Fairgrass I think it should be all day to allow everyone a chance to stop in. I think I'll have to attend a school function sometime that day after all.
Fantasy Moon, the only thing I can think of as a good alternative is the Coal Gunner Hat. Well, maybe that's not exactly a good alternative...
Let us know what your alternatives are, in case we have some of those items. Wish I could help. Hmm, guess I might have to consider doing another character then. Will it be okay if I change my character?

Like I said awhile back, I do like the idea...I'm just not that good with costumes. I did play around a bit, though...

...*cough* Yeah, well, that's the best I could make them, using items. As it is, I'd need to undergo a gender change - are you able to do that on Gaia? (I do like the idea of going as Hook...Too bad there are no pot-bellies on Gaia; else, that'd be a good Smee.)
If I did Hook, I probably wouldn't be able to do the Ancient Katana, though.

Yeah, Nabokov's Lolita. I tried reading that book before, but library due dates... sweatdrop So I'm going to buy my own copy to read at my leisure. That usually works best.

In fact, the only things I don't have (aside from the obvious katana, which may not really matter) are the pants and the boots, since they're male-only, and I've been trying to determine whether there are any items that can be substituted for them that'd be female or both...

Alice's Black Boots could work for a female substitute, I believe. I have them if you wish to borrow.

Hmm....Well, it doesn't look quite as cool when you do it as a girl ( ), but I s'pose I can go with it.
In that case, Fantasy, I'd be grateful when it comes to borrowing the boots. Thank you.
After the boots, then, all I need for that image (aside from the katana) is a pair of Black Gunner Pants.

I've known about this since about the time the announcement was made, and I still haven't decided who to be. Maybe Eowyn, or school-girl Sabriel, or or or....Gah! I can't decide. It's tempting to go for Lily Harcourt from His Majesty's Dragon, but I don't know if I like her outfit as much and I haven't even finished the first book yet.

I've finally figured out who I'm going to be! At last!
Of course, it's actually a male character...but that doesn't matter too much, does it?
