Freize watched as the leaf jumped about, trying to register what was going on before falling back to his Fight or Flight instincts.. And finally decided on something. His tone grew stern, "Hey now, I know you were kind've cramped up in there, but you've gotta stick with it..." He faltered, wondering if maybe his leaf hadn't really gone into a fit because of being stuck in the dirt (but hey, when cramped in a small space for a long time you tend to get some pent up energy, os he was guessing Eva was releasing that..) "Or else you'll never..." He now tried to get closer and maybe grab ahold of it- he froze. It was... Glowing? "E... Eva...?"

But the leaf didn't stop jumping and swirling around as it started to glow more intensive. The room was enlightened by the brightness and for a moment it wasn't possible to make out the piece of a plant. A loud hiss escaped followed by a thud as the light vanished.

Evarobby, now a toddler, sat on the ground and stared up at his dad with a smile.

High Above

The little joey glanced up at what lay before him- the bookshelf his pot had been set on many-a-time as a leaf. His head tilted to one side, ears coming to full perk, two fingers planting themselves between his lips. He then, without further hesitation, reached up to grab two shelves up and did a little hop to get his feet up on the one below it. And then he began to climb.

It wasn't long before he nearly slipped, clinging to one shelf with tight fists, his flippy-floppy things having a bad grip on the shelf. So he haphazardly kicked them off before placing his feet back on the edge of the shelf. Up we go. He made a little hop once, skipping about two up. And then he almost could touch the ceiling. He reached a tiny hand up, groping upwards for it... Can't quite... Reach...

With little to no fear of falling, he attempted to prop himself up more just to get a touch of what lay above him... After failing, he pulled himself to the top shelf, dragging a small palm across the surface. Aha! He had done it. He smiled brightly and ducked in, creeping to the back of the bookshelf and curling up. It was nice back here. He gave a silent yawn before smiling and letting his eyes drift to a close.

Evarobby preffered being up high.

Note: PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE KANGAROOS

"How about this?" A violent shake of his head. ".... This?" Uh-uh. "Urgh... C'mon, just try something, won't you?" Evarobby frowned at Freize's dismay, but in all truth had no interest in the various meats and processed food that was being displayed before him. They all smelled funny too, and he didn't like it. His ears folded back, tiny hands over his nose. The weremutt looked at him evenly, and then sighed. It had been days and he had been unable to get the little guy to eat ANYTHING- that was unhealthy, even he knew. All of his other children ate in healthy proportion. Maybe not the same sort of food as Freize, but...

That made him pause in his thoughts- Hm... Ajani always bought all of that leafy food, saying that they were all going to get scurvy or something... Something about Hatori saying.... Something... Something something something.... Something like that. He went back to the fridge.

Eva glanced about the kitchen, which was currently alive with noise- the sound of creatures and the younger babies in the house, and all sorts of things, all echoing in from the hallways. He didn't like this room so much, though.. It always had that funny meat smell that he didn't like, mostly because of Freize's almost constant eating of meat.

"Aha! How about.. This?" The toddler examined the leafy green thing being held out to him, head tilting itself to one side, hands lifting from his face and extending towards it. It didn't smell funny... He took it into both hands, chewing at the leaf n a curious manner before munching at it happily. Freize beamed, "Atta boy." And then he went to fetch more.

Evarobby's tail swayed back and forth contentedly. This was good, he liked this! He was presented with a variety of vegetables, and ate only the green leafy ones. Freize gave him an apple too, which was devoured quickly. That one was Eva's favorite.

Freize took a look at all of the food Eva had refused to eat, which greatly outweighed what he had agreed to. He sighed heavily and rubbed at his temples.

Eva turned out to be one picky eater.

Speak

He had been trying to get him to speak or make some sort of sound ever since he became a toddler, besides this sort of hiss-of-breath and click-of-tongue the little guy did. Evarobby never budged. And it irritated the weremutt a bit.

Freize had other children, younger children, who were learning to speak and even just making baby-noises. Noises of surprise, squeals, laughter, displeased noises, incoherent babbling. Eva made none. He just went about quietly, not even making a noise when something startled him or when he was upset. And his father of sorts couldn't figure out what was going on.

He was in one of his attempted lessons right now, one ear drooped the other erect, head canted to one side as he watched Freize try and teach him to speak and make noise. The little guy would concentrate for a moment, and then just give up entirely.. And it wasn't a sort of open-mouth-make-noise something or other thing. He would tighten his mouth in a thin line and arch his brows, and as if he couldn't figure out how someone moves their tongue or uses their throat to make noise, he would just give up and let out one of his small hisses.

Freize sat back, frustrated. Eva smiled up towards him slightly, but drooped as one wasn't returned. Did he do something bad? Why was Da upset? He looked down at his feet and played with his flippy-floppy things, ears flattened back.

He earned a ruffle of his hair and a weak smile, which brightened him immediately.

And so Eva was silent.

Another Day in The Life

Smack smack smack, chomp.

Freize sighed lightly, holding the little squirt to his hip while he scanned the aisles thoughtfully. Eva refused to even ride in the cart. The weremutt had to CARRY him. The fellow didn't seem to mind, happily chomping on his apple and glancing about with perked ears. Occasionally one of those wierd ladies that seem to lurk at the grocery store would stop Freize and come at him in this wierd squealing way that he wasn't used to. He decided he didn't like wierd squealing ladies.

Ajani had become his official chief, fixing for him fruit salads, regular salads, vegetable-based dishes (that he often didn't like anyways,) and he had baked him an apple pie. Eva loved apple pie. And cherry. But that was it. Therefore, the one-winged angel would normally go out every other day to shop for food to feed the hungry little guy. Ajani was busy with work. Freize was stuck doing it. Freize didn't know much about all of that veggy-fruit crap. Mostly because the only "fruit" he ever really ate in his life were candied apples and wild berries.

After awhile more of searching, the two finally checked out and went back to the car, where Freize decided to once again figure out what his joey would eat. He offered him a hostess that he had bought for himself, "It's one of my favorites... I bet Teagan would eat it." He arched his brows in a convincing manner. Eva frowned slightly, ears drooping.. Freize and Tea ate it? Maybe it was good... It smelled kind've funny though...

He took a bit, and then spit it out after a millisecond of chewing, glaring at it as if it were possessed by the devil. Yuck. Freize sighed heavily and then pulled out his candy apple that he also had bought for himself, preparing to eat it on the way home. Eva examined it for a second before reaching out his hands. The weremutt eyed him warily.. "You want this?" The squirt smiled.

He spent the car ride home munching on the sweet apple cheerily, and at home downed a glass of milk before playing with Cougar and Chael. And then a nap.

What a day.

PD- Karoko and Eva

Freize
The little Eden was tucked safely in his caretakers arms- where he always insisted to be. That was one of the few things he was completely stubborn about. He NEEDED to be carried by Freize everywhere if they were going together, or else he wouldn't go. They reached the counter and his Da set him down and bent over to sign some papers and talk to some lady. He wasn't really listening, just looking around. There were a few other kids in here, but they were inside some kind of gate thing- he let out a hiss of breath as someone grabbed his arms and began leading him through the suddenly-open gate door, away from Freize. He looked back nervously, but his Da just smiled and waved. "I'll be back for you in a little while, okay?"

Freize was leaving, and the squirt was left staring at the gate door with a frown, a sticky nametag having been pressed onto his shirt.... What was going on? He turned to have a look around the room. Lots of big foam blocks, a TV hanging from the ceiling, some playset thing off in one corner.. Where was he? He let out another displeased hiss.

Noyama
In some ways, Karoko was not like her animal counterpart (aka the bat). The creatures of the night were swift where she was clumsy, crafty where she'd run and hide before solving any sort of problem, and thrived in the darkness she was oh-so-terrified of.

However, in some aspects, she was like that of the bat. For example, the ability to cling to the wall like that was certainly thanks to her 'soul'. Also, the way she screeched when the caretaker finally managed to get ahold of her sounded much like one.

"Karoko!" The poor woman begged, nearly dropping the toddler to cover her ears. "Please, dear, stop it!"

Freize
Eva's ears perked as the sharp noise reached him and he turned towards it immediately- he wasn't too surprised. Freize's music could get louder than that sometimes, so.. He tilted his head at what he saw- that girl had wings an' ears. Hmm...

He trudged over to the scene, or as close as possible, and just watched, two fingers jammed into his mouth. What was goin' on? He just stood quietly at the sidelines for now. That girl didn't seem too happy, an' neither did that stranger lady. Curious.

Noyama
"Can you get her mother on the phone please?" One woman called to another, the one at the desk, who already had the phone to her ear.

"I've got her on the phone now!" She called back, returning her attention to the conversation. "Um, yes, I know that Ms.Kther, but she won't stop crying and-" With a wince, the staff member pulled the phone away from her ear, away from the booming voice that burst out of it.

"I'M PAYING YOU TO KEEP HER THERE, SO DEAL WITH IT. YOU'RE SUPPOSE TO BE TRAINED IN THIS, AREN'T YOU? IF YOU CALL ME AGAIN I'LL COME DOWN THERE AND SLASH YOUR THROATS OPEN SO ALL THOSE DAMN KIDS CAN PLAY IN YOUR BLOOD, YOU UNDERSTAND ME?" Then the dial tone, and one wide-eyed employee.

Hearing Noharu's voice, even saying such things, the Eden's tears had came to a stop only to start again when the voice of her "mother" had faded. "Karoko, please!" Worker number two begged yet again. "Please, please stop!"

Freize
Yep. This girl seemed pretty sad. The little guy''s face screwed up into a thoughtful expression.. How could he help? This was one time he wished he could talk. And so, he just decided to work without talking. He began clucking his tongue in a surprisingly loud manner, hoping to get the lady''s attention.

He reached a hand up towards Karoko and then smiles, a tilt given to his head, one ear lowered and the other remaining perked. He wanted to help. He continued gnawing at the fingers of his other hand.. Of course, they had been told the toddler was unable to talk as of yet, and so his behavior shouldn''t seem too strange. Not too strange.

Noyama
"Oh, careful dear, don't get to close," warned the woman in a wary voice. This was their first day with Karoko, after all, who knew if she'd...bite him or something. It was obvious from the minute she'd come in she didn't like anyone she didn't know getting too close.

...Close being within four feet of her.

Her reaction to being reached for was mostly expected by the staff who had delt with her thus far. A scream, a normal toddler-sounding one as opposed to a bat-like screech. Following suit, she cowered back, eyes focused on the stranger not where she was going.

Over a small chair she went, merely blinking as she 'thump'ed onto the floor. "Ow..."

Freize
The little guy started at that, hand recoiling as she screamed, both ears drooping. No one had responded to the boy like that before.. Eva looked uncertainly towards the caretaker before edging towards the fallen girl. His expression turned to a worried one, but he kept his distance from her, plopping himself down in a sit.. He frowned around his fingers.

He didn't move after that, he just frowned at her in a concerned way, ears flattened to his head... Was he scary? No one had found the runt frightening before- after all, he was unusually small compared to most his age, so he wasn't used to people being nervous around him. He didn't know how to react...

Noyama
"Are you alright, dear?" The woman questioned, but made no move to wander closer, and emitted a light sigh of relief when the Eden sat up and nodded in response. "Oh, thank goodness." No more screaming, either, hopefully for a while. Two children across the room began arguing, distracting the caretakers attention.

No content to just sit there, Karoko took the time to herself to fiddle with her dress, nose wrinkling back. Now that she was a 'safe' distance away, her blue eyes lifted to examine the other Eden with more of an interest than sheer curiousity.

Hm...

Freize
The little guy cheered as soon as she nodded, pleased to find she wasn't hurt... But his ears remained drooped, mostly because she was pro'lly still afraid of him. He kept still, smile lingering as he watched the other toddler, head remaining tilted. Atleast she'd calmed down, too.

He wondered whether or not he should go foreward, but decided not to move for now. It'd last until he grew bored, atleast. He lifted the hand that wasn't in his mouth and waved towards the girl.

Noyama
The toddler jumped a bit at the motion, but a second later was waving back at him in a weak sort of way. Her hand had barely lifted before it lowered again, into her lap beside her other one, both of which were cletching at her dress yet again in the same nervous manner as before.

Noharu had said she didn't know why others found her so interesting when her first reaction was usually to run and hide, yet she'd already met two of the many Eden and gained them as some type of 'friend'. "What name?"

Freize
The boy's ears slowly lifted as the wave was returned, smile brightening. Maybe she wasn't scared of him no more. He crossed his legs now, tail beginning a contented sway behind him. He had sand stuck in the fur before, and him and Freize had gone through the painful process of getting it all out this morning... Blech.

He frowned a bit as she asked his name, seeming to concentrate a moment before sighing. This was a time when he wished he could talk. He bit into his lower lip lightly, puzzling over how to tell her who he was..

Noyama
"Oh." Karoko realized the problem immediatly. Being positive about it was due to having had the same one herself. Noharu had thought she refused to speak, but she just hadn't been able to at first, and even now she had difficulties.

Each sentence was a challenge, and not rolling her Rs was impossible. It was hard to place how she'd gotten such an accent, but her guardian had given up on getting rid of it long ago.

Motioning to herself, the Eden offered a weak smile and, "Karrrroko." Knowing he couldn't tell her his name, she decided just to nickname him until he could. One of her friends had nicknamed her, so it made sense.

Fuzzy Face.

Yes, that would work just fine.

Freize
Sure, he couldn't talk... But also, he didn't even want to try anymore, and that made a huge difference in his productivity in that area.. But he didn't make a lot of vocal sounds, actually. Or any. No whining, no squeals, no shrieks, no incoherent jibberish. The only sounds he really made were hissing noises when he was upset and he clucked his tongue when he wanted attention. It was like he was mute... But he wasn't, really.

The boy smiled as she introduced herself and nodded, ears giving a slight twitch. He glanced about the area now, trying to eye something that maybe they both could do- his eyes fixed on the netting on the outside of the playplace with the huge "DO NOT CLIMB" sign on it. Psh. He couldn't read. And he wanted to climb it.. He turned back towards Karoko now, wondering if there was anything she wanted to do. If not, he would show her how to climb real good. He loved climbing, and being up high.

Noyama
Despite the fact she was fleeing in terror only moments ago, that interesting had now become curiousity. Once that happened, the dangers she'd feared would fade from her memory just enough to get her up and moving. As long as she stayed a safe distant from Fuzzy Face, she didn't mind following him, seeing what he was doing.

Her eyes flickered to the playplace. It didn't look all that interesting to her, except if she wanted to hang upside down on it, but she didn't feel like it. Fuzzy Face must have had similar plans, or at least she assumed so. Noticing he didn't have wings like she did, she had to wonder how he planned to get that high. "No fly?"

