She had lifted her head by now and was stretching her neck a bit. Turning her silver eyes towards Guilian, she smiled. "It was enough for now. If I get hungry again I'm sure I could go find some thing else."
With a flick of her tail, she covered the bare spot over again as she turned her body. Didn't need anyone tripping from the uneven ground. That might be a bit painful and she'd feel sorry if anyone had.

So she wasn't one of those that needed a great deal of food, eh? Well, that was nice to know. Too much time eating meant a loss of figure and a loss of time, both of which were highly undesirable. However, neither seemed to be an issue at the moment.
Stepping back over to the mare, Guilian once more offered her a smile and a wing. "Well then, Chica, if you have satisfied your hunger, would you do me the honor of letting me escort you about for a bit longer? This is a charming piece of real estate, after all...with all sorts of lovely private glades, if one knows where to look."

As he offered her his wing, she felt a bit awkward again but pushed it aside. She placed herself under it and looked up at him. Her eyes lidding for a moment. "Ok then. Lead on since you know this place better than I do."

Holding the mare firmly against his side, Guilian grinned and strolled along the riverbank. "Certainly, Chica. I've spent a great deal of time around here since coming to this area myself, so I'm sure you can understand my desire to learn more about it. There's something peaceful about running water, after all."
Even though said water wasn't running at the moment, the sight was still rather beautiful. Cold as it had been lately, the river had frozen as it ran, forming jagged creases and peaks of ice that if nothing else would providing footing to those determined to cross the water without benefit of wings. Walking in the direction that they were, Zhenga was on the riverside and Guilian on the side of the hill, theoretically giving the mare the better view.

Looking at the frozen water, she raised an eyebrow. The water wasn't running, at least not on the surface anyway. She could still see small silouhettes of fish swimming underneath the thick, icy surface. It was interesting how those fish survived even when the water got so cold. But perhaps they were used to it.
"Running water is nice, when it is running. It's strange how only the surface will freeze over but what lyes underneath still runs and harbors life." Blinking a few times, she looked at him out of the corner of her eye. Wondering if he actually had a plan right now of where to take her, or if he was just going to lead her around until she collapsed from walking too much.

"True enough, but just think of how nice it must be for those fish that live beneath the surface; instead of having to worry about predators from above the surface as well." Chuckling, Guilian spared the river a mere glance, too preoccupied with figuring out the best route to the glade on his mind to think too much about rivers.
However, it didn't take long for the route to come to him. As they reached a bend in to the river, a cleft in the hill appeared and it was to this that Guilian gestured Zhenga. "This way, Chica."

Zhenga thought about it for a moment then nodded her head. "Yes. I guess that makes sense. For a moment they don't have to worry about any hawks, wolves or bears coming to eat them. It's like some little paradise that they have for a few months a year."
As he gestured towards the cleft in the hill, she looked at it for a moment while she followed next to Guilian. She wondered how long it would be until they got to wherever it is that Guilian seemed to have made up in his mind to take her to.

"Indeed, Chica; under the ice, all they have to worry about is bigger fish; sadly for the little fish, there is always a bigger fish, no?" Quite the pleasant little picture, unless you happened to be one of those little fish. But then, a few less enemies had to be pleasant, as long as that didn't make them lose their guard.
But here now, he wasn't in the company of the lovely Zhenga to ponder fish. As he lead the mare through the cleft and up the path that lead back to the thicker section of trees, he leaned over and nuzzled at the mare's jaw, nibbling a bit at the corner of her mouth. "I hope that you are feeling pleasantly energetic after your meal, Chica, because this is going to be a very active evening, if I have any say in the matter."

"Yes. Though it can't be helped really. There's always going to be someone bigger out there that will take you out. It's just a matter of time before the big fish finds the little fish." She felt a bit sorry for the little fish. Everyone had a right to live, but such was nature. The smalled and weak die out while the stronger survive.
Her ears flatted back a bit as he nuzzled her jawline. Starting it this early? And they weren't even wherever it was he was taking her. He liked to get it going before hand I guess. "I'm always energetic. You never know when you might need that energy. And I'm sure it will be quite an active evening." The corner of her mouth curled slightly as she smirked. Her tail tapping against his hind leg once.

Ah, she was a feisty one alright, and made of stronger stuff than the last couple mares he'd encountered. He'd have to bring out his best game in dealing with this one, that he would; after all, this was a matter of personal pride now.
That in mind, he simply pulled back from the mare with one last little n**, content for now to simply keep her beside him as they made their way to a suitably private location. There would be time enough for that later...he'd make sure of that.
Even at their relatively slow pace, it didn't take long for them to reach the trees. Ducking his head once again, Guilian slipped off the path into the closely clustered trees, releasing Zhenga so that she could manuever on her own. Not enough room for side by side, not here. "Just follow my lead, Chica." Good enough advice for later as well as now, eh?

And here they go. Off to a place where no one could bother them. Or at least it seemed that way. She hadn't seen anyone else out and about.
She watched him for a moment as he ducked into the trees. Lowering her head so as not to catch her horn, she too slipped into the trees. Following closely behind him. Her eyes traveled to the black roses that were in his tail. They were interesting how they contrasted against the red. And yet pretty all the same. "I'll follow for now. Though later is another situation."

Since he was weaving through the trees, intent on making his way through the branches without catching his mane on any branches or tripping on the ground, Guilian's smile of amusement at Zhenga's comment went unnoticed by the mare traveling behind him; but as always, the amusement carried through in his tone.
"If you want to take the lead, Chica, I'd be more than interested in seeing what you came up with. Believe me, I fully endorse mares making decisions and taking the reins from time to time...helps keep things exciting, indeed it does." For many reasons. What sort of things did this mare believe in, he wondered? Well...he'd hopefully be finding out before too long.

Zhenga continued weaving through the trees, keeping her head low and watching her step. Once false move and it would be over. She'd either get snagged or trip. Either way wouldn't be all that awe inspiring.
"Really? Well, if I took the lead you'd never know where we'd end up." He could take that any way he wanted. A small smirk curled the corners of her mouth, but not like he'd see it as she was walking behind him. Giving a few flicks of her tail, she hummed to herself lightly.

"I'll be sure to keep that in mind, Chica; after all, just because one doesn't know where they're going doesn't mean that they won't like the place they wind up, eh?" Ah, this was what one might call entertaining conversation. Guilian did so love innuendo and double entendres, but he could only play with them in certain circumstances. Zhenga seemed to enjoy the sexually charged wordplay as much as he did, which ultimately meant that this particular traipse in the woods was passing much more pleasantly than it would have otherwise.
In fact, it seemed like hardly any time at all before Guilian was pushing through the last tangles of underbrush, blocking his face with one wing as he slithered out into a pleasantly sunny glade. No paths lead into it, aside of the one they had just made breaking through the trees, and overacrching tree branches made a semi-private roof for the mossy-bottomed. Very comfortable, very private. "This would be the place, Chica; what do you think?"

"It depends on the place and how fond of that place they end up is." She lashed her tail about to brush aside some small branches that were scratching lightly against her legs. The constant shooting of innuendos back and forth was quite amusing and a challenge all in the same.
Lowering her head, she pushed herself through the last of the tangles and trotted her way into the glade. She moved about silently for a moment, taking in all that was around her. It seemed to be a very far off shoot from any nearby paths. Turning her head as he spoke, she smiled and lidded her eyes. "It's a nice place. I wouldn't have thought such a place existed this far off the beaten path."
