"And in doing so you've let the entire school-" At this he waved to the crowd he was still busy trying to ignore, "-know that we're here. Or, at least, know that we're here a lot earlier than I was hoping."

Kai scowled and tucked his hands into his pockets, ignoring the scratchy new material. It was good seeing Max there, it really was but Kai had wanted at least one day of peace.

Alex nodded at May's explanation before jumping slightly as a bell rang through the school. "That would be the signal we have to leave this happy gathering." He said easily, frowning slightly as he tried to remember which form class he was in and where it was.

He ignored Rin's remarks about the beyblade competition as he slipped out of the crowd, still trying to remember where he was meant to be going. He knew next to nothing about beyblading, it had never seemed important in his world to follow the sporting craze about the spinning tops.

But to have two obviously well recognised people who played the sport in the school? That was interesting.

"Be reasonable about this." Max sighed. He really wasn't one to talk, but he just couldn't shut up and let Kai think he was completely right.

"If not outside, they'd know it in class. Or if any of the other guys were here. You know that." As he finished, the bell rang, but he didn't move an inch, knowing Kai would most likely want to have the last word in this conversation.

{---}

"Alright then. Guess I'll be seeing you later then, hopefully." May's expression quickly changed, and she smiled sweetly at Alex before he left.
That same smile grew wider as Rin's mention of a Tournament was processed in her mind.

"Really?" She asked. When this school was first mentioned, she had immediately scratched beyblading off the list. But maybe it wouldn't be that bad now. "I'm definitely joining that. And I agree, we might get his royal highness over there to join us." Her back was turned to the two, so she had pointed at Kai with a finger and now laughed at her own statement.

"Well um..." She took a small paper from her backpack, scribbling down a few things. "I might disappear from time to time, since I like exploring and get in trouble sometimes. So if we can't find each other, here's my locker and cell phone numbers." May gave her the small piece of paper, with her small signature so Rin would know her name.

"We should get going, but I have to do something first." The brunette smiled at her once again, before walking over to the duo. Well, considering there weren't as many fans here and all, it wasn't a difficult task.

"Hey um..." She ran a hand through her brown hair, a bit embarrassed. It's not that she was a big fan or was madly in love with them, but it was kind of awkward. She looked up at the two, smiling sheepishly, and noticed she was short enough to simply reach Max's shoulder in her full height. "You guys probably don't know me, but. I'm May. I live in Tyson's neighbourhood, and I've seen you guys around when I walk by sometimes, but I guess the only thing we've ever said to each other is really asking the time or something. And I've been in some tournaments against you, but always lost."

Why was she saying all that? It was confusing, even to herself. But maybe, maybe she simply wanted to make it clear who she was, so they wouldn't think she was just some fangirl who would come up with anything to talk to them - not that she even looked like a fangirl.

"Well anyway... I really just wanted to introduce myself, because it's an honour to finally be able to talk to you." It truly was an honour. Even if she didn't think one of them wasn't that nice of a person, it was still good to finally meet them personally - outside a tournament, I mean.

{---}

Max looked at the brunette, a bit confused at first. It wouldn't be the first time a fangirl would say something like that. He'd had encounters with some saying they were his long-lost sisters in the past, or cousins or women they were engaged to. It was plain weird.

But as she kept explaining, he thought about it and did remember some girl who'd go around carrying flowers/flower arrangements sometimes, or just walking and stopping to ask what time it was only to run off saying something about losing the bus. He looked closely and decided it was she, unless anyone else decided to use that excuse on him.

He looked at Kai when she finished speaking, then down at the female. So May was her name? Yeah, that rang a bell. There was some May girl in tournaments, part of a team they had gone against. But he fought some Gabriela girl, not her.
Max finally ended up smiling at her. "Nice to meet you May." He gave Kai a side-glance, almost to tell him to say something and not just... walk off.

((Blasphemous to the guild?!??! REALLY?!?!?! Can I join?))

(((Yeah, i'm sorry it's taking so long, but I had a convention the past weekend.)))

Arani finally plopped into a seat in form class as the bell for classes rung. She saw the big crowd still outside, Max and the others amoung them and rolled her eyes.