Freize
The squirt blinked once or twice, and then gave a shake to his head and grinned slightly. He arched his brows, taking on a ''watch me'' expression before lifting himself to a stand and taking off towards the playplace, straight for the netting. Wow, it went all the way up to the ceiling. Something making sure kids didn''t fall or something like that... He kicked off his sandals and then immediately set out to climbing it, going at a surprising speed. Climbing was something he was naturally good at.

He occasionally gave a little hop, skipping about a foot upwards each time. Nice shortcut. He was about a little more than halfway to the top when a staff member noticed him and hurryed over, spouting some sort of worried nonsense he didn''t pay much attention to. He just picked up the pace and added more hops... Almost to the top... And then he''d jump down.. He grinned excitedly.

Noyama
All Karoko could do was gawk at him. Fuzzy Face was a good climber! No...amazing climber! When the shock of watching what to her seemed like such a daring stunt wore off, she clapped her hands together, obviously pleased with the performance. "Yay!"

Maybe she could fly that high, and be amazing too? One look at just how high 'that high' was and she decided against it. Forget that.

Freize
The little guy glanced back, pausing in his climbing to look at the other Eden.. And then he smiled and continued upwards. So close to the ceiling... He stopped as he finally reached as high as he could go, turning a bit. Some lady was upset and begging him to climb back down. Climb? That was no fun.

Instead, his muscles tightened as he turned a bit on the netting.. He coiled back and prepared... And then he kicked off, sent flying through the air- pretty far, especially for his age. Hey, he was a treekangaroo-boy. He stumbled as he landed and fell into a crouch. Some lady hurried over to make sure he was okay, and he just blinked at her worry. She carried him away from the playset, said somethin' about no more climbing, and let him go. He headed back towards Karoko. That was fun!

Noyama
Yet again encouraging such actions, she clapped her hands longer than the first time and smiled brightly. Next to Noharu, Fuzzy Face must be the bravest person ever, she decided silently. Too bad he couldn't say his real name yet.

"Good," offered the bat girl, the same word her 'babysitter' had repeated over and over when she seemed pleased with something. What to do now? It was hard when neither could talk. Her friends could all talk...

Freize
The little squirt smiled brightly and then plopped down into a sit. Hm... What to do now..? He watched Karoko for a moment or so, thoughtfully, and then perked. Aha! He wondered if she liked coloring. Chael liked coloring a lot, and could do even better than Eva sometimes, so maybe she liked coloring.

He tried to figure out a way to ask her, and then ended up miming, pretending to be coloring on a piece of paper, looking towards the girl with a curious expression.

Noyama
Oddly enough, the bat Eden seemed to be completely clueless as to what the motion was representing. Karoko spent most of her time hiding or following Noharu around, watching her guardian with her big, blue eyes, more like a hawk than a bat.

With all that, she hardly had time for normal things children her age did such as play games and color thing. Come to think of it, she wouldn''t be able to remember one time since sprouting from her ''leaf'' stage she''d held a crayon in her hand if one were to ask. "Cook...?"

He sort of looked like he was stirring...

Freize
The little squirt gave a tilt to his head, seeming a bit confused at first. Cooking? Hm... She didn't know about coloring? He'd have to show her then. He smiled and gave a shake to his head before moving back to a stand- he couldn't seem to keep still. Everytime he sat down he was up a few seconds later. Bah.

Eva trodded over to a caretaker and showed her the same thing, and was rewarded with some paper and crayons. He trodded back cheerily, and then showed the paper and crayons to the girl before sitting down and finally keeping down. He set the paper out, took one for himself, and then did the same with the crayons. He looked up towards her with the same 'watch' expression as earlier before beginning to scribble over the picture on his current piece of paper.

Noyama
Karoko didn't find this as interesting as most her age would've, but for good reason. Her tiny nose scrunched back, her eyes narrowed a bit to observe what he was doing more closely, as if it'd help her discover something. What was so interesting about scribbling on paper...?

Well, to each their own, right? He could climb, she could fly. She could cook, and he could...do this scribble thing. Despite her lack of appreciation for the art Fuzzy Face was provided her, "Prrrretty."

Freize
The little guy stared down at the scribbled-on paper and then frowned. Even Chael always did better than him at coloring, and he always tried to color the same but never could. It didn't look good to him.. He shook his head, but gave an appreciative smile to the girl. Atleast she was nice. He crumpled up the paper, threw it aside, and moved on to another piece.

This time he tried reeeeeal hard to stay in all of the lines, and he only colored in the different blues. Aha. It actually came out somewhat good- atleast for something done by a child anyways. He had actually taken it from something Chael had done. He smiled and settled back, pleased now.. He looked towards her, and then pointed towards the paper and tilted his head, in a "dont'cha wanna try" sort of way.

Noyama
(Sorry for the wait. o_o; I would've posted a few days ago, but I expected the guilds to go down... XD)

As if reading his mind (though it was likely his expression she was reading), the Eden scratched her head and pondered over it. Coloring... It didn't appeal too much to her. Her eyesight was bad, and the colors actually were more of a strain to her eyes than pretty. "Ummm."

This time, it appeared she wouldn't have to make up her mind. Was it time to leave already? The loud, "Karoko, get your a** over here!" from the doorway of the school assured her it was. Hard to believe the girl who had been screaming to get out of the place was now dissapointed about having to leave.

Her heavy sigh turned into a friendly smile as she looked toward Fuzzy Face, definetly a new friend. "Bye-bye!" Was offered before she scrambled over to her guardian and took her head. Her eyes flickered briefly over her shoulder before she left, ears twitching like crazy...

Freize
The little guy's ears drooped and he frowned for a second... No more playing? Oh well... His smile returned after a second or so, and he lifted his hand to offer a wave to the girl as she left... Ho hum. He glanced about at the other children, then abandoned his coloring to go back to playing on the PLAYSET. Aha. Thus ended another day at the daycare, with some woman yelling at him before calling his Da 'cause she didn't like him climbing. Oh well, he was done here anyways.

About a half an hour later, he was heading home.

(S'okay, I don't mind XD)

Freize
Well, it's been awhile since I've written anything, and so here I am. I actually have had a great deal of free time as of late- well, with the exception of Eva dragging me all over. But I don't mind, not really... But I do have a lot of kids to take care of right now... And I'm hoping I don't mess it up.

Evarobby seems like a good kid so far- he cares a lot about other people's feelings, at least. Or seems to. He doesn't talk yet... Which is odd.. Every other child I've seen is already talking, and Chael who is younger than him is starting to talk too. I'm a bit worried. Maybe I'll have to try teaching him some more. Oh well.

I guess what he lacks in words he makes up for in personality? Meh. Gotta go, the kids are calling.

That Haphazard Attitude

Blink blink. Silent yawn. Scritchscritch. Hmn... The little tot sat boredly on the top of his caretaker's desk, staring down at the book that the older male seemed fascinated with or something like that... Squinted at those scrawly little things on the pages, and then looked for pictures like he saw in the books Freize read to him and the other little kids. Nothin'. Huh... What was so great about those squigly-scrawlies?

He played with his flippy-floppies, hopped down and stretched out on the floor in the sun, climbed up and down the shelf two or three times, and then trodded into the kitchen to get himself an apple. He returned, smacking on it idly, raising his brows as he found the man -still- looking at all them squigl-scrawlies. Geez.. He was never gonna get to play outside at this rate.

He puffed out his cheeks and sighed, wondering if he should break the rule of never bothering Freize when he was busy, unless he had an owchy or something. Hmmmmmmm. He took another bite of his apple. AHA! Perfect idea. He'd go play out in the front yard all by himself.

The joey went right on out to the front yard, smiling a bit as the sun hit him. Mmn. Felt good. He stretched out his arms and did a little spin of sorts before stopping at staring up at the leaves of one of the biggest trees in their yard. And these were big trees- mainly because they were really old. And they weren't just big because he was little. They were big because they were some genuinely MASSIVE trees.

Eva grinned. Looked like fun.

It took perhaps fifteen seconds for him to abandon his apple and flippy-floppy things before he was inching up that tree. It was hard because the branches were so far away, and the trunk was really wide... But he was used to scootching up things now, and trees actually had some texture. It scraped a little, but he didn't worry about that now. He was climbin'.

It took maybe five or so minutes before he actually reached the first branch. He hoisted himself up and sat on it, huffing a bit. That was hard.. He'd have to do it more so it got easy. He stretched out his slightly-achey legs, wriggling his scraped toes.. Rested for a bit... And then he was climbing again.

He didn't reach the top, but stopped perhaps three branches higher than he was- it was bigger and easier to sit on. He nestled back against the trunk, letting his legs dangle from the sides of the branch. He wished he had an apple right now... He smiled to himself and looked out over the scene below him. He was always most comfortable when in places like this. And this tree was the highest he'd ever been.

It took awhile, but the weremutt finally took notice that his Eden was no longer buzzing around him. He lifted his head and glanced about.. Hm... He was worried now. Eva always kept close, unless he went off pulling one of his stunts. Freize stood and went to search the house. He found, after a bit, that the joey was nowhere to be found. This sucked. It really did. He gritted his teeth. Urgh..

He went out, and soon found himself staring UP, way UP at his child, who was calmly waving down towards him. If physically possible, he paled even more than his natural pale skin color... This was bad. "EVA. GET THE HELL DOWN FROM THERE."

Wha? Why was Da yelling? The little 'roo leaned over to look down at him, ears standing erect. He wanted him down..? Why? Oh well, time to jump now. He pulled his legs in, preparing himself to jump down. He was stopped by more yelling. "EVA, DON'T YOU DARE. DON'T YOU ******** DARE. YOU DON'T JUMP. CLIMB DOWN, EVAROBBY, RIGHT NOW."

Ears drooped... Freize was angry, huh? He decided to obey him, and turned to press back against the tree trunk and begin shimmying on down. As soon as he was within reach, a good while later, Freize swept him down and clung to him like any frightened parent would. "Damnit, Eva, you could've died! You almost KILLED yourself..." The little squirt didn't understand.. He just pressed his lips into a thin line and looked up at his Da with an expression of remorse. He just didn't want the weremutt to be angry.

Freize glowered down at him for a moment, heart still racing... And then he sighed and his expression softened. "I'm not mad.." The little guy perked immediately, and then beamed and threw his arms around his Da's neck. The 'mutt sighed. He carried the little guy inside and got him a fresh apple. What a day.

And perhaps this was foreshadowing; that Eva would always preffer trees, heights and jumping to those books with their squigly-scrawlies.

PD- Belinda and Eva

Ballentine
The day was quite warm, the sun beating down almost mercilessly as the children ran around the park. Ballentine had brought her children to the park to play, a special outing. Edward, Bricriu and Hugo were running around playing tag, Waya having wandered off and Belinda quite happy in the sandbox. Tasanee and Jason had stayed home, and Ballentine was content to just sit under a tree and read her book. Time to time she glanced up to check on everyone - and making sure they were fine went back to her reading. Besides her was a picnic basket that held snacks and drinks for the kids should they come to need it.

But to the important part, Belinda. The child was contently smacking the sand with her plastic shovel into the plastic pale. Though each time she tipped it to try and create that sand castle the sand wouldn't hold the shape of the shovel. Frustrated by the 4th try she growled a bit jamming the shovel into the annoying sand. "Stay!" She shouted at the pale turning it once more only to grow more frustrated as the 5th time failed as well. Why wouldn't it stay?!

Freize
Phew. The weremutt tilted his head back, staring up towards the sky for a moment or so, his thoughts disrupted by Eva's tugging at his hair. He half-smiled and then continued onwards. His other children had gone on a little trip with Ajani, leaving Evarobby who hadn't wanted to leave his side. Since everyone else got a little treat of sorts, he promised his joey-boy that they would go to the park. And here they were, at the park. The tiny Eden, a bit small for his age, was settled up on his Da's shoulders, little hands nestled in the navy hair. This'd be fun! Eva had lotsa fun last time he was here.

The male stopped, lifting the child from his shoulders to set him gently on his feet. Evarobby excitedly looked about, and then made his way towards whatever was closest. Which happened to by the sandbox. Ears perked, his expression grew curious and he peered over at the girl already occupying it... Whozzat? She had ears and a tail too! The boy beamed and want to settle on the edge of the sandbox, waving silently but enthusiastically at her. He didn't make noise. He never did.

Freize let out a sigh and glanced about. What to do now?

Ballentine
Seeing something moving out of the corner of her eyes, Belinda glanced up and focused upon the boy. He seemed... Annoying. Just by the looks of him! Pursing her lips into a little frown, that pale was tightly clutched into her little hands. "Wha?" It was a simple question as she tipped her head to the side. If this boy wanted the sand box he was in store for a grave misfortune... and a shovel in his face.

Freize
The little guy's ears folded back and he backed off immediately as soon as he picked up anger... He didn't like upseting people. He turned away quickly and just stared at the grass for now, trying to keep out of angry-girls way until she was okay and wanted to play. He liked to play... But she didn't seem to wanna right now... Maybe later... He squirmed slightly, frowning.

Ballentine
Relieved that the boy was leaving Belinda tried once more to get the sand to work right. Packing it in nice and good, this time with her hands, she'd turn it quickly upside down. "One.. Two..." She stared, and on three she pulled the pale up only to watch as the sand spilled into the pile.

"NAH!" She shouted in frustration, throwing the pale which would conveniently land at the boy's feet. From the sandbox, Belinda pouted. Great! Just great... Not only did she have bad sand now she just lost her pale.

Getting onto her hand and knees she crouched real low, her nose practically inhaling the sand on the edge of the sand box as she watched what the boy would do. Would he touch her pale or simply walk away? Though she knew if she left the box the chubby kid on the swing would come and claim in... that chubby kid had been eyeing the box since she got in. Oh the drama of a child's playground!

Freize
Of course he couldn't just sit there and wait. Bah. That was far too boring. So he turned his attention to the sky for a bit, watching as birds flew by and landed in the trees... Ooh, trees! He would have to check those out later! He loved trees. Eva blinked, ears swivveling towards the thunk of something at his feet. Whazzat? A pale? Didn't that girl...

He stooped to cautiously pick it up, turning his body now towards the other Eden, extending it out infront of him and trudging a bit closer. He offered it out to her, head tilting itself to one side. Why had her pale gone flying? He was certain pales didn't fly... Maybe she was magic or something, this girl. She could make pales fly. He wished he could do that, but he could only climb real good. Oh well. He gave a crooked smile whilst playing gentleman, remaining silent.

Ballentine
Belinda's fingernails dug deep into the wood of the sandbox. Well.. What fingernails she had as she chewed them on occasion. The boy touched it.. He was touching her pale! A low growl would emit from her throat as the boy approached and once in arms reach her arm shot out. Almost instantly the pale was once more in her grasp. "Thanks 'mate.." She whispered... Ballentine had at least taught her some manners!

