The young witch chuckled, "It is a nice change, actually. Many here grew up knowing me, so manners are in most cases not there as much as they are with strangers." Kaori turned slightly and tilted her head to indicate that Abel should follow her. "I think it is part of the reason I have not moved into town. It is nice to be away from everyone for a while."

Abel nodded yet again, the half-demon seemed to be doing a lot of agreeing and a lot less talking. He seemed to be a bit quieter after mentioning his growing up, but he shook his head snapping out of it a few moments later. He mumbled something to the extent that sounded like 'Shame' but it was hard to be sure.
He knew all too well what people could be like, adn staying away from them, was even more pleasant for the most part for him. Obiantely following her, he agreed. "It's nice to be away from it all, to think without intrusion, or at least I find it to be."

Kaori nodded in agreement, "It is. I think it is the only reason that I have been able to advance in my magic in anyway.... Not that it has been much, but it helps...." Kori shook her head to keep from dragging up old memories and wishes." If her smile had faded, she replaced it quickly. The young woman refused to ever let her past get her down, but in the process she ended to shove it to the back of her mind and bottle her emotions up.

Abel paused for a moment, he glaced at Kaori, something changed. He shivered, as if shaking off the feeling, thinkin nothing of it, he took a few long strides to catch up again. Of course with his long limbs, he made it look easy, pacing himself a half stride behind the young witch. Abel resisted the urge to simply nodd. "Yes, it helps in lots of ways, but then, it can also destroy just as easily."
He paused, turning his head to look at her, he tilted his head, wondering if she'd understand or not. And if not, would she pursue it. He shook his head, looking before him again, and what if she didnt? 'it doesnt matter' he thought.

Kaori's smile saddened again at his comment as she turned to look back at Abel, "It is an easy thing to do. Much more so than other methods. Besides, where would someone like me find help in an area such as this?" Turning back around, she weaved through the crowd, trying to turn her mind to other things, but finding that it was failing.
Instead, the young woman resorted to the mask that she had often worn when growing up. "Is there anything in particular that you'd like for dinner?"

Abel nodded yet again, meeting her eyes, his own gray ones telling a hardly read story. "Mmm the question has been asked many times in such circumstances with non humans."
Abel gazed upward toward the blue sky, feeling that block, somewhere, for some reason, he could sense it. He shivered again, then said something more, ignoring her question to cover up the fact. "It's not safe."
Abel's voice was quiet, again, he had seen as so much else, people destroy themselves and others hiding behind emotions, bottling them up, but he couldn't say much for himself. So much for not being a hipocrite.

Kaori smirked slightly, "Niether is being what we are, even though we can not control it." They were out of the village by now and Kaori picked up the pace so that they could reach her house before dark. The witch bit her lip and swallowed a lump that had formed in her throat.
"We should be at my place soon, you can sit down there. I'll make supper for us. Do you have a place to stay yet?"

Abel shook his head. "Theres nothing wrong with being the way we are. Its just we have to dodge things, like people who have previous thoughts, that none of us are any good."
He coughed stiffly, his eyes back to their normal cold, he shook his head, yet again. "Not yet, but I can find somewhere." He lengthened his strides again. His voice was again back to its normal volume. His thoughts were still on the previous subject, even when Kaori kept trying to push it away.

"You can stay at my place if you want. I have lots of space. My parents had wanted a large family," Kaori chuckled slightly at the idea. As much as her parents had talked about having more kids, they had always treated her as if she would be their only child.
Turning down a side lane Kaori glanced to the side to make sure that Abel was keeping up with her, as the young woman had a tendancy to walk fast. She saw the coolness back in his eyes and felt a pang of sadness.

Abel nodded a bit, "Well, if you're sure I wouldnt be too much trouble, if it is, I can find an inn." Abel's biggest fear was to be too bold, he would hate if anyone found it too much trouble to help him, with anything.
Abel long legs made sure there was no problem in keeping up. And as she glanced back, his cold gray gaze remained before him, oblivious to the fact she had looked back at him. He sighed, and reached up to push his long silver hair out of his eyes again, pushing all previous thoughts from his mind.

Kaori smiled as se turned again, this time up the lane that led to her house. "It is no problem at all, Abel," she assured him, "Unless you are allergic to animals that is." As she said that, a large cream coloured dog came tearing down the driveway, barking loudly with its tounge lolling out of its mouth. Laughing, the young woman knelt down just as the dog reached her, "Hey girl," she chuckled as she scratched behind its ears.

Abel resisted tohe urge to chuckle as he watched the dog, he shook his head. Animals seemed, to him at least, to let him come out of his shell, relax, and not be so cold. Because he had a soft spot for animals, especially dogs, mostly because they had no predjudices, and always seemed so happy to see you. "Not at all, thank you for your kindness Kaori."
Although he fought to keep back a laugh, Abel couldnt resist the half smile that played at his thin lips as he gazed down at the dog. The cream colored coat reminded him so much of his own wolf form, although he had black points.

Kaori caught his smile out of the corner of her eye and her own deepened. "Do not mention it Abel," she replied. Standing up she patted the side of her leg, indicating to the dog that she should walk beside her. With a happy 'woof' she stood up and kept stride with the young witch. "Her name is Sadie," she told him with a proud smile. "Her and the others are like family to me, I've raised most of them since they were puppies and kittens."

Abel gave a curt nodd, following the two. He looked down as he noticed the young witch caught his smile. Strangely he felt like hes a weakling for giving in so easily with others present. And yet, strangely it felt good to let his guard down, he shook his head, feeling vulnerable and weak. "Sadie, i bet shes a good dog."

Kaori nodded, "She is, for the most part. She does tend to get, ah.... over enthusistic and friendly at times. She is only three though, so she still has tons of energy in store. The others are a bit older, they prefer to lay on the porch." Kaori nodded towards her house, indicating the dogs laying there.
There were three on the porch in total, a large black and brown dog, a small white dog and one that was between the two in size that was greyish white. All three of them stood up and started wagging their tails when they saw the two coming up the drive way. They 'woofed' happly and jumped down the stairs and troted over to them. They greated Kaori, then walked over to snife the stranger that was with their 'mom'.
