Freaj Ceribri Lullabee Ceribri Lullabee Ceribri The Ood then. Definitely. They have that friendly voice combined with saying something like "The Beast has escaped from the Pit. You are going to die soon." Freaks me out. 3nodding *coughBalrogcough* mrgreen Balrog? I don't know from Balrogs... This was some thingee on Yu-Gi-Oh. redface I can't remember the name. But if anything, it was scarier-looking, but it never really did much of anything at all.
But, evidently, it was a cliche-enough creature that it's no wonder it didn't frighten me.o.0 Lord of the Rings....Balrog... the big evil shadow-demon-looking thing that Gandalf fights in Fellowship of the Ring??? I'm sorry... I haven't read or watched Lord of the Rings... redface
And I retract that bit about what's the scariest! "Father's Day" had pretty much the scariest moment! When those Reapers got the Doctor... I just saw that episode.Oh same here! It just aired on BBC America a while ago and yesterday was me seeing it first time. I *freaked* out!!!! gonk eek gonk Fathers Day... was that the Ninth Doctor? I missed a lot of those. Have to catch up some time. Haha, I don't think it really looked like a balrog... the balrog was more... well it didn't have those uber horns, and wasn't as big, and it appeared to be full of fire and a tad more lizard like and... maneuverable. Not saying it was bad, because it was an awesome monster! I was just kinda surprised, it wasn't really what I expected in Doctor Who. I think it would have been better if it had been like... almost breaking its chains and going pyshcho. Umm the Balrog has wings, and it's horns are more curved like a ram's, and curved differently, and definitely better quality IMO..... but still... it was kinda odd seeing its relative. I wanted it and actually expected it to kinda get loose, but when Ten is taunting it for not being able to I figured it was stuck there.

I think "The Empty Child" was one of the creepiest DW stories I can remember.

Freaj Fathers Day... was that the Ninth Doctor? I missed a lot of those. Have to catch up some time. Yeah, Father's Day is Episode 8 of the Ninth Doctor's series. It's the only one in that series that can make me cry.

And I just saw 'The Empty Child' and boy was it...different....creepy, but...yeah....... sweatdrop

You know despite how much it tried to Father's Day didn't move me at all. But I do agree with everyone about how creepy The Empty Child was.

The scariest Doctor Who ever was "A Fix with Sontarans," a totally disturbing Sixth Doctor story. I was scarred for life.
The Empty Child was definitely one of the most effective things they've ever done as far as approaching sheer eerieness. And of course by ever done I mean in the two new series, since they're most of what I've seen.

Anyone else creeped out by that empress of the racknoss in the runaway bride?
Now I'm not usually scared of spiders, but she kept moving her head in wierd ways, and twitching her multiple eyes. And her front legs were all over the place as well!

Mind you, I am seriously arachnophobic, but Sarah Parish's performance! If she's like that in Recovery (on which she also worked with David Tennant), then I'm already scared!

I didn't think she was too scary- well, she looked pretty amazing, and I'm an arachnaphobic also, but for some reason she just didn't really scare me. She looked freaky, it's just... the fact that she never actually moved anywhere, and just spent the whole time hissing and clawing at the air. It would have been SO much better if she had moved in a creepy spider way and... did more creepy spider things. See, now I'm getting goosebumps...

Ever since seeing the "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" move, I've been scared of oversized spiders crawling around and stuff. Which is a stupid way to have the fear of giant spiders put in you, but there it is. But the Racknoss empress lady wasn't really that terrifying. If she'd been skittering around and actually doing things... I think I might have been a bit scared, but obviously it's hard to make a villain who's not a bit alarming.
(I swear there's nothing more frightening than a badly-dressed spider-legged guy beheading people! Stop laughing at me!)

pleasemakethemgoawayisipleasepleasepleaseLOL especially the middle one. Though you might want to add Jackie to that list. Scared me. Empty Child was creepy, and well done, and... I can rant on the greatness of that story arc for ages. Satan's Pit didn't do it for me. There were too many loose ends in the plot, and CGI effects don't scare me. Ooooo PIXELS I am SOOO frightened. The Cheetah People from Survival scared me, not because they were scary, but because the concepts behind them were terrifying. Scariest Doctor Who moment EVER though would be Spearhead from Space: Three in the shower. *cringes*

There's no point in being grown-up...
Creepiest episode of Doctor Who ever: Sylvester McCoy = Ghost Light
THAT was a creepy episode. The scene where Ace is in that taxidermists nightmare of hall and she thinks everything is moving??
When the bugs come to life.
Control with the uber creepy voice in the basement, clawing her way up the elevator shaft.
and for goodness sake........don't have the soup. eek
And a great Doctor quote from that ep = "even *I* can't play this many games at once!"
...if you can't be childish sometimes.

None of the last two seasons have been scary scary for me.
The Beast in the Pit and his kid Abbadon (sp?) were really too cliched and quickly stopped. The Empty Child lost his creepiness with everyone and their little sister running about saying 'are you my mummy?'. The Cyberwoman then killed the Cybermen for me....I can't take a monster seriously when it has a metal bikini inside it...
But the ideas of those things still scare me if I try to imagine them actually turning up in reality one day. Real live Daleks running around exterminating people? They may be space-dustbins, but I'm be sobbing and running or hiding and praying. XD
