i have played most of the forgotten realms games
eyes of the beholder series was decent concidering how old it is (80s+)
the first GOOD realms game was the baldurs gate series...my FAVORITE of all of them. (you drizzt and jarlaxl jan-peoples get to team with them at seperate points of the sotry for a short time, and elminster is int he first one)
icewind dale was good as well, though i havent played it much
myth drynnor was a horrible game (game play wise) but was na awesome story
icewind dale two was awesome, and was the first game to REALLY show off the 3e rules
neverwinter nights was good, gameplay wise...but had the worst story ever, but the expansions (atlead hordes of the underdark) were great stories
havent played neverwinter nights 2 and probobly wont for a few years, i cannot afford a 3ghz processor right now to play it crying
...and champions of norath is not forgotten realms, it is evercrack >_>

i miss playing Baldur's Gate sad and my Neverwinter Night 2 game doesn't work cause my comp is the fail XD

I know what you mean. Mine is the same way (ironically, its name is Blackstaff... heh...). It was only recently I was able to get a computer that was able to play NWN1.

mine plays NWN for a lil while and then my comp crashes >< since when has it become so hard to play a game

BTW, and this is in a serious rant mode so please take it with an unction of forgiveness...
Why or why must the Salvatore characters be in every single Forgotten Realms product that is released!?!? Seriously, there are other characters who deserve as much attention, if not more. I'm so damn sick and tired of seeing Drizzt, Jarlaxle, and Artimis every-freaking-where!!!
Why can't people get out of the damn Underdark and spend some time in, say, Waterdeep or Silverymoon!?!

was it 1374? o o i thought it was 1376 must be stuck in a time vortex my DM has me in
anywho i like the whole Salvatore character and Sword Coast thing they are definately renowned in the heart of fans and earned their place in products but i do agree there is more than just the North as famous/infamous it is i always encourage my group(s) to look farther East and South in the world now we have a few Haluurians and more Cormyreons in the world and if we encourage this expansion maybe we'll see more of our favorite hotspots
but as i heard Ed Greenwood once say in an article NPCs should be there to inspire not to play

I probably don't pay enough attention to what year it is, officially. I just pay attention to what year it is in the campaign I'm in (1372, currently). sweatdrop Berz.

You should hear my group talk about the NPC's of FR. They go on for hours and you can tell that they are the inspiration as to why they play. One likes Eravis Cale and the other like Bruenor. I personally am fond of Cadderly. But besides these characters existing in the realms during the time period of the players, they truly have fun knowing that exist in this realm with them and are sometimes helping their causes.

I really like both Baldur's Gate games, and I've played both Icewind Dale games but the 2nd one is better... I love Neverwinter Nights.. but my dumb computer won't let me Play NWN2..
Which means, that's one of the games I want to play, along with Demonstone and Dark Alliance..
I think it would have been cool had Black Isle made Baldur's Gate 3!
