Subacai To cheat or not to cheat: It's up to the player! However, if you're playing multiplayer with someone, unless you're both cheating, no way! Seconded, we play games for our entertainment and if you enjoy a game more when cheating then go right ahead. But as Subacai said, cheating in online games is a big nono for obvious reasons. I use cheeats occasionally when portions of games suck so much that I just want to get them over with, like the vehicle levels of Half Life 2, I used a cheat to skip those and move on to the next levels. And after finishing games it can be fun to use cheats and wreak random havoc, especially FPS games.

I only cheat when I really need help. Otherwise, I play through the game once, then cheat on the second time. 3nodding

it depends,.....i only use cheats when it unlocks special stuff....but never to make myself invincible or stuff like that

I cheat. A lot.
Infiniate Health, unlimited money... I usually skip unlimited magic, because that's just TOO easy.... and very rarely unlock everything.
...I would't get very far in Soul Calibur 3 without the invincability cheats. I stink. sweatdrop

I only have used cheat codes after beating a game. I have no issues with walkthroughs though 'cause you're still doing the work, your just not as confused as before.

Like Fidget.Fairy, I don't consider Walkthroughs to be cheating. You just have to be careful not to read too far ahead, or you'll spoil the game for yourself. Most walkthroughs have different sections for the"secret" things, anyway, they're not part of the main walkthrough.
Cheats on the other hand... mrgreen I've already expressed my views about that. I think Alaisha quoted my most succinct argument. ^.^

Tsamikayu Albino_Penguin_333 I only use "cheats" if I've beaten the game.
However, I sometimes use "walkthroughs" for a particular part if I've been stuck on that part for a few days.
I mean, if you're stuck on the same point for like a week, what's the point? You may as well just get past that part.
But stuff like cheats for "unlimited ammo" and whatnot are bad. Ditto. same here

I personally cheat if I am having dificulty in the game. Otherwise, I wait until I play at least one time. If it is too hard for me, I make a new game with cheats. Plus you gotta admit, if you ever played Destroy All Humans!, It is fun to be invincible, and be able to a**l probe people without being killed. ^^

I only cheat when its a necessity. I used to cheat a whole lot when I was a begginer gamer but now that I am more experienced I just use walk throughs and every now and then a cheat code.

Well it depends on the cheat, I use health and weapons for GTA all the time.
But I'll never even look up codes for some games. gonk

I cheat when I need to... Like on DMC3 SE, I just had to get Vergil's other costumes, and I couldn't wait, so CHEATING WAS THE ONLY WAY!! Doesn't bother me though... Cheating on a video game is fine... But on a test or something is just stupid! blaugh

Personally, I don't think walkthroughs are "cheating." They're "available resources," as my dad said once. But I think it's still cheating if you don't try to figure something else before using the walkthrough. But cheat codes- I went through a stage where I was cheat-happy. Then my games got a whole bunch of glitches and everything was screwed up. Yeah, never doing that again. It takes away the fun, actually, of some games. For example, I did it with LoZ: Wind Waker and skipped the whole Triforce quest by accident because of the cheats. Yeah, that wasn't fun. But cheats in, say, Super Smash Brothers or other fighting games are fine. Like, unlock all characters, costumes and weapons. That doesn't actually take away from the gameplay.

I don't think I have really said anything much on my own topic! gonk ::must now express her opinion::
I can't stand cheets, I hardly even agree with walkthroughs unless you are putting the iceing on the vertual cake of a game. I have never cheeted in a game in my life, unless you count the cheet I use on a fighting game I have when friends are over; my sister alwase starts new games so I have to use a cheet to get all the characters otherwise its no fun,
But really, I can't stand the thaught! I think one of the only times I have ever used walk throughs, even, was to put the fineshing touches on Kingdom hearts one and two! (( mostly because I would never find all those damn boxes on my own free will )) So when my friend asked for one on Devil may cry... I was ready to smack him for giving up so easily! (( I guess I think of cheeting as giving up sweatdrop ))
