The change in topic was welcomed whole-heartedly, as Yua made no attempt to keep on their conversation's original course, but instead laughed at the question posed. Oh, now -this- would probably get an amusing response;
"That's what -I- am trying to figure out, actually." he admitted, shrugging his shoulders. There was no shame in having actually gotten lost for a bit. For a long bit. But it was time well spent in what he had been doing. Which was.. absolutely nothing.
A nice change.
"Perhaps a wrong turn somewhere, would be the best presumption of 'how' I got here, besides on foot."

Tui smiled and giggled a little at his comment. "Oohhh, so you're lost? Although, you didn't have a destination, right? So if you had nowhere to go, you're not lost. You're exactly where you were going. Nowhere." She grinned, amused and impressed by her own logic.
((Short post, sorry. xD; ))

Yua shook his head quickly at her reply, standing up to stretch his limbs. Remaining motionless for, what could be considered, non-sleeping purposes, got to him.
"Not quite. This isn't nowhere. This would be a place called 'somewhere'. Though I would say that it holds a candle to it in label of pretty things it has."
It was unfortunate, however, that he would be unable to hear the possible thing that could be taking as FLIRTING in that phrase, being the dumb-headed boy he was.
"And nowhere is a lot harder to get to. Nobody ever really does."

Tui took his words to mean she was included in the pretty things, and she glanced at the ground shyly for a moment with a smile. Looking back up at him she flicked her tuft of dark mane from her eyes and gave him a charming smile.
"That's my point." She said with a nod, "You'll never get where you're going if your destination is nowhere, wherever you are it's 'somewhere'."

It would be a topic that, if asked, he would have been unable to refuse to answer on.
Quirking a brow at her change of mind, Yua chuckled. "But you just said I -was- nowhere, dearie." he teased, sticking his tongue out a bit at her in a childish manner. Yua, king of all things.... that were CONFUSING.
However, the charming smile on her face seemed to confuse him a bit.
Why is she looking at me like th-... oh damn. I said something, didn't I? WHAT DID I SAAY?
This sort of internal panic seemed to show on his face.

Tui returned the tongue-sticking-out with her own pink one. "Yes, but I was making my point. Oh now you've confused me!" She said with a giggle.
Raising a brow at his sudden panic-stricken face, she cocked her head to the side curiously, "Something the matter, Yua? You look... nervous." She hel;d back a smile, wondering if it was the way she had looked at him, or perhaps he wasn't used to flirting?

The comical expression remained on his face for a moment, before he quickly worked to respond to Tui's inquiry, fumbling over his words quite well.
"Well yes.. no.." Pause. Start over. "Well I mean...." Pause. Start over. "Umm.. Well... Err... Ne-." Pause. Start over. "I mean..... No... yes.... Um.."
Rinse. Lather. Repeat.
".... You're looking at me funny.. did I say something weird?" he finally got out after several mis-fires of attempt to explain his funny expression. He again rubbed his paw against his marked leg nervously. "'cause I mean.... it's okay if I did.. I do that sometimes...."
Ugh....
He was -such- an idiot sometimes.

Tui tried very hard to hold back a laugh as he stuttered to explain himself. She shook her head slightly and smiled at him. "No, Yua, you didn't say anything weird." She said with another attempt at holding back a giggle, "I just misunderstood you." She smiled with a nod and quickly changed the subject, but couldn't help thinking how damn CUTE he was!
"Anyway, uh, would you like to go for a walk with me? I could show you around the jungle a bit." She said, standing up and shaking off the dirt from her golden coat.

He seemed to sigh a bit in relief when she assured, no, he wasn't being an idiot. At least that wasn't why he was getting that -strange- look he'd been getting. Yua.. would have to investigate that look a bit. Because that was going to BUG him. He'd -never- seen that look before....
that he could recall.
When she rose up, he did as well, not really concerned in shaking out his own coat (it was brown, dirt was brown... nobody was really going to NOTICE, right? They were weird if they did... well.. unless they saw stuff like -he- did.)
".. Sure..." there was a bit of a pause in his speak as he walked to her side. "Y'know.." his voice dropped to a bit of a mumble. "As long as the trees don't try to eat me..."

