Chath's eyes caught the movements of him getting ready to strike. THis was a class to learn right? and experiment. He needed to learn new moves if he hoped ot have any chance of winning an actual fight. Before he would let Ter build up enough tension to spring he made a dash forward, now this was something Chath wasn't accusomed to. being offensive. He usually was very defensive as he didn't like the thought of hurting people unless it was needed.
But try something new right? He had to remember what to do once he got to Ter but then realized he would be within striking distance if he kept running towards the boy. But perhaps that was his plan? Run forward and then hope his dodging skills were up to par to deflect any sort of attack made on him.

Ter tensed for a moment when Chath suddenly dashed forward, not what he was expecting but then again he'd only ever fought with Ligeia who never attacked first... well he would just meet Chath in the middle was all he decided as he sprung forward with his coils to bring his sword against that of Chath.

How delirious could one really be? Her mother was not fun when it came to learning, she was rigorous, devilish, but nowhere near pleasant. "If you want to learn faster," She chided through gritted teeth, body still and arms loose, holding her stance with an arrow on the hilt. "And don't mind rigorous, long, health testing sessions, then I would say go to my mother. But I think she is too intense for you, Gab."
As her soft spoken words ended, Sahra let go off the arrow, landing it closer to inner section of the ring next to the bulls-eye. Her ears shot forward alertly, her expression serene, which did not reflect upon her thoughts.
"Getting better Gab," She said smiling; turning her head round until her the feathered girl was in sight. Her expression quickly calmed, and her eyes intensified, as she brought around another arrow, and pulled it up to the hilt of her bow. "Try straightening up your posture and pulling the arrow back further." Concentrate and aim. Following her own advice, the cheetah thrashed her arm backward, the end of the dulled arrow wedged between her darkly furred fingers.
Her hand released the arrow, and it landed in nearly the same location as the last.

Yikes, snake boy at 10 o'clock. Chath skidded to a halt his momentum carrying him forward and within striking range. The boy was fast, as already the sword was coming at him.
On instinct he deflected it. Only problem he deflected it with his arm. Not his sword which was sitting idly in his hand not being used properly. He tried to brush his mistake off by pushing Ter's weapon back with said arm and then trying to use the weapon to bat it aside.
His arm was certianly going to bruise though.

Ter gave a little wince when his weapon hit arm instead of the other's sword, ouch... that had to of hurt he thought to himself then shook his head trying to get his concentration back. A little slow as the other was able to knock his weapon aside. He looked over at it then his tail went slithering forward to wrap around it, grabbing it up from where it landed while he readied himself to dodge.
Ok, mental note pay better attention to his opponent despite what happened between them... Oh well, would try harder once he got his blade back.

[It was perfectly alright. Especially as there was no particular need for Turner to post. This class will end tonight, so wrap things up, and I'll make a conclusion post tomorrow, along with a brief 'homework'. Anyone who didn't pass [I haven't counted yet] will have the option of an extra homework assignment to make the course count. <3]

Was he suppose to make Ter drop his weapon? He supposed it was the better thing to do cause then his opponent wouldn't be able to hit him. BUt dang his arm did hurt. He was surprised that his hand didn't go numb from the impact actually, perhaps he was just lucky.
"Nice hit." he commented as he waited for Ter to pick up his weapon before reading himself for another attack. "En gaurd!" He shouted trying to shake off the pain.

Sahra turned; the ruckus from across the way had finally managed to catch her attention. Wow, She thought, They're really going at it over there. She huffed, her fur standing on end. That was exactly why she didn't care for melee, it was just to close for comfort, and she’d rather face Gabby when she was in a talkative mood.
Turning back to her own lessons, her fingers slipped back around the bow securely, and pulled up another arrow to shoot. "Come on target." She mumbled to herself. But her shots just weren't good enough! They kept missing the middle.
Maybe if she tried her own bow, "Re, give me my bow, please, I want to try something."
The dragon sat up obediently, grabbing his partner’s bow in his mouth, he slithered to her side, and constricted upward to meet her eye to eye. "Here." He attempted to say, words muffled over the bow.
She reached over and took her prized possession from the Lindworm's mouth. Falling back into position, Sahra handed off her 'class' bow to Ephrem, grabbed a dulled arrow, and pulled it back from the hilt. "Hopefully having a new string won't affect anything..."
She shot. It landed closer than she had so far, which was an improvement at least. "Hm."