Looking up at Eva, she would point down at the sand and quite simple demand. "Make da sand work. It no work! See..." Quickly the pale was filled once more, the grains spilling a bit over the top. It was another attempt that she knew wasn't going to work, but it was going to make her point. And just as she assumed when she tipped the pale the sand spilled around instead of keeping the pale shape. "Want sand castel." ( yes it's spelled wrong on purpose XD )

Freize
The little guy just smiled, although a bit hesitantly... She still seemed upset, but she thanked him... His tail picked up a sway behind him as he fixed his eyes on the sand that apparantly wasn't working, wrinkling his nose and wracking his toddler-brain in an attempt to think up a solution. He popped two fingers in his mouth, gnawing at them uncertainly... Tick tick tick... Aha!

When he and Freize had come with the other two, they had played in the sandbox and Da had gotten water to get the sand wet! Now he just had to get it across to the girl. He glanced about quickly, and then began the process of pointing at her pale and then a nearby water fountain. They needed water!

Ballentine
A point was her answer. The boy... Pointed. Her eyes followed the direction of the point but what was the answer!? What the hell was she supposed to look at?! Growing a bit irritated by the boy she reached out and roughly tugged him into the sand. Before he knew it he'd be laid on his back and pinned down. Belinda was small, but man did she pack some strength into her.

Sitting on the boys stomach she'd look down at him, "Make da sand work." Ok... That wasn't making the sand work... Nor would the boy be able to with her sitting on him... But how would she know that? She's just a little girl!

Freize
The little guy lay there dazed for a moment, and then seemed to figure out what kind've girl she was... Ohh, okay. So she was kinda the angry sort, and a little rough like Cougar. His ears drooped and he frowned up at her, attempting to worm his way free. He would just have to show her what he meant. In order to get free, he curled his knees up slightly and spread his feet before pushing up with all of his strength. The kid packed a punch in his legs, and bucked rather forcefully upwards in an attempt to rid himself of the girl. It was the first thing that came to mind. Maybe it'd even work.

Ballentine
Belinda felt the boy wiggling under him, though she had more brothers than sisters and was quite used to wrestling... Though sometimes the boys did win. Sometimes. However what Eva did had completely surprised her and her small body flew backwards with such momentum that she couldn't stop herself. Not that she would have the coordination to anyway.

There would be a small thud as her body hit the ground. It wasn't like she flew feet away, only a few inches but even that was proving a problem. The two having been so close to the edge of the sand box to start with resulted in Belinda smacking her head against the wooden box. She lay still for a moment before groaning.

"Ow..." She whimpered as she sat up, a sand covered hand reaching up to rub at the small bump upon her head. Green eyes welled with tears as she turned her head to look Eva. That... That boy... Face scrunching a bit, she took in a deep breath then let out a wail of a scream. Tough it wasn't a scream of pain, it was almost like a battle cry!

Before the boy had time to react the girl was tackling him into the ground, "Dat hurt! Say sowwy!" She screamed, gripping Eva's shirt and shaking him furiously. "Say it!"

Freize
Phew... The boy felt temporary relief as the weight on his belly was gone, but it was gone after a few seconds. He lifted himself to prop up on his elbows, ears perking, eyes growing wide. He hadn't meant to hurt anyone, he had just..! He flinched slightly and sat up hurriedly, biting into his lower lip... Oops...

The feeling of dread grew. Here came impending doom. She was upset. Very very upset. He let out a displeased hiss of breath before finding himself pushed back into the ground, and he was laying there whilst being violently shaken. He just stared up at her with wide eyes, surprisingly not releasing any sort of noise. No whine, no apology, no distressed noises. Just silence. His expression went from shock to a more apologetic on after a moment or so, teeth setting into his lower lip... He was sorry...

He wished he could say it, too. Eva lifted a hand, and after much effort he finally managed to get it to land on her shoulder lightly. He was sorry... Sorry... But he couldn't say it... He just didn't want anyone upset, or anyone hurt... Accident... He didn't mean to... He looked up towards her in a sad sort of way. He really didn't mean it. He was so caught up with that he didn't even seem to notice he was being flopped around like a ragdoll. Oh well.

Ballentine
Belinda found shaking the boy useless... He wasn't even saying he was sorry! He just kept staring at her like she was insane! Though thankfully for Eva she was losing power in those shakes, growing tired from the exertion. Finally she let him go, still sitting atop him while she panted a bit. It was a pointless fight and usually by now her brothers had apologized. Why didn't the boy!?

Reaching a hand up she lightly rubbed at the bump on her head and frowned. "Meanie.." That's what the boy was. He was the meanie!

Freize
The runt's eyes widdened slightly, and then he frowned and his ears pinned back to his head. Eva didn't like this. He drew in a deep breath, and then moved to pat over where the bump was on her head gently, in an apologetic way. He was sorry... He hoped he got his point across- she didn't get them too good, but he decided thats just because he had only learned how to get stuff across to his family and his Da, and that his ways of showing stuff must only be for big-peoples to understand. Karoko hadn't understood him either...

Hopefully Belinda would get it, though.

Ballentine
"Oooow." She whined, brushing the boy's hand way. "No touchin'....!" Poking at Eva's chest rather harshly she crossed her arms over his chest. "You a big meanie..." Still seated on the boy, though now having slipped down into his lap rather than his stomach, Belinda crossed her arms to pout. Seriously... Why did the boy have to touch her ouchie?! It would just make it throb more.

"Why you no say sowwy yet?" She asked bluntly, staring hard at him. Everyone else says their sorry to get her to stop hassling them. Though in a way this boy had waited out the storm...

Freize
Eva sighed lightly, frowning to himself. Sometimes his ideas didn't work so good, but he always seemed to be getting 'em... Until now. He had no idea how to show that he couldn't speak. Normally Freize was around to tell someone, and Karoko had figured it out all by herself... He concentrated for a moment, trying to speak.. Nope. Nothing. He pressed his lips together in a thin line, trying to think something out. He didn't like this at all.. These were the times he wished he could figure out how to move your tongue and stuff and make words and sound come out. Oh well. It was still some foreign thing for now.

It wasn't the roughness he seemed to mind- bah, that was okay. He could hold out through any of that sort of thing- it always came down to the emotional stuff. He hated people being angry or sad or scared because of him.. And he hated being unable to make things better. He tilted his head to one side slightly.

Ballentine
"Huh.." Belinda let out a huff, cheeks puffing slightly before all the air was released. "Fine.. I'll pway the quiet too. But make da sand work." Finally freeing the boy from her weight, even if not all that heavy, she crawled off him and over to her shovel and pale. "It no work. Fix it."

Belinda looked at Eva once more, and then there it was. A heart stopper should anyone in her family hear the word. "Pwease?"

Freize
The little guy seemed relieved that she wasn't too upset anymore, smiling a bit and straightened himself up, a little bit of sand that had collected in his shirt coming loose and sliding down. He watched the girl a moment, and then nodded and then made his way over on his knees. He took ahold of her pale now, pushing himself to a stand before trodding towards the nearest water fountain at a quick pace. He figured that both taking her thing and taking time to fix the sand might upset her, so he had to hurry...

Wow, this thing was big... He placed the pale on his head, lucky that only a little bit of sand was let inside, and then placed both hands on the side of the water fountain, followed by his feet, and then he was shimmying upwards. He kept himself propped up by clasping the sides of the fountain with his feet, which was hard because he didn't take those flippy-floppy things off.. He pulled off the pale and after some banging on the strange water-depositing machine he filled it with water. He let go, falling back to the ground on his rump, pale in his lap. Some water sloshed over onto his clothes and legs, but he didn't seem to notice. He just stood and began his hurried toddle back to the sand box.

Ballentine
Belinda's mouth had opened, wanting to protest about her pale being taken but found the boy running away too fast. How rude! He just up and took her thing. She had started to go after him, getting up and taking a few steps from the sand box, but caught that gaze of the cubby kid and almost instantly jumped back inside. She'd have to wait... Even if that wasn't one of her promising talents.

Crouching low once more, she laid her chin against the wood to watch the boy from the distance. What was he doing? Having never gone to the beach before, or even played in the sand before, she had no idea that water would in fact hold the sand together. She had only seen sandcastles being made on the TV or heard her siblings talking about it once. And she always wanted to make a sandcastle of her very own! At least here in the park sandbox no big bully would come by and step on it right? Or where was that mischief Briciru... Belinda would have to keep an eye out for her mean big brother.

Freize
Eva made his way back with some trouble, water sloshing out over the sides and his walk more a waddle. He had never carried one of these before... They were kind've heavy. Freize had always brought the water. That must mean his Da was real strong if he could carry a full pale so easy.. After much effort he got backto the square of sand and attempted to slip in with the pale near Belinda, trying to dump out the contents of it out onto the sand.

Then what would they need to do..? The little squirt racked his brain for what it was that they always did to make sand castles... Then fill the pale and... Do that tippy thing, and..

Ballentine
Belinda moved away from the spilling water, not wanting to let any of it get onto her. It wasn't like she'd melt if the water touched her, she just didn't want to get wet.

Leaning forward she looked down at the wet sand curiously. Well what did that do? Was the boy just crazy and wanted to make all the sand wet? Curiously those green eyes turned up to look at Eva with a 'what the hell was that for' expression written across her face.

Freize
The boy looked towards her with a look of his own- more of a "trust me" sort of expression, though, a smile coming to him now. He began scooping with his hands and dumping the wet sand into the pale, deciding to leave the shovel be... He had probably already upset her by grabbing her pale already. He had to be good.

The little guy was trying to work quickly, so as to show her why he had made the sand all wet. He wasn't really sure why the sand needed to be wet, but he was sure someone had told him so. Therefore, it was law.

Ballentine
She watched, one eyebrow slightly raised above the other. Ok.. So. What she had to do was get water and pour it on the sand. Then pack it in real good? Water was what she needed all along?! Well wasn't that just peachy and a waste of her time. Well.. The boy still had to tip the pale and prove that water was the miracle in the situation. She slightly hoped it didn't work just to laugh at him. But then again she did want to make that castle. Oh the pros and cons.

Freize
Eva patted in the sand real well, biting lightly into his lower lip.. Now.. The tippy thing. He tipped it all the way over, and then let it sit for a moment before slowly trying to pull it up. The sand stuck together, and kept up. The little guy smiled some. It wasn't as good as something his Da would do, because he was so much younger, shorter, and weaker than the weremutt, thus pulling the pale off neatly was much more of a hard task.

He looked curiously at the girl now for her response, ears coming to a full perk, a hint of a hopeful smile on his lips. Had he done the right thing, or would she not like it?

Ballentine
It... Was... AMAZING! Belinda's face lit up almost like a Christmas tree as she stared at the sand. It stuck together! Laughing out happily she leaned over to start and pick away at the sand. "We gots ta make da winders now! Come on mate.. You do too." It was almost a completely different girl at Eva's side now that she was happy and the sand was working right.

Giggling once more she continued to carefully pick away at the sand and carve out windows and the door to the sandcastle. "We gotsa make sure no one smooches it."

Freize
The joey brightened at her reaction, tail beginning to sway behind him in the sand. He beamed slightly, nodding and going to carefully- well, as carefully as a toddler can- try and help her make the windows. He liked making castles- it'd be fun. Maybe they could go find some stuff to decorate it with afterwards, too.. It'd be the best castle ever.

He gave a tilt to his head, one ear perked and the other lowered as he pondered, wondering why anyone would wanna smush it... Well, he never really experienced that fear, seeing as with Freize around no one ever really destroyed anything of his. Except maybe Cougar, but that was just because he was wild.. Were people like that at the park? He may not have really understood all the way, but he nodded. He would help keep their castle safe.

Ballentine
"La la la!" Belinda sang a bit as she worked, even began to hum as she let her tongue hang out just slightly from her lips. It was some hard work! Having to concentrate to get the windows done nice without the whole side of the castle crumbling.

After a bit she leaned out of the sandbox, grabbing a twig to stick into the top. She had no flag so that was just going to have to do. It was of course a pretty shabby castle and no royal family would ever live in it. But it was paradise in her eyes!

Smiling happily at Eva she let out a little giggle. "All done?"

Freize
The little male swayed back and forth idly, feet slipping out of his sandals before he shifted to sit cross-legged. He squinted a bit everytime he worked at a winder, but a little tiny bit of the castle always crumbled along with what he wanted gone... Oh well, not enough to really notice. He smiled to himself merrily before settling back to look over their work... Not bad! He liked it, really. Well, his imagination also changed it into something much greater than it really was, but nevermind that. It was a grand castle.

He turned to Belinda now, and then nodded cheerily. He couldn't really think of much else to add to it... So, it was done! Ta-dah! He beamed.

Ballentine
So.. It was done. This had been her whole point of the day was to make this castle and now... Now what? She frowned a bit as she looked from Eva down at the castle. She couldn't cram a doll in there, the sand would just crumble. Looking up she cast a glance around the park.

"We go pway sometin' else?" She asked, already start to pack up by first batting the last of the sand out of the pale then added the shovel inside.

Freize
The squirt admired their work for a few moments longer before looking towards the girl once again, blinking once or twice. Play somethin' else? Well, okay. He smiled a bit and was once again nodding, wondering what they might play next... Oh, maybe he could get to try and climb up one of the big trees. That'd be real great.

Eva was all ready to depart the sandbox, but it seemed a lot less eager to depart from him. Clinging to his clothes and hair were bunches of sand, and spilled across his front was a splotch of water. He had definately seen better days, although he didn't seem to care about his appearance, or how he was wet and gritty. He just pushed himself up into a stand and prepared to get going.

Ballentine
Not like Belinda cared much for his situation either. Had they been older perhaps some snide comment would have been made. Quickly standing with the pale in hand Belinda started out of the sand box, stepping carefully over the edge so she wouldn't trip. "I jes gotsa put dis by Mommy!" She announced, smiling at Eva before she ran off towards a silver haired woman sitting under a tree.

A few minutes later and after getting her face wiped off as a bit of sand was stuck to it Belinda would run over to Eva. This was her new friend after all and she was going to have some more fun with him! Grabbing his wrist she started to tug him off towards the swings that were now vacant. "We go here!" It wasn't a question... It was a demand.

Freize
The male watched as she went off, moving to grab the flippy-floppy shoes and put them by the sandbox so he could get them later. He took this moment that he was alone to look around for Freize, spotting him reclined in the grass on a hill. He relaxed a bit, happy to find he hadn't been left behind- he normally didn't worry about that, but for some reason today he had- and then the girl was back and he was being tugged off.

Eva just smiled now, trodding along after her. He didn't seem to mind getting dragged around, and was happy to find they were going towards the swings. He loved the swings. He nodded enthusiastically- this'd be fun!

Ballentine
They got to the swings just in time! A few other kids having started over but stopped when Belinda happily claimed one swing with her butt, already starting to push off with her feet. "I like da swing!" She said to Eva as she looked over at the boy.

Now out of the sandbox that chubby kid had in fact gone over and take in... destroying their castle! But thankfully Belinda's attention had turned from the sand to the boy besides her.

