Okay, new covers of paperback versions of the series aside, back to the MAIN topic of the thread, I came across it again on Amazon! Here! I AM SO EXCITED! and it says: Quote: Editorial Reviews Book Description Life is a turbulent journey, fraught with confusion, heartbreak, and inconvenience. Unfortunately, this book will not help. Instead, this book of wit and wisdom offers a selection of alarming but inescapable truths from the work of Lemony Snicket, along with selections from his unpublished papers and remarks he has made at dinner parties and anarchist riots. To me is sounds most like the Unofficial Autobiography... which I hope, as that is actually my favorite of all of the series. Whatever it is, I can not wait till May 1st.

It definitely sounds like it will be similar to the UA, which would be neat. I already preordered it.

sir_mitchell_m sweet i cant wait any one know how long it will be? According to the Chapters/Indigo website (Canadian bookseller), it's going to be ninety-six pages with 6.6 x 9.03 x 1.4" dimensions (Canadian bookseller with the dimensions in inches... Weird, eh?). But I wouldn't take that as definitive since the site also says it's coming out April 11th... Which seems early compared to the other dates that have been floating around. I can't remember if anyone posted what it looks like, so here's the Chapters link (with all the size details that I quoted). http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/books/item/books-978006124006/0061240060/Horseradish-Bitter-Truths-You-Cant-Avoid?ref=Search+Books:+'Snicket'

Lamentably no... When is it out again? My Chapter's website still says the 11th for Horseradish, which has come and gone. Should I drive into Winnipeg to see if it's there?

Amazon.com for here (U.S.) says April 24. Huh but the Canadian one says the 11th! And it looks like you can order it...so mayhaps you guys got it first! surprised

I doubt it, that makes no sense at all. In any case, I'm going shopping tomorrow, so I'll take a look see. lemonysnicket.com doesn't give an official release date for 'Horseradish', but the Penny Dreadfuls are apparantly out May 8th... Drat! I'm going to be in France...
***
Been to Winnipeg, it's not there. The woman at the bookstore said HarperCanada probably made a mistake when they set the Canadian release date... Everywhere says it came out the 11th, yet nowhere has actually recieved a shipment. The date she had down for shipment was the 24th, which coresponds to the US release date, so that makes sense. Stupid HarperCollins with their stupid Canadian branch that can't get the stupid dates right...

Just got a e-mail for HarperCollins with info on Horseradish and the Penny Dreadfuls: HarperCollins Consuming horseradish can make your eyes tear, your nostrils flare, and your heart feel like it is on fire. For this reason, you should think twice before consuming Lemony Snicket's new book, Horseradish: Bitter Truths You Can't Avoid. In thirteen far-reaching chapters—from "Family" to "Emotional Health," from "A Life of Mystery" to "The Mystery of Life" —Horseradish puts the unhappy mind of Mr. Snicket at your fingertips. This compendium of wisdom drawn from his published works and his unpublishable remarks is the perfect gift for loved ones and enemies alike. For, while misfortune is never pleasant, it is always safer to have a heavy book on hand. If Horseradish doesn't upset you enough, you can always look forward to next month's release of The Bad Beginning and The Reptile Room in paperback. If you think you know what to expect, you don't. With a startling new look and all-new art, each paperback includes HarperCollins's "The Cornucopian Cavalcade," featuring "The Spoily Brats" comic and the "What Shall I Do, Lemony Snicket?" advice column, as well as other extras for a nearly unbearable value. Are you certain you want to download a free sampler? So looks like the paperbacks Penny Dreadfuls have new cover art (as we've seen) and added goodies. And (looks at calander) Gasp! Horseradish should come out today, right? Ooo....I'm tempted to head downtown tonight. XD