There. Her last arrow had hit the target and Gabby stared at it for a second or what, feeling accomplished. She still wasn’t shooting as well as Sahra was, but at least her aim was getting better, that as long as she just focused! She turned to watch the boys for a bit as her sister was still practicing like mad! Melee, she shuddered, she was glad she and Sah just got to practice with bows. Bows were fun, and Turner had said she would eventually get a custom one. A custom one!
“Ohh, Sil. Didya hear about my bow?!” She sighed happily and her thoughts drifted off, although her eyes remained fixed on the fighting boys.
Sahra’s voice disrupted her daydream and Gabby quickly twirled around, “Yay, wow Sah! That one was pretty good! I reaaally enjoyed practicing with you.” She grinned, “But you know that I did, I always like taking classes together, they’re just so much less boring with you near!”
As she shut her mouth again she glanced down at her bow. Hrm, should she just return it to the rack? Nah, she’d wait for her sister. Maybe the cheetah wanted to shoot one more arrow. Sah-la never seemed to get tired of shooting!

Sahra was too focused on shooting to hear much of what Gabby had to say. She only caught snippets here and there, and by the time she decided to take a quick breather, she had shot four more arrows. "I guess." She answered in return, shoving some of her tawny colored hair out of eyes. "I am still not happy, though, I want to hit closer to the target...I am almost to the middle."
But no matter how many times she shot, her position on the target never really changed, at least not significantly. Sure a little more to the left here, a little more upward there, but she never made it further inward the ring just bordering the bulls-eye. How embarrassing, She thought, licking her lips impatiently, I'll have to go out and practice more after class. Nodding, she couldn't help but run her fingers up and down the delicate frame of her bow. Her fingers explored the twists and turns of the carved ivy designs near the hilt.
"I don't think I'll ever be satisfied." Sahra finally admitted aloud; she raised one more arrow to her hilt, twisted herself back into stance, and quickly shot. Still no better. She huffed, feeling Ephrem's body twist around her comfortingly. She released her bow from one hand and let it fall to his head; she used the other to pull her own bow around her chest, as it had been when she had entered the room. "Hmph." She mumbled, snatching up Turner's bow from Ephrem's mouth.

Ter grabbed his sword from his tail's grasp then made sure he had a better grasp on it this time. Alright, this time there would be no getting distracted enough to lose his weapon, had he been fighting a real enemy he would have lost! And he didn't like that idea at all! The snake boy flicked his tongue out and then drew back setting out to strike again, changing his tactics this time though and lunged to the other boy's side trying to get around him.
Entangling Chath in his coils would give him an advantage, so that was his plan.

Ter was a snake how could he fall for such a move? Tripping up Chath soon found himself coiled around and immobile. His legs were too trapped to move, panic rose thoguh he clamped his teeth down against it. No way would be panic. But what could he do. He didn't want to hurt the kid.
Against his will the he felt the toxin seep from his skin, it made him more slippery, and he wasn't aware of Ter's immunity to such things. If anything he might get a minor skin irritation, but he managed to twist around a clamp a webbed hand on Ter's left wrist. His sword still in his other hand he kinda felt a bit lost with what to do, he knew what to do if he dropped it. But there was a reason why he took a weaponry class.
Um. This close together though made swords more...awkward to use. He gave Ter a half smile in apology about the toxin more than anything. "I would have to say you won. This class i couldn't use a weapon properly against you. NOt that I would know what to do with it anyway." He said, not liking to admit defeat, but also not wanting to hurt the kid.

"Good, boys. Terpsichore, congrats on y'victory, Chath, y'took that mighty well. "
Turner reached out to take the weapons from the two, brows raised as her find slotted away their various movements and abilities in the back of her brain. They both had potential, but any trained fighter would mop the floor with them. Letting them relax for a moment and catch their breath, she walked over to the girls, examining their target practice before giving Sahra a quick nod. Obviously, she'd had some training before.
"Great, Sahra. Gabby, I can tell you're going to get better as well."
The practice bows were collected, and she headed to her desk, to jot down a quick note about each of them.
"I'll see you all thursday, eh?"
