Walter sped up, knowing that it would hurt a lot if Oblivion got too far. Ice looked at Kitsu, then took off after both boys and their daemons, only to have Kitsu let go of both her and Cressida's hands and take off far faster than Ice could dream of running, pulling to a stop in front of the frantic daemon.
The only problem was that Oblivion's brakes weren't so good, and she went sliding right into the taur girl, sending them both falling into (thankfully) a large snow drift.

Cressida gasped and rushed over with Ice to attempt removal. Quixana skidded to a halt at the sight, trying not to giggle, but then his own foot hit ice and he went spinning off to land in the snow drift as well. Courage shook her head as this only resulted in huge peals of laughter from her Forgotten. Resigned, she trotted over and set her teeth in the sleeve of his coat, beginning to pull him out.

Somehow Oblivion managed to get her tail tangled with Kitsu's legs, and she was struggling to get free, since the ice melted quickly against her warm metal skin. But she jerked as she noticed that Kitsu was trembling, and looked up at the legend with worry.
Kitsu was laughing. Her face was flushed and a huge smile was pasted across her face as she reached down, pulling the poor daemon into a happy hug.
"Snow war!" Walter said before jumping feet first into the snow drift.

"Yay!" Quixana practically yodeled with delight as he yanked his sleeve from Courage's mouth and spun to dive back into the snow. Mittened hands soon formed a lopsided snowball and he scampered behind Courage before throwing it in Walter's general direction.
It sailed wide about a foot but, considering this was the boy's first snowball, perhaps that wasn't so miserable a miss.