Leaving her bag to mark her chair, she walked over to the open window and shouted out of it. "Hey! If you're gonna cut class, you probably shouldn't do it in the courtyards! Duh!"

(((I'm sorry about the crappy post.... three hours sleep, ya know?)))

As May finished speaking Rin came up behind her. She smiled at the boys and introduced herself," Hi, I'm Rin. I've heard alot of rumors about you boys, I hope some of it isn't true. *laughs* You gonna enter the tornament Max?" Rin smiles sweetly to the blonde blader and then looks at May. She then hears someone yelling to get into class..." Well, gotta go...unless your gonna give us your answer now, Max? The sign in is in the Hall and it'll be lots of fun." She turns to leave for her class.

Alex entered the room Arani was in as she yelled out the window. "Seriously?" He asked, finding himself a seat and flopping into it. "Form's just where they make sure that everyone's here. It's not that important."

~

Kai looked between May and Rin before turning back to Max. He answered the blonde's look by rolling his eyes. "Whatever." He muttered before pushing his way through the crowd on the way to form. He ignored the girl shouting from the windows.

Kai stopped in his tracks before looking over his shoulder at his fgormer team mate. "I'm... glad you're here Max." He said finally before he walked quickly away.

((First day back at school. Forgive me *yawns*))

((I Know, right panda?)))

Arani flopped into the seat beside Alex. "It'll be important if they get suspended over it." she retorded automatically. She glanced at the boy. "And you are...?"

Rin enters the classroom and sits in her assigned seat.

[Um... I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while... But I'm busy with school and tests and... Yeah.]

Max couldn't help but smile cheerfuly; that was more than he'd ever expect to hear from his teammate. Maybe other people didn't understand it quite well, but then again, they had no idea how Kai really was, how he'd been affected. It could explain why they would often get the wrong impression. Or at least that was Max's own point of view.

He looked down at said female who'd explained all thatonly to end up with a raised eyebrow and an «Are you kidding me?» sort of look.

"Don't mind him." Max shrugged. "He's really just like that. You'll end up getting used to it."

"If I talk to him, you mean." May added matter-of-factly. It wasn't in her to judge a person, let alone ignore them; but if Mr. Hiwatari didn't want to talk, she wasn't going to force him to. "Come on, we shouldn't be late." She told the blond, quickly remembering Arani shouting out the window.

The two went to form, almost in dead-silence, Max having the feeling of relief from being away from that crowd, and May just deciding to shut up for the time being.

They arrived and got seats somewhat close to Alex and Arani. Apparently, Max thought she was nice and was somewhat flattered because of her drawing him a while ago and May, well... She spoke to them, and there really was no point in going somewhere secluded just because she'd been used to it in erly years at school.

"Oh and..." The brunette looked over at Arani with a smile. "If I ever intended to cut class - and believe me, I will at some other time -, I wouldn't be so obvious. By the way, I'm May."

((*hugs* It's all good. Having a life sucks. *kicks school*))

"Alex. You?" He asked Arani, looking over at the girl. "You're new aren't you? I don't recognise you."

~

Kai sighed as he weaved his way through the hallway to get to his form class. He had a vague idea where it was but had never actually seen the room for himself.

The bluenette ignored the people who were obviously returning to the school for another year. It was obvious from their happy voices and their cries of delight whenever they spotted another friend they hadn't seen since they had left. They weren't part of his world.

He was still reeling from the fact that Max- his Max - had shown up at this school. It was dangerously close to being one of those coincidences he didn't believe in.

Kai slipped through the doorway of his form class, smoothly leaving the traffic of students in the hallway behind. He looked around, noticing the girl who had given the game away talking to a boy near the back of the class.

He rolled his eyes and took the seat next to Rin.

Rin looks over at Kai with a questioning look...she thinks"Why is he sitting next to me of all the others? I thought he would pick that dark corner over there...oh well, I guess it'll be nice for alittle company thats knows what their doing...The last thing I want is to get stuck next to some moron." She looks to the front of the class to see the teacher walk in. Rin smirks," Well, this'll be fun."

Arani nodded at May. "Arani Amazila. And I should hope not, as that'd be pretty pathetic."