Freize
Tralala. Eva climbed up onto a swing himself, taking a moment to wonder if he could climb up to the top of the swingset... That'd be fun... But just swinging was fun too. He loved the swings. The could bring you up so high, and then you got to jump out. And Da didn't yell at him when he went high and then jumped off the swings, so its all good.

He nodded in agreement with her, grinning. As mentioned, he looved the swings. He kicked off forcefully, going a good distance back. He had some power in those legs.

Ballentine
So the two would swing for awhile, Belinda never really getting as high as Eva but boy did she try! She kicked and pushed, pouting as she watched the boy go higher than her. She wanted to go that high too!

After awhile she began to tired, finally stopping her attempts to get higher and let herself swing back and fourth and slow down. "Nnn.." She let out a small yawn, letting go of the swing chain with one hand to cover her mouth. Today had been quite eventful and was finally starting to show.

Freize
Eva had a pretty good energy reserve- he still had quite a bit left. Maybe it was from being pent up all day before he and Da came to the park. That hadn't been fun. He'd been all cramped up and stuff.. But as he turned his attention from his swinging to the girl, he noticed she was beginning to tire... He slowed at first, but then decided just to end his swing-ride then and on the next swing he jumped on out from it, landing on his feet- stumbling a bit, but landing on his feet. He made his way back to sit in the swing, stretching his legs out.

Today was fun. Lotsa fun.

Ballentine
"Aha!" Belinda laughed as she watched Eva jump from the swing. She wouldn't dare try that! Oh no she'd end up hurting herself for sure. "You a good jumper huh?!" She asked, still slowly swinging back and fourth, though now she had let her feet drag to slower her down even more.

"You all done swinin'?"

Freize
Eva brightened and nodded cheerily- he loved jumping. Climbing, mostly, but jumping was good too. It was all just fun. Sometimes Da said it was bad, but... Bah, Da wasn't right alla the time. He began an idle back-and-forth motion on the swing, letting himself settle down.

He looked over to her curiously, ears perked, and then shrugged a bit. Swinging was fun, but she seemed kinda tired..

Freize
Eva took hold of the hand that had gone for his, slipping out from the swing and glancing about thoughtfully... Where to play... His eyes fixed on where the monkey bars and slide were, his ears coming to a full perk, an excited smile crossing his face. He pointed and then began his walk towards the playplace.

The slide was okay and stuff, but he loved climbing to the top of the monkeybars. It was his favorite, with the exception of the jungle gyms- which were actually meant for climbing. He hadn't seen any of those, so this'd do.

Ballentine
Belinda giggled happily as she followed the boy, humming a bit to herself. "I wike da swide!" She announced, letting go of Eva's hand once there to climb up the small ladder that lead to the top of the slide. "You swide to?"

Freize
The squirt watched her for a second, blinking as she asked him something, a tilt given to his head... And then he nodded and smiled, moving to climb up along behind her. He wanted to slid- he liked climbing best, but sliding was good. He could slide for now. It was all fun. And thats what mattered.

Ballentine
Happily she sat down no the top of the slide, getting into position to slide down. Looking over her shoulder she smiled brightly up at Eva. She'd let herself push forward, squealing out a "WHEE!" As she went on down the slide, arms out stretched as if she were flying. "FUN!" She laughed as her feet touched the bottom, running off towards the ladder to repeat the fun!

Freize
Eva stood at the top of the slide, looking out at the rest of the playground. Wasn't really high, but good enough. He took in a deep breath and then slipped down into a sit, after doing so giving a forceful push, grinning as he went flying down the slide. He did a little spring-hop as he reached the bottom of the slide, landing on his feet and running full speed in order to get back up. This was great!

Ballentine
Belinda was giggling happily by the time Eva got to the ladder. The small girl was already on her way up the steps, careful not to fall. It was almost like a race, though she couldn't lose as there was no way for Eva to get around her.

Plopping down once more on her bottom she let out another squeal as she once again slid down the plastic slide. Though this time as she hit the bottom there was not happy giggle but a small wince as she fell. Sniffing a bit she crawled a few inches away from the slide to flop onto her butt and look at the scrapes on her knees.

Freize
Evarobby liked climbing up the ladder, too- climbing was great fun. He was good at it, too, most probably because his tail helped balance him out a great deal. He stopped at the top, watching the girl as she went down and then froze... Something wasn't right. He made his way down the slide quickly, hopping once again to his feet before moving to crouch beside his new friend with a frown and a tilt to his head... Uh-oh... He bit into his lower lip and let his fingers come to rest lightly on his chin, ears folding back.

This was bad. (*kicks his computer* x____o)

Ballentine
Belinda had started to cry, tears running down her nose pink cheeks. The sand was in the small scrapes and was starting to hurt. "Ow...." She whined, starting to rub at her boo-boos. "Mommy!" She screamed at the top of her lungs, tears now streaming down her cheeks.

Ballentine was used to all her children screaming for her, one always getting an ouchie at some point. Putting her book down she stood and quickly scanned for where the injured girl was then went to rescue.

HQ Visit

Dulcea
Teagan jogged down the sidewalk, jumping into a cartwheel as he got closer to the building. Usually, he was upset when he came to the project house, but today, he was floating. Coach had really given him a chance, all he had to do was.. Well, he'd figure that out later, but in the meantime, he would just be happy with the spot, and his new favorite possession, a black warm up jacket with a gymnastics symbol on it, Coach said he could earn little medals to put on it if he ever qualified to compete.

Noyama
Inside the HQ, Karoko sighed heavily staring at the floor...down at the floor.

Ever since Noharu had left, things hadn't been going so well within her household. Lockee was a bad parent, hence why Karoko refered to her as 'the bad one'. She didn't care much about anything but herself, the Eden had noticed.

It didn't surprise her, even at such a young age, when she was given a ripped-up pair of purple pants and an old, white t-shirt to wear for the day. Afterwards, she was promptly shoved out the door, brought here, and left.

Bad Lockee.

All things considered, the bat girl was contently hanging up-side-down from the couch handle. It was so quiet in here, though...

Dulcea
(( The jacket: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y60/Dulciespets/jacket1.png ))

Teagan slipped around the back of the building, intent on not making quite so much of an enterance as he had in the past. One, he didn't think anyone would still give him slack for "not knowing any better" anymore, and two, Momma had something she could take away now, and there wasn't anything he would do that would be worth losing his team privileges. With a tiny bit of insight, he remebered to open the back window instead of just crashing through it, setting down on the kitchen floor with a little tap. "Hello? Anybody here?" He called, halfhoping no one was. Sure, he would have loved to tell someone all about his new hobby, but he also would have liked just practicing his floor work alone. Alone, that was a new thing for him.

Noyama
For a moment, Karoko pondered over saying nothing. Before she was just quiet, now she just plain didn't feel like talking. Maybe it would be nice to see one of her friends, though. Teagan was one of the few she considered a friend. Most everyone else was just scary.

"I'm herrre," she offered finally, her voice less meek an nervous than it had been during their first meeting. If only to please Noharu, who she wished was present, she'd finally begun speaking in full sentences and answering questions instead of just nodding or shaking her head.

Chalda
Chalda had spied the boy she was looking for just as he went around the corner. She recognize him from his brief appearance at the beach. She tried to call out to him but clearly he didn't hear her as he disappeared from view. Bending over she lifted the cardboard box off the ground. The contents shifted and temporarily set her off balance. Struggling she stood up straight as the little puff came wizzing out from behind her hair. "I'm sorry Mai, I didn't mean to wake you." She nuzzled the puff with her face since her hands were full. "Hurry we need to get this to that boy before goes inside. She stuggled around the coner under the weight of her package just to see his tail disappear in the window. "Shoot" she muttered under her breath. "Teagan!" She called out hopeing he would hear.

Dulcea
Teagan's ears perked up as he searched for the source of the sound. Strange, it had sounded like someone saying his name? Ah well, he'd figure that out later, for now, he had to find the one that had answered him. Karoko, he thought it was, but she didn't talk much, did she? Well, maybe she'd calmed down a bit, it would have been hard to stay that highstrung for long. "Kar-kar?" He offered, asking more where she was than if it were her. Flicking his tail curiously, he started to search the main room, completely oblivious to her fairly easy to spot loaction (He was looking for her in her dress), even looking under the beat up beanbag Ul had dragged in there what seemed like so long ago. Maybe she was on the ceiling? She was a bat after all, and bats like hanging from things. Course, he liked hanging from things too, and he would have noticed a place up there before. Well, other than the light, but he didn't think she would be too inclined to perch on something that moved so much.

Noyama
Blue eyes widened in alarm when the other voice rang out. It was that lady from the beach, wasn't it? She was scary. Sure, Karoko was more sad than anything due to the lack of Noharu around recently, but that didn't stop her from being a coward.

Flipping over, barely managing to land on her feet, she lifted up the flap of the couch and hurried under it, remaining silent. Maybe Teagan would just think she left or something. It wasn't that she didn't want to see him, but what if more people came?

Chalda
Chalda got to the window just in time to see his tail disappear into the next room. She looked at the window that had been left open. No one had invited her in so it wasn't really right to just climb into someone else house but she needed to deliver this package pretty soon. It was getting heavy! A bit shy on intrudding on their privacy she called out quietly "Hello? Teagan?" before she got a response the box shifted again and she had to bend down to steady herself.

Dulcea
Hmm.. Strange, she wasn't there. Oh well, if she wanted to be found he would have found her by now, sometimes Kaori was like that at home, trying to get people's attention then just poofing off to nowhere when she changed her mind. His ears twitched, there was that other noise again. Wait, that was his name! Maybe momma was after him! Quickly, he scampered back to where he had come in, looking a bit startled when he came face to face with no one instead of his mother. "Hi there?" He asked, climbing up to look out the window. Oh! There was a person down there! Alright, so maybe he should invite her in. With that little manners spark, he scuttled out the window and motioned for her to follow him around to the front door, it would be easier than trying to wedge the box through with her.

Chalda
Chalda looked up as she steadied herself "Teagan!" she exclaimed, proud that she had finally located her target person. "I have something for you and Dulcea." as she spoke he motioned her to go around the house. Hoisting the box she made it too the door where he waited. She held out the box. "For you!" She said triamphantly. At that moment something black lept from the box and streaked into the house. Chalda squeeked and dropped the box in suprise.

Dulcea
He blinked, dropping onto all fours when the box hit the ground. This thing was fun already! Looking up with a wide smile he spoke, "For me? Thank'oo ma'am! Now I gotta catch it! You can sit down somewhurs if you wanna." With that, and a little flick of his tail, he got back up and tore after it, though the way he was leaning down he might as well have stayed crawling. Ok, so it wasn't the best of manners to leave her there by herself while he was after this thing, but he could get in trouble if it broke something, usually when things got broked it was his fault.

Chalda
Chalda was totally suprised by Teagan's reaction. "You're welcome!" she managed to mumble out before he had left the room. "Don't hurt it!" She called after him. "It's a pet! Not food!" She cautiously came in and closed the door behind her. Looking around she picked a small chair and sat down just on the edge of it. He had invited her in but she still felt a bit akward alone in a house she had never been in before.

Dulcea
After a few minutes, and a few loud crashes, Teagan returned to the main room, holding it up in front of it. Truthfully, the critter didn't seem too happy about getting caught, but instead of retaliating just donned a disinterested expression and skittered under one of the tables to sleep when he put it down. He settled on one of the other chairs beside her, wiping the bit of blood off his cheek from where it had scratched him. "Don't have to worry bout me eating it, I'm a vegetablearian. My name's Teagan Elliott Russo, but I guess you already knew that. What's your name?"

Chalda
Chalda stood as he bought the special cat back into the room. "Well I'm glad you wouldn't eat it. My name is Chalda." She poked the lump that had settled behind her head and it flew out. "And this is Mai. She's a Wethkin. I'm sorry the kitty hurt you. And I hope your mommy likes it. Do you want to give it a name?"

Dulcea
He tapped his cheek, "It's fine. And it's nice to meet you Miss Chalda, and Mai." With a wary glance to the cat, he thought of one of Ul's cousins, with a similar funny attitude, "Skye. I like the name Skye." He kicked his feet back and forth, pretending they still didn't touch the ground when he sat. Which, they did, but in the long run tricks would be more fun if people thought he was smallish. "Want something to eat?" Ok, he couldn't cook that well, but there were a few things, and he was hungry all ready.

Chalda
"Sure!" Chalda hopped up. "I can cook lots of good stuff if you have all the 'gedients." Plus she had had to get up pretty early to get the kitty here and had skipped breakfast because of it.

Dulcea
Tea hopped off the chair, remembering he hadn't said anything about what to call him, "You can call me Tea if you want." With that, he scampered off toward the kitchen, set on finding some kind of fruit, maybe Momma had left some sugar cane there last time she'd come?

Chalda
"Ok Tea" she said as he left the room. She kneeled down and petted Skye before following him. "You can call me..." She started but wasn't sure how to finish. "Well I guess most people just call me Chalda. That's kind of boring isn't it?"

Dulcea
With a little effort, Tea pulled a chair up against the counter, climbing up onto the top of it to reach the top cupboards. He teetered a bit, set off balance by having to lean forward to see into them, "Well Chalda, we gots some apples and cinnamon. Do you like apples? Hello?" He asked, looking curiously for the woman that seemed to have disappeared. Oh well, more for him.

Chalda
Chalda walked into the room to see Tea muching on an apple. "Sorry! I went to the bathroom and the lock got stuck! That apple looks yummy. Do you have anymore? Maybe I could make an apple pie!" She nearly drooled at the thought. "But it won't be ready until dinner time."

Dulcea
Tea shook his head, "There's a bunch over there." He pointed to the table, "I'm not s'pposed to have pie afore dinner so.. How about spiced apples? They're not that hard to make, and if you use the right stuff they can be kinda healthy, Cinnamon taught me that." He waved his current one in the air, "Or fresh with some sugar is good. There might even be some mango somewhere around here. Ever had mango chuttey? (Chutney)"

Chalda
"Ooo apples and mangos huh?" Chalda began to root through the fridge and reappeared with grapes, oranges, kiwis and a mellon. "Fruit salad anyone?" She said with a big grin on her face. "Add some bananas to this and I would have myself a fruit hat!"

Ballentine
Ballentine decided that it was in fact finally time to get Belinda out and meeting other Edens. The girl had to know more than her siblings and Eva. So today on this fine afternoon Ballentine carried the young girl to the HQ. Now... Ballie couldn't leave the girl just anywhere. That was irresponsible. Quickly her grey eyes scanned the HQ for signs of life and someone to watch Belinda for awhile as she's meet more people and be more open without her mother floating around.

