"Ger lives out under the stares even in the Sadness of the Kings. I like it under the stars."
He smiled as his reflex to catch Kimaji's fall faded. She was just so adorable. She was as cub-like as he was at times. It was an amusing relationship to say the least. But this Maji seemed rather knowledgeable and seems to be good company for her. Besides, he already knew she loved water.
"One of these days, I owe you a nice swim, you know that? In that lake again. You remember right?"
Oh yes, that great lake in the middle of the forest. It was the most beautiful things he has seen, rivaling the beauty of a few others. It was just so angelic when he first saw it and that was how he always saw it.

"Kimaji finds it funny out here, there are actually clouds. " She said, looking up. It was strange, but she'd never seen the clouds go over the forest, nor rain.
shespeeded her trot a little, almost as if anxious to geet home and swqimat the mention of it. "Ger would like swimming! Now Kimaji can swim almost to the middle of the lake! " She said with satisfaction.
"She hasn't seen the monster in a while though.. " Kimaji was oblivious to the drought, and that this killed the fish. They were each time going more and more to the middleof the water, and when she went there, they were too scared to even risk an investigation.

"Ger likes it out here. Ger likes the clouds a lot. Clouds are fun."
He replied in a cub-like tone and chuckled a bit. She was so much fun to spend time with. He could relax and be as playful as cub and he could not possibly hurt her. Besides, she could hit him back if he did hurt her.
When Kimaji moved faster, he too sped up his pace to move beside her.
"That is great to hear, Kimmy! Tell you the truth, I can't swim real good. I sort of...never learned."
He chuckled and nuzzled her side a bit.
"How far now?"

She looked at him suprised. "Ger doesn't know how to swim? " Se wished her tail, to her, this seemed so normal. "Kimaji can show Ger, its easy! " She said, smiling.
"Not far, we just gotta get in jungle, then home! " The forest wasn't that far now, infact, they were almost in it, thescenario vchangingg, trees closed in and the sunlight died out, not only because it was getting darker, but because of the trees, fighting toget more of it thanthe other. Only, lately, this might be to get the first drops of rain if it ever did.

Ger looked around as the trees seemed to engulf him inside their branches, taken by them. He was theirs. Luckily, he was beside Kimmy whom was a resident of the forest and probably knew it well.. With that one mind his heart was at ease...for the most part.
"Nope...never learned. I can hunt, I can run, I can climb, I can roar, I can chirp, but I can't swim."
He admitted.

"Thats odd. Why don't you go swimming in the water out there? " Here in the forest, there weren't crocodiles, or if there had been, they had eitherdied or left with the drought.
She hgot side tracked though, and started a sprint, only going two paces before stopping though. Now wasn't the time to go after the mouse! It was getting late, afterall.

Ger sped up faster, enough to get an inch or two ahead of the white female and maintain it. He chuckled and turned his head forward to see where he was running too.
"Well, if there was water out there to swim in, I would. The water holes are too shallow, I could stand in it and it will not go that far up. To be honest, I just had no place to learn it."
He turned to her and smile.
"Maybe someone as great as you could teach a fool like me how to."

"There gotta be water out there! " She said indignantly, trotting a bit then puffing up with pride. "Kimaji can teach Ger! See! " She said confidently, then sped through the forest. There was something good about Kimaji's constant mouse chasing, she had grown freakishly used to running fast between the trees.
She continued on, apperently not caring if Ger was ahead of behind, or even if he knew where she was going, or if she'd get him lost. But soon, the trees seemed to vanish, and she leaped, front paws outstreched and then there was a splash.
The silver-gray head of a lioness popped out of the water, peering towards the forest, attempting to locate Ger, ears foreward.

Ger emerged from the shelters of the many trees, it was the lake again. It was just as magnificent as it was during the day. The surface gleamed the wonderful red burning sky of the setting sun. It was getting darker. Looking around, the tree line seemed to bend inward as if to watch over the great lake before them. He smiled and looked to Kimaji.
"You're quite anxious aren't ya?"
He chuckled and jumped in too. He ran and jumped right in, nothing fancy. He padded with his feet as if walking, well running now and kept his head up above the water.
"It's....hard...to..breath..."

"Water is fun! " She stuck her tongue out, paddling in circules around Ger. "Thats why you gotta keep your head up! " She said, raising her chin and head above the water, then swiming a paw at Ger's face, thorwing water in his direction.
"And if Ger wants to go under the water, he has to hold his breath! "

Ger shivered and floated there for a moment. He didn't want to do anything, anything at all. He was just gonna float there.
"How about I just swim to the other side...just like I am now."
He said. Underwater, he was flailing like a maniac falling out of a tree. He had no idea what he was doing. Slowly, he turned and started to move across to the other side, trying his chest to keep his head above the water.

Kimaji blinked, and paddled towards Ger, shoving her maw uderneath his chin and raising it. "Ger is swimming odd! How is he gonna keep his head up like that? " She scoleded, pulling away from him, then swimming with her shoulder against his, pushing him into a circule.
"Ger swim like Kimaji now. " She said, paddling rythmicly next to him, as if it could help him start swimmingbetter instead of flailing around.

Ger flailed a bit when Kimaji made movements against him that he was very uncomfortable with. He never had to do this before, oh no. Kimaji touched him when he was in water, one place he was not good with. He had no idea how to swim anything touching him would make him feel weird. He felt like if something touched him would make him fall to the bottom or he could not swim afterwards. Paranoia.
"I'm trying! Flu-I mean Ger is trying!"
He wailed as he tried to stabilize himself and paddle along side the female. He still wasn't used to it just yet.

"Just do like Kimaji! " She smiled, attempting to make him move his front paws the same way she was. "Ger won't drown or anything! Kimaji save Ger if he does. " She purred at the thought of having to pull the lion out of the water.
"Its easy, but Ger isn't doing it right. "

Oh god...is she trying to kill me?
Ger gulped and turned around looking at the land where her den with Swaii is suppose to be. Now, how to get there. There was the option to swim to it. No, Kimaji would catch him too fast and well, he didn't think he could do it. His paws tried to reach down to see if he could touch the bottom, no avail. What if he ran? It would be like running in mid air. It was worth a try.
Ger dove under her, taking a breath making him 'puffy-cheeked'. Kicking in the water as if he was running, he moved slowly, but surely. Hopefully, she did not notice his escape plan and saw it more as a game. The male's head emerged and he pressed on to the shore.
Land! Land! Land!
He screamed in his mind.
His upper body rested on the shore, his chest panting heavily.
"I'm.....never swimming......again..."
