The problem with writing I have is I have my entire fic planned out but I can never just word it how I want it. I think this time of redoing will be at least the 15th time.... Hopefully this time it will actually work. So far its wonderful. I also have another fic idea I want to start. My goal for this summer is to finally complete the one I'm working on now and finish the other. Then I'll be happy with myself and can move on. I've been writing ever since I was 10 or so(5 years ago) and I still have yet to finish one fic. I have, however, written about 5 songfics though I'm redoing them now too. Its annoying when you've done a songfic and then thought of something better to use with that same song.

Yes, and I have! I threw an entire notebook away just because I felt like the story was so horrible! I even rewrote the story I think three more times before I just scrapped it entirely! It was so frustrating because It was my entire junior high life work!

Yeah, I threw away everything I wrote in middle school. I sucked a writing then, but the more I wrote, the better I got. I really do think this time I'm gonna finish this fic. Even though I'm kinda stuck on my character's dream.

Rawr, how did you know? I'm writing a book right now, or at least trying to. It was going pretty well, but then the main character kinda.. fell asleep, and I didn't know how I should wake her. No matter what I tried, it all seemed wrong; having someone else wake her, having her spaz and sit up in bed, having her fall out of bed, nothing!

It's been sitting there for a few months now because of that T-T

But fanfiction and such, however, usually does make it from my pen to the computer, but then it's a matter of whether or not it makes it onto the internet.

I'm currently working on my main character's dream. I think, I may have just figured out what to do next. Dreams can be such trouble...

I have a great story beginning idea... But I can never end it!

That happens to me all the time.

Last time a character of mine dreamed, he saw the events leading up to his family's bloodline curse that now afflicts him.

The intro of the story always gets me. ._. I can never get it to come out right...

I have written about 3/10 of a poem. The rest has decided it will take it's time to come to me. I've bribed it with photos, music and sheer boredom, but no. It's obviously somewhere it likes better than my mind or paper.

I'm currently writing my dreams down, so I might try and write those in a creative way or as poems, or draw them... until that poem comes.

What kills me is the smooth introduction of new characters.

What kills me is the smooth introduction of new characters.

Just do it gradually. It really helps if one of the main characters already knows this new person and they can explain who they are, or if the new character gives a introduction and is asked about his/her history/purpose/etc... later on by another character.
Of course, it's always fun when some mysterious person suddenly hops in out of the blue in an action-like or comical scene and you get to know them later on. 3nodding
I hope this helps. sweatdrop

Well, I find it really, really easy to come up with beautiful endings and dramatic beginnings and scenes, etc... but I can't do the stuffs between them to make the story all fit! It's just so annoying trying to come up with side-characters, small plots, and the stuff that happens between the major scenes without making them seem boring! xp
That and for some reason I find writing dialogue and conversations between characters EXTREMELY boring and hard to do. sweatdrop

I have that exact problem. I know what I want to happen but it's getting there that ois the hardest part of it all. I suck at beginning stories and ending them unless it's for a school assignment which is normally cut-and-dry on directions. oir i get an idea and just as i go to write i lose it or i never have an idea to begin with but i have an insatiable urge to write.

Yes. But I don't have a notebook, it's all on the computer. Which is probably a bad idea, but anyway...

I have "written" dozens of stories and stopped after a chapter or two because they were so terrible and would never work. >.< I plan out the main characters & the basic plot for the beginning but end up getting lost and eventually delete the file in frustration.
