Freaj http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OM68uWlkoM That's the Cyberman dancing in the park... Now seriously, I wonder where you can get your hands on a cyberman costume? I've seen plastic heads with the voice changers, but they're just fake ones for little kids, I'm talking full on cyberman outfit. I would SO go around all the time being an awesome cyberman!! Who wouldn't? Tell you what, after I complete my quest for a brown trenchie and a 4th Scarf, I'll go looking. Thats because thats an actual Cyberman actor using the actual costume. It's in the outtakes for series 2. Though.. if your rich http://www.thisplanetearth.co.uk/ does licenced replicas.

Haha, that looks pretty sweet... hate to think of how much it would cost though. You could probably buy a car for the same amount of money. Possibly. Well its not something I can afford anyway!

I went as a cyberman to isi's party. I'll see if I can get isadora_arya and velvetnight to send me the pics - I tihnk I nearly died from spraypaint inhalation... we had to make a K-9 as well XD and the tin foil... I needed velvet and isadora to help me sit down and stand up and eat food and everything. It's so hard to bend your arms and legs - But everyone else seemed to find it hilarious. mateys, if i could FIND a coat pattern, I'd make a colin baker coat and wear it around everywhere. although at the present time I'd probably be baked [don't kill me tattie please] by the thirty-degree up weather. BARMY ARMY!!!! A traitor to my own countrys cricket team. But I DON'T CARE!!!!
WE ARE THE ARMY! THE BARMY ARMY!

I went to an 80s party as Ace last year. Unfortunately, my friend has all the photos and lost her digital camera, so it'll be a while before I can post any pics.
The jacket will be a work in progress for some time, methinks. There are like 40 items on it!

PS Wish I'd put money on our being beaten 5-0 now...

I took great pics of the real costumes on display at the Behind the Sofa exhibition at MOMI in London back in 1991.
Detail of Second Doctor's suspenders.... ...and detail of Sixth Doctor's waistcoat. Note the buttons. lol There were two shots of Ace's coat, too...apparently I didn't load them onto my computer yet. If Warnersister wants the reference, I'll hunt them up & post them here...?

Freaj Twisted Davros Well if you learn to knit you can always make one yourself. It was a knitted scarf after all. Yeahhh but made by someone who could actually knit. I mean, I have NO interest in knitting, and its really boring, and it would take ages to learn to make something without stuffing up, then it would take ages to make a scarf as long as that anyway. So I guess I'm on a quest to find someone who will knit one for me. I can knit pretty well. I just need a good amount of time to do it in. Tell you what, if you will PM me the link to show me the colors and such, I will make that a goal to knit that for the summer. Even if it's the only goal I accomplish, I'll do it. And then I'll take about two gabillion pictures of it before I ship it off halfway around the world to somebody whom I've never met in my life. 3nodding mrgreen mrgreen mrgreen Or I can just make two and keep one for myself. ^^ I'm hoping to find a scifi convention during the summer and dress up as Ten. heart heart heart blaugh Even though I'm a girl. Who cares??? mrgreen mrgreen

Actually, mum said she would knit one for me, but it means I'm going to have to pester her for ages so she can be bothered to find the yarn and all that. And actually make the scarf. In fact, I think everyone should make them because it's an awesome scarf. MAKE ONE NOW domokun

If I got the one in the diagram made it would probably be dragging on the ground becuase its too long. I'd have to adjust the measurements so it fits my height...

Ahaha, you're talking to the person who FAILED SEWING... and then dropped homec ASAP... But mum might have more of an idea. I'll ask in a bit when she isn't so busy. Gotta catch them when they're in a good mood...
But hey, idea, England and everywhere over there gets cold (as in, PROPERLY cold unlike over here...) ... anyway, do they sell trenchcoats over there? A plain dark brown long one could easily pass for a 4th Doctor coat. Plus I like trenchcoats anyway. So yeah all you lucky people oversease with real weather, do they sell trenchcoats?

I've yet to see them. I think you can probably get them from the kind of expensive and slightly upmarket places I don't really venture into, but to be honest you'd probably be better off looking in charity shops. I got the coat I used in my costume and an RAF officer's greatcoat like Captain Jack wears for £1 each. They're very good coats to, except on the rare occasions when buttons have managed to detach themselves.
