She only laughed, slightly hysterically and more than a bit helplessly. It'd been all she could do to pull herself up against the log--getting onto his back would be the equivalent of scaling a smooth marble wall that was fifty feet high with no tools. Possible, but not for her at the moment. "My furry friend, I doubt I could get back on this log, let alone on your back." She smiled, closing her eyes, deciding that maybe a touch of sleep would help--not a good idea for someone from tropical climes. "Though thank you for the offer."

He stood and marched his paws in agitation. She should not sleep. Not here. He could here the slowing of her heart and it worried him. With a growl at himself he padded over to her and took her tunic in his jaws as he pulled her up. He was tall enough that she did not touch the ground but it would be hard to go back that way so with a huge craning of his neck he carefully, well as carefully as he could, flung her onto his back.

She let out a gust of air, instinctively clutching his fur to keep herself from falling off. All the same, she was having a hard time of it, burying her face in his fur, sighing softly. Her eyes closed again, as he was far warmer than the snow covered ground, and while nearly painful, it was also far more lulling in the long run. She mumbled something, but seeing as she couldn't even comprehend what it was, there was no way for him to understand what she had said.

He waited a bit to let her get a good grip before he started off at a slow trot. His long legs carried him quickly and quietly back to the school. Not a single student was outside and they remained unseen as he entered the large halls. Once more he was wary of the unknown and kept close to the wall and far from any approaching demon. He did not dare to approach a demon until he sensed an extremely powerful male on the upper visitor dorms. The male smelled very similar to his injured charge and he only hesitated for a moment before padding up six rows of stairs and to the third door on the left. He scratched the door with a keening whine. He could feel the heat rolling of the room and knew this would be the best place to take Deleya.

The door was opened by a Shadow legionair, a casual display of power by the one who was inside. Kraelius Starkz, head of the Starkz line, didn't even glance up from where he was at his temporary desk looking over some scroll or another. "Set her on the bed," he said idly, but it was a command, and when this demon commanded, people listened. Any demon who defined that voice with its casual power would be one that would die quickly, and most certainly painfully--if not by Krael's hands, then by those of his legionairs.

"And change back to a more normal form," he added, glancing up with eyes of such an icy blue that the harshest of blizzards would seem like a desert.

Cloud moved slowly into the room and with extreme care tipped her onto the bed, but for the second request he look at Kraelius with confused, equally cold, eyes. He was still to drowned in demon blood to return to his human form. He paced for a moment and his power spiked as he tried to complete the order, but his curse buzzed right back and with a heavy sigh he laid down beside the bed and gave the powerful lord and apologetic whine.

Krael only arched a brow, as if still waiting on Cloud to complete what he had been told to do--and it was likely he still was. The demon lord was not known to be so lenient, as he viewed it as a weakness. Even Deleyla was expected to obey everything he said, her only grace being that he would 'overlook' certain small things.

"Are you a mutt or a wolf?" he said, his voice soft and deadly as a poison. "Only mutts are so weak they get stuck in their demon form."

Cloud snarled at the remark. He knew better then to lunge forward but he held his ears and tail high in challenge as he pulled his lips back and snapped his long fangs. His fur shifted in a wind that wasn't there as he drew if power to him and concentrated it in a light blue haze as he snapped. "I am no mutt!" he howled, but still he did not transform.

"Then you've fooled me," Krael said, and then, as if to only add injury to the insult, he proceeded to go back to his scroll, completely disregarding the power that Cloud was drawing into himself.

"And keep it down. My granddaughter is sleeping. She never could abide the howl of mutts when she slept."

Cloud gnashed his fangs in anger, but really did not wish to wake the girl and once more curled up beside the bed and in moments was asleep. Sometime during his nap the curse receded completely and the power that still shifted around him dispersed as he returned to his human form. His tunic had long disappeared and he slept on unaware in absolutely nothing. His skin was almost sickly pale in the bright light and his mark had transfered to a tattoo on his hip. With the loss of his tunic an his deep sleep revealed his massive array of scares. His arms and calf was carefully avoid from being marked but his back was hardly recognizable under so many whip marks and his other hip contained a gouge so deep that even his demonic healing could not completely reknit the flesh and there was a dip in his skin as if someone had dipped there hand into his hip and pulled out the meat there. His shoulder also bore a strange scar in the shape of a five pointed star. His chest was mainly hidden in his curled position but it too was covered in whip marks and dagger slashes. He looked less like a swordsmen and more like picture from some torture book. If Cloud had been awake he would have grabbed the closest covering to hide his greatest shame. There was a reason the word mutt stung so deeply and it had little to do with his heritage.

horus watched from a distance looking at everyone who moved in the distance, he flexed his damaged wing hoping to keep it moving as long as he could. Maybe someone here had guts enough to help him, or even better if they were all demons.

since i know you all are going to ask this he is not an angel he is a duke like the ones from disciples 2 a demon with wings and a sword for a right arm. if you,ve played it you know what im taking about.

Krael paid little mind to either of them, leaving them alone. While Cloud would probably never know it, the only reason he was still alive was because Cloud had saved Deleyla. Any other time, and the wolf would have been killed for disobeying an order, whether he could accomplish it or not.

The demon lord stood up, not even glancing at the two. The legionairs in the room, two of the seventy seven, saluted shortly, all ready knowing what their master wanted. Kraelius walked out, leaving them both still asleep, planning on studying the arena thoroughly before the fighting began in two days time.

It was a good thirty minutes before Deleyla stirred, woken by the familiar scents of her grandfather, one person whom she adored and revered more than any other. She looked around, still with a headache, but recovered a bit from earlier. She peered over the edge of the bed carefully (more than once Krael had left 'gifts' that she had not noticed until too late, training to always be on her guard), and her breath drew in sharply when she saw Cloud.

Whether it was her movement or the shift in his form finally reaching his hazed brain. Cloud awoke with a wide mouthed yawn. He stretched like a cat, popping his back and shoulders before sitting up and rubbing his eyes with his palms. "Strange," he murmured as he looked around and then spotted Deleyla. "How are you feeling?" he asked, his mind vaguely suppling the information that she had been hurt.

"I'm all right," she said softly. "I've got a headache like no one's business, and I feel fairly dehydrated, but I'm better." Her eyes roved over his bare form, taking in all the scars--despite her training and who her grandfather was, she had never seen anyone who looked like he did. "I'm sorry," she added sincerly, but they were words so foreign at the Academy it would probably take a moment to digest them.

"Sorry? What do you have to be sorry about?" he asked. He still had not noticed his serious lack of clothing and continued to look her straight in the eye, clearly wondering what she had done to apologize for.