Finding a young boy nibbling on an apple and what seemed a responsible female she carried the girl over there. Ballentine smiled brightly as she approached the two, "Hello!" Ok, casual approach. "Would you two mind watching Belinda for a few minutes while I use the restroom?" Placing the small child down she smiled, ok now to make the run for it.

Belinda just cast curious green eyes up at Ballentine, blinking once or twice cutely. She then turned her attention over to Tea and Chalda, lifting her hand to wave just a bit.

Chalda
"Hi!" Chalda replied brightly. "Sure we can watch her." She responded to the adult. Then she turned to Belinda. "My name is Chalda and this is Tea. I'm making some fruit salad. Would you like to help?" She extended a bundle or grapes and a bowl to the girl sitting on the floor and watch the adult back out of the room.

Dulcea
Tea slipped down onto the floor near Belinda, giving her a little curious sniff. Hmm, this one had ears and a tail too, just not the same kind. "Hi there!" Quickly, he remembered his introduction, "My name's Teagan Elliott Russo," Thinking of his newest hobby, Coach said it 'defined' him, "Ima' gymnast. Who're you?" He was a bit wary of this one, she seemed nice, but then again, he was wary of anything unfamiliar. Turning his attention back to the older woman, he suggested a new addition to their recipe, "What about grasshoppers?"

Ballentine
Belinda accepted the bowl and grapes, looking down at it curiously. What was she supposed to do with this? Curiously she plucked off one grape and sniffed at it, only to squeak and drop it as she herself was sniffed at. "Stop." She muttered, raising her hand and batting at Tea's shoulder. Who did this boy think he was just sniffing at her. She wasn't stinky.

Attention going back to the grapes she put the boy on ignore. The bunch of grapes was removed from the bowl and placed besides her between Tea and herself. Next the bowl was placed atop her head and she smiled proudly with a little giggle. Wasn't she cuuuute.

"We pway?" She asked looking up at Chalda though the bowl obscured most of her view.

Chalda
Chalda giggled as she watched the girl. "So you aren't hungry huh? What do you think Tea? You've been here often. What sort of fun stuff is there to do?" She scooped the grapes off the floor and popped a few in her mouth before putting the fruit back in the fridge.

Dulcea
Tea gave a momentary chorttle, an odd noise he'd picked up from Brooke. He brushed his shoulder off, looking curiously at her. "Wha was that for?" Sure, he was a bit smarter than he had been as a toddler, but he still wasn't the brightest bulb in the box. Tugging his collar up, he sat up straight, trying to make himself seem bigger as he scooted a little bit away. With a little attention snap, he looked up at Chalda, "Well, there's some games somewhere in the cupboards I think, board games and stuff." Lately he seemed to exhibit a few more instinctual traits than he probably should, one of the most prominent, primate displaying.

Ballentine
Little fingers drummed atop the bowl on her head as she pretty much ignored the conversation. It was too complicated for her to understand really! Her little toes also wiggled a bit as she did her best to amuse herself... However this wasn't going to last long. She wanted to play!

Finally taking the bowl off she placed it down between her legs to swat at it with her hands. A frown soon formed on her lips. It didn't make that cool sound like the pots and pants at home! She smacked at the bowl a few more times, then with a little snort used one foot to kick it away. Stupid bowl! "It bloke! No workin' like 'pose to!"

Chalda
Chalda kneeled down and held the little girls hand. "I saw a park on the way here. Why don't we go play on the swings?" She knew that little ones needed to be entertained or the destructive tendencies set in quickly.

Dulcea
Teagan puffed his cheeks out, scrambling out that same back window toward his favorite spot in the trees. Ok, he was being a bit touchy, but this little one had touched his jacket, hadn't asked or anything, and now she was ignoring him, like Madeline had. He dug around in one of the holes, fetching out a bag of cut up sugar cane. With a smug little smile, he darted back inside, settled in the corner, and started chewing on one, now ignoring her. See how she likes it.

Ballentine
Belinda didn't seem to mind at all actually! The girls attention focused on the woman who mentioned her favorite place! The park! "Swing!" She chirped happily, drawing herself up to her feet and reaching her arms up to Chalda. "Pwark! We Pway." She nodded excitedly.

"Boy n' me make sandcaster da odder day." Belinda said as she thought back to the time she spent with Eva at the park. The two having met up there.

Mouse Pachinkorelli
It wasn't easy to walk all the way up to the Eden Project house.

And Sylvest's kraaken-grip on Mouse's left arm didn't make it any easier. He had one hand grasping her fingers, and three of his less human arms wrapped around her wrist. Needless to say, the surrogate mother had lost all feeling in that limb several minutes ago- but hey, anything to make the octopus lad feel better about his surroundings.

The lemur-kid with the irate demeanor lurching over a bag of sugar cane didn't help much, though.

"Hey... Teagan! Are you alright?" Mouse called, hoping to calm him down so Sylvest would stop shaking like the leaf he once was.

Chalda
Chalda looked at the girls upstreatched arms and tried to decide if she would be able to pick up the girl. She was still young after all. Maybe the age of Tea but had matured quickly in her childhood due to her negligent parents. "Ok park it is!" She grasped the little girls hand instead and walked towards the door. "Are you coming Tea? Or you going to stay here with Skye. I want to be here when you introduce him to Dulcea ok?"

Dulcea
Teagan shook his head, to both of them, "Momma's in the city today, with Naomi and Cinnamon. They were fightin bout somethin. I'munna stay here." He turned his attention to the more familiar one, Momma had called her Mouse before, and held out a piece of sugar cane to her and the silly looking boy, "Hi Miss Mouse. I'm ok. Want some?" By now Skye had come out from under the table, now walking around beside Tea cautiously, sniffing at the bag of food every so often.

Ballentine
The little girl didn't seem to mind at all that her hands had been taken instead of her body being picked up. Either way they were going to the park! "Wet's go pway!" She once again cheered, only now taking note of the others in the room.

The boy with the long tail was eating something. She wondered what it was slightly and sniffed at the air as if that would give her the answer. Not only that, but another boy was there and he had funny looking tails. She cocked her head to the side, pointing at the trio and looking up at Chalda. "Who?"

Mouse Pachinkorelli
Sylvest looked at the piece of sugar cane suspiciously as if it might have poison hidden in it, then looked up at Mouse.

"Go ahead and try some," Mouse said. She wasn't sure if he would like it or not, though...

The octopus lad took a piece and placed it in his mouth.

He chewed once, then twice.

...

"Mmmmm....!!" This tasted icky! He had to get rid of it now! And as involuntary reactions went, glands in the back of his mouth opened up and started leaking ink to filter out the taste. Sylvest then spit out the piece of sugar cane; it was covered in indigo-black goo.

Mouse hadn't seen a reaction like that before now, so it must have tasted pretty bad. Note to self: Don't give Sylvest sweet foods.

Chalda
Chalda greeted Mouse and Sylvest when they came in. She had brought a toy to Sylvest when she had visited the beach. She was just about to ask him if he enjoyed it when the piece of sugar cane he had just popped into his mouth seemed to have a bad reaction. He started drooling ink all over the floor and the piece of cane hit the floor with it. Slowly she kneeled beside Belinda and said softly in her ear "That is Mouse and Sylvest. But it looks like Sylvest is sick right now. Why don't we go into the living room so we can be out of the way?" She stood and shooed the girl towards the door. On her way out she took a moment to rub Sylvest shoulder in comfort.

Dulcea
Tea looked from the inky piece to the younger boy curiously, scratching his head while he thought of something to do. Well, it would be bad to waste it, this kind of sugar cane was kind of hard to find. So, instead of putting it in the trash when he picked it up, he wiped it on the leg of his pants, then, deciding it was still too inky to eat, he walked over and turned the water on to rinse it off, "Guess not many people like it, bitter and sweet at the same time. He gonna be ok?"

Ballentine
As they started to walk past the inky boy, Belinda ripped her hand from the other girl's grasp. She went right up to the boy, staring up at his face. Why did he leak that dark colored stuff? Reaching up boldly she pressed her fingers into some of the ink then pulled her hand back to sniff at it. What was it?

Mouse Pachinkorelli
Sylvest was about to ask his mama for a glass of water when something touched his cheek. It was a girl about his size, wiping off some of the ink and looking at it.

His face- and arms- turned bright red.

"I think Sylvest is okay with bitter foods, but the sweet seemed to have gotten to him- are you alright, Sylvest?" Mouse asked.

Chalda
Chalda smiled at Sylvests reaction. Most kids wouldn't take so kindly to being poked. Allowing Belinda to explore Chalda's eyes swept over the room. A clock caught her attention and it was WHAT time?? In a slight panic she moved towards Mouse. "The gaurdian of this little one left her in my care but I need to go. Can you look after her?" Without waiting for a response she nearly bolted out of the room and out the front door and was gone just like that.

Dulcea
Tea munched on the newly cleaned sugar cane, watching the tot change color with a cocked head. Weird, he'd never seen a kid that could do that. Thinking suddenly of something they could do, he piped up, "I'll be back soon, gonna go get somethin." With that he climbed out the window, dragging the bag behind him.

Ballentine
Belinda barely noticed that not only Chalda but now Tea had left, each going in opposite directions. But either way they were both gone now, which left her with the leaking boy and... She turned those green eyes u p to Mouse, blinking a bit. "He broked?" She asked as she pointed her ink stained fingers at Sylvest.

Mouse Pachinkorelli
So now Mouse was stuck babysitting this toddler for who-knows-how-long.

"I... don't think he's broken. Just not used to complete strangers touching him..." she replied. But he seemed to be getting over it quickly, returning to his natural colors. He was even bold enough to touch the girl's cheek as if returning a greeting.

"I-I Sy'vest. Whu'reyou?" he asked.

Ballentine
Belinda turned her attention to the touch to her cheek. "Sy'ves?" She asked, trying to get the name out right. "Me Bewinda.. Wets go pway!" Reaching up she would take Sylvest's hand in hers and give the boy a little tug. "Come pway! Big girl say park by here." She kept lightly tugging on the boy's hand while she spoke trying to encourage to follow.

Mouse Pachinkorelli
Mouse pondered this for a moment. Would going to the park be okay? "I don't know if that's a good idea... your mother might get worried if she finds out that you aren't here. I know I would... how about we play out here?" She took out some paper and markers that she carried around just in case Sylvest got tired and needed to do something more relaxed. "We can draw!"

Sylvest beamed. "Drawi'! Bwin wan' draw?" He took a couple of markers and offered one to the other Eden.

Ballentine
Belinda face scrunched into a pout. She wanted to go play at the park, drawing wasn't any fun! Narrowing her eyes at Mouse she plopped down onto her little bottom and crossed her arms over her chest in hopes that if she pouted long enough they'd all go to the park. Those narrowed eyes didn't leave Mouse either, not even as she snatched the marker from Syl's hand with a muttered ,"Thank you." At least she hand some manners.

She waited a long moment. Ok a little longer... Damn it the pouting wasn't working. Frustrated now she snatch a piece of paper and started to scribble on it.

Mouse Pachinkorelli
That long pout... was the pout of death. It made Mouse feel uncomfortable, and it sure scared Sylvest a bit. But Mouse felt that security was more important than fun at this point. She was relieved that the girl had decided to take a marker and scribble at the paper (if a bit violently).

Sylvest wondered what was wrong with Belinda. Drawing was fun! He took an orange marke, and, his octopus arms turning as orange as the ink, scribbled ambiguous shapes on the paper.

Ballentine
Belinda had caught the color change out of the corner of her eye and gasped. "Ooooh!" With the marker she pointed at Sylvest's now orange arm. "HOW?!" She was completely taken not only by surprise but amazement. She wanted to turn colors too! She could only make her face really red if she pouted long enough.

Mouse Pachinkorelli
The octopus lad jumped a little upon his new friend's exclamation of surprise. And, he was also confused... "How what?" he asked, not aware that his arms had changed color again. Sylvest seemed to have no control over that ability yet, and usually changed with colors he liked and with his mood.

Ballentine
"New culor!" Belinda exclaimed as she pointed her marker at the orange tentacle. "No like da odders." She said as she looked at each and everyone one, poking at the orange one. "You twrn gween!" She demanded a bit. If the boy could turn orange why couldn't he turn green?

Mouse Pachinkorelli
"Turn... cow'r?" Sylvest pondered. He looked at the arm that Belinda was looking at and noted that it was indeed very orange. "You wan'... gween?" Well, how hard could it be? He usually just thought about a color he liked and it just happened? So he thought about the color green and was rewarded with a kind of mottled moss color speckling the orange.

Mouse took a mental note on this. It might be helpful in some way.

Ballentine
Belinda laughed pleasantly. He turned green. Ok more like polka dotted but close enough. "Bwue! Do Bwue now!" She demanded, poking at the tentacle curiously. She wanted one of these to play with at home!

Mouse Pachinkorelli
"Boo?" That was something Sylvest could do- blue was one of his favorite colors! With a bit of a showoffy flourish, all of his arms became an inky, midnight blue. He grinned and twirled them around a bit.

Mouse tapped her foot in slight impatience. Where was this kid's mother? Was she taking a very long trip to the bathroom, or something?

Dulcea
(( Be warned, Naomi has NO good personality traits, she was a failed experiment, one of the originals for Spice Shack ))
Naomi

Instead of crawling in the window this time, Tea walked through the door, being dragged along by his tail by a tall woman with an obvious scowl. He was clutching some kind of book, wriggling against her grasp, "Lemme go! NAE NAE. LEMME GO!"

"SHUT. UP. Just shut the hell up!" Naomi yelled, giving his tail a hard yank. "You stomp into the store, thunder up the damn stairs, and wake me up. You'd better have something worth my time!" Upon noticing the other 'stink monkeys' (She really doesn't like kids) she shoved him forward and grunted, "Show em if you're going to."

Ballentine
Belinda laughed happily as she watched the tentacles change colors. Oh yes she really does like this boy and his colorful changing body! "Wed next!" She demanded. Red was her favorite color and she wanted to see the boy turn the pretty shade again.

Though that attention to the coloring changing boy would drop almost instantly as she heard other come inside, craning her head to focus on Tea and the new woman. Who was she? Why was she yelling and pushing around the other boy. She snorted a bit, crouching down low as if the floor would camouflage her... Tough it wasn't working.

Feeling the need to make Ballie less irresponsible the woman would appear in the doorway, just watching from a distance. Really she had her reasons why she wasn't smothering Belinda with attention. The girl had a strong personality and didn't need the mother for introductions or to play. Ballentine did look at Mouse and smile softly, giving a little nod to Belinda in a way of saying 'that one's mine.'

Mouse Pachinkorelli
Teagan and the scary lady crashing into the room so suddenly made the color drain from Sylvest's arms. That was really scary... and he was so tired... and thirsty... sleep seemed like a good idea...

Mouse caught the octopus lad before his head could bump against the floor. Hoisting him up so it wouldn't be too uncomfortable to carry him, she said, "I'm sorry, Belinda... Sylvest gets tired easily when he's out of water for too long. We'll have to go home, but it was very nice meeting you. Good to see you again, Teagan... goodbye, everyone!" She walked out the door and towards her home, tentacled child in tow.