Tui smiled sweetly once again as they started off in the direction away from her former pride. She didn't want to run into anyone, although she wasn't sure why. She didn't want to spoil her time with Yua. She was a bit surprised at the thought, but shook it off as her being lonely. This was the longest meeting sahe had ever had with someone outside of her family or pride.
"..Eat... you?" She asked, tilting her head to the side. "I've never heard of a tree eating someone before." She said, eyeing the large plants warily.

Yua crinkled his nose with a wide grin, possibly the biggest show of any sort of amusement that he'd had yet. "They try. Trees don't really -like- me, see?" Trees plus -other- various shapes of nature... he added internally, then laughed out loud, though, it was to be expected, she would be unable to get the joke.
Shaking his mane out a bit, he looked over to her. "If you'd met me in other circumstances, it seems I always have some run-in with them. I ponder if, in some chance, I may have angered the tree spirits in a past life or something of that sort." he explained.
He liked this one. Sure, he'd had travelling companions, and ... they were most definately against his will.. but.. "So where is -your- destination, hm?"

Tui tilted her head to the side curously as he spoke, then laughed. She smiled back but didn't really understand why it was amusing. "Perhaps you did. Well, I'll take you somewhere where the trees are more sparse, 'kay?" She smiled sweetly once more, her eyes closing slightly from the act.
At his question her smile vanished and she looked to the ground. "Oh, me... Well I'm not really traveling anywhere." She said with a shrug, looking back up to watch where she was going. "I was born into the jungle pride, well, not technically but that's where I grew up. My father and mother are probably worried about me, I sort of ran away a while back. I haven't left the jungle completely though, I don't know if I ever will. I can't seem to make up my mind."
She laughed a bit nervously, smiling at him, "Oh, I've been rambling, sorry."

"I left home whole-heartedly..... I grew up fully in the savannah. Not many trees to anger out there." he joked, though it was interesting how she spoke of growing up there in the jungle. It made sense to linger still nearby. With everything that there was, the thought of going out into unfamiliar terrain could have been daunting.
Ran away, huh?
"I ran away too, you could say.. I couldn't handle my sister's attitude towards my 'talent' anymore, as well as how she practically -tried- to ruin my life, so.. I left. " he shrugged a bit. Dark secret of his family, indeed. "'Lopoka, Lopoka'. It became part of my name, y'know? 'Yua'Lopoka', he speaks madness... it was always Wiza who was saying that, see?" he explained, shrugging.
"In the end, I think I'm happier trying to find my niche in life away from the supressing reach of my family. Mom and Dad wanted to do what was best, sure, but one cannot flower under the shadow of their elders."

Tui looked over at him as he spoke, and she smiled as she looked to the ground. His words had a rather large impact on her, and she knew he was right. "Thank you." She said siomply. She smiled up at him, her lavender eyes closing a bit. "You've helpd me out just now. I know what I have to do. I'm going to go see my father tomorrow. I'll explain to him that I need to go out on my own." She looked to the sky as they walked, the trees around them growing more scarce.
Finally the two came to a clearing, and beyond it was the open savannah. "I love this spot," Tui explained, as the sun set in the background, "The sky at night and the sunset and sunrise are all magnificent." Her eyes sparkled as she watched the sun slowly descend below the earth. She sat down and didn't take her eyes off of the sight as she spoke, "I am glad to have met you, Yua'Lopoka. But I don't belive the name Lopoka suits you at all. I shall just call you Yua." She fionally looked over to him with a sweet smile, eyes still sparkling.

The thanks for his words received a strange look, as Yua had no -idea- why he was being thanked. He'd helped? How how? Man. Females were so CONFUSING, he decided, but smiled back, shrugging it off. "Explaining your reasoning to your father is a good first step. I would suggest that by the time you speak to him, you have answers to any questions he may toss in your direction to throw you off."
When the area opened back up into the savannah, Yua stared off across it and it's familiarity, smiling a bit, contently. The sunset was always beautiful, he had known, but it was strange to actually... watch it. It reflected in his expression that he'd never really taken the time to do so before. "It's got a good view." he agreed, looking to her, simply admiring how the sun flung bits of red and orange into the blue that engulfed her in his eyes.
She... was rather lovely.
"Thank you. Yua.. it is, then." he agreed, grinning.
