buffalo calves doing further out on the plains. It worked for them... It could work for her for the moment. "Ah'm not little... Ah'm... Petite." She snorted, glaring up at him once more. "Bein' a girl's not a limi-whatever you said."

"You are little. Deal with me" He laughed. "and no but a girl makes you things that boys arent. Can't be a boy so you shouldn't concentrate on 'not' being one."
He shook his head and shifted his weight on his legs. "Gotta deal with how ya are"

She pondered his words for a moment before nodding. She at least agreed with what he'd said about the whole 'being a girl makes you things that boys aren't'. Afterall, it meant she was smart. That was a plus.
"B'sides smart, what does bein' a girl make me?" Her brothers seemed to think that it made her weak and easily frightened. Maybe this older boy thought something different.

"I'm not a girl. How'm i suppose to know that?" He laughed again. He'd never met a girl that was the same as any that he'd met before so he couldn't make those sorts of generalizations.
"Girls are usually soft and kind and want to be taken care of but then again some of them are fiery and strong and ... well hard to deal with."

"That's right. You're a boy an' boys aren't supposed ta know nothin'." She nickered softly. What was this filly doing? Teasing him?
Of course she was. He wasn't all that different than her brothers... Just a little bit bigger and maybe a little bit smarter. Not much. Just a little. "Da says Ah'm gonna give some stallion a headache when Ah'm older an' Momma says there's no reason why a girl can't be soft an' kind an' take care of herself too."

"You probably already give your father a headache so i'd say you're already giving stallions problems." His tail swished behind him as he eyed her. "And boys know plenty. You start underestimating them they're going to sneak up on you and surprise ya"

"Ah don't give Da a headache." Her nose scrunched as she pawed at the ground. "Da says Ah'm a princess..." She nodded slowly before looking up to the stallion. "... Do Ah give you a headache, Nuka?"

Your whole family would probably give me a headache. He shook his head at his thought. "Brothers hurt everyone's heads. It's in their job description." He turned and looked back toward the river. "Should get home if they're going to come looking for you."

He shook his head and trotted off back toward the river. Silly little foal would probably get herself into trouble at least once. You never really learned until you almost had your a** handed to you.