She glanced over her shoulder as Kai walked past her up the theater-style chairs to his seat. Her face twitched slightly before she forced herself to look up at the teacher as he called roll. Her name was predictably first, so she answered his question as civilly as she could've on the few hours sleep she'd had recently. She heard Alex ask about her. "Yeah, so? There are lots of new kids here." she said irritably.

She opted to siphon off some of her not-getting-enough-sleep irritability by finishing one of the battle scenes in her novel. She hadn't felt like writing it at the time, and so merely left blank space in the binder sufficient to hold the scene when she wrote it at a later date. She started scribbling furiously, biting her tongue slightly as she tried to envision how her characters would move. Arani was often told that people could see her works animated, though perhaps not live-action, and that was how she preferred it.

She quickly sketched a diagram of the battlefeild and combatants on a separate page, which looked an awful lot like a football play on a chalkboard, except that people were marked with their initials or a similar designation such as 'D' for 'Doomed.' She giggled slightly as she finished filling in the markings for the already dead corpses.

((Yea, Arani's sense of humour is warped. And yes, this is the kind of thing that happens to me, except I get caught by the teach and detentioned.))

((So didn't mean it like that XD Am updating the first post. There's a STORY now. wowies!))

Alex looked over at Arani's 'Game-plan' "Do I really want to ask?" He pondered, looking up as the teacher called his name. He waved his hand lazily at the teacher and turned back to Arani's book, pointing to one of the ambiguously named 'D' circles.

"Something tells me that that doesn't stand for Defense"

~

Kai sat back in his seat and pinched the bridge of his nose. School hadn't even started and he had a headache. THAT Had to be a record.

Arani didn't even look up from her paper. "Well duh, it stands for doomed. You know, dead-to-be. It wouldn't be any fun if all the characters survived." She blinked. "Oh, crap, I said that out loud." she muttered, sweatdrop appearing on the back of her head.

Rin side glances at Kai and catches him wincing..."Are you ok?," she asked him. She looks at him curiously with a hint of worry...not surprising for her even though she doesn't know him...at all.

[[Aaah! Don't kill me, don't kill me! *hides* ;.; School has been acting evil towards me and my friends lately.]]
[[Omg Meilin, I love Arani's sense of humor, it reminds me of my own! x)]]

Shifting on her seat and placing a hand on Max's shoulder for support, May managed to catch sight of what Arani and Alex were talking about. It took her a moment to relate the conversation to the actual diagram, not because she was stupid, but rather because she'd been looking for something on her school bag for a moment.

"Woah, that's awesome." She grinned, revealing sharp-ish teeth. A bit loony, yes; but sue her, May's last moments of reading these past few months had been the not-so-loved type, with gruesome actions and descriptions... She'd read manga too, but that was beyond the point here.

She settled back comfortably after said comment, though, knowing it wouldn't exactly be pleasant if someone scolded her in the beginning of her first day. Taking a black notebook and somewhat full pencil case out, she proceeded to open the former, revealing several pictures of beybladers and teams on the cover - including one of herself with her best friend -, some with some little comments around, and lots of small doddles and notes on the margins, around her silly writings and memos. It was the notebook she carried around with all sorts of stuff written in it, so she wouldn't have to mess up the ones she'd use for school.

It would still be a bit before her name was called, probably a bit or right after Max, so she just took in her surroundings, curious now, about how many people she'd even heard about were here.

{---}

"Woah, that's awesome."

Max fully snapped out of it, the voice closer than he'd expect. He had been sort of daydreaming, or rather, remembering past events, and wondering why Kai was here in the first place. Heck, he was wondering why he, himself was here. He hadn't even noticed when May placed a hand on his shoulder - he was sitting closer to Arani, after all -, despite her average weight and pressure her arm would apply on his relaxed shoulder.

When he snapped out of it, she was already settling on her seat once again, thus leaving him somewhat confused for a moment. Maybe he shouldn't have been so distracted, even though it was natural for almost anyone o be that way even just from time to time.

"Hey, what were you guys talking about, anyway?" Max ended up asking, the look of confusion slowly fading. He looked at Arani's desk and managed to see their source of conversation. "... What does that 'D' stand for?" He asked cautiously, frowning.
