Sorry chief but I don't trust them in the least, and all the namedroping of the GIB it just seems like they're still trying to replace us.

Yes, I do not like it either.

oy what a copycat. rolleyes He just wants to do this cause he isn't in here. He's even trying to look like you. Bah. He'll never have me as a fangirl. I wouldn't bother with the group.

In my own personal opinion, they seem like a slightly n00bified knock off of the GIB. Like a bad Dior knockoff that writes "DIOR" "DIOR" "Ooh, I'm a DIOR" all over the material. Obviously fake, and not exactly always in good taste. (Not that are knockoff bags are bad. I own a few.)
(sorry, no offense meant to them. That wasn't very diplomatic.)

They seem unorganized to me.(partly because the word "literate" isn't spelled right in the rules demanding literacy.)The tone of their mission statement is overly defensive and a bit rude, and the GIB needs a lot of diplomacy after bad PR and rumors, etc.

I think we should politely decline a real alliance, but leave a door open for future possible collaboration if there is need for it in future plot updates.

Personally I'd decline, they seem disorganised and to be honest I don't really trust them. Someone who spends the majority of the time hating you suddenly wanting to be your friend isn't usually a good sign.

However, if we decline, then we may still have them as enemies.

Okay, I shall attempt to make some sort of written agreement, instead of a full-blown alliance.

judging by the link you posted, there aren't many followers in the guild, and it seems like something strewn together because someone was bored. i'm getting a feeling they aren't taking their own guild very seriously... and btw, are you sure they have a bunch of members? i'm just being cautious is all really...
According to their memberlist, there are around 100 members. (Oddly enough, the counter on their homepage says that there are over 1,000. 0_0)

O.o; interesting...

good point. so, why not at least try to gain friends/allies if the alternative might be having to deal with a whole guild as an enemy?

Okay, here is what I've put together. Tell me what you think.

Quote:
Terms of the Treaty:

1. A state of peace will exist between GIB and GIW. There will be no hostility between agents of GIB and GIW. If such hostility takes place, disciplinary action will be taken.

2. If war should break out between Gaians and Zurg, the GIB and GIW will work together to defeat the enemy and protect the people of Gaia.

3. However, both groups will use combat only as a last resort, and attempt to solve all conflicts diplomatically.

4. Agents from the GIB and GIW are encouraged to share intel on the Zurg between the two groups.

5. Agents from the GIW will not claim to be from the GIB. Additionally, they will not claim to have GIB support on any action they take unless it has been cleared with a GIB crew member. The agents of the GIB will show the same courtesy to the GIW.

6. The GIW will remove all references that insinuate that they are to replace the GIB (Such as the slogan "Soon to be your last line of defense").

Is there any way to decline without really declining? (Like a trial period for the alliance?) An answer could be worded so that on first glance, it seems like we're agreeing-- but really, not promising anything.

By the way, their leader in the GiB thread in Mothership right now. Hopefully not looking for an answer. XP