Freize
Well, he had initially meant to send Eva over on his own, but... Here Freize was, carrying him on in, shooting a wary glance about the new area. The joey-boy was up on his shoulders, hands fisted in his hair- as usual. The weremutt looked towards the angry woman in an uncertain manner, shifting a bit and letting his brows come to an arch.. Hm... He wasn't given much time to think, though. Eva spotted two Edens he knew.

The squirt was now standing on the older male's shoulders, before he went to jump off, landing in a crouch. He glanced about at all of them, tail swaying merrily behind him, one small hand lifted in a wave. He didn't need Freize anymore. He had moved on to other people. His Da let out a soft sigh, "Watch yourself, Eva. Behave, okay?" Evarobby nodded, although he wasn't really listening. His attention was elsewhere now. He watched some boy getting carried off, ears perking slightly- was that boy okay..? And in the back of his mind he registered that not only was Tea here, but some lady who had him by the tail. Hm..

Dulcea
Tea noticed Eva instantly, breaking himself away from Naomi in a sharp sprint. "Eva!" He screeched, holding up the city tour book with obvious enthusiasm, "Lookie! PARTY SHINIES!" Ul had given him the choice to throw a party if he wanted. It was going to be for her birthday sure, but it was more for letting him meet the rest of the Edens.

Naomi rubbed her temple with a hand, "Do you ever ******** shut up?" Alright, it had been a bad idea to come along without something a hell of a lot stronger than raspberry vodka. She turned her attention to the other boy's gaurdian, "What's your story?"

Ballentine
Belinda frowned as Sylvest was pulled away. She wasn't done playing with him yet! But before she had any time to respond she'd find the boy being carried away by Mouse. Frowning she could do nothing but stand there and frown, watching them go. That was so uncool! Pouting a bit she cast her glance away and would notice Eva being carried in. She grinned, "Heh-hn.."

Almost instantly she was hidden behind the couch, ducking under and wiggling her little body to the front to peer out the flap. Nothing but the tip of her tail could be seen from the back end of the couch. She was stalking, almost as if her instincts were telling her to do such things.

She waited... Wanting the right opportunity. Green eyes focused on Tea as he went over to Eva and frowned. When would she get the chance now?! Well.. Tea was a distraction of sorts. Backing out from under the couch she dusted off the front of her shirt.

Quickly in the blink of an eye her little body stood, slid around the couch and made an all out run at Eva. "Nya!" She screamed, tackling the boy to the ground and laughing happily. "Pway again!"

Freize
Eva brightened as Tea came towards him, bouncing a bit where he stood, attention turning towards the book. He looked towards it curiously, giving a tilt to his head and moving closer towards the older boy in order to get a better look. Wow, party shinies! He lifted his head to beam up at his older friend, his expression soon warping to a look of shock. He was suddenly on his back, ears perked, eyes wide. He looked up towards the girl who happened to get him down, and then smiled a bit, relieved. He knew her! And she wanted to play! The little guy seemed to forget that he had just been jumped and pushed to the ground, excited to see his past playmates. This could be fun!

Freize rubbed at one temple lightly, letting his eyes drift to a close. "He couldn't come on his own." Not that it was surprising- Eva never went anywhere unless Freize was there. He had some strange dependant thing.. And if they went together, the weremutt HAD to carry him. HAD to.

It was a bright day and a blonde ponytailed girl made her way towards the so-called Eden Project. She was holding a magazine in front of her and kept looking at all the celebrities and pretty colorful pictures as she moved through the door. Tyyne lifted her chin and looked around. Empty...as usual when she had been here the days before. Although she wasn't fond of too many people around she missed some company anyway.

Sadly she moved over towards the couch, lay down and continued reading

Mouse Pachinkorelli
Despite the sugar cane and Belinda using him as a source of entertainment, Sylvest seemed to have enjoyed his previous time at the Eden Project house. Therefore, Mouse decided to bring him up there again. It would always be a long walk from home, but at least the weather was starting to cool off a little.

Upon opening the door, they saw it was empty except for a blond-haired girl looking at a magazine. Mouse believed that she had seen her from the beach party before...

Bird Draggon
"Auugh. C'mon Rumkai, let's go."

A door was shut, none too gently mind you, and a skinny girl dressed in black and blue stomped across the thick slabs of concrete that made the sidewalk, a small brightly colored butterfly trailing behind.

Raven continued to complain. "Mom won't even notice us gone with that stupid... new..." Raven groped for words, "... purple-haired-thing!"

Rumkai must've said something unwise, because he was instantly met with a cold stare. "You're in league with them, I see. You backstabber."

The butterfly merely fluttered onto her shoulder and made himself comfortable. Raven heaved a sigh, and entered the Eden HQ. Perhaps she'd see Alex! Raven brightened at that thought.

Freize
The weremutt made his way towards the housing of the Eden Project, lifting a hand to rub at one of his temples slightly. Another mostly-sleepless night... Damn insomnia. His joey had wanted to get out, though, and whenever Eva was around others he seemed to get himself into trouble less... Good... So he decided to bring him.. Because, as usual, the little guy refused to go alone.

The mentioned kangaroo-boy was cradled in one of Freize's arms, on his back, legs and arms dangling down. He stared up at the sky silently, tail swaying contentedly below him. It was a sunny day, and the sun felt good..

Freize waltzed inside, his Eden turning his head now to look for playmates.

Dulcea
Tea climbed over a fence, headed for what had become his new point of entry, the back window, mumbling something under his breath. As he started to walk across the grass, it became a little easier to tell that he was counting off, though not in English. True, he didn't know that the words were actually numbers, but he was expected to remember what the count off meant. To him, they were just moves, an aerial for odeen, a stalled backflip for dva, tree chetireh and pyat were.. Oh shoot, well, he'd figure it out before Coach drilled him. With a practiced positioning, he leapt through the window, scuttling toward the main room curiously. Hmm.. Who was that? Tyyne? Woah, he hadn't seen her in a while! "Tyy!" He yelped, rushing toward her with open arms.

The golden eyes moved as she noticed tons of people enter and a shy smile crossed her face. "Hello." Trying to recognise all the people Tyyne was overwhelmed as Teagan hugged her. "Erm..hey Tea." She said, still feeling a bit awkward.

Putting aside the magazine she looked around. She knew some from the Beach Party and of course she knew Raven...but who was the kangaroo ? "I haven't seen all of you in a while." She smiled. At least she was a little bit less shy than before.

Mouse Pachinkorelli
Tyyne! That was it! "Hi, Tynne. It's been quite a while, hasn't it? And there's Raven and Teagan, and... who have we here?" she said, noticing a child who looked charmingly similar to Teagan. "Why don't you say hi, Sylvest?"

The octopus lad shufffled a bit and his extra arms squirmed with nervousness. "'Lo," he managed to say, though he seemed to be completely focused on an apple juicebox.

Bird Draggon
Raven waved ecstatically to those she knew-- and didn't know-- while looking around crazily for Alex. ... No sign. Bother.

She couldn't help but blink at the amount of people in the building. Ah, there was a challenge; naming all of them. Rumkai supplied a few names-- like Teabag and Sylbum --while Raven ticked off those she knew. There was Tyyne and Teagan and Sylvest and...

Hello~. Who was this?

Raven scurried over to the new kiddo's side and crouched down. "Hiya!" she said cheerily, ignoring Rumkai's comments about how drab the walls were in here and how empty his stomach was.

Freize
Scanning... Ah, Eva only knew one person. Oh well, it was Tea, and he was plenty fun. The little fellow perked slightly, having jumped out of his Da's arms before they entered, and he was heading towards the familiar boy before someone new came up and greeted him. He tilted his head and then smiled brightly, hoping for a new friend, lifting a hand and waving first to the girl, and then towards the other toddler. He gave a tilt to his head, one ear erect and the other drooped. Lotsa people to play with today. He paused as he saw Rumkai, brows arching, a look of what only can be explained as childish wonder coming to him as he pointed at it. What WAS that?

Freize smiled towards Raven, and then Mouse, speaking out towards everyone when he said, "He doesn't talk... Yet." He was still hoping he could get him to make some kind of noise.. He let out a disheartened sigh. "I'm not sure why."

Dulcea
Tea took a step back from Tyyne, thinking maybe he'd upset her. With a little smile, he shoved his hands in the pockets of his jacket and looked around at the others. Raven, Eva, Tyy, and Sylvest. This would be fun! Remembering something Coach had said "Standing still is a good way to lose your touch", he looked around curiously and settled on a place on the ceiling to hang something he'd brought with himself, a long rope that he stretched from one side to the other, hanging fairly loose. With a little self count off, he tugged himself up onto the rope and hung upside down, watching them from his new vantage point.

Lenachan358
"Yes Miss Mouse, we were really busy with moving into the new house, but now we're settled." Tyyne answered as she watched Teagan doing his gymnastics. "Wow...you can do the same tricks as Rick in my favourite Soap Opera." She stared at the Lemur in awe for a while. That was sooo freaking cool !
Perhaps he wasn't as bad as she thought...

As she heard the comment on Evarobby Ty turned towards Freize. "I used not to speak too, but now I can. It's probably normal."

Mouse Pachinkorelli
"I don't think it's much to worry about," Mouse said to Frieze. "All kids have their little quirks... and he doesn't seem like a sad kid or anything. Just give him some time." She smiled broadly at Evarobby, charmed by his facial expressions and the aura he gave off. He'd grow up to be quite a character.

Sensing from Mouse that the kangaroo child wasn't a threat, Sylvest walked up to Evarobby to say hello. On the way he noticed Teagan hanging upside-down; the octopus lad tilted his head sideways as far as it would go to make eye contact with him. "Hi, Tea!" he said, then quickly returned his head to its proper place- keeping it tilted like that made him a bit dizzy!

He finally made his way to the grinning Evarobby. "I'm Sy'vest. Who're you?"

Bird Draggon
Rumkai was delighted to have another admirer-- or, so he called anyone who glanced his way that wasn't Raven. Flicking his wings, he was airborn, and he floated lazily around the smaller child.

"I don't think it's anything to worry about," Raven reassurred. "My... uhh... my mom's new... kidthing... doesn't talk much either."

She turned back to Evarobby, noticing the sudden abandonment of Rumkai and the pointing finger. "This," she introduced, "is Rumkai. He's a flutterboo."

Raven's attention was snagged for a moment by Teagan's amazing acrobatics. Her mouth dropped open.

Freize
The weremutt paused to think a moment before relaxing again, smiling a bit as he watched the toddler. "Yeah... Guess I shouldn't worry so much.." He let his arms fold over his chest, simply watching his Eden for a few seconds before going to pipe up, "His name's Eva.. Erm, Evarobby, but we call him Eva."

The little guy turned at his name, pleased Freize was there to get his name across for him. The fact he couldn't tell people made him upset sometimes.. He turned back towards the flutterboo, examining it curiously as it flew around him. He smiled after a few seconds, deciding he liked it. He liked flutterboos.. He blinked as everyone was suddenly looking at the ceiling, grinning as he spotted Tea. That was high! Teagan was so lucky to be able to get so high without a bookshelf or anything. Eva liked heights, after all. He lifted a hand to wave cheerily up towards him. Now he knew lotsa people! Sy'vest, Karoko, Tea, Belinda, and this nice girl with her flutterboo! Lots! That made him happy.

Dulcea
Spotting the blonde boy, Tea wriggled down the length of the rope, trying to think of a way to help him up. "Wanna come?" He chirped, offering a 'tail-up' to anyone that wanted it. True, he had training in a few hours, and Coach would come looking for him if he didn't show up, but he didn't want to go downtown just yet. It was more fun here with friends. "Anybody wanna help me throw a party for Momma?"

Lenachan358
"Nice to meet you, Eva." Tyyne mumbled as she looked at Teagan. Impressive...Perhaps he knew other people who could do that...and such people would come to the party ? Glancing at the magazine she moved over to Raven, because she was the only other girl available. "I could help with the party..." She announced and lowered her head to whisper. "It's sooo cool, right Raven ?"

Mouse Pachinkorelli
"A party for Ul? That might be lots of fun. What would you need for it?" Mouse asked, though not entirely sure if she could make it to such a party or not. "I could make cookies or something..."

Sylvest made a visible face at the mention of cookies. "Cooks're eww," he said quietly, knowing that wasn't the common opinion held on baked treats.

Bird Draggon
"S'nice to meet you, Eva!" Raven said cheerily. She spinned around and grinned at Tyyne. "'Course it's cool!" Raven nodded. "Hi, by the way. I haven't seen you in.. forever."

Rumkai, amused by this new kid, lightly landed on top of his nose and stretched his wings luxuriously.

Raven's face lit up at the mentioning of a celebration. "Party!" she whooped. "I'd be happy to help! I mean, with anything. Better not cook, though, 'cause of all these feathers..."

Freize
The little squirt started as the 'boo landed on his nose, blinking before going crosseyed and letting his head tilt itself to one side. He had been going for where Teagan was, wanting to be up high too... He wriggled his nose and smiled, but decided not to touch. Freize said not to touch any of the pretty colorful things at their house because they would break, and he didn't want to break the flutterboo. His attention lasted for only a little bit before he grew slightly bored. And so he went to the older boy, ignoring the creature on his face the best he could, nodding cheerily. 'Course he wanted up! And he'd help with the party too!... He remembered those party shinies Tea showed him... Hm..

Freize shifted, gaze averted to the floor. "Erm.. I'm not too good with parties.. But me and Eva can sure lend a helping hand... And... I guess I could get Ajani to make a pie.."

Eva grew somewhat excited at the word pie. PIE! There'd be pie! He beamed.

Mouse Pachinkorelli
Thinking of the party was all well and good, but then Mouse remembered something. Something very important.

Something that she was going to be late for if she didn't hurry up and skedaddle.

"Crap- sorry; but I have to go. Sylvest has an eye doctor's appointment in half an hour. Bye, everyone--" She snatched up Sylvest swiftly and hurried out the door, all the while muttering "ohcrapohcrapohcrap...!!"

Mall fun

Quote:
Glad to be away from his mother a bit, he had a lot of feelings like that lately, Teagan rustled through a rack of shirts, mentally marking the ones he liked. Honestly, he'd been having a lot of new feelings, not like the Kits did when they were a bit older than him, but some, and they were starting to get to him. He hadn't told Her though, it would give her a reason to take him to the doctor and restrict his training privelages if he was sick.

Quote:
"Alright.. We're here." The weremutt huffed a bit before setting down his joey, who appeared somewhat uncertain about the carrying coming to an end. Freize looked down at Eva, "Don't wander too far off.." And then he turned to look through the clothes for something to put his Eden in.

The little guy watched him uncertainly for a moment, clad in one of his only pairs of clothes that were still intact.. He soon grew bored though, and turned to march off among the racks of clothing, making sure to try and remember where he saw his Da last.. He stopped near the lemur, having yet to see him, staring up at the clothes thoughtfully. Woow. They had lotsa these here. He didn't quite understand why (he was still learning the importance of clothes,) but it was kinda neat.

Quote:
Apparently noticing the tot before he was noticed himself, Tea lifted a small white jersey with a little wave symbol off the rack and held it out to the kangaroo, "You'd look cute in this." Alright, maybe phrasing it that way would seem a little... Creepy, but it was what he thought. That was another thing, he'd been thinking things were 'cute' a lot more often.

Quote:
The boy's head turned, ears swivveling towards Tea.. And he smiled after finding out who it was. He took no offense to wording, taking the extended jersey and examining it thoughtfully. Tea liked this? Hm. He pondered over it for a moment before lifting his eyes curiously, seemingly asking whether or not he should put it on now. He was getting good at communicating without speaking.

Quote:
Tea nodded, quirking an ear along with a bright smile. "You can put it on here if you want, or you can take it back to the dressing room, I could help if ya want." It seemed like a strange offer to most people, but he was being sincere, he really didn't know if the kid knew how to dress himself yet. "I think I'm gonna try these on." He held up a few shirts, the front one didn't really look like it was made for a guy, which was, in fact, because it was made for a girl. Not that girly though, just a baseball shirt cut tight for a girl.

Quote:
The toddler smiled at the offer, but gave a shake to his head and held the jersey with one arm and watched as the older boy pulled out a shirt. He looked it over thoughtfully and then nodded his approval, although he didn't have too much of an opinion on all of that clothes stuff. He then began changing into the jersey, not really caring all too much. After getting it on, his stretched out his arms and looked down at himself thoughtfully. Well, it was comfy. Eva smiled some.

Quote:
Tea looked the child over appreciatively, "You look adorable!" Ok, that was a bit much, but eh, the tot didn't seem to care so much about his little quirks. As long as no one had a problem with it, he could say all the odd things he wanted. Though, he was starting to draw some attention, now that he was taller than the racks, before he had always been hidden from view. Without a hint of modesty, he slipped off his jacket and pulled his shirt off over his head. Pausing for a moment for a reason he couldn't figure out himself, he flashed another smile to Eva before pulling the other shirt on.

Quote:
Eva smiled brightly, just picking up the older boy's appreciation and not really thinking too much on the comment. Compliments really didn't have much of an effect on him- he didn't get them all that much.. But that was just because of the way his mind worked. He waited to see Tea after the lemur changed in order to return the approval, just feeling as if thats what he was supposed to do. He rocked back and forth, flip-flops making squeaky noises.. He blinked, a bit confused as to why the boy stopped in the middle of changing, but he returned the smile, albeit a bit uncertainly. He gave a clap of his hands afterwards and nodded once again, letting the older Eden know he approved.

Quote:
Moving to stand in front of the mirror, Tea started to pose, trying to see what it made him look like from every angle. Doing a particularly silly pose, he tried to wave Eva over, trying to make it look like a game so the other wouldn't think he was 'weird' liking to see himself so much, "Try it, it's fun."

Quote:
The squirt arched his brows as he watched the older boy, unable to really understand what was going on... He had no real ego himself, no great personal view on himself. Or other people, really. He was Eva, they were whoever they were. End of story.. So.. The posing was kinda wierd. He gave a tilt to his head, hesitating before going on over to play with a smile, trying out a few poses himself. A bit uncertainly, seeing as he didn't quite get the point, but as long as it was fun. The joey just wanted fun, after all.

Quote:
It took the lemur a bit to notice the other one didn't seem to find it as fun, but once he did, he changed back into his normal shirt, then paused to figure out what the littler one would want to do. "So.. Are you hungry?" Food was always a good choice, and Beckie had told him there were some pretty good restaurants around here, even one with mango chutney.

Quote:
It was fun, but he didn't quite understand the point. Eva mainly just thought it was fun 'cause he got to goof off.. That was always okay in his books. He tilted his head as they stopped the game, curious, but after seeing Tea change he decided to do the same. He tugged off the jersey and went back to his normal look. His ears flickered a bit at the word hungry, his eyes darting back to the older boy and a bright smile appearing. He nodded. Food was always good!

Quote:
Setting the things he had picked up back on the rack, he'd come back for them later, Tea reached for Eva's hand and looked around for the joey's father, knowing from experience with his own mother how much parents would freak out. "We gotta find your dad first. Then we can find good foods." As if anticipating a question about his own parent, he added, "Momma knows I'm here by myself."

Quote:
As soon as something was reaching for him, the little guy basically attatched himself to Tea- albeit it was just his hand right now. Eva could get somewhat clingy sometimes, as Freize knew most of all. The boy's ears drooped slightly at the mention of finding his Da- erp... Where was he? He turned his head to look around, and then nodded and began plodding off towards where he thought he saw him last. He smiled brightly towards the older boy afterwards, excited about good foods.. He wondered why anyone would wanna be away from their parent, but that was just because he was completely dependant on a parental figure sometimes. Must be the pouch-joey inside of him.

Quote:
Tyyne was still insecure as she walked through the different pieces of clothes. This looked more like the boys pieces...where were the girly ones ?
Everytime somebody looked at her she blushed awfully. She just wasn't used to wear her hair open, but it had grown a lot and mum had mentioned that it was awfully pretty like this.

As she looked up she noticed someone familiar near by. Hadn't she seen this man at the headquarter before ? He was the father of the baby who didn't talk, right ?

The young girl moved up to Freize and a slight smile crossed her face. "Hello Mr..."

Quote:
Feeling the rather tight grip on his hand, Tea suddenly thought of what Coach would say if this little one bruised them. With that in mind, he did something that was very lemurlike, but uncommon for a male, he pulled the child onto his back. Sort of like a piggy back ride, but higher, more instinctual. Now the little one had more places to hold on to, and his hands were safe. "Better?" He asked with a little smile, speeding up his walk a bit now that he wouldn't have to keep a steady pace for the joey. From about ten feet away, he noticed one thing, bright blonde hair. Tyyne! And there was the boy's father too, what luck!

Quote:
Freize turned slightly as he heard a voice, brows arched slightly. A warm smile came across his face as he recognised the girl from the last time he was at the HQ. He moved to face her, "Freize. You can just call me Freize." He glanced about, now noticing that his child had wandered off.. Internal sigh. Hopefully he hadn't tried climbing the racks or something.. He turned back to the girl, smile back, "Can I help you?"

The boy blinked, but being the "pouch-joey" that he was, he didn't mind being carried. OF COURSE not. Freize only had to carry him everywhere. He nestled into the older boy's back and nodded, glancing about cheerily. Now he was up higher too! How great. He perked a bit as he spotted his dad and that nice girl from before, beaming slightly. There was Da, and another kid! Maybe she'd come with them and get some good foods.

Quote:
"I was about to look for some new clothes, but I'm just not able to find the girl's part of the store." Tyyne blushed slightly nestling around with her fingers nervously. "And I just wanted to be polite and say hello, Mr. Freize."

As she heard some footsteps she turned around and noticed Teagan and the other boy coming closer. She blushed a bit as she was reminded of her favourite series on TV everytime she saw Teagan. "Um...hello."

Quote:
Flipping his hair out of his eyes, Teagan smiled to the familiar girl, not quite grasping why she seemed embarassed. Normally, he would have hugged her, but he wasn't going to risk dropping this little one, that'd be a bad impression, like what had happened with Madeline. "Heya doll." Alright, it was a silly thing to call her, but he'd been watching to much TV. With a polite little nod he turned his attention to the younger boy's father, "I brought your joey. We were gonna get some lunch, is that ok?"

Quote:
The weremutt nodded, "I see... Thank you, that was very.." His head turned towards the approaching pair, "Nice of you..." He watched the children for awhile, arching his brows at the use of the word "doll"... Hm.. Kids.

Eva shifted slightly so that he could wave enthusiastically at Tyyne, and then at his Da, grinning slightly. Lotsa people were always good. And in his mind, three was a lot. Two was a good number of playmates, and his Da was always good to have around. He relaxed into the older boy's back again, arms drooped loosely over his shoulders.

The male nodded a bit, "Ah... That's fine.." He fished around in his pockets for some money, and then offered some to the boy, "Use this for Eva, alright?" He didn't want to make anyone else pay for his kid... That would be rude. Atleast in his mind.

Quote:
Tyyne blinked several times as she heard Teagan call her doll. Wow, he really talked like the people on TV ! Hopefully they would become friends and then Ty would be extraordinary too. Clutching her hands together she moved her head slightly.

"Oh can I come with you ? I haven't eaten anything since today morning." She spoke in a soft voice before turning back to Freize. "It was nice to see you too."

"And as I see you still don't speak." She turned to Eva and petted his head slowly. "No problem, at all."

Quote:
With a little smile, Tea took the money and tucked it in his back pocket, "Will do sir." Wow, that was a new one, sir. That was a good thing he was picking up from his training, none of his coaches took any disrespect. Turning his attention to Tyyne, he held his hand out to her, contact was everything to him, "Sure, whatcha want? Beckie says there are some good veggie places around here, might have to leave the mall though." One ear fell down as he looked back at Frieze, not sure if he'd have anything to say about that.

Quote:
The little guy smiled after recieving the pat to his head, tail swaying back and forth merrily as he cuddled into Tea's back slightly. He was big on contact too. He tilted his head, resting his cheek on the older boy's shoulder blade so he could watch the girl standing beside him for now and letting everyone work out where they were gonna go.

Freize was surprisingly pretty laid back about the whole situation, nodding at the mention of having to leave the mall. That was fine. "Alright... But be warned, he's a picky eater." He smiled a bit, "I'll be around this store if you need me, you can find me here."

Quote:
Having two sisters who loved contact Tyyne knew why he extended the hand. But after all she wasn't one of those touchy people and now she felt a bit strange about it. Anyway, he was the cool-as-Tv-guy, right ?

Slowly she took the hand and smiled slightly. "I don't care. I brought my pocket money, so we can go anywhere." She added and pointed to her chest. Lena had bought her a neck pouch to keep her money save.

"Thank you, Mister Freize. We will take care of Eva."

Quote:
Tea nodded cheerfully, not at all surprised by the thought of having a hard time finding something the joey liked. After all, if he liked sugar cane he must have good tastes, and now Tyyne was coming too, she could help! "We sure will, and don't worry, Momma says I'm a picky eater too, well, not in the past few weeks" He said simply, starting to walk away slowly backward so that he would still be facing the man if he had anything else to say. Tyyne seemed smaller than he remembered, but maybe he was just bigger. Yeah, that was probably it.

Quote:
The man smiled warmly towards Tyyne, "Thank you. It was nice speaking with you.." He looked towards the other two and gave a nod before turning to go back to looking through clothes.

Eva began growing bored with waiting, and blew out a deep breath that came out as a sort of hiss. Humdedum.. He perked up slightly, lifitng himself a bit to try and let his chin rest on Tea's shoulder, as he could tell they were starting to leave. He felt suddenly a bit uncertain as he noticed them moving away from Freize, but decided he still wanted to go with the other kids... He'd have to fight his inner pouch-joey. He wriggled his toes and fingers to release some of his energy.

Quote:
Tyyne glanced at her own hand once in a while. Today was a strange day, first she got the new hairstyle and now she finally made some friends. Of course, she had Shouko, but they hadn't talked or seen each other for weeks.

"Why are you wearing...this training thing, Teagan ?" Tyyne questioned as she looked at Eva. She wouldn't look at the Lemur straight, her shy nature didn't allow her to do so. But after all she was happy to be not alone.

Quote:
Turning around so that he was facing the right direction, Teagan looked at her curiously, "Training.. Thing?" Ok, he wasn't the brightest bulb in the bunch, "Oh. You mean Eva?" He laughed, "He's not a training thing, he's my little buddy. Idn't that right Eva?"

Quote:
The little guy blinked once or twice, ears perking. Whazzat? He didn't seem to pick up on what was going on, probably because he wasn't listening. He just heard Tea say they were buddies, and ask him about it, so he beamed and nodded cheerily. Teagan was his buddy! Of course!

Quote:
Tyyne felt awfully misunderstood and pointed at Teagan's clothes quietly. "I meant..your...sport suit." She admitted before concentrating on Eva again. The small one was easier, he didn't talk.

Quote:
Tea blushed, looking down at his clothing, "Oh. Oops, sorry bout that." He gave a little nervous laugh, then tapped the symbol on his jacket, "Coach likes me to tell people about the team, so we can drum up the best of the best." It was advertising basically, but it worked. Silently, he hoped he hadn't upset her by not understanding.

Quote:
The squirt turned his head to look at Tyyne now, curious as to why she was watching him, although he was smiling so he couldn't have minded too much. He was just wondering if she was gonna say anything. He gave a little wave before lowering his arm back to Tea's shoulder.. His ears perked again and he smiled, tugging at the jacket to get the older boy's attention, his head tilting slightly. He tried to fix his expression so as to ask more about the coach and team and all of that. Sounded neat.

Quote:
"What kind of Team ? Sports team ? Like...the people on tv winning medals ?"
It was so obvious that this girl had been watching TV all day lately to cure her boredom. She needed some friends, but actually Ty was living in the world of series, soaps and comics at the moment. Oh yes...and sport events.

She waved back at Eva and smiled. He helped her at least a bit. He could be one of the baby superheros --- or Teagan's assistant.

Quote:
Tea nodded, "Somethin like that. I mean, we compete in tournaments and win medals and stuff. There's a couple in the next few weeks, I haven't been to any myself, Coach says I'm not ready, but my friend Beckie is competing in the Jr portion of the next one. Coach said maybe I can go for the one after it. That'd be fun, huh?" Suddenly realizing Eva's silent question, he spoke up again, this time more information that rambling, "Gymnastics team, like the stuff I showed you, but seeing if we're better than the other teams."

Quote:
Eva brightened. That stuff was tons of fun! Teagan was so lucky... The little squirt wasn't all too good at it, but it was fun. And you got to go up high. That was great. He nodded enthusiastically about the stuff that the older boy said, like the Jr. portion or whatever.. Sounded great. He was happy for Tea. He hoped that he found something fun that he liked so that he could do it all the time.. Da said something about rock climbing or something when he was older.. That sounded good too...

Quote:
Tyyne smiled and accidently tightened her grip. "Ooooh you will do competitions ? Can Eva and I come and applaud and so ?" She had seen this often on TV, if friends were about the people won and then everyone was happy.

"Can girls do...these gymnastics too ?" She wondered as she looked at herself.

Quote:
He nodded, flinching a bit at the tightened grip but he quickly settled, trying to lead them toward the door to outside and a cajun style grill across the street, "Course they can, Coach is a girl and she's a great gymnast!" Picking up on a little extra meaning, he nodded again, "You could come if you want, you could even come to some of the practices if you want to learn somethin."

Quote:
He nodded slighty- he had seen some girls do it! And they were really good. He got all excited when Tyyne mentioned the two of them going to watch. That'd be really neat! He wriggled about on the older boy's back for a moment before nestling back into him, resting his cheek on his shoulder.. Tyyne wanted to try that stuff too? He decided she should. It was fun.

Quote:
Tyyne smiled a bit as she thought about the option. "Sounds nice, but I don't know if I can do it. I saw some girls on TV throwing balls and swirling around with ribbons...is it something like this for girls ?"

She imagined herself winning competitions and people applauding and suddenly she stopped. She was NEVER EVER going to perform in front of people. "Umm...do you have to to competitions ?"

Quote:
He reached a hand back and ruffled Eva's hair before answering Tyyne's question. "Sorta. And you don't have to compete, some people just like to. Like, Coach says I want to prove something to people. I unno." He thought about the different styles, "Some people use ribbons and medicine balls and stuff, I'm better at the uneven bars and floor routines. Coach says she wants me to try a rhythmn routine with some of the older kids though, so I might do that."

Quote:
The squirt grinned as his hair was ruffled, rubbing his face into Tea's shoulder before going still. He'd let them talk their big kid talk about all of that gymnastics stuff- it was fun, but he didn't get some of the stuff they were talking about, so he let it go. He'd just wait for the food and stuff. Besides, it's not like he could say anything on the matter.

Quote:
"Alright, I will ask my Mum and she can talk to your Mum and then I will come and look." Tyyne was pretty happy about the arrangement as she looked at Eva. "I bet you're hungry, Eva. I think we should buy something..."

Pretty insecure about talking to a stranger behind the bar she looked at Teagan. Could he probably order?

Quote:
Teagan nodded, "Little guy's prolly starving. I know I am. Anything in particular you want Ty?" While he waited for her to make up her mind, he stepped up to the counter and held up one finger then two, "One order of sweet potatoes, two bowls of vegan jambalaya, and a glass of sweet tea." The man at the bar nodded and yelled something at the cook before telling the lemur he'd call them when it was ready. So, the boy turned his attention back to Tyyne, curious.

Quote:
Eva nodded slightly at both of their comments about his hunger, ears lifting at the mention of food. He was back to being excited. There may not be a lot he liked to eat, but he did love to eat. He popped two fingers into his mouth, holding onto Tea with the other arm and letting his tail sway about merrily. He let him order, looking towards Tyyne with a smile. They were gonna get food now! What would she get?

Quote:
"Some tea...and a potatoe please." Tyyne said in a hushed voice and looked at the floor quickly again. She had never ordered at such a place and she didn't intend to do anything wrong. Her golden eyes wondered if Eva was already able to eat all kind of food. "What do you think Eva would like ?" Ty asked Teagan while petting the small ones head slightly. He comforted her somehow, because he was smaller and she wasn't the one who needed the most help.

Quote:
The man behind the counter didn't quite seem to hear her, so Teagan stepped up again and repeated it, louder. Then, with a nod from the man, he walked toward a corner of the restaurant that wasn't so crowded, maybe then she'd relax. He waited to sit down though, thinking of how to get the littler one off his back without startling him. "I'm hoping he'll like jambalaya. It doesn't need too much chewing and it's veggie." Nodding purposefully, he gestured to a booth by the window, "Want to sit in the sun?"

Quote:
The little guy smiled brightly towards the girl as she rubbed his head, rubbing into her had affectionately before perking a bit to look at the man behind the counter curiously, ears perked.. And then he lost interest and dropped back down, just relaxing as they began moving somewhere else.. He was up again, looking towards the booth curiously, and then he nodded happily. He liked sitting in the sun, it was nice and warm.. Now, how to get off? Hm.. He always just jumped off of Da, but that's because he got to sit on his shoulders. This was different somehow.

Quote:
Tyyne was just about to sit down as she noticed the dilemma about the baby on the back. It was a real fun game, almost like playing family.
She smiled as she moved over to Eva and offered her arms. "I can take you, if you want." The blonde girl offered and pushed a strand of her hair out of her face. She still wasn't quite used to this. "You can choose where you want to sit then."

Quote:
Tea gave a playful little smile, "Or, I could stand on my head till he slips off." He reached an arm back to see how tight the little one was still holding. "I'm kidding of course, it'd be mean to drop him no his head. Well, that's what Momma says anyway, she still apologizes for dropping me sometimes. Dunno why." Shrugging, he set both hands on the joey's arms, "I could pull you up and over if you want, but going with Tyy would be safer."

Quote:
The little guy wriggled, and then blinked at the boy's idea, brows arched.. He grinned after finding out he was kidding. Eva didn't like being wrongside-up very much. He seemed to like Tyyne's idea best, and using a foot to keep his balance- by lightly pressing it on Tea's back- he pulled one arm from the older boy's shoulder and reached for the girl with a smile. He liked being held, to be told the truth, so moving from person to person sounded like a good deal.

Quote:
Tyyne reached for Evarobby and tried to get him into her arms safely. She had often seen how to hold a younger one and know she tried to do so carefully. Hopefully he wouldn't start wiggling, she thought. Out of a sudden emotion she kissed Eva's forehead and smiled slightly. "Please don't move too much, you're quite heavy for me." She admitted as she sat down at the table.

Quote:
Tea settled down across from them, flicking an ear curiously. Heavy? Eva seemed so light for him, strange. Instead of saying anything about it though, he decided to find out what had been going on in the world of friends he'd been missing. "What've you been doing lately Ty? S'been a while."

Quote:
The boy blinked a bit, ears perking, Whazzat? Heavy? No one had said that before- but then again, he had only been held by adults and Teagan.. Oh well. He tried to keep as still as possible now, pressing his lips into a thin line as he concentrated on not moving. As soon as they were seated, he crawled over a bit, sitting beside her. He folded his legs up, feet resting on the seat as he watched the two curiously.

Quote:
Tyyne looked at the food and felt a bit uncomfortable..again. "Well, not much. We moved into the new house, but I didn't meet many people. Just my siblings...some of them are on vacation, so it's pretty lonely at home. I watched lots of TV." The young girl admitted as she looked at the Lemur for a moment. "How about you ?"

Quote:
Teagan nodded, lifting his arms off the table when the waiter came with a plate of fresh sugared sweet potatoes. "I haven't watched much TV since I started with Coach, don't have the time. If you're lonely, maybe you should pick up a hobby, like, I dunno, swimming or something." It was an interesting suggestion, he wasn't quite sure where he'd gotten it, considering he couldn't swim himself.

Quote:
The boy seemed ot sense the girl's discomfort or something, and looked towards her now, ears drooping a bit. He cuddled into her side slightly, throwing her a smile before looking now towards the food. His ears were back up. He was curious about what sort of food there was gonna be.. He never really watched TV himself, mostly because nobody else really did and he never wanted to sit in a room alone. It was too quiet. The only thing he liked to do was climb.

Quote:
As she felt Eva moving up to her Tyyne wasn't able to surpress a smile. The offer about swimming sounded fun, but after all she didn't know how to swim. "I can't. I never went swimming before." She imagined herself as a lifeguard or a swimmer in a nice suit and brightened. "But I could try, probably."

Quote:
Tea popped a little piece of potato in his mouth, taking the time to swallow it before he spoke again, "I think you'd be good at it, Coach says everyone is built from something. I've got strong muscles, so I'm a good gymnast, you look like you'd be fast in the water." He gestured to Eva, "Dunno what he's built for, kind of tiny. Finding stuff maybe."

Quote:
The squirt popped two fingers into his mouth, a slight tilt given to his head... Swimming..? Whazzat? He had never swam before, so he was kind of out of the loop for awhile.. Something about water...? He shifted a bit as he was mentioned, and then wondered if he was gonna be good for finding stuff later.. Hmm... He dropped out of the big-kid talk for now, looking instead out the window with a cheery smile. It was nice out today... He liked it when it was sunny.

Quote:
Tyyne offered a piece of potatoe to the toddler before taking a piece for herself. It sounded easy the way Teagan said it...and the best thing was that none of her siblings was interested in swimming. "You really think I look like I'm good in water ?" She asked again and smiled. "Thank you." Her eyes concentrated on Eva for a bit as she cocked her head to one side to look at the younger one. "He looks a bit similar to you, he could be good at gymnastics too." Ty mentioned.

Quote:
Tea looked Eva over again and nodded, "Yeah, he does doesn't he? He's a great climber too, maybe something like that. And yeah, you do." In an odd little goofy spark, he balanced a chunk on his nose, then flipped it up into the air and caught it in his mouth. "Maybe Coach could help find a good swim instructor, I need to learn too, Momma thinks I'm going to drown some time."

Quote:
The squirt took the piece, popping it into his mouth and chewing slowly.. His nose wrinkled, it was okay. Sweet like fruit. If it hadn't been for the sugar he probably wouldn't have liked it.. It wasn't that he liked sweet things, either, he just mostly liked fruit and green vegetables. He hated cake and some candies. He nestled his head against Tyyne's arm, wondering if maybe he could do something real big in climbing some day. Maybe he could be the best climber in the world- well, besides Tea.

Quote:
Tyyne thought about it for a moment and nodded. "I'll talk to Mum about it. Perhaps some others could come too and learn it. Then we don't have to fear beaches and bathtubes anymore...not that I do." The girl added quickly and hugged the toddler slightly. She wasn't so much into physical contact, but if it made him happy, why not ?

Quote:
Teagan nodded and sat in silence for a few minutes, until the waiter came back with two giant bowls of spicy smelling soup and their tea. It was interesting, because he always found jambalaya sweet, even when they used this many spices. Picking up a spoon, he held a little bit of it out to the joey, "Want to taste it first?"

Quote:
The boy brightened as he was hugged, but didn't seem to like the silence so much. He didn't like the quiet.. He fidgetted a bit, but was right back up when the food came. He pushed himself forward, nodding a bit and taking in a deep breath through his nose... Hm.. Interesting smell.. He didn't take the spoon, but instead just tasted the soup off of it while Tea held it. His nose wrinkled slightly.. It was.. Okay. He nodded his approval.

Quote:
Tyyne's mind was busy with imagining herself in a swimming suit, cheering on Teagan and taking care of Eva. It was just like on TV, but this time she was able to participate. "Are you and Eva...relatives ?" She asked out of sudden as she picked up the tea to smell it. Her mother loved drinking tea so she knew there were several different kinds.

Quote:
He smiled to the toddler's reaction. Lucky shot, he'd found something the joey liked. Taking a taste himself before responding to Tyyne, he was pleasantly surprised at how fresh the veggies were. Then, he turned his attention back to the blonde girl, "Nah, but Momma says we look a lot alike. He's a kangaroo, but he's got stripes, so I can see where she gets it."

Quote:
The squirt moved onto his knees now, reaching for a spoon and the bowl. He wanted to try eating by himself- although he'd only had a few soups before, so he wasn't too experienced with soup-eating. He tilted his head at the mention of him and Tea being related.. Nah, Tea was just his buddy. He had a momma and Eva had a Da and an Arafel.. And alla that. He began slurping up his soup, tail swaying.

Quote:
"He's a kangaroo ? Where's his bag ?" Tyyne asked as her eyes examined the toddler curiously. "My mum says, I'm a bit like a daisy. It's a flower." She explained as she sipped a bit of the tea. "Are you a kangaroo too ?" As she noticed the little joey eating she smiled slightly. "You're good at eating already, I think. I guess you're able to talk, but you just don't want to. It was like that with me."

Quote:
Tea smiled, flicking his black and grey tail, "I'm a lemur." Thinking over the joey's lack of a pouch, he came up with the simplest answer, "I guess cause he's a boy kangaroo."

Quote:
The boy watched the tail as he ate, and then glanced towards Tyyne as she mentioned him being able to talk, his ears drooping slightly. But he really did wanna talk, he had just... Given up trying. His Da had said it might be because kangaroos don't make any noise, so he'll be a bit delayed or something.. He didn't really understand, but he wanted to talk. So he just shrugged now and went back to slurping up his soup.

Quote:
"Oh yes...that makes sense." Tyyne blushed because of the obvious fault and decided to concentrate on her tea. "I didn't talk, because my sisters tried to teach me. I was just overwhelmed..." She petted Eva's head slightly before she looked at her watch. "Oh no, I'm already late. I was supposed to be home quarter of an hour ago." Her eyes grew wide. That couldn't happen to her, she was always the sensible one.

Quote:
Fishing out his wallet, and the money the boys' father had given him, he set out enough to pay for the meal. He waved for the waiter to bring two containers for the soup, afterall Eva seemed to really like it. "I could get Dee to drive? I think she said she'd be waiting at the fabric store."

Quote:
The boy frowned up at her, head tilting to one side, one ear up and the other down. He hoped he learned to talk soon- even though he had really stopped trying. He didn't understand how someone could use their mouth to try and make noises. It didn't make sense... He jumped when she was suddenly distressed, his frown growing. She was late to get home? Ohh.. His ears pinned back and he let them take care of it, setting down his spoon and fidgetting.

Quote:
Tyyne was close to cry as she heard Teagan's offer. "Yes please.." A deep frown was shown on her face as she looked around uncertainly. Hopefully her mother wasn't angry or too worried. "Can we...go then please ? You can come over to my house another time and we can play with my dolls or so..." She offered and looked at Eva. "You can of course come too."

Quote:
The lemur stood, laying a hand on her shoulder before he scooped the joey back onto his back. With one free hand, he picked the containers up, then held his other out to her, "Don't worry about it, if she gets angry it'll be my fault."

Quote:
The boy hugged the girl before being picked up, trying to make her feel better. He nestled into the older boy's back, frown still plastered on, ears flattened back. He was sad because she was sad, and it looked like she was gonna cry. It made him unhappy.

Quote:
"We need to tell Freize that we're going." Tyyne suddenly recognised as she got up. Hopefully her mother wouldn't be angry..."You...really would ?" Teagan was so brave.

Quote:
"Right" He sped to a fast walk, headed back to the front door of the mall and the store they had last seen the weremutt at, "Course I would, most things are my fault anyway." With a little smile he shifted Eva a little higher up so the child would be able to spot his father. "Once we find Dee, want to call you mom so she won't worry?"

Quote:
The boy rested his hands on the lemur's shoulders, sitting upright, looking around for his Da as soon as they were inside.

The weremutt was at the counter of the store, having just paid for some clothes, and was picking up the bags when he spotted them, "Hey... What's going on?" He sensed some sort of tenseness in the atmosphere, his brows arching. And something must be going on because Eva looked pretty down. That meant someone else was.

Eva wriggled for a moment, lips pressed into a thin line, brows furrowed. He felt bad.. And he couldn't fix things for Tyyne, so it made things worse.
